182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's Next for Bitcoin Enthusiast on: April 21, 2024, 01:39:15 PM
Over the past year or so, we've been discussing and anticipating the Bitcoin Halving. We heard that after the Bitcoin halving comes the bull run. We've learned different strategies to accumulate Bitcoin in preparation for this event. As humans, we easily get bored if there is no goal in sight or task ahead of us. The Bitcoin halving was the goal in sight that motivated many Bitcoiners to accumulate Bitcoin. Now that the event has technically come and gone, what is the next big thing that we should look forward to? What are the next collective goals or tasks ahead of us to stay motivated?

After Bitcoin halving the bull run does come but it takes time its own time and its month or year. We cannot predict it just because the haLving event is over as there are multiple factors associated with the bull run. You are too dependent on the halving event whereas you forgot that in 2024 Bitcoin price is not more dependent on halving it is now getting affected with Bitcoin ETF. For me, Bitcoin price has now become an unstoppable event and anytime we could see the price breaking the previous ATH.
183  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: are there any de-centralized crypto exchanges out there ? on: April 21, 2024, 12:49:16 PM
It depends on your definition of decentralized exchanges. If you mean those that just run on smart contracts based on different networks such as Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Solana, Base etc. then they are very many. Pick what suites you.

Personally, i don't consider them as decentralized exchanges.

Like bitcoin is decentralized, same concept. but on exchange of btc / usdt, usd, eur ....
with spot trading, order-book, makers and takers .. and  API , WS ..

Try Bisq which operates as a P2P exchange and is somewhat decentralized as it uses the Bitcoin network. You would need to download its application which is only available for desktops and laptops. It is slow as it uses TOR to resist censorship which is a plus point if you are privacy focused. That being said you might encounter some issues while running the application and all you need to do is to restart the application every time you encounter a stall. You can find more details about the exchange like API, etc: https://docs.bisq.network/index.html
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what do we think of LMEOW token? on: April 21, 2024, 12:34:04 PM
If the owner is not interested in promoting or listing the meme coin then why bother to put your head into it? Meme coins are only driven by the community and to form a community the owners or the owner need to market the coin in a way that they get investors organically. I think it is better to stay away from a meme coin when the owner does not want to do anything and still feels that the community will grow. I simply do not understand why everyone is going crazy with meme coins that do not have any utility or purpose. This shows how much the current market is based on investors who want to find a quick way to get higher returns.
185  Other / Meta / Re: Introducing scammers to the forum. on: April 21, 2024, 12:20:45 PM
I have been thinking about how I've been reading a lot of topics from scammers who give themselves away easily by saying they recover bitcoins and I've been wondering how are these scammers finding about Bitcointalk when some regular people have not yet discovered this forum on their own.

They are doing what they are good at and I am sure many newbies will fall for such a recovery thread. We all are aware of multiple scams as we have been active here and have been reading them. That does not work with anyone new to the crypto and new to Bitcointalk. The only way we can reduce such scams is to report those threads to the mods.

I know some scammers are intelligent people who read a lot and can discover this forum from their research while trying to gather information, but it is possible that some of the people we are referring to the forum are scammers, and we now also have to be careful of the people we refer to Bitcointalk.

I agree but I also feel that some of those users are alt-account holders who have disguised themselves. The only way to counter these guys as I have already told is to report any threads that you feel are offering unrealistic services.

186  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mempool Observer Topic on: April 21, 2024, 12:03:14 PM

Still 150 sats is way too high to be doing normal transactions comfortably (i.e. you are not a hedge fund or exchange doing transactions of 0.1BTC). I regret not doing an atomic swap for Lightning Network sats while I had the chance.

A few days back they were hovering around 45 sats to 60 sats which seems way high as in USD they were coming around $4 to $5 approximately. At the moment 215,077 TXs are unconfirmed which is not a good sign. Bitcoin network cannot handle such congestion and the worst part is that it started just after the halving. A small amount of transaction cannot be made even if the fee goes down to 150 sats as in USD it will be valued around $19 to $ 20 approximately. It is not a good sign and I think as in the past when the transaction fee went down it will again which will take time.
187  Local / India / Raj Kundra-Shilpa Shetty in Bitcoin Ponzi Scheme Scam on: April 21, 2024, 11:47:15 AM
Raj Kundra we all know who he is and what he has been up to for quite a few decades now. This famous businessman is now part of an INR 6600cr Bitcoin Ponzi Scam, you can find out the reason in Hindi audio with English PowerPoint slides here. The main point of the scam is that the promoters of a fraudulent Bitcoin Ponzi MLM scheme paid him BTC285. The payment was made to set up a Bitcoin mining facility in Ukraine. I am eager to meet him as I know that he is not even a graduate. I want to know how he convinced the promoters to give him such a large sum of Bitcoin, or what led the promoters to believe that this person was qualified enough to set up a mining rig.

189  Local / India / Re: Breaking: Bitcoin Halving Event [2024] is over! on: April 20, 2024, 01:44:24 PM
^ Another year of Bitcoin Halving and another year of expectations. I did expected that the market will rally but expectations vs reality is real. I don't think that we will encounter another bull run this year. I may be wrong but I am definitely sure we will see a bull run next year.

I was partying yesterday while enjoying the IPL. I almost forgot today that the halving event is now completed, after noticing this topic. The next halving is going to happen in 2028. Let's keep our finger crossed for another big bull run.

191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🔥 BC.GAME IPL 2024 Participant’s Exclusive Discussion Thread on: April 19, 2024, 06:31:46 PM
While I was watching yesterday's game between MI VS PBKS, I came across a unique similarity between SKY and Ashutosh Sharma. I am not sure if anyone here would have noticed. The way Ashutosh Sharma batted with his unique shorts, it seems this guy has been working hard to follow the same batting patter. For my understanding this guy can be a game changer of PBKS.

Ashutosh Sharma gave all his life on every matches he played, he won two matches and brought two matches very close to the win from no win situations on all the instances but PBKS top order didn't even contribute a little that would made a huge difference.

PBKS is effectively playing with two batters, Shashank and Ashutosh and if that's case they won't be winning against a team.

About the batting style, he is not having similar style but has same ability and what I noticed is Sky need foot work while Ashutosh can just sweep with his wrist alone. No matter what he already turned out to be a star.

Yeah! I agree on one factor that PBKS are limited to a few batters and these two young lads are making the difference. While watching the match I felt Ashutosh does copy SKY, look at his hook shot towards the leg side, then look at the way he hits six on the off side. There are multiple similarities which he might have worked on in these years.

193  Local / India / Re: Saving your seed phrase on: April 19, 2024, 02:02:44 PM
It is crucial to know how to safeguard your seed phrases, regardless of how you choose to save them. Ultimately, it is your responsibility to ensure that your seed phrase is protected from natural disasters and other potential threats. I have seen some strange methods of saving seed phrases that may not adequately protect your account in the event of a compromise or if your chosen storage service experiences issues.

In today's world, AI dominates much of our online experiences, making it difficult to keep up with everything. In such circumstances, it is wise to follow @Bureau's advice and focus on your ability to protect your seed phrase rather than relying on external entities. There are many ways to address potential issues, but it is ultimately up to the owner to take responsibility for securing their funds.

If you rely on a third party, holding them accountable is impossible if something goes wrong. For example, I have seen the Ledger wallet being compromised because the owner did not keep up with the latest developments in the cryptocurrency market.
194  Local / India / Re: Binance Exchange is coming back to India. on: April 19, 2024, 01:23:45 PM
I never thought that they would resort to such a level, but I guess they needed the money. What about the common P2P scams involving the Binance Exchange in India? Will those who are experiencing frozen bank accounts receive any help? I doubt that anything will be done about it, and the government is more concerned with people like us. I am convinced that the situation will change in the future. If anyone thinks otherwise, feel free to reply. But before that, let's not forget that we are moving towards centralization, which goes against the very concept of Bitcoin.

196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Less than 24 hours to Bitcoin halving and my Birthday! on: April 18, 2024, 01:17:05 PM
Another halving event but this time a speculation of WW3 is surrounding. I am not that confident that after the halving event we will see green in the market. What I feel is that the situation have changed and we might see Bitcon taking a deep dive in the red zone. What I am confident is that a country like Israel will not stop. If that country attacks then there will be a global energy crisis and that situation would let to a big catastrophic across the world. I don't think that Bitcoin would be to counter the situation as in the past with COVID 19.

At that time everyone was trying to save themselves from the virus and also from their economic downfall as the fiat market was going down. In the current situation they will not have time to do it as the inflation and pay parity index will be overwhelming. I don't thing that the upcoming 2024 will be good for us or for Bitcoin.
197  Local / India / Re: India plans faster stock settlements to slow down crypto migration on: April 18, 2024, 12:34:07 PM
It's a wrong way of looking at it! India is not moving towards faster stock settlement to slow down crypto migration.

According to SEBI chairperson Bush, it is and the improvements are made with the intention of competing against crypto trades or atleast that's what see says in that video 1:30

I don't see stock market is affected in any way due to the crypto traders but that surprises me when government authorities think in that way, but the upgrade is welcomed for sure.

The article is from a cryptocurrency perspective and it does not hold any weight if you check the background of the publishing house. She might have compared based on how far the Indian stock market is left behind when the whole world is admiring instant payment through UPI and the cryptocurrency industry has been thriving due to instant payment.

This is propaganda as I am certain you would have skipped watching the complete video since you are blindly following the article, with your replies. I have not watched the video but if possible can you decode the complete interview?
198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🔥 BC.GAME IPL 2024 Participant’s Exclusive Discussion Thread on: April 18, 2024, 11:32:13 AM
I was not expecting GT to get only 89 runs yesterday. The pitch was so not meant for batting and it was very good for spinners. Rishab Panth was outstanding behind the wickets although there was one stumping that seems to be controversial. After seeing highest run by a team in IPL 2024 yesterday it was lowest total for a team. I don't think it is a come back for DC and I feel they are far away making a comeback this year.

What do you guys think @JSRAW, @libert19,  @Sithara007 a @Bitcoin Smith,  @Out of mind and @LDL

200  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Important: Do your research which devs are building a coin on: April 17, 2024, 02:32:19 PM
Yearn Finance was once in the news, but it seems to have lost its relevance now. BNB is a coin created by Binance Exchange, and we all know who owns Binance Exchange. Justin Sun is the founder of Tron, so it's not accurate to say that we don't know the owners of these two coins. Just like we know who created Bitcoin or who is behind Ethereum, we also know about BNB and Tron. In my opinion, your topic doesn't make any sense as your negative outlook toward these two coins seems to be based on personal bias.
