801  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin trading be my sole source of income? on: June 28, 2023, 04:48:31 PM
As a young person, I am overwhelmed by my curiosity in trading Bitcoin, but I'm not sure if it is appropriate for me to resign my white collar work and return to trading exclusively Bitcoin.

This was a conversation a buddy of mine and I had yesterday, and I felt compelled to bring it to this illustrious platform for the best types of advice and counsel.

Is it safe for a Bitcoin trader to quit their jobs and focus solely on Bitcoin trading if they can devote their time and attention to maximize the benefits in the Bitcoin world?

Focusing on Bitcoin trading can indeed be profitable, but it depends on market conditions, and the best option that can minimize the risk of loss is to prioritize trading in the long term
If you decide to leave the main job that you currently have, I think it's an incorrect decision and very risky, because relying on day trading on Bitcoin is quite difficult to be able to make a profit

The stability in trading compared to your stable job is very different because in trading there are really times that you are in loss, unlike in your job, which is a stable one. That is why others are making trading their side hustle because they can do both: go to work and trade after work. Though there are really professionals that are quitting their jobs, they have already established a profit, which means they have recorded that in the past few years they have been in profit even though the market is very bad.
I agree, this is why we can only see few people who are considering trading as their full time job. Those who are doing trading as their full time jobs knows the risk and the scenarios they might because of the experience they have. Winning a few times doesn't mean you are good enough to consider quitting your stable job and just doing trading. We have different cases in life but if we have a stable job, don't quit it and make a very careful decision if you are planning to do trading as your main job. Trading is a very good side hustle indeed but doing it full time is not for everyone since you can consider yourself aware of the whole market scenario 24/7 which is strenuous to some people.
802  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Met Beautiful Young Asian Woman On Dating Site To Teach Me Trading on: June 28, 2023, 04:25:27 PM
I wonder what happened to OP after reading all of the post here. I hope he didn't pursued with the woman he talk on a dating site. There are too many red flags and one of them is teaching how to trade on a dating site? Such a weird way situation. I believe that there is a scam motive in here so be careful since scammers are being clever nowadays, imagine finding a victim on a dating site where majority of the users there don't know how to trade and this girl explained and show OP how easy to get profit on crypto in just 60 seconds. Absolute bs to be honest.
803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Return Of Terra Luna Classic on: June 28, 2023, 03:54:31 PM
Nope. I don't think it will be a good comeback to them no matter what offer they will do to the public. Even if they fixed their old problem which cause the crash, I don't think that the public will still invest in it after the past incident happened. So many people lost their money on it and it is a very miserable trauma for someone. I believe that it is smarter to re-brand it and not be affiliated with tokens that are well known due to it's massive failure. I just don't think it's a good idea to invest or to revive a failed project.
804  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Salamat sa Bitcointalk forum on: June 28, 2023, 03:24:47 PM
805  Local / Pilipinas / Re: May Mga Influencer Ba Tayo Na Tutok Sa Cryptocurrency? on: June 26, 2023, 04:36:56 PM
Halos lahat ng big groups is may inflencers at streamers. As of now karamihan sakanila is di na nag cocontent about crypto especially streamers pero meron mangilan ngilan na educational content talaga ang focus at hinding hindi sila mawawalan ng content given na moving forward palagi ang crypto.
806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What crypto porfolio trackers are people using? on: June 26, 2023, 03:54:42 PM
For the sake of accesibility and comfort, I'm using coinmarketcap app as a tracker to my phone. I'm using an IOS and their widgets is pretty handy in my case. I know that they can pull out our data anytime this is why I don't indicate the whole amount of investment I have. I do remove one decimal point of my total assets just to be safe. There are better portofolio app out there but coinmarketcap app is just so handy for ke, just like coin gecko app which is what I'm using before.
807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which campaign is better? Bounty campaign or Signature campaign? on: June 26, 2023, 03:15:40 PM
in 2017 bitcointalk signature campaign is on its top performance, many investor looking in to our signature to define where to put their money. but so many scam project or failed project. now it is still useful for link building for your project because bitcointalk is the oldest forum for crypto related. and this is why i am still and still reading new reference from here.
I believe that it's the bounty campaign who is prominent at that time since every projects at that time has gotten its value rising after being listed on an exchange. Bounty campaign slowly degraded after it enters the bear market where more and more project has become a scam and bounty participants lose their will do join knowing that they can't gain something from it. Signature campaign is average at that time but big gainers comes from bounty campaign as far as I remember because I joined some bounties.
808  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A bitcoin retirement plan with a disturbing length of years. on: June 25, 2023, 06:06:51 PM
I have this colleague of mine at workplace who is a bitcoin enthusiast just like me. Often times at work when we're less occupied with our job we kind of spend such moment's  discussing about bitcoin generally. Two days ago he was telling me about his plans to start buying BTC with 20% of his salary every month for the rest of the years he has to retirement that's when he will then take it all. And based on the company total years of service he has 16 years left to his retirement.

With the way he was talking to me about it he appears to know exactly what he's about to do and how its going to end for him. But for me his idea has left some apprehension and questioning in my head due to the length of years (good 16 years) he is going to keep up with. From my angle the years are too much as no one can certainly say for sure about what the future of cryptocurrency and bitcoin holds despite how positive it could be looking today.

In my opinion I wanted to talk to him with a logical conclusion why he should reduce the length of years, not to do it at a stretch of straight 16years he has in mind without applying risk management technique, maybe by splitting those 16years into four interjecting years. As in he should in every 4 years be taking 50% of whatever total amount plus profit  till it gets to the 16years he planned. At least in worst case scenario this method could save him something reliable to fall back onto.

How do you guys think about this idea of mine for my colleague? Can it really be helpful to him in the long run or it may just obstruct his original plan killing the whole idea?  Please all opinions are entertained but whatever your opinion might be, also try to put the length of years involved into consideration.(16 years)
Your friend is a true bitcoin supporter if he really did this kind of thing. 16 years is pretty long and there are so many things that will happen in this 16 years of time. At this time, it's either bitcoin is at it's downfall or bitcoin is at a price that we don't really expect that it can be that high. There's a risk but I guess your friend really believes that bitcoin will conquer the future and it will bring a positive impact in his life. He might even broke his plan and do other things like doing other things to increase the amount of bitcoin he has. I believe it is a DCA strategy that your friend planned but doing it for 16 years? It's pretty hard core in my opinion. Most of us wants a profit and there is a possibility that your friend might be contented with the profit he will have in the future.
809  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: My Defi Pet - DeFi meets NFT on: June 25, 2023, 05:27:08 PM

Well ganun talaga pag nasa trend.
810  Local / Pilipinas / Re: T-Shirt Business For Bitcoin Adoption Profitable Ba on: June 25, 2023, 05:01:42 PM

Marami din silang benta that time na axie connected like plushies, stickers, keycaps and axie inspired lamps. Sa next bull run maraming mag kakapera niyan since tumaas yung assets nila at for sure marami din maeenganyo bumili ng apparels ng current trend. Wag ka lang ma late sa pag benta like nung bored ape merch dito sa pinas na may equivalent NFT, I believe na di masyadong nag hit yun given na humina na yung hype ng NFTs that time.
811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What tips you will give to a new investor to identify scam projects early ? on: June 25, 2023, 04:32:22 PM
First thing I research first if I found the project interesting is about the project team members. We don't want project team members who don't have any experience in doing things or at least have no achievements to present in the community. Second thing is deep checking their project white paper to see their plans and problems to be solved. Third is their road map. You need your personal decision to identify if their project goal is achievable in that certain amount of time because not achieving it at that time means that the potential of them losing their token value in the long run is high. Though if you think that the team members and project roadmap is fake that they get to the point that they plagiarize it and if it is too good to be true, then you can identify it as a scam project.

Even if you identify the project as a legit project, there still a chance that they are just a good scammer. It always happen, just be careful. Remember to not invest in too good to be true projects cause it is probably a scam project.
812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Introducing Altcoin (ATC), Ethereum's alternative to Bitcoin on: June 25, 2023, 03:58:23 PM
Altcoin (ATC) brings the best features of Bitcoin to the Ethereum network, offering holders an alternative digital currency built on the most robust ecosystem in the space. Altcoin is Ethereum's answer to Bitcoin, as it provides the same fixed supply of 21 million, allowing for ATC to serve as the store of value asset and digital cash for the Ethereum network. ATC is completely decentralized, with a renounced contract, no VCs or team tokens, and no control over it by any centralized entity.

Claiming that you are an alternative to bitcoin had been done repeatedly already and most of them had been treated as a shitcoin and most of them are dead projects right now. I believe that if you want to do a real project, don't make a bitcoin alternative since it's been tried several times already and no one successfully achieved it. At least make your own blockchain and not do it on ethereum chain which is actually defeats the purpose of being a bitcoin alternative. I honestly don't think that this project will get some funds in the public if ever you make a crowd sale or other type of sale.
813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trade altcoins during the bull run or just hodl? on: June 24, 2023, 06:16:00 PM
Everyone does a lot, it varies depending on how busy each person is, there are those who hold back until the bull market comes like me who did that. Moreover, I trade part time depending on the market situation. Also, if the market drops again, I buy more to add to my long term investment
I believe OP is saying during the bull market. It is expected that most of the good tokens in the market will continue to pump, if there's a drop, it will recover quickly as I noticed in the past bull market. I'm guessing that I will do small time future trades given that the market is going on an uptrend and the chance of getting profit from futures is high. Though this is depending on our trading skills, there might be people who will actually get some loss trading especially for the newbies in the market. The market is uptrend during the bull market but there are other factors that contribute to losing such as their trading psychology.
814  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: June 24, 2023, 05:09:50 PM

The forum's environment will truly improve when they completely leave which won't anytime soon in my opinion.
I will advise you to check their recent activities here in the forum and you will notice that their presence here has been lowered greatly and this is something we must commend ourselves for, 1xbit indeed tried for a long time to promote their scheme here in the forum knowing fully well that the forum doesn't regulate scams but we as member always kick against it and by tagging any scam or scammer if noticed.
At this moment 1xbit has zero presence here in the forum because both the admin and their signature promoters have become inactive over the past weeks and if that continues then in no time we will have their total departure from the forum.

Hopefully, It could be wishful thinking. But there is a good enough chance they realized their reputation is completely ruined here and there is no reason for them to continue to be around. Even better for anyone honestly interested in getting rid of them.
Though, I would not be surprised if they decided to appear again in the future, I think we all already heard that saying on bad weeds, they are difficult to completely get rid of...
I hope that this forum cause them to have slow revenues because on how bad they look in this forum. They have been flagged for a long time now and they still continue to do some rounds of their signature campaign. There's still a chance that they will still continue promoting in this forum but the marketing effect to them in promoting here is the opposite because of how bad of a reputation they have in this forum. This is an open forum and scammers has also a freedom to post here but we arguably don't tolerate it as we don't like to see people being scammed.
815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How quick do altcoins pump in bull run? on: June 24, 2023, 03:52:49 PM
You are just risking too much. You are investing to get rich real quick. What if the coins that you invested in doesn't "pump" up at all? Yeah, altcoins to pump up a lot in bull run, but also dumps very quickly, and you might not even get a chance to  sell your coins. Crypto currency investment is not a get rich quick scheme. You should be investing for long term and should invest in coins that aren't there just to be pumped and dumped (like meme coins). Why take such risks? The chances of you end up losing everything is very high if you go for such coins.
From my experience, those altcoins who experience having massive pumps don't usually dumps that fast because it's a bull market. I believe that OP is just asking how fast does it pumps on majority of the coin and not on those coins that don't really pump at all during a bull market. I believe that OP plans to invest long term given that he is in year one of investing and I believe that he plan to continue it up until the bull market. OP didn't indicate the altcoin he choose in his post and I don't know why you are being so negative with this post.
816  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why do you still want to play fake web2 casinos? Why we choose web3 casinos on: June 24, 2023, 03:26:06 PM
Since we are blessed enough to have the opportunity to use either the web2 or web3 casino gambling, we cannot arrived at the conclusion that one is fake over the other because they both serve different aspects under same purpose for better gambling experience for it users, there's no doubt that many of them have already upgraded to the web 3 technology because they realizes that it's what people want more these current dispensation.

I doubt that the majority of the casino upgraded to web3 technology as in the real web which casino use smart contracts for a decentralized betting. Most of web3 application done by the casinos are just the application of web3 wallets to login on the casino but the rest of the experience is still web2 since they still offer same centralized game coming from 3rd party provider.

Web2 casino is still the best in terms of user experience because most of the providers is using wbe2 to have a better game design that is not limited to blockchain.
Web3 casinos will still be supervised by the government so that if many gamblers, big or small, visit the casino, the government can ask the casino to implement verification for all of its members. This is possible because the government doesn't want to pass up the opportunity to get more tax from the gambling industry.

I guess people are also still using web2, but they know the casino they want, and it's not a scam casino. Those who use these casinos have done a good search to find the right one.
This is what I'm thinking. I'm sure that government will find a way to tax gambler or worst completely ban the things that they cannot control such as decentralized casino. If somehow web3 casinos become a norm in the future and web2 casino is already losing it's traction, Government will surely implement things that they will gain something from knowing that the tax money they are getting from casino is getting smaller and smaller. I know we are heading to web3 but government makes me worries about the possible implementation that they can do to overall web3. It might be a revolution that we come to the point that government can't do anything to web3 platforms.
817  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: June 24, 2023, 02:59:08 PM
All works of art have their own complexities, and it would be much better if an artist could master them all. I'm sure there are people who have that kind of ability, but what I've seen right now is that it's rare to see people with such multitalent.
It's extremely rare to see someone capable of mastering all forms of art to be honest since mastering one form itself takes a lot of time. Certain prodigies are capable of mastering them all.

Such prodigies usually focus on earning big money and don't waste their time with small contests.
Well it's amazing to see people who is capable of more than five art styles, what more if everything. Art needs practice for us to be good and I believe that every art forms is trainable but being good at all is a whole different level. This is why I support roobet after they offer different categories of art since not everyone excels on a digital drawing art. We all have different fortes and I believe that having only one competition disregards other line of art. I'm not an artist this why I believe that having multiple art styles is amazing.
818  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Bitcoin in Student Life on: June 23, 2023, 06:32:29 PM
A friend suggested Bitcoin to me about 1 year ago. I have been trying to learn the history of Bitcoin ever since. How to earn from Bitcoin, I learned that investing will make profit or loss. Success can never be achieved without risk. Then I became interested in investing in Bitcoin. My family is a very poor family. I am studying now and earning BDT 7000 per month from tuition, BDT 3000 I spend on running my household. BDT 3000 is my monthly expenses and I save BDT 1000, I save around BDT 10000 in a year and invest in Bitcoin. I will hold the investment for a long time. According to many researchers, we will soon see a bull market. Bitcoin will be over $100K in 2025

But the main thing is that bitcoin is still illegal in our country, I invested bitcoin very carefully.

Lately I think it is better to invest in bitcoins than depositing money in the bank. Day by day people have lost trust in banks. It is heard that many banks are going bankrupt and closing down.
I guess that it will be difficult for you to buy bitcoin even if you have money. Personally I won't take a risk on buying small amount of bitcoin if it is banned on my country unless the government is not actively seeking offenders and of course has an alternative way that you cannot be exposed on buying bitcoin or crypto. Buying bitcoin as a student is I believe a good move instead of putting it into banks, you should deep dive into learning how bitcoin economy works, I'm sure that you will be encourage more but don't rely on speculations that it will be a $100k in 2025. It's still a wild speculation but we never know when bull run arrives.
819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why People Still Gamble? on: June 23, 2023, 05:34:29 PM
If a gambler goes to take revenge after a gambling loss, he will panic and face a bigger loss. revenge can be taken in all cases but it is foolish to think of taking revenge in gambling. the only real trick to getting better at gambling is to relax and take breaks from gambling and always accept the limit. If they are not followed, only then the loss is certain
This is indeed a system that is set at every casino or online gambling such as slot machines, most of the victims are those who are not mentally and psychologically strong so most of them will return with the aim of revenge for past defeats. There is nothing to gain from gambling, even if someone gets a win it will only be temporary and later they will return to it with high hopes and confidence because they believe the win will come again like in the past. This is the reason why they can get addicted, winning makes them happy and will bring happiness, and losing will make them emotional and feel unacceptable then they will continue to do it regardless of how much money they spend until they get what they want.
It's what the thrill is. There are gamblers who seeks the adrenaline rush they can get from playing on a casino betting their money. The money they win and the entertainment they get are the one pushing them to play more. Though, doing revenge trading is not an entertaining way to do gambling in my opinion. Doing revenge gambling is expressing emotions such as anger, frustration and other negative emotions which is basically doesn't contribute on the entertainment you normally get from playing.
820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Join Pi Network and be a part of the crypto revolution on: June 23, 2023, 04:42:15 PM
I don't know why some people still feel Pi is a big deal, we have billions of tokens already mined and if it is going to trade at the price people are speculating it would be higher in marketcap than Bitcoin, where in the world are they going to get that amount of money to support the price unless it is a project of a nation-state. I still believe Pi Network is a social experiment maybe a pilot project for some form of Universal Basic Income (UBI), I hope the project does well for the sake of some people but I don't see how.
As if they are speculating that there are so many people who want to buy it as much as bitcoin has. I believe that the coins mined on their application is impossible to actually be in an exchange unless their team make a decision to create a token that has an equal supply that their supporters virtually mined. It's a pain staking job that I expect will result into a useless coin. Everyone will sell as there are people who are itching to make it into cash because I believe that majority of the community of Pi had just recently entered crypto and has no idea on whats really going on.
