1781  Other / Meta / Re: Chatbox here in forum on: May 04, 2018, 12:06:27 PM
Well, maybe a chatbox that only allowes the Heroes / legendaries and Full members to chat. MAYBE then it'd work. Or maybe there could be a Merit gate as in you require at least XX amounts of merit to be able to use the chat box. The Merit system is already weeding out the spammers that way the forum would get it's very own dedicated troll box.
I miss a proper troll box ever since btc-e went down.
1782  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: USD for INR on: May 04, 2018, 03:58:32 AM
This should not be in Crypto marketplace ... considering there is no crypto involved at any stage.
1783  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: Selling btc in cash in Ranchi Jharkhand on: May 04, 2018, 03:56:17 AM
I want to sell btc with cash in Ranchi.
Price will be set on discussion.
PM me if interested.

Not safe to do it. Especially considering you are a newbie. It's best if you sell online.
1784  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you deal with power outages in a developing country (like India)? on: May 02, 2018, 03:45:49 AM
....

I have given solar a thought but I am not sure how reliable it would be.
The majority of power problems arise during summer when there are storm clouds almost all the time. And it is primarily during these times when the power goes out.

On the other hand I do have a high speed dsl broadband.. but when the grid goes down, the server station also goes down with it, taking away the connectivity with it.
1785  Economy / Services / Re: [WTH] Create A Forum like Bitcointalk.org on: May 01, 2018, 10:02:57 AM
Hello Everyone,
I love to be the part of the great forum. I want someone to create a forum like this. Don't panic i will pay you whatever you ask for the development.

The Funds will be sent to an Escrow if you wish to.

The things i need.

-Full access to the Forum
- Already domain and SSL added to the site.
- Must be SMF software.

If you think you can do this,  hit me on Telegram  @Nelka4   Cool

Anyone (even I) can easily setup a SMF forum for you, if you want to make the next best thing then I suggest you first visit the alternate forums that already exist, try to follow what they got right that Bitcointalk got wrong.
Some of the top alternate places in my opinion :
Bitco.in
Cryptocurrencytalk.com
Cryptointalk.com

1786  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you deal with power outages in a developing country (like India)? on: May 01, 2018, 07:25:42 AM
I get power outages but not that often. I don't deal with it, all I can do is wait until it comes back on. But a generator will do the trick.

A generator is loud, and not that suitable for a residential area.
1787  Other / Meta / Re: It's no wonder we are infested with bounty and airdrop spammers on: May 01, 2018, 07:13:24 AM
Here is just one of the YouTube spamming tutorials.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQH7B5lWFSE

The suggested post is the usual rubbish that we need to eradicate, and the YouTube viewer replying doesn't even appear to be competent enough to work through the signup process.

I believe that we need a startup board, so that the mods can evaluate new members. Without that it will not be possible to control the flood of several thousand hopeful spammers every day.

We used to have one. Lovingly called the Newbie jail.
I suggested an alternative Merit Jail as well.
I think there should be more mods but that's my pov. I am pretty sure the forum can afford it. It's a matter of will and consensus.

theymos has previously released data about reporting, including a leaderboard of top reporters, but that was a long time ago and I haven't seen any recent numbers. It isn't possible to get any stats on that unless theymos makes it public.

He recently did that with the Politics & Society admin picking thread.
What if it could be a paid gig? Each time you report something that is legitimately BS, you get paid a small amout of btc. Kinda like a faucet.
But not everyone can do this, maybe a select group of people who are not biased against signature renting but do not have paid signature spots themselves.

Makes sense?

1789  Local / India / Re: How to convert BTC into FIAT after exchanges end relationship with the banks? on: May 01, 2018, 07:07:41 AM
I am not in favor of localbitcoin because of trust issues...

LBC is a VERY safe option.
So is Localethereum (yeah its a thing)

It is not easy to open a foreign bank account...

On the contrary, getting a foreign bank account is very easy, if you're willing to travel.
You cannot open a proper bank account offshore by sitting at home. (unless the trick mentioned in the article below actually works)
You can open a regular foreign bank account in Georgia very easily, the time taken to process your application can range from half a day (or less) to 2 days at max and you also get an international visa / mastercard debit card.

And there's this trick you can try out; that I read about couple of days ago - I mean after all the RBI fiasco started happening : https://www.sovereignman.com/finance/a-simple-shortcut-for-a-foreign-bank-account-1384

I haven't tried it out yet but I'll give it a shot.
1790  Local / India / Re: At last RBI ban on Crypto on: May 01, 2018, 06:47:59 AM

If this does happen, the exchanges can consider it to be a small victory. By the time the courts give their final verdict, the world would have moved on. But I am not convinced that interim relief is that common.

The world moving on from Bitcoin? Not going to happen.
An interim relief is not a victory at all, it is just an 'interim relief'. The deal with any economical movement in a country involves the legislation first and then a governing body is formed and then the action is taken. But here the thing is reversed in case of Bitcoin, we were always standing on pillars of sand with no legality defining our existence within the country. To terraform those pillars or sands into the shoulders of atlas we'll need to form a political body that can 'lobby' for us. Buy the gov. like multinational corps bought this BJP gov & put it to power.

Such a ban - if you can call it that, was necessary, we will now get our act together and take the right steps that we should have taken way back in 2011.
1791  Local / India / Re: RBI Bans Regulated Entities to deal with crypto on: May 01, 2018, 05:58:50 AM
I've read several articles saying you can't legally withdraw your cryptocurrencies to your banks or into INR, this is like a virtual ban on cryptos. I think this is really bad move if it's true, and it would promote illegal trading. This news is creating FUD into Indian market and cryptocurrencies are already down by 20-30%.

You know what I think? You're just spewing a shitpost to meet your minimum post count.
There are other posts already discussing the same thing, what purpose does your half assed post really serve? Since you are just parroting a common rhetoric.

And
withdraw your cryptocurrencies to your banks
Let me know when you find out which country on this planet does that.
1792  Local / India / Re: Roger Ver of Bitcoin.com Calls Bitxoxo Exchange the “Largest Indian Exchange” on: April 30, 2018, 04:40:20 PM
Bitcoin Cash promoters are hitting new lows everyday in their efforts to dethrone Bitcoin and replace Bitcoin by miner-backed Bitcoin Cash. Roger Ver recently tweeted promoting Bitxoxo, an unknown online bitcoin exchange while plauding their efforts to plan the launch of BCH marketplace, BCH e-university and BCH-POS terminal while promoting their ICO by calling them ‘Largest Indian Exchange.’

Full article Link
Roger Ver has been (supposedly) misleading newbies, making them believe that bitcoin cash is the real bitcoin
Discussion thread
Roger Ver and Bitcoin.com do a social attacks to Bitcoin
Discussion thread
Bitxoxo also includes his name in ads promoting their "ICO" as TOP ADVISOR
Well, I guess all this gives pretty much a good picture about Roger Ver and Bitxoxo.

Technically, if they are actually able to process bank withdrawals / deposits, then in the absence of the 3 giants of cryptos in India : Coinsecure / Unocoin / ZebPay, they may very well be the next big thing. But take that with a pinch of salt.

The stupid and most obvious thing is, the same RBI issues that plague the giants, should also be affecting these guys. Unless .. they switch to a pure crypto exchange like Binance.. which is unlikely because they are claiming to process IMPS on their site.

So remind me again, why are people calling this Ver guy an expert if he has no clue about what he's talking about?
1793  Local / India / Re: At last RBI ban on Crypto on: April 30, 2018, 04:28:37 PM
Rbi ban is on hodl as of now High court of delhi sent notices to rbi and finance ministry regarding Crypto trading

The Court has sent notices, but has not issued a stay order. There is a big difference between the two. If the courts do not give any interim relief, but continue hearing the case, the exchanges might as well forget about reopening.

Crypto from day one has been poised as a disruptor and for the first time in India at least, it is acting like it. They have finally stopped looking the other way and turn their heads towards crypto, but they fail to realize that they are almost a decade too late to make any real effect. If anything this will (and has) only cut back their revenue from taxes.

As far as stay order is concerned, petitions have already been filed and you can expect an interim stay order would be affected on the first day of the hearing or at least within the first month of the hearing start date. As far as I know that is the common procedure in such instances, look at the Aadhaar case for instance.

Didn't notice this before. But signed. Also glad to see you still around and kickin'.
1794  Other / Off-topic / How do you deal with power outages in a developing country (like India)? on: April 30, 2018, 04:14:37 PM
When I started out with my tech adventure about two decades ago I thought I had this shit under control. Back then there were no UPS's so my father hooked me up with an inverter and a car battery, mind you this was back in 1998-ish so this was expensive here in India to acquire an inverter.
Ever since then I've had some form of power backup or the other, if not for everything then at the least my computers. Hey! It's my bread & butter.
But since the last one and a half year, my luck has been sucked dry like the juices of all my UPS' batteries.

And no, UPS is not United Postal Service.

In just the last one month I have lost more projects here than I'd like to admit. I take one project, boom storm hits, and I'm out for about 3 days up to a week sometimes.. I come back, salvage my rep and go for another project and some weird shit happens and I'm taken out again.
I have two UPS backup systems but they do not protect me for more than 30 minutes. The most stupid thing is once my power goes, so does my internet connectivity, as my broadband is connected through an externally powered modem. The cellular data is very poor in my area, I'd be lucky to see a single whatsapp text message get sent in 5 hours!

So are there any suggestions out there? Have any of you got any suggestions on how do I deal with this relentless streak of load sheddings?

PS: I can't leave the area / city / country, so do not tell me to do that.

1796  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists hate Religion ? on: April 27, 2018, 10:48:59 AM
I do not hate all religions, in a religion has its own teachings, and every religion has different beliefs and rules so atheists themselves have rules that justify every mistake in the right, and there are some unfair facts and teachings in deciding a problem, for that we have seen and heard the degree of women in the lower levels in comparison with men's degree and why should be treated like that.

Stop tailing my topics with all your shit posts.
1797  Other / Off-topic / Re: Flat Earthers - What to do with them? on: April 27, 2018, 10:47:33 AM
Yes the earth is flat they express like that but the current problem is their own, and also the problem is the existence of cyberspace that is currently experiencing drastic improvement worldwide and growing very fast, so why we do not take positive steps under them there is no step that justifies them, and people can easily believe without seeing the facts and facts that exist.

This is the quintessential example of spreading fud from an individual who is mentally dud.
Banning exchanges does not equate to banning cryptos. There is NO way to ban cryptos.

In India we have banned books, movies and dresses just because they offend our retarded mentality. Its nothing new and such things cannot stop the widespread adoption of cryptos in India.

If anything, even people who didn't know what it was, would now come to know about it.

On the hindsight, if I were to write a parodical sketch about the issue, I'd interpret what they're saying as;
"Crypto bad, you get rich, we get no tax, so we no allow you crypto. But we make our pavitra crypto, buy our crypto, you stay poor, pay us tax, we get rich"

1800  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] IOS - Signature & Avatar Campaign | Up to $150/week in BTC & Tokens! on: April 25, 2018, 09:02:52 PM
The mempool is getting clustered again and btc transaction fees have upped once more. I have had a transaction on Coinomi still pending since morning till now. I thought this issue had been sorted out in thr past with the miners. Could that also be the case here?

I did a transaction last day, went through in hardly 30minutes on high priority. Even then, the majority payment here is in IOST.
Whatever the problem is, MadZ being too busy and not available for discussion is making the participants somewhat nervy; I guess...

You mean that the IOST in binance is same with the IOST payed to us? I just want to know how I can transfered the amount I have in binance? because I cannot see any ways to withdraw this amount. Your right IOST now are growing so fast so I planned to convert it, can you please teach me how to transfer or withdraw this amount.

I am a somewhat of a regular trader on Binance so I had traded some IOST on Binance before. So I recognized it from just the name. So to answer your query, yes, the token being paid here is directly tradeable on many exchanges including Binance. But don't go dumping your earned coins. Hold it, this will sound like a broken record but IOST will boom a lot more before it starts to dip.
