Refund received for the batch 1 chips from auction. Thanks Steve.

Just waiting on my batch 2 website order now.
1802  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: September 30, 2013, 04:11:45 PM
He likely has 10k chips (maybe 20k) that he's frantically trying to assemble, test, and get out the door... as long as firmware works. We might not hear anything until the first round of boards start to ship. Remember, he's set a 72-hour turnaround for himself. I'm interested to see how things progress.
What will happen to people who requested a refund after Yifu shipped the chips?

I was under the impression that the refunds were requested before the closure of the refund window. So as long as nothing has changed, everyone should get a refund. I don't think SB would have written that if he wasn't sure of it.

Until SB gives an update and tells us he now has a bunch of useless chips I don't suppose we can know for sure.
1803  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: September 30, 2013, 12:01:07 PM
This is the only glimmer of hope:

Also there will be some compensation for trade-in and chip order customers. ( you are entitled regardless, so don't think I am trying to sway your decision. )

Regardless of the outcome, nothing excuses the lack of communication from Steamboat.

After the lengthy email about no communication we can only assume that SB is very busy. Though I don't understand how busy you need to be to be unable to communicate a paragraph or two once a week.
1804  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: September 30, 2013, 06:48:11 AM
I've gotta admit that I'm getting a little concerned. I know SB is probably busy, but a lot of us just want to put this mess behind us.

Reading the last posts I'm guessing that some people from batch 1 and those that purchased batch 1 from auctions are currently still left out like me?

I'll just put the tx id for that purchase to maybe make things easier for you Steve:

the chips:

c60ffff6fba9c3e8fbfbfb8e9bde2a18e31f46f5fb699e6b5b64018335ba0650

and the tx for assembly:

8b345ead56a1b06029ff72e0255ee2681c30a61bc95883fc779e40cf6c371994

Thanks.

I also did not get a refund yet.
I wrote John K. (escrow) but no message.

I'm sure it's just an oversight, I've messaged Steve a few times concerning the batch 1 chips so I'm sure I'm on his radar. It would be good for a comment from Steve about this to let us know how is proceeding with this.
My guess is that there will have to be a lot of cross checking of messages if the reallocation payments were not labelled or organised at the time which will understandably lead to a longer wait.

I guess once Steve's site orders (which I am also a part of) are processed tommorow then he will have the time to clear up these loose ends.

Great to see Steve getting on top of things. Looking forward to receiving my refunds.
1808  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: September 29, 2013, 04:28:00 PM
SB has exhibited integrity which has gone far, and refunded many chip orders, but an update on outstanding/late chip refunds, partial assembly refunds, and/or additional behind the scene action plan updates would be great!

I agree.
1809  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Closed]Avalon Chips - 0.081 BTC (Global+Escrow)-BATCH2 SECURED on: September 28, 2013, 09:14:04 PM
Proceesing let s say ...50 addresses...one minute / address gives 50 minutes of time....what about the rest of the 23 hours? I mean how much time dos it take to copy paste some adsresses? 24-48-72....one week....let s be serious.

You're right, at least some refunds should have been processed by now.
1810  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Closed]Avalon Chips - 0.081 BTC (Global+Escrow)-BATCH2 SECURED on: September 28, 2013, 09:10:49 PM
Steve, I've wrote you one too many times for this. When we voted, you counted my vote for all the chips, but you told me you would fix this later. And you didn't. Now mueslo has been refunded for the chips I've purchased from him.

I'll contact mueslo, but this was your job to correct. I expect to take responsibility for this mess.

I'm concerned that this may have happened with some group 1 chips I purchased at an auction as I have not received any refund for them either. I hope this isn't going to become even messier than it already is.

I guess I'll have to contact whoever's chips I purchased at the auction.

edit: mistyped into quotes

Exactly....so where is steve ? How long does it take? He has the money for batch 2 refund

Steve wrote he's be processing refunds this weekend a page back, so I guess we'll just have to wait another day or so for an update if we go by the assumption that he will be processing and refunding until late on Sunday.
1812  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: September 28, 2013, 12:09:40 PM
I'm not surprised they are doing this, but it does feel very disrespectful to their current customers. There is probably enough demand in the market that they don't have to worry about pissing people off.
1813  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Closed]Avalon Chips - 0.081 BTC (Global+Escrow)-BATCH2 SECURED on: September 27, 2013, 05:07:47 PM
I will fake my death for couple of thousands of BTC  Smiley

Haha, well I can't see it likely John K doing this!
1814  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Closed]Avalon Chips - 0.081 BTC (Global+Escrow)-BATCH2 SECURED on: September 27, 2013, 05:03:43 PM
So if a bus hits john k no one will ever see a cent?

Truly, what is the likelyhood of this happening?
1815  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Closed]Avalon Chips - 0.081 BTC (Global+Escrow)-BATCH2 SECURED on: September 27, 2013, 05:01:43 PM
when I talked to Steve on the phone he told me that in 2 days he will solve out bouth batches refund.... is has been like 4 days and no money in our wallets.

How hard is to refund btc pe people wallets... hey.. BTC is allmost instant!... WTF

It's easier to run and give no more updates if Steve wants to steal our BTC.

He's been straight with us so far and at least kept in contact, he's also refunded one person out of his own pocket. Let's remember he's also got a life and we undertook a transaction with him knowing this.

Cut the guy some slack, he is likely as stressed by this situation as any of us that have invested. Steve has given us no indication that he will pull a fast one.

Now if he dissapears for two weeks with no updates, or as long goes by with funds being released to him and not refunded, then I'll worry. As I understand it though, won't John K be involved with the refunding too? I might be wrong on that last point. John K was the main reason I invested in this group buy, so I still have full confidence in Steve's integrity.
1816  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Closed]Avalon Chips - 0.081 BTC (Global+Escrow)-BATCH2 SECURED on: September 27, 2013, 06:53:04 AM
What will happen with board and shipping money? If it can't be redounded I would like to get a board and I will use it for 2.0 chips...

I don't see why shipping can not be refunded, as that is a service or product that has not been bought yet.
as to boards, I understand that they will be offset against future investments with Steve either partially or in whole.
1817  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: September 26, 2013, 12:30:06 PM
well I was probably one of the last hold outs, requested a refund for 64 chips in group buy #1 & groupbuy #2.  I highly doubt even if steamboat ships these by mid october we'll be able to make even 1/3 ROI.  What a shitty situation, I hope steamboat can either A. Give us a better refund for assembly. B. Secure Gen2 Avalon chips and use them for our full assembled boards.  Any idea how steamboat is refunding shipping, testing, and full assembly?  And when the refunds will commence?

100% of shipping is refunded, 25% of assembly ($95 * .25 = $23.75/board) is refunded. The extra parts (anything you paid over $95 for kits/fully assembled miners, i.e. fans, standoffs, usb cables, etc.) are being held until something is figured out. If other next-gen boards can use them, that will be offered, if not, they can be shipped to you. These refunds come from SB requesting a refund for one of his batches.

I hope more people request refunds, which will shift the focus sooner than later from the K16s to refunds and next-gen projects.

I'm keeping my credit for two assembled boards on hold for now until I hear more about Steamboat's plans.  I believe steamboat alluded that those interested in his next venture could apply the assembly straight to that and just pay the difference, if any, between this gen and next gen boards.  Did I read that wrong?

You might be right, if that's the case I think many would want to do the same thing, myself included. Those details are unclear at this point, but hopefully SB will clear them up shortly.

Yes, that'd be nice.

There is no point in buying gen1 asics, but I'm hoping someone will figure out a way to make the K16 fully functional (and then plug in gen2 asics). I would like to know what's SB's POV on buying gen2 asics from Avalon... (I can't say I'm much thrilled at the idea, but as was discussed in the K thread, it'd be a shame/silly to let this effort go to waste).

Yes, there is significant effort tied up in these ventures. Makes me angry that Avalon still have guaranteed business because of it.

I'm not really sure if we need to request refund of batch 1 or all will get it, to be sure i would like a refund of the following order:

3      80      6.48      1YHJ7UNtvJoG5NgbJyNk6mG6KD21u4MeJ

All the persons who have voted on the first voting cycle will get refund. The list has been passed last evening to John. I've passed your information too.

Steve

Steve can you reply to me about the voting form please? As I said I have some from batch 1 and 2. I have privately messaged you about preferring a refund, but I don't know if this means that I will be processed as such as I did not recieve any communcation regarding batch 1 or 2.

I know this is messy and hate to add this to your plate, but I'm feeling a little out of the loop and don't want to miss out on being refunded.

You will get refunded, don't worry. You're not out of the loop.

Also, upon sending messages to John, he looks busy too, based on the time intervals he responds, so our refunds are being processed (and not only ours, unfortunately for him)

Thank you for taking the time Steve. This is an utter clusterfudge of epic proportions. I hope that Yifu's business name suffers from this, but my thinking is that there is such a huge demand for miners that people will be willing to ignore this utter travesty and  continue to use him.

edit: messed up format
