181  Economy / Economics / Re: The only thing goes up is debts! It’s inevitable! on: October 09, 2020, 02:32:37 AM
Most developing countries are currently struggling due to the recession and the pandemic, that is why they have huge amount of debts because they need funds to support the financial assistance of their citizens, and support the needs of every hospitals that has COVID-19 patients.

And everything became worse due to mishandling of funds Roll Eyes. Like what's happening in our country kabayan, our government still pursue to renovate Manila Bay despite of the pandemic. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against the current administration and also not against such improvement. It is just that doing it is not on a proper timing. Imagine what a P349M can do to aid the infected people or used for buying PPEs and medical equipments tsk.

@Broly46 ~ I know this is your thread thus can do whatever you wanted but I think much better if you compiled your replies instead of making consecutive posts. That is a more proper way of posting. No offense meant dude.
182  Other / Off-topic / Re: [PSA]: FBI gives warning about using WIFI in Hotels on: October 08, 2020, 01:50:45 PM
Yes, it may be free or cheap but is it worth risking your privacy or sensitive data in your device?
Some people are taking advantage of open hotspots then what more for an open wifi lol. Thus, I bet a simple man won't come up thinking such possibilities. Why? Not only because of some being less computer literate (particularly the poor/old ones) but mainly because they are already overpoered by their own personal desire. They tend to ignore it because they are already blinded by the word "Free". However, we can't blame them either because free things are really appealing Cheesy. So as an awared persoon, maybe the least we can do is to give them a warning and let them decide.
183  Economy / Economics / Re: The only thing goes up is debts! It’s inevitable! on: October 08, 2020, 07:27:37 AM
Debt goes up
If we are talking about nations as a whole then it was true. Well, that's understandable because most of the countries are now struggling against covid. The longer we fight the virus, the larger the debt might be.

But terms of personal life, I can say no. Not everyone has a debt or a rising debt because some people able to find ways to make a living amidst the pandemic and also become wiser in handling their money.
Misogynist skyrocket due to lock down, (prove me wrong otherwise)
I don't know where you reside and what culture do you have on your country but this one is most probably an isolated case only. You can't state that it was a clear fact. I don't see strong relevance between lock downs and being a female Grin.
184  Other / Meta / Re: If you received a merit... on: October 08, 2020, 02:08:55 AM
It does it mean...
  • You give helpful feedback
  • You give a good content
  • You posted informative thread
  • I like the information
  • It gives me idea and curiosity
  • I see that you are improving
Nice, this list is more inspiring Cheesy. But I also get what OP is pointing about. So whatever reason might be, whether the sender's hand slipped and merit the wrong member or not, as a receiver you must react properly. Learn to enjoy simple treats but don't appreciate it too much because it might lead you to wrong conclusions.

Also, know the difference of being joyful and boastful, receiving merits (especially from well known members) here doesn't give us the right to brag ourselves. Always choose to stay humble and kind.
185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin and taxes buying goods and items with btc tax free on: October 07, 2020, 11:45:18 PM
Here in our country, where even online sellers are planned to pay taxes as well lmao, bitcoin investors like us are still safe Cheesy. There is no strict law/rule (at least for now) imposed by the government with regards to regulation of bitcoin and any other crypto. Thus we are moving freely and take advantage of it until now. In my 3 years of experience, I haven't spend a single cent on paying taxes and I hope the same system will continue forever.

Ps: I did not consider VAT on every goods/services because I think it was a different story.

188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting: how much knowledge is too much on: October 06, 2020, 12:03:02 PM
If a person is betting on a soccer match and reads about every match of every person on every team, plus weather forecast, plus research on home advantage etc., the amount of information can be overwhelming and probably not that important or useful to bet on the outcome a particular match.

Exactly! Why would you include unimportant info in your considerations in the first place? That would really make you more confused lol. Like on this quote, why would you like to know about weather? Is it really vital in betting? For me, I don't think so. Yeah! It is somehow relevant on playing soccer but every player can play whether it is rainy, hot or cold outside, isn't it? So what's the point of knowing it Cheesy. Unless you found out that a the stats of certain player plummet every time it rains due to slippery grass. That's the time you can say it significant.
189  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ask me how , How Scam tatics on: October 06, 2020, 07:14:05 AM
That was very usual. Actually such modus was a no brainer so I wonder  why many investors are still getting scammed. Because if you will realize, your personal info is vital so why would you easily give it to people you only met online? It doesn't makes sense for me. Everyone should able to think of it despite of any status you have, whether you are a beginner or not your gut feel could tell if there is something wrong happening or not.

But I guess you're right. Like what you've said, I guess the main reason for all of it is desperation. People tend to forget the simple logics after hearing flowery words from the scammers. I hope all of us learn that not everything that smells good tastes good as well Undecided.
190  Other / Meta / Re: If you see a copy-paste topic from newsletters on: October 06, 2020, 04:34:59 AM
If you see a post looks lengthy and have good information but at end of it, poster leaves a source to a newsletter article, will you send merit to a poster?
Definitely not, not because he did a trash post or whatsoever but because what he did is not merit worthy. I mean, we can considered it as a copy-paste at the end of the day. The source at the bottom of it only saves him to face consequences base on the rules of this forum. Such posts are helpful but not outstanding as well, it was neutral IMO Smiley

With regards to those who give merits on such kind of posts, it is not our business anymore. Each one of us have different criteria. It's their own choice so all we can do is to respect it. Maybe they just really appreciated the content that's why they gave one.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Think before joining any campaign on: October 05, 2020, 02:58:33 PM
From my experience, I would only recommend bounties which have a duration of 4 weeks or less. If a bounty campaign stretches for 6 months or so, that means that they don't think that they will be able to attract the interest from the investors easily.
Good point Smiley. Besides, the longer it takes, the more time and effort you are risking. Everything works the same with money but take note that these things, especially time, are far more valuable from it so spend it wisely. Feel it if you can really afford to lose such amount of time for a token that has still no guarantee of giving you profits.

At the end of the day, quality still beats quantity. If a particular project is really "promising" or good to be at least then promoting it for a very long time is no longer necessary because its concept can already attract investors in no time.
192  Economy / Economics / Re: Money printing and inflation explained on: October 05, 2020, 10:24:54 AM
Your explanation makes it all so clear now.
I love the sarcasm lol Cheesy.

Venezuela Zimbabwe... Those Kind of currencies are Good examples what happens When You Don't destroy the Money.
As far as I know, they really don't have any intentions of destroying a certain amount of old money as the new ones are entering the circulation. Their main goal is to increase the supply of their money so that every citizen of their country could easily have one thus have more purchasing power. However, things don't work out well. They thought printing more money would resolve the problem but it's not. It served as a sort of temporary solution but the drawbacks hits harder in the long run.
193  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitcointalk Forum posts ? on: October 05, 2020, 05:23:43 AM
Seems you don't need a guidance anymore, you already know how to put signature. It was a huge step on your main agenda Roll Eyes. I don't want to sugarcoat anything, I will tell you frankly that you will absolutely have a hard time to join a campaign because of merit system, unless you are highly intellectual in this field. So good luck.

No offense but I really want to discourage you to focus on earning here so early because that was not the essence of this forum. You should focus on learning and set such things as a sideline.

Ps: sorry if I sounds mean.

194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good Morning from a Non-Bitcoiner on: October 05, 2020, 12:59:45 AM
For sure in back of his mind interest already flowing.

It's all about how you can take your advantages and how well you will interpret the actions inside this market, most of those people who are not aware yet from this chain do think the same, but somehow when they start gaining information interest start to show up. It's a matter of time and good decision making before they'll start to participate.
That's great! I'm glad that at least there's a spark existing. It is the source of every passion in our hearts.

On the other hand, you're right. It really takes time for a person to like the things unfamiliar to him especially knowing that crypto is so technical and a little bit complicated. Even me, I am also not interested to it before but the moment my friend told me that I can earn good profits from it then I tried it all of a sudden haha. I wish you could expose him more and be his mentor soon. That would be a wonderful feeling for sure Smiley.
195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Mark Magsayo vs Rigoberto Hermosillo on Oct 3 on: October 04, 2020, 09:41:23 AM
That's almost a huge upset by the underdog here, Magsayo looks gas out while Hermosillo can take his punches, even power punches.
Indeed, quite close on the side of Magsayo. I actually don't know what's wrong with the fight. Is it Magsayo not well conditioned, you know, he don't have a match for a very long time thus lose momentum; or is it just that Hermosillo had a great caliber and was just underrated? Hmm Huh. But whatever the reason is, this was a clear poor performance. I hope this will serve an inspiration for him to grind more because he can't be a champion if he just settle there.
196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good Morning from a Non-Bitcoiner on: October 04, 2020, 04:47:24 AM
For me, the message has good point but not totally true in all aspects. Yeah gold is costly but that's not bad since it is really valuable, banks could be a reliable place to store your money, properties are assets at the end of the day etc. You know, it was a sort of slogan that highlights crypto so what would you expect Cheesy.

Anyway, may I ask if your friend still not showing signs of interest to bitcoin? Because I really find it ironic to see a person sharing stuff about something but it was not his interest lol. I hope you can encourage him to do the stuffs you are doing.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is monero a good buy because of the application? on: October 03, 2020, 12:37:12 PM
If you are having a plan to dive in the deep web and purchase different stuff/services there then that would be a best choice (no offense meant). Monero is now gaining lot of attention and slowly getting more prefered on such places. Nonetheless, I am not saying that would be a bad pick for investment. It was actually good since it belongs on the list of top tier coins in the market. So go ahead if you want, just don't forget ro handle your assets with care Smiley.
198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 03, 2020, 01:25:36 AM
[snip]
Remember how coach Kerr become successful sharing he's talent with players who have the same types of his game, I'm interested how he'll be able to coach Kyrie and KD both are offensive but if Nash able to turned both stars to pass out and rotates the ball, that's really an interesting factors.
Oh yes! I forgot to set that one as an example lol. I am also excited to see how Steve will handle their two superstars. Maybe he will used to them what strategy he had with Stoudemire back on their days (though Durant is not a legit center). Who knows Cheesy? But one thing is for sure, Irving will learn a lot from him especially that he became a PG as well. I hope he can teach him how to pass more instead of always pushing through the basket.
199  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 02, 2020, 10:51:44 AM
No disrespect to Steve Nash, but there are still good black coaches on the line and yet they hire those without experience.
Coz why not? I don't see anything wrong of picking Steve Nash. And on the other note, even though he got no experience with coaching that's okay because he's already considered a veteran in playing. That could be his edge in his new career. Thus, I do believe that the management did a wise choice on picking him. He will be a good coach because he doesn't only understand the technicalities of the game but also all the drama inside the hard court since it takes part of his life for quite a long time Smiley.
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie's guide to avoid ICO Scam on: October 02, 2020, 07:06:58 AM
Okay, that's great criteria to have a clue whether the token you are investing with is a future scam or not. But take note, these can be your guidelines when you are about to join them but what would you do if things don't go well in the middle? What if they said to you that "I'm sorry we didn't hit the hard cap." or "Oops there is a technical error on our codes." Etc. How can you cope with those alibis?

As far as I'm concern, you can't do anything about it but to pray on God that team only encountered a problem and don't have an intention of scamming at all Grin. Therefore, I am not advising everyone (especially the newbies) to become an avid fan of ICOs because the risks are greater than the potential profits. Realtalk.
