This wannabe's crash where everyone is bearish and fearful is hillarious  Grin Grin Grin
Last time the US closed borders because of covid we had a crash.
Now that a country with nuclear potential is at war we can expect anything.

I'm not bearish, but trying to be objective here.
Nasdaq is at its lowest point since March 2021.
USD is at its highest prices since 2017 and we all know what happened with Bitcoin in 2017.
1822  Other / Archival / Re: Bears continue to dominate on: April 26, 2022, 06:53:06 PM
For the next 3 months, probably the best plan is not to care about the price that much, small talk is ok but leverage trading not so much.

I expect this to take more than 3 months and here's why.
Bitcoin is pretty strong by itself, but influenced by rate adjustments, US stock indexes and war in Ukraine. USD is pumping which is always bad for BTC, we don't know what stocks will do, many people are staying away from investments and holding cash instead (or are forced to sell because their credit rates went up by 50%). We will be facing 30-50k swings for a year if Russia keeps bullying Europe and inflation reaches highs. If Stocks crash it's going to get much worse.

Unlike the alleged helicopter attack in Belgorod a few weeks ago, this is much deeper in Russian territory (~15 miles vs ~70 miles).

It's not a Ukrainian attack, stop posting propaganda. This is a normal fire that happens from time to time in oil depots. Most likely this time it was human error. Oil is very flammable and tends to cause problems from time to time. Brave Russian firefighters are dealing with it.

I know you're being facetious, but I was hanging out in some Russian TG channels this morning and it's a bit of a mess there...

"When is Putin finally going to start a real war?"
"This can't be Ukraine, this is NATO attacking us"
"Why didn't they appreciate our good will gesture (retreat from Kyiv)"
"Let's nuke Kyiv"
"Let's nuke Poland"
"Mobilization" (ok, that one is just Girkin)

It's sad to watch how brainwashed they are. Ukrainians even call some of them and they are repeating the same mantra.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjhfQrtuJ-A
-Why are you in Ukraine?
-We want to disarm you because you use nazi symbols on your uniforms.
-How many Russians have died for this?
-3000 (lol)
-What if it includes your son? If we were nazis he wouldn't be sitting here with us.

They are killing women and children and destroying whole towns because they saw nazi symbols in Ukraine and they use these symbols in Russia.
What would Russians say if NATO bombed Moscow because of some nationalist marches being held there?

These pictures are all from March 22 or earlier.  Imagine how much has been done since.
We have already learned in this thread that these are pictures of:
-buildings hit by Ukrainian fire because Ukrainians want to kill Russians at all cost even sacrificing their own towns
-buildings hit by Ukrainian artillery that missed their targets
-places destroyed by crashing Russian jets and helicopters that Ukrainians shot down (not Russian fault)
-places destroyed by Russian missiles that were diverted or damaged by Ukrainian fire. Missiles were going towards military targets but were forced by Ukrainian forces into civilian bildings
-civilian buildings where Ukrainian nazis were hiding
-civilian buildings used to store weapons and ammo for Ukrainian forces deliberately targeted by Russians
-civilian buildings destroyed by Ukrainians on purpose to make it look like Russians are doing it to make the world impose more sanctions

48 dead then, 60,000 plus (projected) dead Russians now.  Is that higher level Russian math?
Russia mainly conducts the operation with elite units with combat experience,

Those elite soldiers look like farmers straight from Russia's Far East given surplus army uniforms and told to go forward where new lands, women and riches await.

Teenagers who were told they're going to train in Belarus and woke up in Ukraine.
We were sent as cannon fodder. We're killing peaceful people': Weeping Russian POWs say they had no idea they were being sent to war and were made 'to attack people defending their territory
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10568725/We-sent-cannon-fodder-killing-peaceful-people-Weeping-Russian-POWs.html

There's also a testimony of a young Russian boxer, who was preparing to fight in the national team. One night they told him to board a truck, he did it and went to sleep. He woke up hearing shots nearby, asked his commander where they were and why and was told that they're attacking Ukraine to stop them from placing missile launchers on the border with Russia.
1827  Economy / Services / Re: Signature camapign manager on: April 22, 2022, 12:52:38 PM
You don't have to hire a campaign manager - you can do it yourself, too. It's all about how you manage your time and how good you feel about it, perhaps getting someone to just escrow funds on a weekly basis would be a better option if you want more control of the campaign?

For what it's worth, you can check any of my campaigns and use whatever you like from them in terms of structure/sheets etc. As for the graphics and signature creation I'd recommend jayce.

Don't agree with this as there is a quality difference between a campaign manager (with experience) and any random person from the project team to start a campaign. Though they might be able to handle the sheets and  counting stuff, but they won't be able to select and check the quality posters.
Hiring a trusted campaign manager would cost them little additional costs but it can be beneficial for the project/company to achieve the marketing goals.

Maybe he doesn't care about quality of posts but rather areas where those posts appear? If you want just 1 or 2 weeks of traffic boost from this forum you can achieve it by excluding all the major spam areas like games and rounds and off-topic, pay only for large posts like 200 characters+ to make sure they put minimum effort into this and hire only hero and legendary accounts.
Given enough time most people are able to run a campaign, but a manager adds a certain level of trust, so if you're planning to run a campaign for longer it's better to have someone trusted to help you with it.

Anyway, I also think that OP is trying to get hired as a manager, not to find someone to manage his campaign, but he wrote that in a weird way.

MO Russia formally won WW2 [...]
70% of the hostilities were conducted on the territory of Ukraine, and at least 40% of all human casualties in this war were Ukrainians, so if it were not for Soviet Ukraine, then Moscow would now speak German. I'm not talking about exact numbers, but I hope you understand what I'm talking about.
And yet, Stalin got all the glory and Russians, who raped their way through Poland to Berlin, seem to think that all the good things should be remembered forever, while their bad deeds forgotten.
No responsibility for their actions and no honor, just pure, savage rage and greed is what can be seen everywhere they go.

I believe he was accused of espionage or similar? My guess is that he attended the same class as be.open at the Russian Ministry of Dark Humour and Fantasyland Tales judging for the "news" he published, which many times were not news at all.
I have to say that this video of his is pretty good. It really looks like these are Ukrainian propaganda videos made by actors. It doesn't surprise me since Russians are also using propaganda and lying about their intentions. Ukraine using some of the same tactics doesn't change the way I see this conflict.
1829  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: April 21, 2022, 09:51:36 PM
the Russian army of impotents lost this war completely. The Russian army is unable to conduct combat operations, there is a rout on all fronts.
This is not surprising, in the 20th century Russia fought 6 wars, lost 5 of them.
Russians can only rob, kill civilians.
This is what they do well.

Wait a minute...if Russia won in Syria, what happened in WW2, they lost?

Won. Lost. It's all a matter of perspective. For instance, Russia attacked Poland hand in hand with the Nazi Germans (only nazis there ever were, despite Russian propaganda calling Ukrainians this way). Russians showed they had no spine, trying once again to murder and subdue, like vultures. Eventually they were forced to change sides because Hitler was even more greedy and that move put Russians on the side of the Allies. Nowadays they think of themselves as the saviors of Europe, the enemies of Hitler. They don't like to be reminded that they were his allies, just got cheated and fought back.

Finland wanted to be neutral, but got attacked by overwhelming Russian forces and managed to defend itself pretty well, much like Ukraine is doing now. We could say Finland won, but the history books say something else. Finland continued to fight against Russia when it joined forces with the Allies to fight the Germans, which formally placed it on the side of the Axis, the losing side. Was it the fault of Finland in any way? It wasn't the aggressor, it wasn't the loser, yet it lost and had to give up part of its territories to the country that was the second biggest bully in Europe at the time, the same country that continues to be the biggest bully today, when there's no Third Reich anymore.

IMO Russia formally won WW2, but it shouldn't have. When someone invades your home and shoots you, there are consequences. He can't change his mind during the assault, apologize and bandage your wounds, what's done is already done. Russians invaded countries, killed and raped people and then changed their minds and started playing the victim and the whole world accepted it and allowed them to do what they wanted and have the borders they wanted.
1830  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: April 20, 2022, 09:48:58 PM
Do you know why Russia invaded so much of Ukraine and why they did not just invade the parts in the east where they are now concentrated?
Good question. I think that Russia launched a preemptive strike not only in the Donbass, but also from the north and south - mainly in order to quickly push the Ukrainian army 100-150 km away from the border with Russia, and thus deprive the Armed Forces of Ukraine of shooting at Russian territory from stationary positions. The longest-range Ukrainian rocket Tochka-U has a maximum flight range of 120 km.

Sure... They're trying to push Ukrainians 150km from the border, which is why they're attacking Lviv with missiles. It sure is a city situated about 100km from the border, just that it's the border with Poland, about as far as you can get from Russia. That's why they sent those special forces (SOBR) to Kiev. That's why they told their soldiers to dig trenches in radioactive soil, in the exclusion zone, because they wanted Ukrainians to stop shooting at Russian territory.

Your arguments don't hold because Russian propaganda is so full of holes that you can't fix them no matter how hard you try.
You're really trying, I give you that, answering all of our questions as best as you can, trying to form whatever justification the Russian government produces into a coherent whole, but you can't make a cake out of shit, no matter how much frosting and glitter you pour on it and what fancy shape you'll create. Most people will see shit at first glance, some will need to smell it, some will get as far as tasting, but eventually they all come to a conclusion that it's not a cake.
1831  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Fluid gender garbage. on: April 19, 2022, 11:37:38 PM
For me it's pretty simple. People can feel as they like and I don't mind if they're weird or mentally ill, or whatever, but we all have a line that we do not cross. For instance, if an obvious male goes into a female bathroom that my daughter or wife are at, he's going to get his ass kicked and I'm not going to accept any "I feel like a girl" explanation. What if a pedophile suddenly starts feeling like a 10 year old girl and wants to be friends with your kids? What if a woman starts yelling at you for not recognizing that she's a man (because she feels like a man today, but next week she may feel like a woman again because her gender is fluid, or whatever)? You people want to be weird, be my guest, experiment on yourselves, cut off your penises, take hormones, but don't try to enforce anything on me. I'm not going to invade your space and you don't invade mine.

Can you give examples of which topics are gambling discussion mega threads?
I believe threads that managers consider as mega threads are topics that already have several pages, any thing little above 5 pages the topic will be considered as mega thread.
Example of such threads are:
UEFA Champions discussions
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5271157.
Premiere League prediction thread
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5163249.0
PLEASE CORRECT ME IF AM WRONG

The problem with that is all ongoing discussions tend to have above 5 pages. For instance, many threads in Meta, where it's important to gather opinions.
Imagine that you have an ongoing football league and every few days there's a match. People will not make a new thread to talk about every single match but discuss them in a league thread as they come up. Not allowing people to post in such threads will only lead to more spam as they'll start new threads for each match just to be paid.
1833  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk makes offer to buy Twitter on: April 17, 2022, 05:11:21 PM
I don't like Musk and all that stuff about him shilling Dogecoin, changing opinion about Bitcoin etc, but I am not so sure that Twitter would be any worse if he takes it over as they have been very restrictive lately when it comes to stuff that you can say and not getting banned. The only question is whether he is serious about all that freedom of speech thing or he is just bullshiting, which wouldn't be the first time.

I also don't like him because he's a clown and to him everything is a tool to make fun, which is why he pumped and dumped Bitcoin, sold flamethrowers, made a tunnel to travel to work faster, launched a car into space... He's got too much money and is autistic, so I don't blame him for being a spoiled rich kid stuck inside a grown man, but that's who he is. He's going to play with twitter and throw it away, just like he did with many other things in the past, even his wives.
1834  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russia moving equpment near by finland on: April 16, 2022, 11:59:12 AM
But yes finland will be ocvupied asap i guess in few days

Like the last time when Russians tried to conquer Finland. They sent 20 thousand men to Finland who had only 4k, which makes it 5 Russians for every Finnish soldier. The results? Russians lost 3000 vs only 274 dead and 445 injured on the Finnish side. Nowadays with the modern equipment that Finland has (over 100 Leopard 2 tanks and almost 25 thousand men), they are capable of defending themselves against the rusty Soviet-made crap that Russians are sending to battle.

The missile cruiser "Moskva" sank while being towed to its destination in a storm due to damage to the hull received due to a fire from the detonation of ammunition. This was reported on Thursday in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

I hope our Kremlin friends finally got their propaganda material on this unfortunate event and will share it in this thread. They've been weirdly avoiding this topic so far.

Earlier they claimed that they had a fire that caused an ammo storage to explode and damage the ship, but whole crew was safely evacuated and all missiles were undamaged.
That Russian landing ship Orsk also had a fire a few weeks ago that caused it to sink. Probably an electrical malfunction, nothing to worry about comrades. Definitely not a missile strike!

Putin got a report that Moskva was destroyed.  Before they could explain that it was a ship, not the capital, he lost consciousness.

Remember those yachts being seized around the world... a couple of those is worth roughly as much as that missile cruiser. Isn't it amazing how during Putins reign "individuals" were able to amass such wealth but the state can't build any new warships of that size and is using 40-years old Soviet ships with defense systems that can be defeated by a Turkish drone.
As far as I remember Sergei Pugachev, a former friend of Putin, said that the reason for the state of the army is the reason why they have all this wealth. Putin and "his people" sell everything the Soviet army had to offer and use the money for their own benefit. They even stripped electronics and sold it for scrap, which is why many Russian tanks in Ukraine looked like homeless people were living inside. That's why Putin could afford that enormous complex on the Black Sea coast.
1837  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I saved myself from cryptocurrency disappointment on: April 14, 2022, 10:34:14 PM
Most people get disappointed because of unrealistic expectations. They buy Bitcoin because of some stories found in the Internet about young millionaires who bought their first apartments with their profits. Most of you don't realize that if they made a million USD and bought an apartment it means they sold it all and they did it years ago because most of these stories are from before 2021 so these people missed the last ATH and they could have 2 apartments today if they held.

Don't expect crypto to give you fast and high returns and you'll already boost your chances of being a winner in this test. That's right, investing is a test of your skills, understanding, mindset, personality, and many other things. You're weak - you lose.
1838  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: April 14, 2022, 10:10:01 PM
Your video on the second link shows an alleged missile attack on a high-rise building in Kyiv and its consequences. It was the success of the Ukrainian missile defense at the very beginning of the operation, a Russian missile aimed at a military facility was shot down and its fragments fell into a residential building. If a Russian rocket hit the house, the house would not have a hole in the side, but a large pile of rubble.

You can see the missile explode. It wasn't a dud, the explosion takes out 4 floors, which on the average is 12 m in diameter. 12m explosion inside a building made of concrete and steel, not bricks. Who are you trying to fool with "fragments falling on the building". By fragments you must mean a warhead that explodes on impact.

Quote
The third video shows a missile attack on the building of the Kharkiv city administration, where at that moment a gathering of nationalists was taking place. These data were obtained and confirmed by Russian intelligence from several sources. The Russian special services have long hands, I recommend that the militants of the national battalions do not gather in groups of more than 20 people and do not stay in one place for a long time. The range of the Kalibr missile is more than 2500 km, the range of the X-101 missile is more than 5500 km, the range of the Iskander missile is up to 500 km, the high-precision missile can be struck from the sea, from the air or from the ground at any point in Ukraine at any time.

And that missile left the building standing instead of a "large pile of rubble".
Every time Russians kill civilians it's blamed on nationalists. Apparently nationalists are everywhere in Ukraine and that includes women and children.
1839  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if she receives Bitcoin as gift on: April 14, 2022, 09:32:18 PM

I would agree that women would love tor receive precious gifts like jewelries or maybe even a car...but there can be something more special if you give them Bitcoin. Not only will they start to get educated on the potential game-changing features of this coin but they can be building on something that we project can be more valuable into the future. I am then 100% supporting your intent and your desire to spread more awareness for Bitcoin in particular and cryptocurrency in general. How lucky are those women who can get something really valuable from you. So go for it and make things happen.

Start gifting cars to women and expect to become a lot poorer very fast Cheesy

Jokes aside, if a woman is happy from any gift you give her and appreciates any effort, she's a keeper. Try giving her some BTC and if she does some research and learns to use a wallet and manages to send a transaction and buy herself something nice, she's a treasure. Even better if she doesn't spend it all and keeps some as an investment.

Even when you think this gift is nothing interesting for a girl, try it out just to see how she responds.
1840  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russian head of the committee on Energy about selling oil and gas in Bitcoin on: April 14, 2022, 09:21:01 PM
and if we know that only 5 countries supported Russia in what it is currently doing, and 35 were not for or against - then we need to ask ourselves who will pay for oil and gas with Bitcoin?

It was even 4 countries because Belarus is technically Russia under a different name. The president is a dictator who doesn't say no to Putin and who allowed Russian forces to attack Ukraine from Belarus and launch missiles from its territory. Russia even stated that if NATO countries allow Ukrainians to use its airfields to attack Russian forces it will be an act of war, but when Russians use Belarusian airfields to bomb Ukraine it surprisingly isn't an act of war from Belarus. Russian double standards at its finest.

India could buy Russian oil and gas, but India is also the country that hated bitcoin since some of the MPs were caught taking bribes in cryptocurrency. I doubt India will use Bitcoin for any official deal.
