1801  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is crypto on the way to destruction? on: November 16, 2022, 03:37:25 PM
Destruction? LOL that's a pretty heavy word for what's happening right now. We are on a cycle and everything is possible during bear market. Hacks, Bans, Bankruptcy and other things are just happening every cycle and I'm sure that there will be something new to make the price go down. Our assets is our own responsibility whether it's a bullish or bearish market. From my own perspective, I can see that theymos is only reminding us to use non-custodial wallets and just to avoid storing our coins into an online platform knowing that something like what currently happening recently might happen again and we just need to have precaution to that.
1802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Can Be Done To Reduce Gambling Related Issues Like Suicide etc? on: November 14, 2022, 06:56:18 PM
Gambling is harmless as long as it don't become an addiction. Getting addicted to gambling what makes it dangerous imo. People get addicted to various things every day. Smoking, drinking, gambling, chocolates, coffee, drugs... Gambling is just one of those bad habits. Like you said in the OP, there are various underlying reasons that make a person a gambling addict. They are mostly psychological.

A healthy family environment and a good education are usually enough to overcome being an addict.
I agree to you, As long as you can control things you can usually control you are not considered as an addict. If you cannot control vices or these bad habits, It is potentially dangerous in different ways and these are mostly on the physical and psychological side damages. There are many factors why people are getting addicted and the most common reason are on the finance side and stress. People are doing these vices or bad habits to release the tension they have on their selves and surely they can overlook it as harmless on the early stages but after they unconsciously repeating it, it could become uncontrollable thing which make it dangerous and possibly diagnose them as an addict.
1803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not Quitting only a break on: November 14, 2022, 06:29:33 PM
I've been a gambling addict before and I've tried various ways stop myself from not doing gambling and to be honest it's a very hard thing to do. Quitting suddenly is a very hard thing to do and I know that most who are addicted into gambling will just comeback and still gamble again, It's just full of lies. The method which works for me and I hope that someone too is by taking a break. I've started scheduling my gambling session and trying to resist playing until the day on my schedule and weeks by weeks, I've noticed that the urge of me not playing is lowering down until I've realized that I can gamble within my schedule without the urge of playing on my breaks. I did see that my control on things has been improved since then and I've recover from the addiction I have.

Telling yourself to stop instantly wouldn't be effective because of the urge around you and in the near future, I'm pretty sure that you will play again and do the same thing as If you didn't make a change at all. It is highly recommendable to do little breaks from time to time, It works for me and there is a high chance that it will work on you. It will take time but it will be worth it if you are willing to change.
1804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not your key not your coins is real, not just quoted. (FTX Issue) on: November 14, 2022, 06:01:33 PM
People are used to custodial wallets where a centralized authority guard and manage their money for them, so they should also accept the risk that come with that. We live in a world where lazy people want convenience and these central authorities offer that for them on a plate. (at a cost)

The people who use methods to store their coins, where they have full control over their Private keys... are the people who understand the risks associated with the use of custodial wallets. (They saw what happened in Cyprus, where the Banks took people's deposits and they also saw what happened with Mt Gox and all the other Exchanges that got hacked)  Roll Eyes
I think those people who are like that are a newbie in crypto and are used to centralization services but once they hang out more here and increase their crypto knowledge, that's the time they realize the importance of decentralization. They will realize that non-custodial wallets are the best wallet to use, not custodial and centralized exchanges.

If it's about convenience then I think decentralized platforms are a way to go because they don't require sign ups, they don't require KYC bull shits. They are just plug and play kind of a thing but if we are not organized then it will be a big problem because we can miss place our private keys.
This will be the time that they will realize that non-custodial wallet is important and the reason why many people are using it. It is expected that most newbies are using centralized wallet given the fact that centralized wallets are very easy to use and there's no hassle in buying and selling especially that there are so many features in it including those trading features. Though this incident should make them realize how prone it is for such hacks, funds locked and other common centralized problems. Actually I have friends who are only using custodial wallets and some of them are using exchange as their wallets, I just know this until they messaged me and I opened a topic about it when we are conversing. Of course my advise is given to them and I'm pretty sure they have their own non-custodial wallets now.
1805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto.com in trouble? on: November 14, 2022, 05:22:52 PM
I have been investing in Crypto.com , now known as Cronos, since March this year.

I see it has been falling in the last 24 hours as many are panicking it could be one of the next exchanges in trouble.

I have just tried to deposit some money onto my crypto.com account and it has left my bank but not reached my account and this was over half an hour ago now, it usually reaches my account in a few minutes.

Is there currently a problem with deposits??

What does everyone think about crypto.com is it in trouble or should be ok?

A lot of anomalies are happening to the crypto.com exchange that is sponsoring the world cup next week, which I know of:
1. Crypto.com has a dangerous reserve of assets, funny that an exchange as big as Crypto.com keeps more $SHIB than $ETH in its wallet. they are brave enough to put Resave from user in $SHIB even more than $ETH.
https://twitter.com/CryptoOMG88/status/1591232162531266562?s=20&t=5vHQfSvYS5SCUTkup3_dfA

2. in the last 2 weeks Crypto.com sent 320K ETH to Gate.io and then Gate.io sent back 280K $ETH.
Kris said what happened was the wrong transfer. this is a very very strange thing, big exchange crypto.com made a transfer error.
https://twitter.com/CryptoOMG88/status/1591629547111608320?s=20&t=5vHQfSvYS5SCUTkup3_dfA

3. I think CZ was insinuating what happened to crypto.com via his thread on Twitter.
https://twitter.com/cz_binance/status/1591690261029130240?s=20&t=ewlTiJgFK2GLUW0Ewx2XSg

a lot of anomalies have happened to the Crypto.com exchange in the past few weeks. I recommend being careful if you have assets on the exchange.
I've also seen some "influencers" saying to stay out of crypto.com as early as now as they have an intel about the solid proofs about crypto.com anomaly. I can't verify it myself knowing that I don't have the power to ask them about these proofs. Though it would be much safer to avoid them for now given that there are standing proofs about their anomaly and crypto.com is on hotseat right now. I'm pretty sure there are people who will be investigating them and they would be lucky if there's nothing to find out about them. They can easily go downfall if someone find out or leak their wrong doings just like what happened to FTX.
1806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The worst events in Crypto history on: November 14, 2022, 04:36:39 PM
OP that list is incomplete.

Where is OneCoin and Bitconnect?

MT.Gox is the cruellest one of them all, I have a question for you guys

If all these scandals can be happening with centralised exchanges what do you think the banking system will be hiding?

These whole secrets of FTX shows that every centralised sectors and banks can't be trusted either.

This was the main reason why BTC was created by Nakamoto in the first place.
I don't know what is OneCoin but I know the popular bitconnect and I think it shouldn't be included in the list given that it is a scam or a ponzi at the first place. The ones on the list is financial institutions and exchange scandals that make crypto worst events. Bitconnect is just using crypto to gather funds for their ponzi scheme, It is just different. MT.Gox could be the cruelest one but some funds are recovered and the rest is just history compared to other events that happened where hackers still haven't get caught. Well, All off these events contributes and the could be the result of bear market.
1807  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Union Bank - Sinimulan na ang Bitcoin at Ethereum Trading on: November 13, 2022, 05:06:08 PM
Totoo to. I have an experience with my recent bank account na na freeze yung savings account since they found a suspicious amount of money na naideposit ko na galing sa gambling site.

Haha.

Satingin ko nag trending to last year ata during the bull market, I'm not sure pero yun yung guess ko.

I hope Unionbank will hug crypto more kasi sila yung alam ko na pinaka crypto friendly according sa experience ko.
1808  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your opinion on casinos that don't have ANN threads in the forum? on: November 13, 2022, 04:32:47 PM
A casino doesn't need a ANN thread here to operate but it would be a big plus for them if they have a ANN Thread here. Just by posting your ANN thread here can be equivalent to free marketing. All of the casino that I play has an ANN thread here and It's much easier to pick where to play especially if the casino has a reputation here. Though I'm still playing on a certain casino that is long gone here in the forum, It means their ANN is inactive but their service is still running. It got my loyalty and I don't have any issue with them. I haven't seen a signature campaign that has no ANN thread. The casino ANN thread is usually included inside the signature of those participants.
1809  Economy / Gambling / Re: BC.Game-🔴🔴🔴BET RED IN CRASH!🔴🔴🔴 Find More Unique Games! on: November 13, 2022, 03:53:49 PM
Video verification is not the normal standard kyc procedures, it is a kind of kyc requirement they implement on special occasions, when they feel the need to, so don't expect to ever be asked to submit a video of your self if you didn't win a significant amount of money from the casino.
I've never heard about video verification for KYC procedures, the KYC requirements are for high withdrawals but have to prove myself in more detail for the eligibility to receive high pay from big wins, although it's not something difficult but video verification is better than selfie photo verification but no all agree for video verification, if for high withdrawal then I think chances are many users will comply with that requirement.

I have heard of sites implementing a video verification process but never encountered one on the sites I regularly use.
I think it's easier and convenient to implement an OTP in a selfie verification process.
There are sites which "need" such kind of harder verification process to secure their funds and there are some sites which use this verification to their advantage so that they can scam users.
BC.GAME is a trusted and reputed casino and has a large userbase which is why they need such verification methods.
I have the same case as you, I've heard from people that they are verifying thru skype which I think I can consider as a video verification. Haven't been on this video verification before in a gambling site. I guess casino has the right to have that kind of video verification cause it's harder to fake than selfie verification though it shouldn't be applied to ever of their customer. I guess that this could serve as their last verification to their suspicious customer. Applying it to everyone will surely a hassle not just on the casino but more on customer.
1810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People are going to realize the same thing about BNB and it makes me sick. on: November 13, 2022, 03:12:47 PM
This is possible but I think so far, CZ and his company have always been vocal and transparent about what is happening to their company. Say, the hacks that have happened to them. Some other exchanges won't admit that they've got weak security that turned that incident into hacking. But them, they're telling they've been hacked but with a guarantee that funds are safe through their SAFU. I'm not defending them but everyone of us must take care of the funds wherever we are depositing it which we do in centralized platforms. And IMO, this is going to be a new trend for these companies, they'll be obliged to show their proof of reserve.

After the problems associated with the bankruptcy of the FTX exchange, the number of Binance users will certainly increase. "In response to the collapse of FTX, Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, has released details of its cold wallet reserves, disclosing proof of digital asset holdings worth more than $69 billion." - https://www.binance.com/en/feed/post/53973 This will definitely affect the choice of the exchange, among those who had an FTX account or are just thinking of trading.
Of course binance will take advantage of the FTX collapse as other exchange would do. CZ knows the weakness of FTX and CZ of course utilize the happening on FTX flexing that they have this proof of reserve that other exchange do not. Obviously, People would go to binance since it is better and currently the top centralized exchange. Binance could possibly experience a big problem in the future and I hope that CZ knows what to do. We all don't want to lose exchanges one by one.
1811  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you sell Bitcoin anonymously without getting scammed? on: November 12, 2022, 03:53:04 PM
Since then, I haven't been able to sell my bitcoin into cash without having KYC on a part of it. The tools or platform are requiring KYC on my country for us to be able to use it properly. The platform that is use to sell is centralized and I'm usually using coins.ph for remittance or ATM cashout and Binance for p2p trading, These both requires KYC. And the one that is receiving the payment of the transaction which is cash is my e-wallets, bank account or remittance center. All of these requires KYC. There are other method that can be used like under the table transaction for p2p but I see it as much riskier and more work method. Or you can use other identity to cash out for you which also has it's own risk. I just sticked to my usual way of cashing out my BTC since I haven't had any issues with it and I've submitted KYC on the first place, There's not much harm to use it repeatedly as long as you are managing the amount you are cashing out.
1812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who are those people that you don't want them to know you are a gambler on: November 12, 2022, 02:46:28 PM
I didn't come to a point that I hide myself from being a gambler. It's ok for me to tell anyone that I'm a gambler but I don't like showing it off to everyone especially to strangers given that they might do bad things to me, It's just a precaution to myself and it is better to just stay low-key. But to my friends, They all know I gamble and I've experience giving advises to them because of their gambling activities or they are asking for help. They know that I had a hard past on gambling addiction and now they are ok with me playing gambling because they know that I've changed and fully control myself. I just remembered that there are times before that they are stopping me to play gambling because of addiction haha.
1813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Does Gambling/Casino Ads Help An Addicted Gambler Who Wants To Stop Gambling on: November 12, 2022, 01:49:03 PM
If we ban gambling adds because gamblers might see it and feel the need to gamble maybe we should ban models in swimsuits because sex addicts might feel the need to masturbate. Or let's ban food pictures because people with eating disorders will have a hard time.

Your addiction is yours to fight and control. You can't expect the whole world to help you with it. Don't ant to see ads? Lock yourself in a room and don't come out until you're healed.

Your statement makes sense.

Indeed, there are many disorders and addiction that could be triggered by seeing different images, advertisements, and the likes. Reading various posts that can instill trigger on your end can really affect your way of thinking and your behavior as well. This is because by being triggered, you relive your bad memories, habits, and even the drive to do things you've already given up long time ago.

While preventing triggers could be a good idea to save someone from misery, it should be reminded that your healing is your responsibility and it's not the responsibility of the people around you. You are responsible for your own person. Treatment from serious gambling addiction is one of the good ways to survive with lesser probability of having a relapse. I very much agree that a person's struggle in addiction is their fight. Other people surrounding them could only do so much and adjust to a certain extent, but it won't always happen because as harsh as this may sound, the world do not revolve around you and your battle.
It will sum up on how great you are on controlling yourself. If you conquer your addiction for few years, I'm pretty much sure you can still control yourself from different entities like advertisement whether it is so convincing, having good offer or putting you at the spot of playing. You get pass so many obstacle to lessen or remove your addiction, These obstacle you pass and you acquire will help you to become immune from the lust of trying it again. Advertisements are created to lure you as a potential user into their offerings and it will all boils down to you how motivated you are not to get caught on that advertisement.
1814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is your lost from FTX collapse on: November 12, 2022, 01:16:40 PM
Nothing Nada Zero.

I don't have an FTX account and I don't own any FTT that's why I don't lost anything. Though it affects the market and of course me from the latest dump which FTX is one of the factors why we experienced this market dump right now. I didn't sell anything that's why I still considered myself having no loss at the moment. People started becoming aware on how dangerous storing their assets on a centralized exchange after this FTX incident. It's not bad to use a CEX we should just make sure not to store crypto there especially that things happens so fast.
1815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who will win, FTX or BINANCE? on: November 11, 2022, 05:50:14 PM
I don’t know who will win, but I just feel like if the CEO of the biggest crypto exchange fudds about competitors, we all gonna loose.

It looks like the answer is already known.  FTX already filed a bankruptcy while Binance is still staying strong.  Before that bankruptcy Binance somehow thinks to aid or buy the failing FTX  but due to some regulation issue, CZ back out which result of massive mess in FTX financing.  And about the FUD thing, I do not think CZ statement is FUD, CZ just stated the fact and the things he planned to do with his FTT holdings, now those who have malicious intent turned that statement into FUD.

CZ sure has an intention of saving FTX but yeah even if CZ doesn't want to spread FUD to the community, The community takes it as a FUD even CZ is just stating the facts and the result of his tweets steered the market. Everyone knows that CZ has a massive holdings and even if CZ sell it bit by bit it will affect the volume of FTT which I guess triggers the FTT holders to sell. FTX is a goner now and It will be put in the history along with LUNA. There's a small chance of FTX being recovered and their customers will surely not use FTX again if ever FTX survive their own catastrophe.

Recently the extended battle pass from dota 2 release the part 2 and most of the people awaiting this event for the CM arcana and the OG image of the razor and of course the awaiting set for vote for the cache most of the Snapfire and Marci is the most beautiful right there did you vote already and what did you expect the ultra rare with this set?. For me Marci set are all win win hoping they open these in the market.
Marci set is pretty hype man and I love it as well. I have a feeling that marci set would be the ultra rare set, Well it's the first time that dota embraced that kind of design. I've also seen comments that it was inspired from league of legends which is I agree into since I also play league before. Dota has been hyping things up from what they are giving away this recent TI. Free battle pass, Free arcana and free dota plus! What a generous offer from dota. Dota obviously want their old players to return to play dota again and I think that the timing was great because of the TI happening that time.
1817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Capital during sudden crashes on: November 11, 2022, 03:16:46 PM
But in some time as long as the market is still on a negative trend it actually scares the holders. those of us who are attacked by FUD in several times have the potential to sell assets, FOMO is very difficult to look for because of the thin hype in the trend. we now see that FUD is even easier to deploy.
In a bear market like this. FUD is more prominent since most of the whales in this time want to continue the bear market given that they will re-enter the market and reinvest the profits they gained during the bull market. FOMOing on this kind of market scenario will be inefficient since most of the people are thinking negative in cryptocurrency after they lost money on the start of bear market. I'm doing DCA today and at the same time I'm also trying to capitalize the sharp dips and big FUD events in crypto just like what happened this week between CZ and FTX.
1818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are crypto devs so greedy on: November 11, 2022, 02:45:02 PM
The majority of crypto collapse always comes from the centralisation part and of cos the human greed, what do you think is the proper solution for these? To avoid hurting crypto investors and how to guarantee that their funds is safe with any platform, either Staking, Lending or Trading.

What is the way forward? What solution do you think will be effective?
Everything has risk especially on crypto even coins that aren't supposed to lose value like stable coins is now being depegged. I believe that it doesn't matter if it's a centralized or decentralized project, It's how the devs and the project team handle the project they have and how they run things inside their project. Sometimes devs are just getting pressured on is currently happening on the market and this what triggers them to abandon or lose hope in the project they are doing.

This is not a problem for a solid whale that usually bet this huge amount but remember that they are not getting anything such as rakeback & cashback on all of there bets aside from this tournament bonus. You will understand what I’m saying if you try to compete on tournament for a higher spot.

Just in, The website is already updated there UI and the upcoming feature is already visible on the website. This will answer already all our concerns because they are adding new cool feature to rewards all there loyal players and high rollers aside from the tournament reward.

This x40 wager requirement is already acceptable once the VIP reward will be available for all the players that wagering in the casino. So far this new features is on coming soon status but it will be available very soon.

The new website has a cool UI. It gives me a goosebumps.
Yoooo, I just checked the UI I really like it a lot! It's pretty cool compared to the old design. There are a significant design upgrades here and I've also seen some new functions like the raffle and elite seats which I guess whales are the one who will be sitting there. I've also seen the new referral site, It's like a cyber themed website I like it! We can also see our current free spins now and the limits of it. But I think there are still some errors regarding to it like the "time until next free spin" part on my account. I think it's a bug or some unfinished work but yeah for me it's a minor one.

I am hoping that after your account gets banned by repeating this copypaste, you won't leave thinking that bitcointalk is somehow against free speech and suppressing your criticism.

He is probably in denial he lost his money to this casino, I assume it was money he needed in long term, otherwise he would have moved on already and learnt he is being ignored on purpose, typical modus operandi of these people behind devious businesses. I hope whatever he is doing does not end up being considered to be spam and does not get banned, who knows; he may learn his lesson sooner than later and become an actual good member of this community, helping others not to commit his own past mistakes, but in order for him to keep his account he should exit his denial state as soon as possible.
We can't do anything about it since it is proven that 1xbit is a scam casino for a long time. Even if a victim posted and just copy paste his accusation here for many times it won't be effective in claiming the victims funds since 1xbit has too many outstanding accusation and there's no sign of them wanting to solve it. Sooner or later he will accept the fact that he got scam by this notorious scam casino and be able to move on. This could be a big lesson to the victim knowing that the money he lost is very important to him given the fact that he is determined to get back his money. Sorry for the loss, I hope that you wouldn't repeat your post victims. There are many like you here but they earned nothing but sad facts about 1xbit.
