I have actually. Even in this very thread. There are some of my faves in my sig as well. In addition to Tek, Phs, Hbn, & Zeit, I like Mint, ECCoin, FLT, & BCX. I don't like momentum gambles on pump and dump coins, I like nice steady appreciation.
Thats pretty obvious. You cant discuss innovation with a miner. There is no innovation in your coins. Simple pump and dump coins with multipools or low difficulty. None of them is worth to spend just one buck, unless you need to keep your mining equipment running. Sorry but thats exactly what pushes me further to NXT. I thank you for your opinion. Given the amount of time some of the mentioned coins have steadfastly held their value, I certainly wouldn't call them pump and dumps. Many of these coins reached stability long long before next was a twinkle in bcnext's eye. Also as every single coin I mentioned is a PoW/PoS hybrid, continued mining is unnecessary, but I suspect you knew that already. My problem with every pure PoS coin I've seen thus far is that initial distribution is very tightly distributed into just a few hands. As is the case with next. As mentioned, I did try next, I just didn't see much anything to cheer about.

Got a guy that can do the work on the wallet. At this point I'm thinking kiss(keep it simple stupid) as I don't want to step on thundertoe's...uh toes, but I want coin control and patched OpenSSL asap. If at least one person can match me I'll offer a bounty of 400 Tek to patch this wallet: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B6FbZoRgtIW2SHFpUlNIMlVpLVk/edit?pli=1Any takers? In any other case I wouldn't want to step on thundertoe's...well ummm...toes. However, TekCoin is SHA256-based and it doesn't look like it has been updated to address the HeartBleed exploit. Since this poses a great risk to investors, I say that we go ahead with creating an updated wallet. Throw in some coin-control and perhaps get rid of the stupid small text/custom fonts. Also a new logo would give this coin a new lease on life. I am sure Thundertoe would have no problems with the community adding value and security to Tekcoin. Yeah the OpenSSL update is a must despite the minuscule risk it poses. Didn't think of a font change as I don't have much trouble reading it with the removed gradient version I linked to, but that's probably a good idea too. Can I consider this a firm commitment to match my own 400 Tek bounty for this work? OpenSSL patch to latest(heartbleed fix) Coin control added New font

For the 'ordinary' guys, like me I downloaded & installed the 'new' wallet to my Win7 x64 laptop with ZERO hassles or problems - it had never had any wallet on it before so it was a totally 'clean' installation. 10/10It finished syncing the block-chain a few minutes ago - it has almost THREE TIMES as many network connections as the main wallet on my PC, and that has every node that's been published here in the .conf file 10/10I have made small test transactions to & from the wallet, no problems 10/10- I'd appreciate it if one or two of you out there could make a small test-deposit there too (spare a Shekkel for an old ex-leper, gov?) Test address - MXeZKcdUPb5m133sC9GKzaGYbZKSTneuc7 Of course, it's not possible (for me!) to test the 'coin control' features until transactions are matured. So, with quite a reasonable 'bag' in my main holding wallet, I won't be rushing to update until it's gained the "Royal Seal of Approval" The Official Tech-Team are checking all the things they need to right now, they'll make an Official announcement when they are happy. But hey, you know these types, they'll take their time until they are certain - as it should be! But speaking as an normal user, I'm quite satisfied that this thing 'does what it says on the tin', at least on Win7 x64. This is an observation not a recommendation, it is TOTALLY up to the individual what they do, and in NO WAY is anyone connected with the Coin or the Community responsible or liable for any untoward or unforeseen shit that happens as a result. ... but maximum respect to the Dev, and the guys who backed him, for making this happen Thanks for the update and kind words. I should mention that my own tests were run on two different machines. One running win 7 x64 and a second running a vmx image of win 8 x64. I detected no difference in performance between the two and no difficulties of any kind. Cheers

It will need to be 'approved' by the community dev team before it gets an official sanction (added to the OP etc) so don't be too quick to claim the bounty until it is. But anticipating that, my congratulations & heartfelt thanks for your work. Don't worry, I don't claim nothing yet, I've only publicate the address I've open a pull request for update sources too on the official github repo FaSan For my portion of this bounty, I'm satisfied that all is in order with your changes. I set up a fresh Zeitcoin wallet with an empty directory(no dll's). Your version synced and updated fine. I conducted numerous transfers with coin control enabled with no difficulties. OpenSSL has been patched to 1.0.1g 7 Apr 2014. I consider this bounty claimed and will transmit 3,000,000 Zeitcoin to you within the hour. Job well done!Paid. Txid: 9a4bcafa89a85f14f5084d874c0e27fc324111c1ae5dc6bb927ac8229996322d Arrived ! Thank you FaSan No. Thank YOU! I got some work I'd like done on another wallet if you're available. PM me if you're interested.

Anyone have any guesses as to when that overhead supply of Zeitcoin in the mintpal order queue will get Zapped? Well if you look closely you'll note that the dumpers are already on a continuous cycle of chasing ever lower prices. Sell orders are constantly being lowered and the higher priced sell walls are thinning out. Good news as it makes it much easier to buy out the remaining weak hands. Emotional traders always follow this cycle of maximum pessimism > capitulation > bottom reached > rebound.

Not any more. Edit: Well that was quickly rebuilt. Some of these guys are desperate to sell for less.

Well, one might say the coin was broken and will not stake if for instance they were trying to drive the price down sharply right before they made a large acquisition. Naturally no one in this thread would do such a dastardly thing. Are you saying I should talk it down to drive the price down? Then maybe i can hit my target. No, I'm implying...in an apparently too subtle way...that somebody already ran that playbook.

Opinions on Zeitcoin stakehunter? It's 25% with a low cost of admission and a virtually non-existent PoW component with reward at 1/block.

well we wouldn't pay until the work was done so np.

Actually there's a less ugly version floating around now. I'm running that one as I can't even read the balance on the original. As to the amount of the bounty...I guess, whatever it takes to get the job done.

The purpose of POS is to secure the network. POS reward is paid to secure the network by minting. High % return of POS is just a self-diluting game that puts a downward pressure on the coin's price, hence doesn't offer real return as "interest". What about this? Is this paragraph also correct in your opinion? The purpose of PO W is to secure the network. PO W reward is paid to secure the network by minting. High block reward of PO W is just a self-diluting game that puts a downward pressure on the coin's price, hence doesn't offer real return. That is fine, but irrelevant to this thread which is about PO S coins. POS is a way to secure the network without spending a huge amount of energy hashing. POS reward marging, after sufficient adjustment by the market, will be extremely thin because it really doesn't take a lot to secure a POS network. Any extra reward will used to lower the price of the coin, canceling out the gain. So using POS reward to get rich is not going to work. Using POS coins to store value is highly likely to work -- POS is very efficient at keep its coin network running. I don't know if you've noticed but all mining margins have contracted significantly recently.

i had to delete the blkindex and redownload the blockchain but it is all good now
we need an updated wallet to show the stake arrow like the rest of the cool PoS coins and a mac wallet if possible ...and coin control, and an openssl patch. Group bounty anyone? I just got the zeitcoin wallet updated in a few hours with a bounty.

1955. I've switched my primary residence since I ordered last friggin sept and have repeatedly emailed them updated info, but beyond an automated response they refuse to confirm the changes. Awesome service from a company I've sent the equivalent of $26k.

Somebody also mentioned that they were told in chat that cryptsy was updating their backend today and tomorrow in anticipation of adding fiat pairs in the near future. Second or third hand info and from the troll box at that, but it may explain some of their creepy behavior of late.

2,000,000 Zeitcoin bounty for the first working Zeitcoin windows wallet with working coin control functionality.
And another 2mil from me .. What's going on with the wallet? I built the original zeit coin wallet, but have not been around for a while. I know some other people have been in there since. What exactly is the problem? As mentioned, there is no problem. We just want coin control asap. It's important for a PoS wallet as you can use it to avoid the penalties that would normally occur with the default fifo system. It's a nice feature for PoW only coins, for PoS wallets, it should be manditory. Edit: BTW coin control was very recently added to the Mintcoin wallet. Mintcoin is the older brother of Zeitcoin and I believe the template upon which the coin was built? If that gives you any leads. Could be an easy 4m 5m Zeit. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=450381.0Edit 2: 1,000,000 additional Zeitcoin if you also update the OpenSSL implementation to latest code in the windows walletDone ! CoinControl feature and OpenSSL Hertbleed fix. https://mega.co.nz/#!FBElgY7A!nNO2lMA3fjOdSG7inuIzCqObm5yjmZUPkZgHB7CnKCoMy Zeit Address : MhHF5so9BXMACzcZMQnE9uAL5qUahKFNkY PS : you can delete the old DLL files. Don't need it anymore FaSan Yer quick! Gimme a chance to kick the tires and I'll transmit if all is in order. Thank you!

I don't like momentum gambles on pump and dump coins, I like nice steady appreciation. That is some hipocrite suggestion right there. Few answers ago you said you hate it, that the richest get richer even more. Then you suggest coin that have POS with intrest. Which is essentially FIAT intrest without lending. How is this better than the 0.01% ROI that NXT has with forging for transactions fees. In this scenario, the rich DOESN't get richer... If you'd like to can the insult and try again in a civilized manner I'd be more than happy to address your comment. Should give you plenty of time to brush up on your spelling as well.
