1801  Economy / Speculation / Re: Industry experts believes BTC is primed to hit $106,000 on: August 14, 2022, 02:27:24 PM
Beginning of the year I was still optimistic that the price of 2022 could reach $ 106k, but after 8 months and the remaining around 4 months then I doubt whether Bitcoin could reach $ 106k, if you see the predictions of many experts possibly the highest price that will occur in 2022 is $ 45 K,
After bitcoin fell from the second top at around 70k, many had doubts that it could reach 100k soon. Similarly, many bought bitcoin at 30-40k thinking it had bottomed out. Now there is no doubt in anyone's mind that this year's growth above last year's ATH is definitely not worth waiting for. But in a few years history may well repeat itself.
1802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: August 14, 2022, 12:59:46 PM
For some reason many think Lazio could easily beat Bologna today, but I think there could be a surprise here. By the way, these teams have the same winning stats against each other. However, the last time Bologna beat Lazio away ten years ago, I think they have a chance today, at least for a draw.
1803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: August 13, 2022, 10:50:08 AM
I want to see how the new Barcelona play tonight against Rayo Vallecano. Surprisingly, Barcelona have lost their last two games to the visitors. Will they be able to correct those mistakes tonight? I think so, and I think they will be able to score some goals. With these changes at the club and good transfers, Rayo Vallecano have no chance.
1804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: August 12, 2022, 01:55:40 PM
Interestingly, Freiburg have won their last two home games against Borussia Dortmund. Both teams have started the season well and Freiburg scored 4 goals in the first game against Augsburg, while Borussia beat Bayer decently with one goal. I think the visitors will win or draw today, but it will definitely not be an easy game for both teams.
1805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some recent tweets by Elon Musk showing he is starting to warm up to Bitcoin? on: August 12, 2022, 12:16:25 PM
Musk is a professional troll, and while he does seem to hold some beliefs and values, I don't think they apply much to cryptos. Cryptos are just an area of pumping and dumping to him, clearly, and a meme is more important that anything. So sometimes he gives people hope that he's not all anti-Bitcoin, and other times news hit that his company sold tons of their bitcoins. Most recently, it seems, he reiterated support of Dogecoin. But then again, I remember that he once made a Twitter poll on whether his audience wants to see Dogecoin as a payment for Teslas, and the majority voted yes, but he didn't do it anyway.
I think he's just pretending to be a fat troll, when in fact he's a trickster, and does everything purely for his own gain. He doesn't care about cryptocurrencies, he just manipulated the market well at the time and was able to make a lot of money. And because cryptocurrencies are not sufficiently regulated, his tricks go unpunished.
1806  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Qualifying 4/08/22 on: August 11, 2022, 02:12:23 PM
^ neither are even 3/1 so am avoiding that match altogether. Oh and don't forget what I'd PM'd you about Wink

What I did do instead was to take Maribor as the underdogs, Partizan and Malmo and the odds turned out to be 8.88.

Probably not wise, but I couldn't resist stupendous belief in superstition I didn't realise I even had Wink

Feel free to not follow on Sportsbet: https://sportsbet.io/sharebetslip/37907dd3-97ac-47b1-836e-9ae527cb96b1

I don't know how the magic of 888 numbers can help you, but I think your first bet on Maribor will be lost. I don't rule out a draw here because they have nothing to lose today, but the Finns look much stronger. I have my doubts about Malmo as well. After a comfortable home win, they have no motivation to play well today, unlike the hosts. I wish you good luck, but I don't think it will be tonight.
1807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Qualifying 4/08/22 on: August 11, 2022, 10:11:40 AM
Slovan Bratislava will face Olympiacos in the return leg at home today. Judging from their first game, Slovan have a better chance of winning, because they almost won the away game, conceding only in the final minutes, playing a draw. I think that Olympiacos will lose today and in general the Greek club has played much worse than before.
1808  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin the best investment at the moment? on: August 10, 2022, 07:26:31 PM
Sure it is. Investing in Bitcoin is always a good choice. There is no currency other than BTC and ETH that has best opportunity to invest in. But always make sure to plan it all. Avoid getting hype by FOMO. Invest your mind also some knowledge to fully understand to movement of the crypto market.
Only experience and probably a few deposits help one to understand market movements. A great deal of patience and nerves of iron can also help in investing. Otherwise buying bitcoin can bring losses to the investor. There were a lot of stories about people who bought at 20k in the last cycle and then sold at 6k before reaching 70k. I'm sure many have also sold or will sell in the future without waiting for a new cycle. Psychologically it always works the same way.
1809  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin doesn't like inflation either on: August 10, 2022, 03:13:28 PM
Bitcoin moves with the other major indices. The NASDAQ and S&P indices bounced sharply after the release of this positive news. Along with this, bitcoin also showed gains. Therefore, I don't think we can talk about bitcoin as a separate asset at this time. If bitcoin was not tied to the stock markets and did not show a clear correlation, then we could talk about it as a phenomenon. But now it follows the rest of the market, so it is no surprise that it has risen.
1810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An alternative to gambling with money. on: August 10, 2022, 10:06:08 AM
Deeply saying is just like a demo app where one can practice but I will say something about my experience when trying to use app to practice. For instance I was actually trading on demo but when I went live it wasn't the same as on demo.
I was making cool cash and building up my account with that skill I thought I have mastered it and wanting to go live, which I did but same week I lost all my funds and was left with nothing

In summary, such app can be made easy and simple to use since they are real cash using for betting and there are lot of technicalities involved while betting with real Cash.
Fake money can be gamble with or without fear, tension and anxiety to win so there are lot advantage while using the app compared to real cash gambling.
I guess anything involving money always works differently than demo mode. I once studied trading and started on a demo account too, and I had good success from the start. Then I thought I knew how to do everything and opened a real account and made a deposit. That story ended identically to yours, I lost money very fast. I guess in gambling it's not much different from trading.
1811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Qualifying on: August 09, 2022, 03:59:45 PM
PSV and Monaco will have an equally interesting game after their last draw. Both teams need a win, but the chances are about the same, although PSV play well at home, plus they have been scoring a lot of goals lately. I think that after the away game in Monaco they can arrange something similar at home. I think they should win this game.
1812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Qualifying on: August 09, 2022, 11:56:56 AM
It's interesting, how Ludogorets will play today against Dinamo Zagreb.  In the last game, it didn't go well for Ludogorets, they conceded on 8 minutes and even scored an own goal, but managed to get one back. I think that today Dinamo will win, because they usually play well at home, but I think that Ludogorets will also play well after the disappointing mistakes in the last match.
1813  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we at the bottom? no one knows, but market is doing fine. on: August 08, 2022, 07:06:07 PM
Given the current economic situation, it is highly unlikely for the market to fully recover,
Sadly this is true even though it goes against all logic and bitcoin design!
Bitcoin is the hedge against inflation and whenever the fiat currencies dump, bitcoin price should go up. And we all know that all major fiat currencies from USD to EUR are dumping hard as we can see price of everything is increasing (except bitcoin!).

I think we need more time to prove, bitcoin is still considered a volatile asset and it is still not a reliable asset when the governments of countries constantly see bitcoin as an enemy. This is what makes bitcoin not as popular and trusted as other traditional assets.

But in the long run, maybe 5 years or 10 years when fiat depreciates heavily, people will know what to do with their assets, they will realize bitcoin is the most effective hedge against inflation.
But there may be another currency that will be promoted by different governments, which is CBDC. If that happens in the near future, just as you say in 5 years, but maybe sooner because fiat money will depreciate because of inflation, that will be a huge problem for bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. CBDC will definitely become a worldwide ban for cryptocurrencies.
1814  Economy / Speculation / Re: I do believe that Bitcoin will be more scarce than gold on: August 08, 2022, 12:35:09 PM
Of course Bitcoin is scarcer than gold because Bitcoin has a fixed supply. There can only be 21 million Bitcoin ever. That won't change. As to gold, not only has humanity been mining gold for thousands of years already, it is still mining until today. And they always come up with additional supply. And not only that, there is also reason to believe that there is indeed abundant gold outside the earth that humans might be able to source in the years to come.
I think the supply of bitcoins on the exchanges now exceeds 21,000,000, especially when you consider the number of different surrogates in the form of wrapped bitcoins in other blockchains. It is the same situation with gold, which is very much only on paper, but absent in reality. When the bankers get involved, the situation is the same with any asset.
1815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: August 08, 2022, 08:20:11 AM
The problem is that the teams don't have a lot of preparation time for this tournament. Otherwise you could fly to Qatar 3 weeks in advance and then you could prepare optimally there to also adapt to the weather conditions. For example, if you play football in England, France or Italy in November, it can already snow or freeze. Quite strange when you are in Qatar 2 days later on a training field and that it is 32 degrees there. Your body has to get used to that too. What many people don't realize is that you can get a reverse version of a kind of flu due to the extreme temperature difference. If players go home, you can easily catch a cold again in December.

At the moment with the heat wave in Europe you're getting temperatures hovering 40 degrees. That's actually hotter than what's going to be in Qatar for the World Cup.

I think most players will be fine regarding the weather. It's not going to be as hot as summer time there.
It will still be very hot in Qatar, especially as it will almost be winter in Europe by this time. Therefore, it will be harder for European players to adapt than those from Africa or South America. By the way, this is one of the reasons why I think Brazil or Argentina could win the World Cup.
1816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will we see ethereum PoW forks? on: August 07, 2022, 01:50:03 PM
Already many exchanges, including Gate.io and MEXC Global, have said they will support ETH forks. There's probably money to be made on that, but I don't think many will be able to. I think it's bullshit, like Bitcoin Cash was once forked by Bitcoin Satoshi Vision and Bitcoin ABC, which both turned out to be useless in the end. That will be the case here as well. Nobody wants to make the rest of us rich at the expense of this fork.
1817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What I have learnt about wazirx on: August 07, 2022, 10:30:59 AM
Interesting how CZ has denied any connection with Wazirx. It was funny to read the tweets about this exchange being owned by Binance and then that supposedly Binance is not aware of such a project. And now CZ offers to transfer all funds from one exchange to another. As if all this did not lead to a new market crash, because Wazirx was a big exchange.
1818  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: August 07, 2022, 08:18:35 AM
Probably Clermont can just not take the field against PSG today, the result will be about the same. I think PSG will easily win their first game, especially against such a weak opponent. I expect PSG to score at least 2 goals, but I think there will be more, and the hosts won't be able to do anything against the billionaires from Paris.
PSG has scored 3 goals already and overall good performance from PSG team. Outstanding performance from Neymar. He have scored 1 goal and assisted 2 within halftime. In the second half they have enough chance to make the score 5 or more.

PSG is playing really good and so impresive at start of the ligue1 i dont know if Clermont is really weak or PSG is just too good. PSG is also playing without Mbappe and they dont need him as how PSG is playing. Impressive play from PSG today and they might score more
I think it's difficult to assess the quality of PSG's play in this game. It's simply the game of a super team that can probably be considered the best and most expensive in the world against an outsider who has just moved up to Ligue 1 from the lower divisions. Probably no one here doubted that PSG would win this game without a problem.

1820  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for August on: August 06, 2022, 05:24:01 PM
Now a lot of people think August will be a good month for bitcoin, which we have been seeing for a week now. Bitcoin now has support at 22k and I think there should be a bounce from that level. Anyway, the beginning of the month is already good and I hope that this month will be as green as the previous one. So, it is possible that we finally have a local uptrend phase.
