why bitcoin is the weakest link among stocks, etc., though?
idk

it surely goes down fast at any sign of trouble....then recovers fast, of course.

Market opening times, maybe?
Or do we talk weekly?

My comment on the situation: fuck Putin!  Angry

Na, fuck all of them. This is a fuck up that extends all the way back to the end of the Soviet Union. Putin was just a result of that fuck up. Will we ever learn? It seems the answer is No.

Merited both of you, because both of you are right, somehow.
Fuck warmongers.

Getting older can make it more difficult to recover from anything, and I remember sometimes in my 20s that I would go for a run when I was extremely sick.. and I am not really sure if that was good for me, but the energy was there to be able to do it.

Oh also if you become bed-laden and you are in your 20s or 30s, frequently, you can build back muscle, but as you get older it becomes quite a bit more difficult to build back muscle.. some guys do take testosterone... but then that could interfere with your body's natural abilities to produce testosterone.. I have not tried anything like that so I am not speaking from personal experiences.. but I can see how it could become quite tempting to supplement in order to build and maintain muscle.. because sometimes you can ONLY exercise so much when you get older. believe it or not.. I am speaking from personal experience in that regard.

As a CFS sufferer, i can only exercise without pain and medium stamina, as well as less after effects, when i take the right supps.
Otherwise daily "routine" like sitting upright, for example, is causing muscle pain. Daily workout is a must for me, because it's more difficult to gain/keep muscle mass, compared to normies in my age.

But regardless of that, i found that doing exercises half speed, preferably even slower, has a better effect on building muscle. As a bonus, it's easier on the tendons and joints as well. I do not take Testosterone, but i am using Bromelaine, which (also) plays a role in Testosterone synthesis within the body.

Don't forget to make a wish at 22:22 tonight...obviously many regions had passed it already.
Apparently, making a wish at exactly this time means something.
Wish well  Wink

I wish for a $22,222,222.22 BTC price.

That's a given.  You shoud have wished for something unrealistic like world peace.

It's pretty given that even $222,222,222.22 will be reached way earlier than world peace...

I'm fed up a little with the bear moves lately, at least it's a very easy #HODL situation.
The van and solar power installation will have to wait, maybe even a few years, to be paid with the help of Satoshi.
I'm feeling like "whatever" about this, as well as about many other topics crossing my way at the time, totally concentrating on Covid rehab.
My body is right, my mind and feelings, both appear "flattened" somehow. I hope meditation will solve this quickly, at least bring up the underlying conflict, if there is one.

EDIT: Oh yeah, having read back only some pages before i realized that it's Sirazimuth's birthday, i wanted join the congratulators. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, old bard! no, it's not a typo. Please Excuse the "old"

#LNMETA

Closed all my channels. Shutting it down.

Given everything going on in my life, managing a LN node is more negative, parasitic energy that has complicated my life beyond any rational measure.

I need to step away, for my own mental health and sanity.

There is no bot that can balance the channels?
I am not touching this until I either retire or there is such bot/AI-lite, whatever.

With the growing interest in and adoption of Lightning, it could come earlier than we think.
Anyway, i'll keep watching this. Maybe i'm up for a node to support LN in the future too, but without having to spend a good part of the day for keeping things running in a satisfying way.

Stupid bollocks.
Enough of this lying shite now!
This so called vaccine helps children not one bit ever since Omicron still spreads like a maniac when you are "vaccinated".

Early results suggest that Moderna's adjusted mRNA vaccine shows the same intensity in building up sterilizing antibodies as the "old" vaccine.
Progress, eh?

Wasn't there a separate thread for all the COViD discussions.....

Seems to me a situation where governments are shutting down financial access to portions of their population and those people turning to Bitcoin to get around those sanctions is about as on topic for BTC speculation as one could get from a fundamental/macro point of view...  I certainly understand that these topics are (designed to be) divisive, but it's not off topic, I'd say.

The bounds are quite fluid, i'd say. These topics are hard to separate for the reason you specified, too.
As i'm more prone to off-topicness myself, i'd welcome the least strict approach.

Agree on the data fails.
Three more days for my minister of health to answer five pages of questions about these numbers, carefully worded by the constitutional court.

1130  Other / Off-topic / Re: [WO/Hat-Gang Only - MODERATED] The fucking COVID vax thread (No hat? Fuck off!) on: February 15, 2022, 06:08:25 PM

Remember when the "specialists" all explained to us that all adverse side effects can only happen within hours or 1-2 days as the vaccine is removed from body completely by then and it is absolutely impossible to see side effects later than 1-2 days after the shot ("listen to science you idiot" and such)?
Now in my country media is currently broadly acknowledging that a significant amount of people develop a serious hives/urticaria within 3 weeks after they have been boostered. On Friday alone there were over 200 new reports of this side effect to the booster (it concerns so far only moderna "customers").

Now that Swiss media is at all reporting about such things is new in this pandemic, so far they have played the same music as everywhere ("trust the science", "you will die if unvaccinated", "it's an act of solidarity", "there is no alternative to get vaccinated" etc.). But here's the catch: This Sunday/today we have a public vote about the question if the government should pump hundreds of millions into national MSM to make sure the the public is getting verified, trustable and critical information... (it that sounds unthinkable for a democracy to you, it is).
So that might be the reason they wanted to demonstrate their ability of critical and independent thinking where it doesn't hurt. Though I even disagree on this, a severe urticaria is no fun at all and while it won't kill you it will make your life quite miserable, especially if it sticks around for some time.

You forgot the main narratives: "Vaccines work" and "vaccines are safu"  Wink
These are also the most absurd, just by looking at the official numbers.

It's like a mass hypnosis. Repeat it over and over again, until it is widely believed by the public, and everbody pretends that everybody "knows these facts"...
We're so primitive, so early in development of humanity, really.

Covid came back at me, two days after starting to recover.
The second time it was a runny nose and light, occasional coughing, slighty raised body temperature, felt almost flu-like, but still lighter.
Took two more days, then it faded. The virus may have affected all of my body, more or less, according to symptom location/origin. I still can't smell certain things, some others just barely. The aromatic taste and smell of coffee, for example, now seems like water, but sour and bitter. No aroma. Even water had a taste before, i recognized today.
So that's it.
I didn't really need this, though.

Take care.

Typical symptoms I had all of the above.

Are you over or under 45?
Are you really over weight?

Over 45 and a little above the lower boundary of normal weight.

Water water water.

buy this

https://www.amazon.com/NaturoBliss-100-Undiluted-Essential-Peppermint/dp/B07G9SHSQV/ref=sr_1_5?

use one or two drops per 16 oz or 1/2 liter    drink 64 oz or 2 liters a day.

will help your sense of smell.

Thanks for the tip! Just by luck, i got a small bottle of bio peppermint oil from a business partner of my wife, two weeks ago.
Tomorrow my order of liponic acid 300mg pills should arrive too, which helps with neuro-regeneration.

I had covid Dec 2019-Jan 2020 1st strain

I had it Halloween 2021 delta strain, but very mild as I was 2x vaxxed

Got third vax in Dec 2021

I should be good for a while

Hope so. It's definitely a tricky little beast.

key is use an O2 meter.

https://www.amazon.com/Zacurate-Fingertip-Oximeter-Saturation-Batteries/dp/B06Y2FFQB9/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?

your heart if good will jump up to 105-115 beats it does it to keep your O2 over 92

if your O2 drops to 88 and your heart is 110 you need more help maybe some anti viral meds.

but if your O2 stays over 92 and your heart drops down a bit to 95-100 you are getting better.

good luck.

Thanks. I got no oxymeter and i had no problems with breathing, but i also supported the lungs with NAC 3x250mg which makes you breathe very easily. It's popular in the athletics/sport scene to extend workouts.

My wife had it come back over and over all of Jan 2020 and Feb 2020 in March 2020 a doctor loaded her up with valtrex (a known anti-viral ) it broke the fever and she stopped having it come back.

The virus is found pretty often in various tissues, many weeks after initial infection. Antivirals work most of the time, or a vaccine shot, but the latter you'd get six months after infection, so there's half a year of waiting while suffering diffuse symptoms. The most promising remedy is BC007, which is currently in clinical trial phase and works like a charm for ME/CFS and Long Covid. Both have been found to activate auto-antibodies which are the reason for the symptoms, mainly blocking blood flow in small blood vessels in random organs.

Wasn't there a separate thread for all the COViD discussions.....

The other thread is about the vaxx/antivaxx/conspiracy discussion.

Wrong terminology.
Fascists are right wing. Trudeau is slightly left wing.
Call him a Commie if you want to sling mud.

At the risk of sounding pedantic, the polarity-shifting and meaning of left/right has been in flux so much over the last two decades, I'm not sure it's fair to state fascism is limited to the right wing, moving forward.

We are living in clown world now, unfortunately.

Language is being redefined in near-realtime.

Whatever background, or network... left, right, pastafarian... you name it, when it comes to gain or keep control, the "leaders" are trying hard, by framing and manipulating. Trudeaus current reframing plot is "honor the brave people that got vaxxed to end the pandemic, because the government 'owes' them to get the rest of the nation to be vaxxed via the mandate". It's the same here in little shithole country, but the reasoning is falling apart with omicron.
Now the governmenr is trying to defend the mandate "to be prepared for the next wave", of which nobody knows how deadly it will be (see the fear mongering, again?).
Sane virologists are muted out of the discussion. I can see the same happening in Canada in the next few weeks and Trudeau knows he overdid the contracted vaccine orders for "his country" by magnitudes. I saw a statistic, that Canada pre-ordered 9.5 doses of vaccines for every citizen. Fucking Justin has locked himself, tactically, so he has no other chance than to push his mandate circus with force.
His whole rethorics sound full of desperation to me.

Have i missed some bullish news or why did the chart nosedive again?

Covid update:
Used my carrageenan nasal spray as eyedrops for my eyeball pain. Works a charm  Cool
Obviously sars-cov-2 induced conjunctivitis. The sea salt, third ingredient besides algae extract and destilled water, got me rid of the dry, itchy feeling in the eyes as well.
5 days of quarantine to go.
1137  Economy / Speculation / Re: on: February 10, 2022, 07:42:43 PM
Well, if you could it would be nice to keep us up to date [...].
So ... I'll start by saying that so far I'm only seeing the usual signs of a cold, however, the pulse'oximeter is still showing a value of 92% at the moment, so I started taking Pulmobreeze for lung prevention (95-96% for my loved ones). But my partner has another problem ... Mild thrombosis of the legs, therefore, as a preventive measure, I also bought blood-thinning drugs, (she is 9 years older).

The only thing that I still don't understand is a slight toothache (as if I chewed gum for 10 hours without a break), although I have never had problems with my teeth in my life. I also asked where it will be possible to urgently purchase a device for lung ventilation in which case, there is no more news for today.

I can say that the current situation really depresses me a little because medicine in my country is developed only on paper. For example, all politicians, without exception, undergo medical examinations and treatment abroad (for me, this is a pretty strong argument in favor of distrust of the healthcare system).  Undecided

Aspirin is a cheap, safe and available blood thinner, too.
Another way to ease breathing is to lie "face down", without covering nose and mouth, of course.
Asthma sprays were used by some with success, i even kept one handy since last year, but i didn't use it.

We're on day 5 after symptom onset, my wife is about to recover and one of our kids started to shiver and vomit today, all the other kids are feeling good again, after three days of very mild symptoms. Just make sure to let in fresh air more often than usual.

... slight case of swollen testicles and bigger, better, more regular erections with increased sex drive and some weird pulsing or vibrations when I'm falling asleep or waking up (still have this slightly when really tired) so probably some kind of slight neurological or nerve impacts, not all negative weirdly

Funny (not really, but read on...)
I used to get aroused very quickly, but now it's like no wind in the southern sails. I also seem to be "blind" to some smells now, like sweet peppers, coconut, milk and some other stuff. I felt somewhat emotionally distanced to my wife, which i blame on the partial loss of smell, but this started to vanish slowly as of today. Really, whenever she said she loves me, i was feeling like "so what?". Strange and worrying at first, but i started actively smelling food, materials, chemicals to train my sense of smell again, seems to work. I also had a good spoon of Wasabi, which was freaking hot in the mouth/throat and on the tongue, but no tears shooting and no runny nose any more.
I'm sure my libido will get up to the same old level, but it felt really worrysome, almost alien-like at first.
1138  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 09, 2022, 05:44:42 PM
Sorry to hear that. Hopefully they are vaccinated and thus the impact will be minimal. If not then hopefully the hospitals in your neighborhood are past the peak admissions from January.
Yes, but I’m not vaccinated, because until now it seemed to me that this was just a convention ...

As a heavy smoker, I have severe shortness of breath in the mornings and evenings .... so for the most part I worry that my already deplorable lung condition will get worse (although I have not yet taken a test). No matter how stupid it may sound, my subconscious will feel better if it does not know about the diagnosis and will position the current state as a common cold, (although I admit I feel inner anxiety).

PM.

Unvaccinated tend to be the milder cases when it comes to Omicron. This has a scientific reason which i pointed out in Bob's vaxxing thread, probably a few days ago.

EDIT:

My try:

post covid today
quarantine for six more days
eyeballs still hurting

vision still blurry
I'm used to have bloodshot eyes
used to go away

haikus work again
got me a bit worried first
but now it seems fine

Fuck... covid got to my family.

Good thing Covid is not what it used to be... but anyway all the best to your loved ones!

All the best!!

My GF has Corona again too, for the second time (first time was Alpha, before vaccines were there, she got long covid as a result). Omicron with a couple of shots is a whole other beast luckily, this time she was pretty sick for one day (yesterday), today is already much better.

I can't remember if i pointed you to this before, but for all Long Covid sufferers, check out this:

https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fmed.2021.754667/full

It's in clinical trial phase at the moment, but has the potential to fully reverse ME/CFS and Long Covid.

Yes, but I’m not vaccinated, because until now it seemed to me that this was just a convention ...

I hope that this will help, at least with the anxiety part: most of my family is not vaccinated and the symptoms were easy.
So keep staying optimistic, drink a lot of tea/infusion, sleep as much as you can.
Our doc told us take Aspenter (gastro-resistant aspirin) once/day, 14 days (for the adults) and that was it all. But we didn't even got a fever off this, just a lot of coughing.
The difference is though that we don't smoke...

Good luck!

I still got eyeball pain and less sharp eyesight, i hope it will vanish soon, but my active infection was only a few days back.
Some things i still can't smell/taste right. Coconut oil tastes like water, my wife's breath in the morning smells like plastic. I wouldn't be too annoyed if the latter would become permanent  Cheesy

EDIT: And my english seems a little worse than before, too. Edited some errors...

EDIT2: Referenced the wrong reply, corrected that too...

OK, seems i'm quite through with the Covid now  Cool  Grin *Party.gif*
Woke up in the night with intense back pain, because i had quit the painkillers yesterday evening, until i had that nausea and some nasty covid shits'n farts.
In on top, out on the bottom, literally  Roll Eyes

Poor wife, randomly considering herself to be fucking smart, omiited the carrageenan nasal spray treatment, which made her suffer quite a bit already, suddenly got the munchies and shoved in a couple of spoons full of Ferrero Nutella (tm), right in front of my shocked lil selfie, which she puked out with all she have had inside her stomach a few hours ago. Now she's lying in cold sweat and fever, wrapped in every unused blanket we had in the house.
Wifey didn't listen to OOM, but i just feel sorry for her, she's getting it really bad from the virus now.
Let's hope the best for her.

Tomorrow i have to drive to the testing unit for PCR testing all my kids. This will be fun, i guess, but not so much for them, unfortunately. The oldest one still didn't have a positive Antigen test yet, seems he's immune already, for whatever reason. When he's getting PCR tested negative tomorrow, he won't get that certificate that frees him from testing at school along with other restrictions, at least for six months. Either he already was infected asymptomatically before the rest of our family, or he benefits from some sort of cross-immunity. Antibody levels are no more accepted as a proof of infection by our stupid lil government, which is on the verge of dismantling itself, again  Roll Eyes

Don't get me wrong, i've seen some mindblowing things in my life, but sometimes, only sometimes, i wish to live a boring and simple life....  Roll Eyes
Stay tuned.
