Like clockwork.

Ready Land the chopper.

Surprise, surprise  Grin
Anticipation of this move already seen yesterday.
Thanks for your comment about Trezor, by the way  Cool

EDIT: Almost everybody and their dog expecting a pullback at $80k, down to sixtysomething. This would be quite a surprise at that buying rate right now. ETFs only got started.

Following the news on the EU anti money laundering and anti terrorism financing laws, effectively in place from 30th dec. 2024, i have to say good bye to my Ledger Nano and EU based Crypto broker. I don't use EU regulated exchanges, so no problem there, but attacking privacy of self custody wallets is a no-no-no-no-no!
The broker isn't a problem, because i can DCA via exchange, though less comfortably.

The Trezor Safe 3looks good as a non-EU based ledger replacement.

OpSec trigger warning:
Who of you is actually already using it, and would you recommend it for cold/hot storage or both?

EDIT: Feels like we may get a Weekend-pump tonight. SOMA.

Watching this model it really looks like we had the worst bear market ever in this cycle,  with BTC being undervalued like never before in history.  That'd actually make sense with all these fake BTC being sold and the many lender crashes afterwards..

Wouldn't be surprised too much, if S2F had a great comeback...

S2F projections would have been valid last cycle if China Ban and FTX fraud wouldn't have happened, some analysts said (maybe even PlanB himself, IIRC).
The current cycle was projected to reach between $300k and $450k, somewhere after 2018. With Spot ETFs in place, this could be exceeded, but i have more trust in the old numbers. So, yes, the most bearish cycle so far should have been the last one, but it should somehow compensate later, according to economic theories.

If I were a day trader I’d be a little concerned that the ETF volumes seemed to have peaked, yet. If we see lower volumes again tomorrow it could be a warning sign. Something to watch for. With the halving right around the corner though I think you’re better off sitting through any short term pain.

FTFY

It's not easy for institutions to shift huge investment sums around like that. Those already invested in spot ETF decided to do so before the SEC gave their thumbs-up, so they had their volumes ready. A part of the money just flew off GBTC to be embraced by Greyscale's (or Grayscale's?) new competitors.
All the other (unlucky) institutional investors have to first get significant investment changes nicked off by directors, shareholders etc. first, while some even still wait if ETFs might be a thing and observe before they decide to get in. So if you were a day trader, you might also be heading for losses by selling too early. But that's what daytraders do. They win, they lose, they win...
As we know here in WO, most are better of by trading market cycles. But if one is the type that is mainly driven by Adrenaline and Dopamine rushes, this would probably bore him/her to death.
To each it's own, they say...

…and avoid the Kopfkino by getting a new wallet.

Bet I’m not the only one that googled that very cool term.

Didn't hear/read that term in quite some time...

Reason why I had to eat less than ramen.  Angry

Where in the world can i get such recent stats?
Everything i found (so far) is dated back by about two working days.
185  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 29, 2024, 08:34:21 PM
Guys, a stupid question. I had the paper with my seed phrase on the bed and used my iPhone in my hand to enter the PIN code of my ledger. These 2 minutes my iPhone camera was probably directed towards my seed phrase. Should I be worried? Or am I good? Is NSA watching and has my seed phrase already? Please only serious answers.

Edit: I’m in Thailand right now and using True 5g mobile provider. And German citizen. Nothing to do with the US government.

Did you have data connection enabled?
I'd say, as a non paraniod, that it would only be possible if your iphone got hacked. Secret services need some kind of access to the phone to place rootkits or trojans, usually locally or through 0day exploits (at the click of a button, using special software suites).
Look at your provider bills and phone stats to see if data was transmitted within the two minutes. video streams are quite volume-heavy, but maybe the stats can be faked with a little help of the phone manufacturer. That's the problem with closed source. If you want to be safu, just transfer the coins to a different, secure blockchain address you own, factory-reset the ledger and send the coins back (if you wish).

But this time we will be dining with the gold plated chopsticks  Wink
I beg to differ. Gold plated sticks are heavy and slippery. Disposable is the way to go IMHO!
Well, he mentioned "gold plated" not "solid gold" so shouldn't be heavy. We'll be able to afford solid gold starting from $100k+   Cool

Gold plating bamboo sticks isn't really practical though is it? Tongue

@OutOfMemory I'm a fan of disposables, and I wash them too! Although real disposable sticks (the ones that get broken in on first - and only - use) are too short and ugly to reuse.

My favorites are Japanese style wooden sticks, with pointy tips, a little shorter than the Chinese blunt ones. The best ones have grippy tips and are sanded.

Ha! I'm not even that educated about chopsticks to know that there are Chinese and Japanese ones Grin
So we have only Japanese style over here, i've seen Chinese ones on media, but i would hae a hard time using them, i guess  Cheesy
Had the short ones at some asia  takeaway one time, i called them "emergency chopsticks".
If i'd really wanted to have gold plated sticks, i would not want them to be all golden, but black grip and tip, with an embossed (dragon) style middle section in gold, near the grip, with long, ebony-like, black tips.
Shit, i feel really hungry now  Smiley

New ATH today?

Either that or it's ramen for dinner again! Angry

Actually, we are using Bamboo (disposable) at home when we get em from to-go restaurants or delivery service, but rinse and put em into the dishwasher after use, several times.
Besides that, each of us has a set of reusable chopsticks, which are made of organic plastic and quite slippery, but it's mainly a matter of stick control, not feeling really different to the Bamboo sticks. And last not least, they don't have to be fully gold plated, but with some grippy tips and ends (I use to hold em by the very end, Sensei-style.

what do you guys think of this bitcoin guy rocket? I think we should replace our chopper with something new for our way from 100k to a million. we should be prepared Smiley

maybe someone else who is more skilled then me can create a better rocket?

IDK, this rocket is fine for me. When it comes to design, i'm a fan of simplicity.
You could also choose a Lambo, a Mustang (horse) or a Banana, it's not that important as the number it flies over  Grin

Next week watching Dune II

Very looking forward

I recently watched part I again with my wife to introduce her to the story, because i will take her to the cinema for part II.
When i was 14, i read the book, before i read the remaining ones and also bought the enceclopedia (parts 1 and 2). It was a no-brainer to rent and copy the first movie on VHS, the one by David Lynch, an i also became quite a fan of him afterwards.
In Part 1 (2022) they did everything right. Not too much effects, awesome score, the space created by slowness, lighting and minimalism. The only thing i didn't like was the lack of building tension, which might be only me, because i already knew the story in and out.
Too bad that Frank Herbert doesn't have a chance to watch and comment on it, or even take part in its production.

And not seen the old version

You won't miss anything, but for the old times, it was brilliant. The new version is remarkably authentic, as was the old one (AFAIR), when you don't look too much at details that were omitted to simplify the story and ease the flow.

Bitcoin BTC is now the 5th largest currency in the world.

A quarter of the Yen's MC, and when it is passed, it's only a small step for Bitcoin but a giant leap for mankind.

...

Just checked Gemini exchange.  Still working (that is, got to my account OK, balance is correct), but I did not try to sell anything.  80k is my first sell point.

So you're selling next week then, approximately.

If /when we get to 80k, sure, I'll sell a tiny slice.  Just like I sold slices in 2021 and 2017.  It doesn't hurt to take some profits.  At 90k, another slice.  DCA in reverse if you will.

I'm one of those guys who's never sure about what will happen in the future...  I'll take some of the money and run (like before).

But, I'll never sell all of my BTC.  Never.

Me too. Most of my BTC holdings are destined to become some kind of inheritance for my kids (and the wife, if she keeps treating me well, lol).
For the latter, she has her own holdings, but i manage them. She's not tech-affine at all. I am still trying to get her in the mood to introduce her to Bitcoin and related common (and best) practices.
Good that the market cooled off now, i need to get some sleep, at least 6 hours Grin

So close to breaking the previous ATH in AUD now, I can almost taste it.

I don't think we've ever broken a previous ATH BEFORE a halving event before have we? This cycle could, no, will, be fucking insane

I can't remember the original author, but somebody here was projecting "the mother of all bubbles" onto this circle after Spot ETF approvement.
Selling seems to be a bad advice, if he turns out to be right.

To be fair, selling always seems to be bad advice when you're talking BTC (unless you desperately need the $$$ that is)
* OutOfMemory is nodding quietly

The 1min ramp broke. Nothing to see here, getting some coffee and water the horses before starting work.
Have a good dildo-di-day!

Bots working hard.

60K in 2 hours is inevitable

It's a beautiful ramp on the 1min chart. May lead us even higher, but as we know, resistance is often hard at even numbers.

Going to hit the gym with the expectation that corn will be atleast $58.000 when back home.

Just woke up @a coiners morning hour
Happy to see the chopper

Stay tuned, looks like a breakfast pump  Cool

EDIT: About 85% of ATH reached, yet.

Can't wait until the chopper transforms into a rocket, on its way up with $10k increments  Cool

EDIT: Looks like you can go back home before arriving at the gym front door  Cheesy

That’s one way to view it

“USA Spot #Bitcoin ETFs bought over 9,000 #BTC yesterday, while miners only produced ~900 BTC 👀”

https://x.com/bitcoinmagazine/status/1762554383940599842?s=46&t=EYlgQnpcCaCtcz2k1MwkNg

I need to update my sources. I was checking ETF net flows yesterday, and the latest data was from Feb. 23st  Roll Eyes
Still almost only GBTC outflow volume, (almost) all other ETFs posive inflow. Would have been interesting to look at the monday data...
However, it seems to me that resistance around $57.3k is weakening by watching the exchange charts. Looking good.

@lightfoot:
Some people are missing in here, Arriemoller for example (started a job and has no time, he wrote in his last post), not to speak of the ole OG's like LastoftheV8s, HairyMacLairy (spellcheck off). Call me sentimental, but it looks llike i am  Grin
