1744  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade with caution on: July 14, 2023, 09:29:36 AM
I have seen the risk in trading and its noticeable that trading needs more concentration than any other thing in the cryptocurrency investment,  I know I'm knew here but after reading what investors pass through for the loss they experience in trading, I have to share this with us.
At this point I think we getting things mixed up here , as crypto investments in this space involve hodling of coins and investors have no risk of being liquidated which happens when trading with a broker!!
So not sure of what experience these investors told...

I know that trading need more seriousness and concentration because its a risk job and risk investment
You will be shocked that with bitcoin investments , you can use a simple strategy of buy and forget and by the time you be coming back after a few months or years your portfolio could have 3X or 5X or maybe even more its all about how much hype has been generated.
1745  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I am only trying to stay safe by gambling less on: July 14, 2023, 04:55:17 AM
I am not a gambling addict but some friends are making me look like one because I gamble less and they gamble more, it all started when we got into an argument that investing in Bitcoin is not the same as gambling, my friends who are gamblers, not full-time but more of a gambler than I am, are claiming that there is no difference between investing and gambling, they said if all you doing is investing money on Bitcoin you are no different to those who are gambling in a casino.
Mate you don't need to always prove yourself that you are right, but if your friends still insist let them have a $50 today and gamble it while you use your $50 to buy bitcoin and sell who will have it after a week!! After this experiment,  we shall conclude which of the two will be considered gambling.

Still, I refuse this because I believe they are wrong, Bitcoin market has charts and I am playing with charts even if I am a full-time Bitcoin trader, all I need to do is read charts, and if I am good at it I will win vs gambling, where it's you vs a company which we can never tell if their games are completely fair or not.
Wrong comparison here, I have seen people trade charts by looking at how candles are forming and for every green candle the buy and for every red candle they sell and you can guess the outcome from this was a total loss and this is what will be considered as gambling!

Furthermore, I told them that Bitcoin investors tend to get positive results, while online casino gamblers tend to get negative results more than positive result, true or false?
Honestly you selling dreams when you make it sound  this way, bitcoin investments aren't a one way street to profits.

1746  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tips on crypto investment on: July 13, 2023, 04:30:44 PM
As newbies when investing in crypto don't be satisfied with your leading knowledge attainment about crypto, endeavor to continually do research on the crypto asset's you have invested on as it would aide you on a trajectory course  about your investment's. By so doing you're not easily taking by surprise on any misgiving that may arise about a portfolio you have investment with.
Said it like a crypto investor, great advice 👍Smiley

Another gateway to keep abreast is to get connected as a member of an active crypto community or platform. Having membership of different communities is an added advantage but make sure  they are a genuine platform with a good history just like bitcointalk.
I don't agree to this statement as this is a 50/50 thing,  as investments having nothing to do with a community or forum! If you are joining  a community  or forum this should be on grounds of gaining more knowledge and learning  from others what they have gone through , Do's and Don'ts etcetera.

Besides not everyone will be helpful in your crypto journey when it comes to online communities/forums as others might be out to get the same coins you call an investment via dubious methods and will befriend you in trying to get get closer to you..be cyber smart!

As a matter of fact, it's very unsafe to depend on a single coin. In otherwords, invest into more than one token by spreading your investment into potential coins but be careful not to invest into pump and dump coins. Above all, make sure to maintain risk management in which ever crypto asset you are investing in.
People who have depended on a single coin such as bitcoin have been rewarded handsomely over the years and this formula still works when BTC is the coin you have.

Btw, Naturally everyone will tell you to diversify your portfolio  to minimize risk, but then again, love of altcoins exposes you to bad risky coins which means pump and dump schemes can be closer to you than imagined...which means your portfolio value will be constantly fluctuating.
1747  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it Advisable joining Bitcoin signal group? on: July 13, 2023, 02:49:20 PM
I have been reffered to join some signal groups but considering how everyone is claiming to no almost everything about Bitcoin trading which actually they did not, which resulted for many people to lose their money because of Crypto signal groups, were as they put almost all their money thinking the signal is a sure, little did they know they were making a terrible mistake.
First off you have given us the answer why not to believe or join these signal groups!

Secondly, if the the signal group is a paid one, believe it or not the owners of such a group are cashing in on the subscriptions even before they provide a service, and nobody will hold them accountable should you lose money as they too have disclaimers of risk involved with trading and what not.

So when it comes to signal groups, you are better off learning the art yourself and not be dependent on others!!

I'd be curious to know what commonality @Peanutswar, @mdgabrielzim, and @Woodie have had in their browsing history.  If they all clicked on a phishing link, or if they all downloaded some software, or if they all participated in an off-site give-away that asked for forum details.  It would seem they all fell into the same trap.
I thought it was some of the new crypto platforms I have interacted with in the last couple of months, but unfortunately, I have ruled them out on the basis of other two accounts not being participants of service reviews or thread discussion!

I have also looked at Peanutswar and mdgabrielzim post history to try and find common ground of where this exploit might have originated from and honestly, we are three different people.

But my wild guess would be that, we all haven't changed passwords for a very long time and possibly **just assuming** maybe someone had access of the forums database and just started to act on this..and the fact that account sales might not be lucrative anymore, our accounts couldn't be sold but instead went for the loans for easy money...
And lastly, this hacker chose his/her victims based on any history of a user getting a loan and didn't use any other account that has never applied for one as this could raise suspicion ...it's my only logical explanation.

Unusual ip I found via bitcointalk.org/myips.php  based on the deleted post date and time thanks to the loyce club archives.
Code:
Singapore 84.17.39.166

The loan I did not apply for as can be seen below
The myips.php page only goes back 30 days. That means you couldn't have found this IP just now.
I got that ip using myips.php page when I discovered this compromise months back not that I checked for this yesterday its also saved incase I get a hit when i search for it!
Btw, I have been doing my own investigation to see how much damage was done on my side and everything seems intact,  no social media account login attempts, bank accounts login attemps just cant find this guy.

Woodie was worried about the loan request and made a post in shasan lending thread, but he has deleted that post too. What's going on actually? Peanutswar ~ mdgabrielzim ~ Woodie, how big the hacking attempt is?
Just for the record I did not delete that message of me making my inquiry of what was happening, thought the mods did!

Believe it or not, if I hadn't had another loan with Shasan,  today I would have been paying a loan of $900+ which I didn't not get or apply for... And in my case, I had a loan for which I was late by a day or so and I thought it was a way of Shasan trying to get at me as I only saw a quote of the loan application without actual application and this was done when I was going offline!
But whatever is happening someone has found some kind of backdoor or exploit to the system of impersonating users...maybe its a cookie hack!! Because I never reuse my passwords, am not the kind of person that clicks on unknown links and lastly the only possible way of my password being got was through lastpass, but after this failed loan attempt I have been moving away from the last pass. (Even if lastpass was compromised, at least i think a geolock would have prevented this from happening, besides what were the odds of a lastpass hacker knowing about the forum Huh and the loan section ZERO CHANCE)

And this is how my pending loan saved me from a $900+ loan, its getting scary out here...

~snip~

The only thing I see here is the fact that Napoli is simply propping up the price for Oshimen because they don't want to lose their talisman. They know that if they set the price high enough, even the biggest clubs in the world won't not make any attempt to sign him. Oshimen is a quality striker and Napoli knows this. Losing him now would be a set back for the team. We're talking about a team that started to see some success recently, so it's only right that they keep up with that streak. I don't see Oshimen signing for any club in this transfer market.

Any clubs interested should just wait till his contract expires then, they can get him for a fair price.

I saw a few posts about Liverpool needing Oshimen - same way we were rumored to put $200M on the table for Mbappe. Not happening. Liverpool have plenty of attack options right now and the only areas Liverpool was lacking was the midfield department which looks settled now with the arrival of Mac Allister and szobolai.
@Nelson4lov welcome back, you have been missing in action for quite some time..hope all is good  Smiley

Talking of Oshimen, for the right price their talismans can be bought and at this point Napoli knows very well the Jem they have and the potential clients that can pay the right price...if not PSG, MAn City, or Saudi Arabia this man will stay put with the Italians and keep getting those goals!

Besides PSG broke the transfer market in "Europe' and they can do it again with Oshimen seeing Messi left already, and potentially Neymar and Mbappe are on the verge of leaving meaning replacements of these players will be needed.

Tbh that Arab money is up for the talking and they wouldn't mind breaking the transfer market with their target man again, knowing very well good strikers are hard to come by!

Can only imagine what would happen at United should the Glazzers settle for a sell while markets are still open Roll Eyes
1752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 12, 2023, 11:12:07 AM
When it comes to Manchester United have you heard any offer made by them for Harry Kane recently? Because I haven't heard that even though they are so-called among the interested teams to sign him currently.
This whole news of Harry Kane moving to Real Madrid or Manchester United is all click bait at this point as these tabloids are using his name to farm their traffic!
If we look at Kanes age and most of these teams looking for a player that can usher in the new generation, he doesn't just fit the profile and at this point it won't surprise me if he doesn't leave Spurs Roll Eyes

Saw something on skysports news...

What do you guys think, "United and Chelsea told Osimhens too pricey for Premier league" and just so you know, Napoli is asking for 170 million pounds ...we're is football going with such price tags Huh

Hope Victor got the memo  that the Premier league is a different ball game...and if he believes  he is that good, let him take up the challenge!!

1753  Economy / Economics / Re: Fast Transportation Makes Economic Turnover Faster on: July 12, 2023, 05:11:50 AM
Unfortunately the example used of Pizza being delivered  by jet pack won't hilight the role transportation plays in our day to day activities.

But it would be eye opening if we looked at transportation being part of infrastructure side of an economy, which means delivery of goods and services is affected positively,  quality of life is improved so are provisions of quality well paying jobs... Tbh it's a bit complex to see how transportation plays a role in our economies on its own,  but if you look at the manufacturing industry fkr example,  you will realize lead time depends on the transportation side, which also requires quality infrastructure  such as good roads,
good railway systems, availability of airports etc and if these exist means paying less on goods and services as access to our homes or suppliers is easy to get to and less spoilage etcetera.
1754  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is bitcoin pumping when the economy is heading into a recession? on: July 11, 2023, 09:45:53 PM
I thought the last bull run would be the last we would have seen of bitcoin ever reaching those heights so I stopped looking at the crypto space ever since.
Why do you say "Last bull run" ?? Bitcoin isn't going anywhere mate, fyi cryptocurrencies are just getting started!!

And for as long as not everyone has internet access in some parts of the world, tells you technology that includes crypto still have room for growth so let's not give up just yet..the journey just got started!!

But now we have discussions about dethroning the dollar and CBDCs,
Nobody is dethroning anything here!

Let's factor in the fact that we are comparing two different things here, like say an orange 🍊  vs a tomato 🍅  these are running two different races!!!
So comparing bitcoin to fiat doesn't fit the profile as they are compliments to each other and not substitutes so expect these to coexist!

I am changing my mind about that, but I still find it fascinating that bitcoin is pumping in this economy right now. I am no means an expert in economics as you can clearly tell, would appreciate if anyone who had the knowledge could shed some light here. Always keen to learn. Thanks
Bitcoin doesn't have a direct bearing of what our economies do and will flourish even in tough times because it's relying on the basics of supply and demand and this case demand that has been growing as crypto keeps becoming popular world over!

United will play their first game of preparation next season against Leeds United in Oslo, perhaps this will be the first debut for Mount. United are reportedly ready to negotiation to pay £50M for Rasmus Hojlund striker from Atalanta. They wanted him as Rashford's companion. According to Sky German Man United are also interested in Ambarat, although there have been no more serious talks.

Sorry to say but when it comes to Manchester United transfers,  we have no reliable source to rely on...this includes British tabloids!!
You might ask why I say so, well whenever these guys give us the target men United is interested in, just know a rival club will 99.99% hijack such a move and Utd will have no player to celebrate about and this has happened several times!!

Btw, with De Gea gone, am still interested to know if the Cameroonian will be making his way to Utd with no number 1 to count on...any news on this Huh

What do you think Maguire future looks like? is it still worth being a Manchester United player even if it's only as a reserve player?
For me not worth keeping him!!

Too many errors made by this player that has costed the team several valuable points and this efthas happened  in several seasons and it's about time to export him to another team!!!
His days from Leicester looked promising but when he moved to Utd it was a whole different ball game unfortunately and it will make many fans if he left as keeping him will just fatten the wage bill.
1757  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My First Wallet. on: July 11, 2023, 03:56:00 PM
Just mainly due to curiosity — not saying that SafePal is bad or whatever(I have no idea because I never researched it), but how did you end up picking SafePal? Knowing that the Bitcoiner hardware wallet trio is Trezor-Ledger-ColdCard.
My thoughts too, when it comes to hardware wallets I believe only two names comes to mind for me.. which is Trezor and Ledger especially if one has to consider compatibility with other Blockchains.
And a Google search of bitcoin hardware wallets will also narrow it down to these two, which shows how popular and reliable they are.

After the unsuccessful and canceled purchase of trezor, you had to choose hardware wallet among the many other ([BIG LIST] Hardware wallets (80+)) that currently exist.
Thanks for the share...

Took a quick peep of what's available, wondering why the Secure Wallet isn't as popular as Trezor or Ledger wallets...I mean  the wallet has support for over a 1000 cryptocurrencies and nobody talks about them Huh Did these guys do something wrong..maybe lose someone's coins or something??
1758  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Google Drive Unlimited Storage (Lifetime License) on: July 11, 2023, 10:40:44 AM
Do you provide any warranty on account?
I can only provide a 2 mopnth warranty on the accounts since I am selling accounts under 1 admin and if someone abuses the account and gets it suspended the entire admin will be suspended. If your looking for a lifetime warranty then you will need to get your own admin account to avoid someone misusing the accounts.
Considering you have brought in potential scenarios of being suspened...

Do you have Dos and Don'ts when it comes to using these accounts for longevity.

I watched the Djokovic last 16 round today, that guy is an absolute machine. The other dude had a serve like a rocket but Djokovic always finds a way to win. He’s one of the most accomplished athletes I’ve ever witnessed. I can’t see anybody beating him.
He is back in form again and I can see him repeating result from last year Wimbledon when he was a champion after winning Nick Kyrgios in final.
Djokovic won all Wimbledon titles since 2018, and for this year I think Carlos Alcaraz could be his hardest rival for title.
Odds are not bad for him winning Wimbledon again.

Surprisingly nobody has talked about his age which means, age in this game just gives you the privilege of having the experience and just a number too,  but otherwise this lad means business when he is in the mood and so far so good as his still on the path to win another Smiley

As for the outright  winner who is to win the competition,  I think 1.5 odds for the joker suggests an easy game for him and not a true reflection of what's to come...honestly I don't like the price, if he gets to the finals am getting the handicap against him!

Btw, Carlos Alcaraz should be out there to get his revenge on Djokovic and am counting on it, let's go lads make this happen  Cool
1760  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Motivating gambling addicts to invest in bitcoins. on: July 11, 2023, 06:20:24 AM
Nowadays many people in our country are addicted to gambling. I have seen many people losing their huge amount in most of the gambling games. If all those people can be informed about bitcoin, how to earn money in bitcoin?
This is a cryptocurrency platform meaning people are very much aware of bitcoin, but trying to solve peoples gambling problems with telling them to redirect those Bitcoins to investments isn't practical as this just delays their gambling habits!

But if we ask ourselves, what makes people gambling addicts? I think it has to do with fast profits that come from gambling 🎰  which can't be gotten from anywhere else and investments don't fit their money making profile as these take forever to be realized! But then again if you think about it, the reason we have too many people gambling is because of the ever advancing technology, these portable devices we have and the ease to jump on these platforms without much restrictions makes it a recipe for disaster and minors too are gambling...which is why parents and guardians need to be proactive to see what their kids are doing.

I think they would have invested in Bitcoin and they could have made money from it.
I beg to differ, this is easier said than done...investments are not an easy undertaking...people can have problems along the way that needs an immediate address and they can cash out these investments to sort out such issues, or price volatility can make one to bailout and try something else as profits won't be seen immediately... tbh investments arent meant for everyone !
