Because 1 bitcoin is 750$ and going up. It's much easier to tip in coins that are closer to 1$.
Girl performs for you and you tip her 0.01 bitcoin? Cmon, how that sounds?  Cheesy

Sounds fine to me. I'd rather have the Bitcoins.
18163  Economy / Goods / Re: *** Vaporizers / Seeds / Smoking Accessories for Bitcoin *** on: December 31, 2013, 02:06:11 PM

I just bought this black one and love it. It works like a cig car lighter. The only thing I don't like is you can't control the heat. Other then that I use it daily on the road, very discrete.

I paid $99 usd so they are asking a little much I think.

$100 dollars isn't too bad. They're only £50 or so over here I think.

Hey stunna i have a question about this , is 0.4 the maximum payout for a month? i understand if i go over 2000 posts will i still
get the 0.4 or will i get whatever i deserve like for example i have 2050  is the math behind my pay, 2050  x 0.0002?

thanks  Grin

You planning on making more than 2000 substantial posts in one month?!  Good luck, you know, since you have to wait 6 minutes between posts Wink

After Jr.Member it is only 15 seconds.

Is it? Pretty sure mine says 30, though it does feel less than that.

And take it from me, 2000 substantial posts is a lot of work.

I don't think there's enough to justify its own childboard. There's a lot of people selling consoles too, but they don't really need to be separate.

Not as much.
10-12 vs 1-2

We don't just have to take the first page into consideration. I'm sure there's lots of other things that could have their own sections, but would probably look a bit bare in the grand scheme of things.

I'd look for the guy to make a minimum 100% recovery, if I had to make a wild speculation.  The number of neural connections in his brain must be 100 times that of a normal person for him to drive the way he did for so long.

You wot mate? Minimum 100% recovery? And I'm guessing you're not a neuroscientist?

lol, whoops. I originally had a figure somewhere in the 85-95% range before I just said fuck it and put 100% with the caveat of "wild speculation" after reading the latest news on him.  I'm an amateur neuroscientist.   Wink  Here's another thing, I'm thinking that he'll wake up in the next 5 days if he doesn't stroke out or something.  If the situation looked less than optimal you can bet the latest surgical outcomes wouldn't be reported to the media while the man is still unconscious.

Helmet on, no skull fracture reported, hematoma itself removed as is its associated pressure on the brain, medically-induced coma, once in a generation genius brain, the best medical expertise $ can buy...I think the odds are in his favor.

You seem to be making a lot of wild assumptions here based on nothing but media coverage. Not exactly sure about "once in a generation genius brain" either  Cheesy.
18168  Other / Off-topic / Re: WHY? on: December 31, 2013, 12:43:45 PM
SO WHATS THE POINT OF A LENDING PAGE, THAT HAS NO SUPPORT OR A WAY TO VERIFY OUR IDENTITY OR ANYTHING THEY WOULD REQUEST,

You could provide some ID and proof of residence for a loan. Sometimes that's good enough for loans, but most people wont bother without collateral because most of the time they'll just be scammed. I'd just stick to not trying to take out loans on the internet.
18169  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How come I can't post?? on: December 31, 2013, 12:40:16 PM
Well, because of this 20 post limit, a lot of useless posts are generated...

There's not a 20 post limit. You need one post and 4 hours wait.

shitting and sex are the two most worldly pleasures.. what about taking a dump on someone? that would be combining both.

Have you been pegged yet?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=391687.0

Any user found botting or making garbage posts will not receive payment. Do not attempt it. Payment structure will be changing next month most likely.

I'm not sure if anyone was actually using bots, I just think that user was referring to PrimeDice signature promoters colloquially as bots. Saying that, I have noticed a few users this month essentially just copying and pasting the same welcome messages often in broken English in the newb section, and since that user hangs out there often maybe this is what he's referring to.

I'm sure a better workaround can be found here. Why don't you just make the rules on spamming/posting more stricter. We as a community can police spammers quite easily. Maybe have a two strikes and you're out rule. If you're caught spamming or posting crap you get a warning that next time you do you wont receive any payment. I'm sure if this happened users wont risk it.

It's a shame that yet again a few stupid users spoil it for everyone.

Go to Sparta.

This is the best piece of advice I have received.
Thank you.

Haha. My friend's going next year as he's a big fan of all that ancient Greek bollocks.
18176  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: will it ever go back up to $1200? on: December 31, 2013, 12:01:53 PM
China is what happened: http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-price-falls-btc-china-exchange-shuts-fiat-deposits/

Basically, transferring to/from yuan/bitcoin suddenly became much more difficult. And, due to bitcoin's previous run up in price being due to China, this was a blow to the speculators.

People panic selling is what happened.

I'm sure it'll go above and beyond in 2014.
18177  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What to do about MtGox on: December 31, 2013, 12:00:38 PM
I am verified on MtGox and have a few thousand Euros in my MG account (not BTC, fiat).

Do I risk a SEPA withdrawal? I've heard recently stories of people waiting 2 months with no word from MG as to the withdrawals status.
Or do I buy back BTC from MG, sell the MTC on Kraken and withdraw from Kraken? Taking a hundred EUR hit in the process

Any recent experiences?

Thanks.

Depends what you are and aren’t ok with. Do you need the money quick? If so, take the hit. If not withdraw and wait. Only you can decide.
18178  Other / Meta / Re: (Suggestion) New sub-forum for novelty coins on: December 31, 2013, 11:56:52 AM
Who's to separate bitcoin general, politics/society, and off-topic? It would be a judgment call. Coins that are obviousl wrong would be moved, those that are somewhat in between would remain as-is unless there's a consensus by the community to move it.

e.g. Dogecoin is obviously novelty, Litecoin really isn't. CrystalCoin could be an example of what is questionable.

And this is why it's best to keep them all together. All you'd get was people bitching that their Dogecoin isn't a novelty and bitching about others that made it into the non-novelty section.
18179  Other / Off-topic / Re: 3D printing is overrated? on: December 31, 2013, 11:53:18 AM
Suppose the surgical equipment here is a surgical knife. Now that would be easy to make since there is just one component and that component is the knife itself. Suppose also the hospital has the surgical knife 3D printer, the design blueprint and also the metal raw material, would the hospital want to "print" out the surgical knife?

Now, let's extend this to other surgical equipment. Would there be a need for hospitals to "print" out any surgical equipment?

You're not going to print out a knife.  It's far cheaper and more effective to run a manufacturing line and churn out a million scalpels.

What you'd use the printer for is stuff like custom-fitted implants (like this jaw).  Rather than having to use an off-the-shelf part (which probably doesn't exactly match the original equipment), you can implant a device that is exactly the right size and shape.

Spot on! One useful application is customised objects which would otherwise be more costly to make.
I am sure companies are able to make the custom-fitted implants with the current equipment if you pay them the right price. With 3D printer however, there is potential to bring down the cost. At the end of the day, patients can pay less.  Smiley Smiley Smiley

Not everybody has access to manufacturing lines or to suppliers. If you're in the middle of nowhere in some run down part of the world and a particular emergency needs a specific tool or medical equipment you could quickly print one off. It's not always about cost, but access. And I don't think printing out a scalpel is going to break the bank.
