but the point is it would make things easier to link to different sections using a easy to remember addresses That's something your webbrowser can remember for you. If I type "Meta", it knows where I want to go. If I type "Service", I get the 3 most likely options even before I finish typing the word.

Our servers are located outside the jurisdiction of ~ most EU countries. What does this mean exactly? I, for example, am outside most EU countries, simply because I can be inside only one country at a time. Does this mean your servers are located inside the jurisdiction of at least one EU country?

Basically who here would picket the Kremlin with a sign that says "fuck you Putin end the war"
Not many of us, so why ask theymos to protest against multiple governments. That reminds me of an offer I received years ago for my avatar: 0.01 a week
Cryptohunter is a cunt. All it needs to say, biggest font possible sir please sir I rejected it. For the same reason I'd reject your suggested sign: I think the forum would be a less nice place if we go down this path. One way or another, it would lead to drama.

Yeah looks like DDOS. Not much I can do about that. As I said in the other thread, the forum is full of deranged trolls with nothing better to do. BPIP is only known or useful to bitcointalkers so no one else would have any interest in bringing it down. Could it be the DDOS started after this post? by the way - can you or @ibminer update the donators page in bpip Call me paranoid, but it could be related.

What are medics telling you about this? Last time I went to the GP, he told me to see for 2 weeks. That's 3.5 weeks ago, it feels useless to call them again. I guess it is impacting many aspects of your life as well. It is. I checked with my GP again, he has no idea what's going on, so I'm in for more testing. This will happen before Christmas, but the results might take longer. Who knows, maybe I'm all okay again before getting the results. That would be the best case scenario

Many of them look like outright scams. Not in the "bcash is a scam" way, but they look like actual malware sites or MLM schemes. Incredible. That's because many wallets are scams. People have lost their Bitcoins by installing malware infected wallets while trying to claim some Forkcoins.

Thanks again for your flawless timing!
I just woke up....... Feeling worse again, that makes it 11.5 weeks and counting. Every time I think I'm getting a bit better, I feel more ill again. So I'll continue my time on the couch now, before I switch to my time in bed.

BSV Looks like a dead ecosystem. The main website looks like bizarre propaganda for CSW, with little to no information about the technology. There is an electron fork that doesn't look maintained. Only have binaries available for Windows and Mac. No AppImage or deb file for Linux, have to build from source. Tried to build from source but it only supports up to Python 3.9.X. Tried to build with 3.10 but lots of errors. Doesn't look widely supported on exchanges and for the pittance I would be collecting here, my time is worth more than this. To quote myself: It's the most annoying one with the shittiest wallet software You can use the lack of replay protection to create a signed transaction on a BCH wallet, then broadcast it on the BSV chain. Here's how I did it: BSV's lack of replay protection was once again the solution to my problem This is how I recovered BSV that was sent to pubkey (many years ago): - First, move BCH and eCash to a new address
- Install a fresh spare laptop (with VPN of course)
- Download the full BCH client (the one Forked from Bitcoin Core) (note: I do not trust this software, but used CoinMarketCap.com to find the "official" website)
- Import the pubkey, let it synchronize the first few years (until the coins show up, but before they are sent out (after all, you should have moved your BCH out of this address already))
- Take it offline
- Import the private key
- Create a raw transaction to a new address (this transaction won't be valid on the BCH chain, but will work on the BSV chain). Just in case, I used a legacy address
- Copy the transaction to a USB stick
- Check it (I used BCH's Electrum Fork for this, in a VM), and broadcast it online on the BSV network
- Use another device to broadcast the transaction on the BSV network. I used https://whatsonchain.com/broadcast (on Tor)
- Wipe the laptop (don't let it go online again after you entered the private key!)
Or maybe your coins moved already when you moved coins on the other chain.

If we ban Jambler, we should ban Google as well. Tempting! Can we add all social media to the list as well? They're clearly used to advertise scams
|
|

it would've meant that a bitcointalk user reported it, which doesn't make sense. Phishing sites went as far as sending Google a DMCA takedown for the real site, claiming the real site copied their site. I wouldn't rule anything out.

Service providers should not be banning people for posting links to resources Now you're looking at it from a moral point of view. That doesn't matter for (most) businesses, which means some providers will be more restrictive than others.

I would like to clarify that the article is based on official data provided by various wallets, and our aim was to present this information in a neutral and factual manner. We did not seek to refute or confirm the anonymity claims of each wallet, but rather to provide the public with the information available. This has to be the dumbest thing I've read today. You literally called it Top Picks, which suggests there's more behind it than "they say they're the best". I'd like to remind everyone that the main purpose of this forum thread is to discuss and share experiences related to the use of ~ You brought up anonymous wallets, and if you give bad recommendations, you can expect to be called out here. If you don't want that, don't post about it.

If you really want to keep this shitcoin: create a good old paper wallet with a legacy Bitcoin address. Don't use any of the scam websites, you could just use Bitcoin Core or Electrum to create a legacy Bitcoin address. Back it up, and send your BSV there. That takes the rush out of your January deadline.

Support Agent: I have checked the reason of your hosting plan suspension is due to abuse: Illegal Activity. Here is the main point of the suspension: the website https://bitmixlist.com currently allocated under your hosting is promoting money-laundering services and prohibited entities within jurisdictions of European Union, United States of America and others that adhere to complying with OFAC/SDN, FATF and other international anti-money laundering regulation protocols. From their perspective, I think this makes sense. It's simply not worth the risk for them. Support Agent: At the moment, should you wish to make the website active again you would need to provide the business registration document. If you do not have any, you can register your business to the government and provide the document to the provided form. This is weird. Why would the same thing they deemed illegal be okay after you register a business with some government somewhere? Also, I have a reason to suspect, that the suspension was done automatically by a robot, and that no staff had actually read the website. This is the part I was curious about: it didn't take long to be taken down. It's about liability. They get away with running Tor nodes, and they must host enough of them to make it worth it. I had received explicit permission from their compliance team Have you contacted Audris again?

Even more reason why this should not be banned from bitcointalk. On the contrary, this is one of the reasons listed by theymos for banning mixers: ~ allowing them has become too risky/problematic, and it's only going to get worse. Imagine ~ our service providers suddenly banning us due to being "associated" with mixers
|
|
|
I'm a little curious, but how is this percentage determined? My guess is it's a guess In English: an educated guess. In Dutch: natte vinger werk (lick your finger, stick it up, and feel how windy it is). Is there an application for that, and what does the algorithm look like by which something abstractly like this is converted into percentages? The good thing is that he didn't put his hand in anyone's wallet Good point. Even though it seems crazy to destroy his reputation this way, at least it's (more or less) victimless.

Non-promotionally linking to a mixer's ANN thread will be allowed, whether or not it's a defunct mixer. I don't know, but banning signatures and all promotional activities would be enough. There's also this part: - Mixer URLs will be automatically wordfiltered out, but you can still discuss mixers otherwise. I guess we'll have to see how compatible that is with linking to a site that lists all URLs.
|
|
|
My first thought after reading about the impending mixer ban on Bitcointalk: Phishing sites are going to love this change! Google has shown ads for fake mixers for years. I don't think your topic linking to a list of mixers will survive on Bitcointalk after January 1st though. After that it'll have to compete with the exising lists, and as far as I've seen in the past, many of them advertise phishing sites.

I believe that text generated through AI isn't a direct form of plagiarism Why? plagiarism, n. The action or practice of taking someone else's work, idea, etc., and passing it off as one's own; literary theft. Someone created a chat bot, that means anything the chat bot spits out is created by someone. The spammer that posts it on Bitcointalk passes it off as their own, which makes it plagiarism by definition. Even worse: it's the laziest form of plagiarism, while it's difficult to detect. If it doesn't get punished by bans, people will stop reporting it and this entire forum will be lost. There's no limit to the amount of spam a bot can create.
