They dont accept most of the coins right now. They dont accept Doge and Peercoin for example. ZCCoin and Namecoin also.

1802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Datacoin] Datacoin blockchain start announcement (Minor code upd + logo) on: January 02, 2014, 03:41:33 PM
DTC needs more promotion, bounties and services. The front page is filled with DOGE and other stuff so I wouldn't be surprised if over half of the people on the forum didn't even know what DTC is.

This coin absolutely feels like it's on the backburner, not due to its creator or anyone trying to help promote it, but just because it hasn't been picked up by many exchanges.  We're seeing coins like MOON getting extreme hype and being listed on exchanges in 12 hours, while we sit here 6 weeks later with very little movement.

It feels dead. I'll probably dump most of what I still have and leave a tiny bit for insurance.

I might be a believer and i am still buying at lows. This coins isnt moon, earthcoin and dogecoin that are only for the hype. This coins has some real values and is on its infancy yet. And of course its unknown when most are monitoring retarded coins and losing money on pumps and dumps.

If you want to try to get rich fast then yes go to those coins. Bet on whatever comes out today. This coin is not for that purpose.

1803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Problems with the "(even more) optimized version of cpuminer" on: January 02, 2014, 02:08:47 PM
I thought that coinedup stopped their pools. Maybe thats why.

[Miner Status] All mining pools are now permanently offline. The websites are still up so you can still withdraw your earnings.

1806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: (DTC) Digital Ocean VPN Guide For Mining Datacoin At First New Pool on: January 02, 2014, 11:02:35 AM
This pool seems to have been messing around this morning- of 3 machines mining the shares are only showing for 1 of them on the website http://dtc.gpool.net/user/[payout address] and payout was thus correspondingly low. The other 2 are running multi core jobs so am wondering if this might be the issue. Either that or the pool have decided to charge 68% fees ;-)

I dont really know. I am mining in the other pool currently to divert the power to the small one. It isnt good for only 1 pool to have most of the mining power.

What i have noticed though is that sometimes you are getting very slow income while others time i get like 100 times more income. This though happens for a few minutes up to an hour max. i suppose pool pays back what owns or something...dunno.

Edit: Yes you can if you go down of the page of your thread it says move topic
1808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [UPD][XPM] PrimeCoin Miner - CPU [Windows only][x86 only][pre-alpha][+28% perf.] on: January 02, 2014, 12:23:57 AM
this for Datacoin?
1809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best CPU coin to mine? on: January 02, 2014, 12:19:45 AM
I like ProtoShares, because it's really only CPU coin.
All cpu coin as XPM, QRK, SRC and other you can dig them with a GPU.
Even MMC creators said MemoryCoin 2.0 would be resistant to GPU, but now it has a GPU miner and the difficulty jump to the sky.
Try PTS mining on ypool.

Primecoin and Datacoin cannot be mined with GPU. It is impossible right now gpu mining for them to be more efficient than CPU

didn't Satoshi premined BTC ?

Refail.

why ?
blocks are being found.. diff is getting high enough but not too much

ur client not working?

Cause once again you premined this shit

Roll Eyes

The OP clearly stated in the first 2 sentences:
Quote
I made this coin just for having a coin for my friends and me
its not my intention to put it on exchange or make any profit from this.

But he also made an innovation. What's yours? ?
1811  Local / Ελληνικά (Greek) / Re: eDrahma development on: December 31, 2013, 08:00:12 PM
That being said θα κάνω ευχαρίστως mining τις πρώτες μέρες απλά για να dumpάρω όποτε εποκτήσει όποια αξία.

Νομίζω αυτό τα λέει όλα. Μην κάνετε όνειρα. Το 99.9% των alt coins είναι μόνο για pre-mine και για pump and dump.
Με λίγη τύχη το edrachma θα μπορούσε να γίνει το επόμενο doge ή quark δηλαδή αλλά τίποτα παραπάνω.

+1

1814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [DATACOIN] Brainstorming - Giveaway! on: December 31, 2013, 02:38:02 PM
I read about what the new Earthcoin forum is doing and I believe Netcoin(NET) did the something similar. When you make a post, new topic etc you are credited a small amount of coins to your account. Since the DTC forum is need of more traffic we could try something similar? It seems to me it is a good incentive for new adopters/users.

-From EAC forum; "Here is a quick overview: posting, replying, uploading media, updating profiles, making friends, joining groups, writing Docs and Wikis, and sending invites all give rewards. Deleting posts and replies, and having posts marked as spam deduct from your earnings."

I have no idea what it would take to "code" this into the forum(IDK if I'm even using the right words). Giveaways take time and cost quite a lot. Giving user a small amount like this is a self-driven process after it has been "coded", except for the moderation of spam. No double checking user accounts on bitcointalk, no checking twitter for replies, no checking to see if the wallet-address is used over and over for more coins.

For example; 0.05DTC per action = 1DTC per 20 actions. As time goes by and more users registers, the reward can be lowered until there is enough activity on the forum and the reward is 0 Smiley 0.05 might be too much, I am not experienced with how much traffic this could generate.

just a thought.

Excellent idea! I totally support this idea! Its better than giving coins for free that people are selling straight afterwards!

The forum must grow a bit. I have some ideas afterwards like what peercoin is doing with peervolunteers...

Anyway because of the current days everything is slow. I hope from next week we are startng more aggresive Cheesy

1816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] NSACoin coming soon -- The coin that DDOS's you everytime you find a block on: December 31, 2013, 01:55:21 AM
I find this kinda lulz but this is illegal (in the usa and odds are most other sane places).

If this gets big, expect the FBI to start raiding peoples homes.

You can not consent to a DDOS, that is unless you own your own ISP.

or unless if you dont live in US
1817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins are officially pumped and dumped? on: December 31, 2013, 12:23:10 AM

Isnt it obvious yet that they only use the first Hype and then noone cares? They dont have something innovative. When the noobs buy at big prices its over. And then the next one. Meanwhile people that lost money are still circlejerking with DOGE and more circlejerking is coming with earthcoins, mooncoins, catcoins etc...

just wait and see.

1818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins are officially pumped and dumped? on: December 31, 2013, 12:00:23 AM
all scrypt coins
1819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Memorycoin GPU miner and question about CPU mining on: December 30, 2013, 11:17:44 PM
I think the only ones right now are Primecoin and Datacoin. Due to their special mining algorithm its extremely difficult to mine with GPU. Personally i mine Datacoin.

All the others already can be mined with VGA or will be mined in a few days-weeks
1820  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: Interest in a GPU Group Buy? on: December 30, 2013, 11:07:30 PM
