Selling everything during April bubble last year.  Sad

Too bad you didn't buy back a month after

So frustrated for buying just 10 coins when the price was $420..
Also missed very nice $380 price this April: I was on a Caribbean trip that time and was completely away from internet, cell phone..

Yeah but if an asteroid hit Earth and killed us all I would have preferred the trip...  Gotta enjoy life somewhere in there

 Wink

Buying at 630$ is still pretty good compared to the upside potential
1742  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 11, 2014, 12:39:36 PM
Mmh, there it is again... that feeling of controlled apprehension.

Enjoyable, even.

As long as we don't go below ~580.

It is going down again, any idea why?

Can't wait to go up up up Smiley
1743  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will BTC reach $50,000? on: June 11, 2014, 12:38:53 PM
There will be so much government resistance when btc hits a few thousand per coin, let alone multiple thousands per coin.  So many things would need to fall into place for us to get above probably 2k. The numbers we are talking here would be like literally replacing the currency of several first world countries

I don't think we need that much to reach a few thousands dollars, just a loss of confidence in the future value of the USD, a financial crisis, higher rates of adoption or a bubble
1744  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will BTC reach $50,000? on: June 10, 2014, 07:58:14 PM
Never.
50000$ is faaar to much.
21M * 50000$ = 1*10^12$ = 1 000 BILLIONS DOLLARS.

5000$ is max.

edit: the only way is to destroy 20M bitcoins )) other 1M become priceless ^_^

Why 5000$ and 100B nominal valuation is max?Huh?
1745  Other / Off-topic / Re: IF YOU HAD 1,000,000 DOLLARS WHAT WOULD YOU BUY??? on: June 10, 2014, 07:17:58 PM
This forum so I could delete threads like these.

Fat chance -- it's gonna cost a million bucks just to upgrade the forum. Probably worth quite a bit more than that, realistically.

Ad spots have been sold for 27BTC this week so 1400BTC annualized, the forum could be worth 14,000BTC

The potential revenue from the forum far exceed 1,400BTC so I bet the price would be much higher
1746  Economy / Gambling / Re: THE BEST BITCOIN POKER SITE IS... on: June 10, 2014, 07:14:13 PM
Why the other websites are good? What do they have?
1747  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 10, 2014, 07:13:50 PM
Someone is desperated about price going over $650 at Bitstamp now for a few days (and have a lot of coins).

We cant do much, just sit here and wait for jump or right time.

Let's just hope it happens soon Smiley
Me want actionz!

I have a small sell pending. The swings are quite small but I am bored and want to make something.

good luck with that... maybe I take back my previous comment and we are NOT thinking in the same terms.... but anyhow, you may be able to profit and trade in this current market.  I personally believe thatit is NOT worth the effort.. and better to play long.. and maybe  trade later...

However, if you acquired your BTC at below $266, then maybe it does NOT matter too much to skim off a few profits here and there.. at this price or at $800... either way, it is profits.

Most traders would be better off holding, among those some get lucky and make a profit / holding
1748  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why have you joined Bitcoin? on: June 10, 2014, 07:12:47 PM
I joined because I was amazed by the protocole and the possibility and to be part of the revolution

I think the protocol is a great technological advancement with all sorts of potential uses. However, I don't understand why people think it's "revolutionary". I don't see it at all.

It is revolutionary to be able to do safer contracts and transactions without lawyers and banks
1749  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: I have 3 Million USD to invest into Crypto Currency - How should I do it? on: June 10, 2014, 10:58:53 AM
as others have said... please don't advertise you are rich.
you will receive 10000 emails a day with virus's.. and 1000000000 pm's a day with virus's
and a shit load of bad advice telling you to invest in some alt coin.

if you have 3 million you are obviously doing smething right... keep doing what ever it is you are doing

and maybe donate to me =)

Good advices

But the way I see it the 3m is the amount he wants to diversify in crypto currencies or maybe a few friends decide to pool their money together to invest in crypto

He didn't give his email or much personal info
1750  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 6BTC investment into mining, worth it ? on: June 10, 2014, 10:56:53 AM
3k usd is not much.
hold onto your Bitcoins... it might go up it might go down.. but if you buy mining equipment it will go down and difficulty will go up.
so yeah, hold your bitcoins. I reckon most minors would of preferred they held onto thier coins. espeacilly ones who spent 100 or 1000s of bitcoins when they were $5 on pre-orders

The same goes with traders or most Bitcoin investments : Most would have been better off holding

OP probably has more than 6BTC total
1751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does martingale really works? on: June 10, 2014, 10:55:46 AM

FAQ
How it work ?
It’s very easy, you send BTC from your wallet, you get back x2 of your deposit in 48 hours. Example: invest 0.1 and get back 0.2
Do I need to register in your website?
Just send BTC to wallet. And wait double your money.

Is this a ponzi or HYIP system?
Absolutely no, HYIP and Ponzi systems are made to get away when there are enoght funds (collected through rounds, blocks or waiting time) to steal by owners of system.

How long should I wait for payout?
The maximum time for each payment you send the money after 48 hours.

An example of our profit?
You deposits 0.1  will get 0.02 BTC Return.

Do you will refund me if I don’t get back my BTC?
Yes, Only for technicals inconvenience we will refund the depositaries. The ONLY case that we can’t refund is when you send BTC from a shared wallet. Since you’ve deposited funds you cannot ask a chargeback, just wait the system until it’ll get you back your gain.

Can I use a web wallet?
Using the Blockchain.info web wallet is OK! Other web wallets are good BUT shared wallet are denied because you’d be deposit from a shared address and we have no way of knowing what’s the address we can send your payout to.

You'd have to be an idiot to fall for this

1754  Economy / Gambling / Re: [dicenow.com] btc/ltc casino - 10,000 rolls per click - play/invest - multi edge on: June 10, 2014, 10:40:45 AM
Yes you got it. And he was hoping for multiple edge since there are many different games on the world with different edge. Which having different house pools might be useful in future

Ok I understand, it makes sense now

Most the action is in the 1% betting pool though, more than 3times the volume in the 3% pool so your expected rate of return is higher on your money invested in the 1% bankroll
1755  Economy / Economics / Re: Worst bitcoin decision you've ever made? on: June 10, 2014, 10:39:18 AM
Not CPU mining in early 2009 for three months until difficulty started to increase.

Three months of CPU mining would be worth around $12,000,000 today.

Did you know that the original Bitcoin-qt client mined when it was running? So, everyone who had it installed mined a ton.

You could mine some BTC at the very beginning with the client

You could mine a ton if you learned how to build a mining rig

2009

2011 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEGIZOO-HYY

That guy is probably rich at this point. It seemed like it went well.

If he didn't sell too soon, lost the bitcoins or stored them on mtgox

I imagine he sold at least a big portion.
Guess back then it would be hard to be so optimistic as to imagine where btc would be nowadays Smiley

Most of those who learned about Bitcoin early didn't hold any substantial amount of BTC; only the crazy believers, the lucky few that forgot they had a wallet and the entrepreneurs

That is the one reason I don't regret not getting into bit coin earlier. I would be one of those that spent or lost of their coins.

It is better to enter now and stash safely tens of bitcoins than getting in very early and spend/lose most of it or all of it like the guy who lost 500BTC on JD a week ago then proceeded to get a 11.5% APR loan to buy 40BTC that he lost as well

80% of the population is urban in western countries

we mostly agree, stop arguing Grin

I said the urban elite, i.e those who work in white-collar professions. Those who work in blue-collar professions usually get married much earlier. But the first group which I mentioned wait until they are 35 or 40.

Either 35 or 40? Find me the exact average age and we will start talking instead of saying pseudo-truth based on your perception of the world
1757  Other / Off-topic / Re: IF YOU HAD 1,000,000 DOLLARS WHAT WOULD YOU BUY??? on: June 10, 2014, 10:36:43 AM
I would stick it all on black on a Roulette table.

You will have 1,000,000$ in 20years when it is worth a tiny fraction of what is is worth today and you may play it on Black Grin
1758  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will BTC reach $50,000? on: June 10, 2014, 10:35:59 AM
Usually on those threads more than 50% of the messages are negative; last week on this thread almost all messages are really positive, does that tell us we are getting there?
