181  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Newbies] Avoid this type of BTC doubler on: April 03, 2021, 09:02:16 PM
How much greedy people become that they forget they are getting scammed royally. What a bunch of morons these people are, who are actually losing their Bitcoin just to satisfy their greed for more. I am sad that people are still falling for such scams, whatever efforts you put in to educate these morons end of the day they will remain morons.

I don't think they are greedy but probably they got blinded by these or at least easily got fooled with this kind of tactic. It might not be as effective as the Twitter hack that had happened but this still applied a similar deception on which he impersonated Elon Must with a re-tweet. Since Elon Musk has millions of followers and has recently expressed his support in cryptocurrency probably a lot of these people are following all his tweets that is why the scammer victimized several people. There is no easy way of avoiding these kinds of attack and the only way I can think of is to lessen the people who will be fooled by these through educating them.
182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A fake app in apple app store stole his life savings in bitcoin on: April 03, 2021, 07:38:37 PM
Apple would not name the developer of the fake Trezor app or provide the developer’s contact information. Apple wouldn’t say whether it was turning over the name to law enforcement or whether it investigated the developer further. Apple also wouldn’t say whether that developer had developed any other apps in the past or had connections to other developer accounts under different names.

WTF kind of PR response is this? A total of 1.6$ Million have been stolen through a fake app they have on their own app store and they aren't showing any kind of action for letting a fake Trezor app be available for download? Seriously a lot of people are too comfortable downloading things straight without looking for reviews and the rating as they trust both Google and Apple to have screened everything yet there is still a bunch of scams and fake apps popping around their app stores, the sad thing about here is both companies don't respond to their own users who got victimized by these fake apps. That's why if I am downloading apps I don't search it on the app store but go to the developer's website and click their app's link in their just for the peace of my mind.
183  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-03-30 TheVerge - PayPal will let US users pay with Bitcoin on: April 03, 2021, 05:23:57 PM
The "PayPal" news is good, but it is also bad. PayPal effectively act as a Payment processor and whatever bitcoins are bought and sold, will not really have an affect on the price. As I see it, most people will not have any real incentive to use Crypto currencies over PayPal, because most of those coins are bought and sold on their centralized database.  Roll Eyes

Yeah when it comes to cryptocurrencies being used as payment (coverted into Fiat) this won't affect the price of Bitcoin but they also have direct buy and sell for the cryptocurrencies within their services. It might not be the same as a normal crypto exchange platform where you can setup your buy and sell order but it does have an influence on Paypal directly as they will be the ones buying cryptocurrencies for their own supply for their service. Also didn't we asked for a wider presence that can help us have the mass adoption we are looking for? We can't really help it but for these big name companies finally including cryptocurrencies in their businesses is really a step up for the public to be aware that cryptocurrencies exists in the end the crypto holder will always be the one who will choose whether he wants to avail a centralized service or not.
184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: April 03, 2021, 04:21:03 PM
There's no pressure for him to the point that they can already win the champ with the current rooster what they have but for getting the title? Well thats a big questionable to him since we don't know yet if he aims to become a mvp of this team since it could rise his marker value but for having a great teammates well provably he will struggle to get that title.

With what Brooklyn Nets currently have I don't think missing 1 all-star in their starting line-up could affect what they are doing. That is why we see they are ok with Kyrie Irving taking breaks as well as KD having an extended break for his "recovery" since they are already comfortable on where they are and I think they are more preparing in the playoffs rather than having a lot of wins in the league right now where everything will be on the line for the championship.
185  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: AdCrypto.net - Marketing Partner For Crypto Business(Moderators Needed) on: April 02, 2021, 03:43:09 PM
IMHO, that's a bit too low when it comes to what such ranks usually earn on a monthly basis [in this forum].
This is just an example, i believe just the lending & gambling projects the single sponsor already can pay at least thousand of USD every month for the campaign. And if the moderator able to bring in 10 sponsor, the minimum sales is at least 5-6 figures, and the commission a moderator can get is at least 4 figures of USD per month.

SFR10 is talking about the earnings of the "webmasters" aka the siteowners aka the content creators, well its awesome that the moderator and your services will be earning 15% each from the campaign but think about the hundreds of siteowners who will be dividing everything once you get your cut. I cannot imagine a proper website accepting into this kind of terms where they don't earn by how many views they have or how many impressions they get from their visitors but from what is left from the commission they'll be sharing with others. If you want more promoters/carriers of your ads you shouldn't think about yourself first but the ones who will be carrying your banners.
186  Economy / Economics / Re: I'm afraid of the crypto craze in Korea. on: April 02, 2021, 01:11:46 PM
I think Korea is no different than others because anyone who invests in bitcoins will look to cash at some point and will speculate.

Well there is a big difference unfortunately OP have failed to bring some data to back up his comment on why it is getting "dangerous" in South Korea now. Like what I have said on my first post South Korea as of right now has a bigger volume on their crypto exchanges rather than their own stock market which means that a lot of their citizens' savings and capital are in a riskier market. Just imagine a whole nation will have their whole economy fall sharply when majority of their traders got victimized by a correction or a bearish reversal maybe some of them won't recover as their entire life savings is inside the crypto market. This is why the OP is worried about the crypto craze happening in their country.
187  Economy / Economics / Re: I'm afraid of the crypto craze in Korea. on: April 01, 2021, 05:41:21 PM
This have been mentioned in the past (2018) and recently since South Korea has more volume in their crypto exchanges now than their own stock market. For me even if you are worried there is really nothing left to do as it is always the decision of the buyer on which kind of asset they want to invest in, South Koreans have proven that they have a higher risk appetite as compared to other people and if they want to invest their capital to a faster moving asset then they should be accepting the risk as well. Any market really has its risks and if the crypto industry will affect their country's economy I believe that the government will step up with regulations just to somehow control the market.
188  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Fidelity is filing a Bitcoin ETF! on: April 01, 2021, 04:20:31 PM
Its where the financial markets are most likely headed now.

1 March: Goldman Sachs relaunches crypto trading desk

9 March: JPMorgan launches 'crypto exposure' product

17 March: Morgan Stanley set to offer clients access to bitcoin funds

And this is something expected from the big fishes as they have started noticing that the crypto industry which they currently don't have any exposure off might one of the reasons for a decrease in their income. Companies like Grayscale and BlockFi have pioneered crypto related investments and if these institutional giants cannot offer it to their clients they are at risk at losing some income opportunity for this market. This is just their way of filling the gaps.
189  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: 5 Best Bitcoin Wallets for Android on: March 31, 2021, 09:22:08 PM
Looks like an article aimed at shit wallets while leaving out awesome bitcoin mobile wallet like Electrum.

The mobile version of Electrum is really not a good wallet as compared to its desktop counterpart. For me personally it is a little bit sophisticated with a lackluster UI and it sometimes lags on me which doesn't really fit on a cellphone where you are expected to be always on the go and make quick hassle-free payments, tbh I'm more comfortable using a custodial wallet if I'll be paying something with my mobile phone. If Electrum wants to be a popular mobile wallet they should redesign the wallet to a better way for mobile users as you can really see a lot of their disappointments in their reviews about the app.
190  Economy / Speculation / Re: The reasons why Bitcoin price drops recently on: March 31, 2021, 05:00:36 PM
Why does a lot of people connect every news they see on the price movement of Bitcoin when it is honestly all about the market cycle for it. Bitcoin obviously has been in a bull run for a long time now and the price corrections we are seeing are mostly about profit taking, but instead of accepting that fact a lot of people will just connect everything just to make sense on a simple thing like this one. It is possible that there is a shift in market demand but the OP is reaching with his speculations without any proof that their capital is transferred to either gold or the stock market. I guess we have been influenced by the crypto media websites too much that we connect everything we see on the price movement of Bitcoin.
191  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Crypto.com charging more than their listed fees ... (SCAM??) on: March 31, 2021, 03:24:18 PM
They probably have hidden fees for their transaction since from what I have seen the fix .0004 BTC withdrawal fee is what they charge other fees such network fees and other commissions might not be inclusive of that charge which they probably should clarify in the first place. Its either an internal error or they are purposely hiding it so it doesn't discourage users to use their service. The complaints in reddit are left without any replies from crypto.com so we really don't know the exact reason why.
192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where does Grayscale store its Bitcoins? on: March 31, 2021, 01:15:23 PM
Sometimes companies do publicly mention some of there wallet addresses or some of their users just connect it from the transactions whether they are depositing or withdrawing which these companies are obviously using these wallet addresses. But I don't think they do that for their cold storages for security purposes as these Bitcoins or cryptocurrencies are really for the purposes of storing their reserves.  Also you can't really link any wallet address to an identity not unless the owner of that wallet has make it known to the public, that's why you can get the data to the wallet addresses who has the largest quantity of Bitcoin but you don't exactly know who owns these wallets.
193  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-03-30] Chipotle plans to give away $100,000 in both Bitcoin and free food on: March 31, 2021, 12:12:14 PM
I got something to speculate with since their website is called "https://www.burritosorbitcoin.com/" what if this is their lowkey way of having a survey on knowing how many people are more interested in having Bitcoin rather than burritos and if the numbers are right they might soon accept Bitcoin as a direct payment in their establishments. For me they won't suddenly team up to a crypto related entity just to have a Bitcoin as prize. This is in-line with their digital restaurant which the article has mentioned that has opened last year so there is really a chance they are also seeing how many people are interested with Bitcoin itself.
194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 30, 2021, 05:41:21 PM
For the rest of the season, I hope that AC Milan will stay in the top 4 at least and compete in the UCL competition next season. I expect their participation there every season, but they don't seem consistent enough. Serie A will restart on Saturday and AC Milan will be the league opener after the international break. The match between AC Milan vs Sampdoria is expected to be a momentum for AC Milan to rise for the rest of the season. I don't expect them to take the main position from Inter Milan, it's very difficult. But at least they have to be consistent for the rest of the season.

If we are talking here honestly Serie A only has 1 consistent UCL qualified team and that is Juventus before 2021 you will see teams like Napoli, Roma, Atalanta, Inter and even Lazio battle it out for 2nd-4th spot. Milan being fortunate enough to have a good start for the season is something that I don't think Milan is ready off, they will be like other Serie A teams who only last until the group stages and that is it for them. Like what I have said during the start of the season they really didn't have any major upgrades in their roster and for me the team they have is not good to go up above the group stages.

195  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Presenting: 3D Modular Eco-Cities - the next big thing on: March 30, 2021, 04:01:37 PM

I'm not quite sure what you are trying to achieve here even if you list down your goals in this video I find it hard to believe a eco-city project can achieve all of this. I would understand the possibility of some happening but with regards to the legal stuff like "No lislature/Elections" or "No Property Tax" I believe this won't be possible not unless you built your modular eco-friendly city outside of any kind of jurisdiction that is already being governed by another country which I think is impossible right now. Bottomline is you can't promise these things if you don't have your own land to build your city.
196  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-03-26 Yahoo! - Chainalysis Raises $100M, Demand for Blockchain Surveillance on: March 30, 2021, 03:01:48 PM
I don't see any private companies availing their services as there is no need for them to do so.

You are very wrong here. Information are the oil of 21st century. Payment information are the holly grail of information. Companies gather and trade information about customers and competition. They do that on social media the do that on websites, they do that on payment services. They same they do and will do on transparent ledger cryptocurrencies.

If companies are more interested in payment information I believe that they won't be focusing on Blockchain related transactions first because from what I have seen there are far more focused on gathering up information from credit/debit card transactions as well as use e-commerce data for what products are people actually buying which for a company is a more direct way of answering what people are interested in, I know for some data companies are actually asking for receipts of users to gather up what they are buying in groceries and department stores. Blockchain analysis right now is something more focused by government entities rather than private companies.
197  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-03-26 Yahoo! - Chainalysis Raises $100M, Demand for Blockchain Surveillance on: March 29, 2021, 04:23:34 PM
Chainalysis' main client are government departments as they offer tracking services that can potentially rule out the crime happening with the use of cryptocurrencies, I don't see any private companies availing their services as there is no need for them to do so. Regarding if Chainalysis have any close competitors with what they are doing I don't recall any name competing against them so they are literally the only ones who stand out in this Blockchain tracking industry, however I think for a main competitor to rival Chainalysis in this industry I see the biggest opportunity for them is to discover a way on how to track Monero related transactions which I think the US government particularly the IRS have provided a reward for people on cracking Monero's system. If they simply did this first then I think it will pave them the way to overtake Chainalysis.
198  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Crypto exchange listed on Coinmarketcap on: March 29, 2021, 03:45:47 PM
According to CMC's list the lowest volume traded daily that is listed in their website is currently BVNEX which currently has 107$ million dollars worth of daily traded volume an exchange this big won't even bite the 999$ you are asking since they can easily earn that with just maybe a minute of waiting for their commissions and fees. Also for you to understand how these works I believe buying an ownership of an exchange isn't simply as just sending Bitcoin to the other people, buying a crypto exchange is similar to transferring an ownership of a company since the reputable exchanges always have companies backing them. You are simply demanding something way over your budget.
199  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Ray Dalio predicting bitcoin to be outlawed on: March 28, 2021, 09:04:51 PM
Looks like Yahoo interviewed a guy who is just reaching on the idea of a US ban for Bitcoin but has failed to establish any kind of fact that the government is indeed banning cryptocurrencies. They just cited how gold was banned in the past but it doesn't mean it will be the same for Bitcoin or for any cryptocurrency in this matter. What I have only seen so far is authorities are striving more regulations and more ways on how to track crypto transactions but nothing about a blanket ban being a solution for any kind of problem here.

Here is my comment on to the same topic in the press section. I believe that Dalio is just merely speculating about Bitcoin being outlaw as he have compared the ban on what happened to gold which has several different circumstances where during that time gold is competing with the US dollar, now we have the SEC even controlling and regulating multiple kinds of assets from stocks, bonds, and even cryptocurrencies. The US government isn't even headed in that direction on the way I see it with them more focus on regulations rather than prohibitions towards the crypto industry.
200  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19, Lockdown and repercussions on: March 28, 2021, 07:50:31 PM
I'd like to discuss the financial and the mental repercussions of the pandemic plus, how do you cope with the Lockdown yourself?

For the financial part of things the company I am working with have successfully shifted from a work from home setup so I was one of the fortunate ones to be able to get fully pay even if I am not on an office, the sad thing about lockdowns is how you can't really socialize with your friends anymore aside from the social media which really I don't count as socializing, this for me is one of the toughest challenges as I always like to go out and eat with friends. I really don't watch the tv anymore as I don't see any goods news but always how the pandemic is getting more worst in my country so what it looks to me that a vaccine isn't really solving anything right now.
