181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Chainlink is a shitcoin and will dump to zero on: October 17, 2020, 11:55:03 PM
chainlink is not shitcoin! LINK ROI is more than 7000%, and touched at $ 18,
with a total supply of only 1,000,000,000 LINK and the price can go up like that,
of course that's great performance, indeed if you buy it at a high price it will be risky, but remember LINK is not shitcoin!
Getting a 7000% return does not mean that the coin will not go down, there were several coins in the past that gave every investor a huge profit and then went down the drains and never recovered, so we cannot have a benchmark on the return of investment at a particular time and that being said i am not expecting the valuation to go down to zero either.
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust USDT? on: October 15, 2020, 08:47:21 PM
USDT is a stableccoin and shouldn't be trusted by community forum members who see this coin as a good type. This coin has been in the dark with so many question about the rightful owners of this technology because it's peg name with the United States fiat currency. Don't put all your savings into investing in this technology, because it might disappoint it holders when the appropriate time come for the US  to act.
If all the USDT in circulation are pegged with US dollars or any other asset then i would not be worried but the problem here is that the team is not always transparent with their collateral and at one point they said they have pegged fiat currency equivalent to the coins in circulation but when they were taken to the court they said there are other assets pegged as well and hence transparency is the biggest issue i have.
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trying to invest in Binance on: October 15, 2020, 01:43:15 AM
I am thinking about SXP, ADX, Tezos, Atom, Algo, Harmony, Qtum, Komodo, Neo, and Elrond to be on my investment list, but I know that I can not buy all of that coin at once. I can buy it every month of each list with the money that I am willing to use for the investment.
I am surprised to see that you mentioned Qtum, Komodo, Neo to invest. I would stay away from them as they failed to deliver on the promise and the developers mostly ignore them, if there is a sudden change which i am not aware of as i stopped following them a long time ago.

Diversifying is a good prospect but you need to identify tokens and coins that would give you the maximum profit.
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What You Think About UNI coin Is It good to Hold It For Longterm perspective on: October 14, 2020, 08:36:58 PM
I witnessed how the ICO market was trending just like the DeFi market and everyone who invested during the early stages made a ton of money and basically it was a pump and dump process and i am expecting the same with majority of the projects and with all the drama i have seen in this market i will not trust to hold these alts for the long term.
185  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When You trade Do You use VPN? on: October 14, 2020, 08:23:00 PM
VPN won't help you much trust me, if the security agencies of your nation wanna find you; VPNs can't do much.

I sincerely think that running a dedicated tor node for the purpose will be better than spending money on VPNs.
The problem with the TOR network is you need to have more users using the network if not any government or agency monitoring the network can pin point you. In fact VPN is much safer in that aspect and if you are too scared about it you can use both TOR and VPN in tandem which will give you a much higher privacy.

While trading it depends upon the exchange i decide on using TOR or VPN.
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH still going higher as our anticipatiion on: October 13, 2020, 11:33:09 PM
For entry waiting people, they can pick any price that they want. We're still under the high price of Ethereum that's speculative and it's encouraging to buy for long term decisions.
The second wave of ETH started recently after the DeFi hype and there were huge investments coming in and i am not sure how long this will last, we already saw a major correction in the DeFi market. When ETH started they had the hype that you could send the coins with much lower fees and we know the situation and whether the much hyped upgrade will sort the issue is a big question and if that did not sort the issue then the investors will rethink about the viability of the coin.
187  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC - What next? on: October 13, 2020, 10:58:47 PM
It seems to me that the second wave of COVID will not affect the economy as it was the first time, because then no one was waiting for it, and now everyone knows about it! So I wouldn't expect a strong price decline...
The hype about the pandemic was really huge and the shutdown was real but i did not see the same impact in the stock market if you take into account the entire market was shut including manufacturing units for a while and i am yet to understand how the market was able to hold firm for a long time even though there were some corrections every now and then, so if a second and third wave hits you need to see whether the markets could hold further.
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ChainLink - Sell or Hold for some more time? on: October 13, 2020, 09:35:07 PM
Everyone will be having a varied opinion regarding holding and selling off coins, the best option for you is to monitor the growth and if you are able to create a bot to monitor the price and volume round the clock then you will have an idea when you should sell the coins. If i am holding a coin i will be doing these and since i am aware that the market is due to rally as per my past experience i will hold further.
189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH still going higher as our anticipatiion on: October 11, 2020, 11:58:58 PM
I'm not one to hype things up but there is a lot of potential for ETH to reach $1k+ in the next 1 to 2 years and then go on to break its ATH.
With the current hype it is possible that it could reach those valuation but the gas fees are really high that could sway the causal investors away from it and as long as the hype is making them money they will be using it. The developers have missed the date for the upgrade many times and we do not have a date when they will implement the Phase 0 .
190  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any truly safe bets in sports betting? on: October 10, 2020, 11:56:52 PM
In sports betting if you don't want to lose you need to have a deep knowledge how does it comes if you are confident to your team or not. Wage or doubt it's all of your choice better make sure to earn or to play safe.
Having a deep understanding of the sport is necessary but gambling is a bit tricky as you need to follow everything about them including any injuries they are having coming into a game and if it is a team sport what team they are using and their injury situation and so on. We have seen many upsets in the past one month in different sports and no one could predicted looking at the squad that they would loose but there were many upsets and hence anything is possible and there is no safe bet in sports.
191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are people giving up on Bitcoin too quickly? on: October 09, 2020, 10:57:42 PM
The population is increasing as you rightly said. I have seen many blogs and people talking and writing about bitcoin. I believe in no time in the future we are going to see bitcoin bull because of this new investors getting to know about bitcoin and blockchain technology.
If you are really expecting a bull run then you need to attract big fund houses that could invest billions into the market and with bitcoin being a strong performer in the financial sector for the past several years all the big fund houses and investors are aware of the market and these big investors determine the bull run Wink.
192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 12 years and no country has approved Bitcoin ?? on: October 09, 2020, 08:53:10 PM
:)Bitcoin was launched in 2007. It's 12 years and still no country has approved Bitcoin ??   Huh

and in 2018, 2nd richest man "Warren Buffet" said "bitcoin will end up badly" Smiley
The launch date is a blunder and you are quoting an old man who made his money hedging funds and what are you expecting in a decentralized currency, each and every government approving a decentralized currency. It is your choice whether you wanted to invest in it or not and if you are not interested in the market you can leave it alone. The technical aspects is well documented and if there is any asset that gave its investors the profit in the last 10 years it is bitcoin and nothing else.
193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs. Conor McGregor on: October 07, 2020, 03:59:23 PM
~
I bet yes, a match is needed not only for an intentions to determine who is the best boxer among Pacquiao and McGregor but i bet for a satisfaction of a gambler who used to put their money as a bet who among them would be win. For me it sounds uneasy knowing there are people behind the battle of the two boxer looking forward for their investment to become double or tripple whenever their bet wins but it is also a chance for a boxer to earned also a money not for themselves but for their family also. Both will become the benificiary of this game.
There are many fans of Conor McGregor but he is getting into trouble all the time and that could affect his fan base. The main reason for anyone to put these fight together is to make money and the Floyd Mayweather was a perfect situation as he was on top of the MMA world but now he is not having any belt around his waist and Manny Pacquiao is a highly skilled boxer and anyone who follows boxing knows that it will be an easy fight for him.
They need fans in the stadium to make the most out of it but i am not expecting any huge PPV sales with this fight like the Mayweather one.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will $XRP be safe for long term? on: October 06, 2020, 05:24:28 PM
this isn't having much upwards impact on the current price, it does bode well for the longer-term future of the project.
If you look at the social media regarding the long time valuation you would see many accounts shilling for ripple and all the social media analyst are bullish on the price when the market rallies, it is not a bad idea to invest a couple of hundred dollars in it and see how big the market would go when the market turns bullish.
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi - The Scam Engine? on: October 06, 2020, 04:28:54 PM
I think it’s another excuse for collecting funding again. Just like previously known ICO, then come to IEO, and right now, it's DeFi. It's basically a cycle. I wouldn't be surprised if something like CBDC’s would be in front of digital currencies.
It is a cycle for sure, the timing of ICO was coinciding with the rally last time around and the DeFi introduction exactly during that stage when the price of bitcoin is expected to rally pulling the entire market along with it. It is a cycle and make sure everyone deal with these carefully. I burned my hands with ICO and i will not be doing the same with DeFi as i will be careful and will cash out the coins without holding too much.
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about Sushiswap ? on: October 05, 2020, 11:06:42 PM
This project was a scam but now it has chances they were bought by another biggest company!
The owner ran away with the money and then came back and apologized because he knew he left trail that could reach him and even though they are brought by another company the reputation that is tarnished cannot be retained and it would have being great if they could create a new project rather than keeping this name if they really wanted to succeed. Not a big fan of these projects because i am yet to fully understand every technical aspects.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH still going higher as our anticipatiion on: October 04, 2020, 09:10:58 PM
We are waiting for the ETH 2.0 and hoping for some issues to be address on the update especially the recent spike on the transaction fees. ETH is the best atlcoin but it will always go down and up, just like the other coins and bitcoin.
It is a really long wait to see the upgrade and whether it will address everything is to be seen, do you identity a coins being best because of their price valuation and if that is the case there are several coins you can add in that category and ETH is certainly one of the top volatile coin.

The DeFi has given ETH another reason for a rally and i hope we will see a rally when the entire market starts rising and if you are smart enough you can make money than any other financial investment.
198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs. Conor McGregor on: October 04, 2020, 03:36:54 PM
Everyone has the right to challenge Manny Pacquiao, it's just that McGregor is a very lucky person because Pacquiao can accept the challenge and I believe this will be a very exciting and full of drama, at least the challenger still has the potential to beat the world champion, this is an opportunity. good for proving who is the best boxer in the world.
Do we really need a fight to determine who the best boxer in the world and that too against McGregor, he had a phenomenal rise in the MMA scene and that rise is taken a beating against Khabib after all the trash talk and gassing out against Mayweather but to think that he can challenge any top boxers in the world is just foolish and if the fight is put together it is going to be an easy pay day for Manny Pacquiao.
199  Economy / Economics / Re: Brazil largest investment bank just created a 100% cryptocurrency backed fund on: October 03, 2020, 10:35:17 PM
This fund is not available for small investors, only corporative investors or very rich people.
Now rich people and corporate funds are going to be able to buy bitcoin easier in brazil.
Does that mean that the bank is giving out loans for people who are having high credits, if that is the case it will be a risky proposition as the cryptocurrency market is really volatile and we might see people suffering big loss when the market goes down after a big rally, will see how this will go and whether it will boost anything.
200  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin dont pay our billls we need passive income on: October 03, 2020, 09:20:07 PM
The government cannot spend all the budget for this year alone, as there is no certainty when the pandemic will end. And as far as I know bitcoin is one of the best way to pay our bills, on selected paying sites.
The government cal allocate the funds so that the people who lost their jobs can be compensated until the pandemic is over, bitcoin is a tool to pay the bills just like the Euro or Dollar and if you have those as an asset why would anyone wait for the government to compensate. For all the newbies bitcoin is not a magic money that can reproduce itself, you need to have a job or an income and it is always a passive income if you are skilled enough to invest or earn it.
