I finally made one  . Now I don't know what should I do with it. I saw some threads where people had their public key posted but I can't find the sub-forum for it now. Any advices as to where should I post it? People (myself included) normally post it on Reputation ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=129.0) and ask one or 2 trusted members to quote it so if a hacker takes your account editing your post wouldn't be enough. You can use that same thread to ask people to post after dealing with you. Otherwise you can lock it and move it to Archival afterwards. P.S.: If you want a keybase.io invite just let me know. I posted it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=996318.msg11079102#msg11079102I saw some of the threads in the reputation board being moved for archival which is why I didn't post it there. I would not use keybase. I would suggest using GnuPG or GPGtools (if you prefer a GUI).
Imo using a website to store/access your PGP key is too risky. There are arguments to keep your PGP key completely offline although I am not sure how many people actually do this.
There are also iPhone apps that you can store your key in but if you are going to keep your key offline then it would obviously not be a good idea. If your phone is lost or stolen they you could be impersonated. I wouldn't use any non-iPhone app because of the lack of sand boxing and the possibility of your phone getting hacked.
Edit: there is no point to create your key off line if you are going to use it online.

My avatar has changed from a Hobbit to a Phoenix. Should I change it back? You will be able to recognise me, right? I can adapt, just dont change it every other week or do if you want, but I think keeping an avatar for a long time is more beneficial. It helps to recognize a certain account/person. Its only natural that after the introduction there is a phase where people try out different avatars.
