1841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Are airdrops profitable and worth my time ? on: August 18, 2019, 05:37:29 PM
Airdrops favour those who have lots of friends using social medias,i beileve that the highest payouts from airdrops goes to those who can refer 100s to 1000s of people to the project, ive seen full time airdrop hunters that make over 600$ but the fact is you will never see this people coming out telling you they made big money hunting airdrops but if you have lots of friends they join airdrops with referral tasks
That argument is currently baseless mate, I have over 5000 friend on my social media and I am still in same shoe as those who have 500 because we all participate in same project, and we are all being governed by same rule, if they decided not to pay someone with 500 friend, it is the same way they will not pay someone with 5000 friends.

Airdrops and bounty campaign generally is the problem, we have so many projects that are either scam or they just want hunters to work for them free without paying them, so even if you participate in 100 thousand airdrops or campaign, still have to hope that you get one that will pay you and have a real company with real working product. For now, I have stayed away from airdrops, I prefer to just buy any token that I am interested in than waste my time.
1842  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: dont stop been a bounty hunter because of present condition on: August 18, 2019, 04:12:15 PM
Bounty programs  are successful 1 in 20. But if you were able to choose this one project people can envy you. There is a great chance to get a lot of profit. You just need to treat cryptocurrency more constructively. You should try to understand its technology and ideas of the project you have chosen.
The only way you can get to choose that one is when you participate in every of the 20, because if you base it in research alone, it is very difficult to really separate the bad ones from the good ones because right now, we now have so many professional scammers, that will make their whitepaper look real, and you can even contact them via phone or email from them to look real to you, but in the end, it end up being a very bad project.

So, except you stay off hunting or you just keep participating in every project, but where I do help myself is to look for the most talked about, and then do further research on them  before I can be convinced if it is worth my time or they are just there to waste my time.  We should never give up on research anyway, we should just let out instinct direct us.
1843  Economy / Economics / Re: Can not believe 5 years ago you could of bought one whole bitcoin for this much! on: August 18, 2019, 03:01:21 PM
If we do the right decision in the early days, we might be holding a lot of money with our bitcoin now.
When we are earning and we don't have much other source of income, we will be tempted to sell our bitcoin especially when we see that the price is improving.

There's a lot of people I know who wish that they bought BTC when it was still at 1 usd but I know if they can go back in the past, they would not make a decision to hold until now, that time there are still fear that bitcoin might fail and only those who really have high faith on BTC are enjoying the reward now.
There are some of us that did not even get the opportunity to even get to know bitcoin then, maybe if we had known bitcoin, then we would have bought already, as at 2010, I learnt that bitcoin was even 0.008 usd and imagine how many thousands of bitcoin that $1000 would have bought?

But, we cannot blame ourselves because the opportunity just did not come at that time, but now that we still have the privilege and the opportunity to speak of same story in future when bitcoin becomes highly expensive with 100 percent stability, we should just see this current value as a cheap one and then just try to start accumulating as much as we really can before that time. I believe then, we will also have a story to tell also.
1844  Economy / Economics / Re: Differences between an investor and common man! on: August 18, 2019, 02:30:47 PM
The main difference between investors and common man is only there mindsets. Investors all time think about how can they make money and common man don't. The common man usually try to spend there income instead of invest it and investors invest in any real estate or other places and make it double or more and enjoy profits.
There is no man that would not think of how to make money in this life, you have to understand that there is still a difference between a common man and a lazy man, we have so many common men that are very hardworking, they can work to get paid, but they just don’t have the zeal for investment.

Let us just see it this way that most investors have business drive while a common man does not have business drive, and aside business drive, they don’t go or do things that will expose them to investment, but they would rather prefer to sit in that office where they will just be paying them salary at the end of the month, so I think common man too will always think of money, but how to spend the money with them rather than multiplying it is what they are always thinking.
1845  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Why 20% profit in crypto is TERRIBLE. on: August 18, 2019, 09:11:32 AM
I'd say good.
I've seen quite a few people got rekt and a -90% profit due to greedy.
That is exactly the greed that usually do people, same greed that affected me when the price of bitcoin got to $13800, I knew that the increase was not the type that would be heading to bull run, and when my coin grew from $7000 to $13800, my instinct told me to sell off and then probably buy back at a cheaper rate when it dumps, but I was waiting for bitcoin to reach $15k before I pull out the money.

Was the profit between $7k and $13 not enough for me to have pulled out? That was how bitcoin drastically dropped now, and if I had sold at that time and taking the percentage increase, I would probably have bought back when the price dropped to $8k and then have more of bitcoin in my account now. So we really need to learn to stop being greedy on crypto trades.
1846  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hi My name is Ares, I am doing an educational video about "private key" on: August 18, 2019, 07:53:29 AM
Private key, what other function that private key has other than to use it to unlock your account and what other function does address have other than an identification of a particular account and an address for receiving fund, I think there is nothing to be learn about private keys here.

You would have just channeled this energy used for this tutorial into making people really understand the blockchain technology, because if there is anything to be learnt right now, it would be blockchain technology and not private key. You could have even done tutorial for cryptocurrency generally if you really want to drive traffic to you YouTube for you to make the AdSense money because I know that is your goal. I am not sure that you will get much people to go start leaning private keys for what?
1847  Economy / Economics / Re: Advice on how best to protect your capital on: August 17, 2019, 06:38:22 PM
No one should be trusting anything they see in this crypto space cause there are lots of scammers here and there. I have seen some projects that looked too good to be true but at the end they all turned out to be nothing but fake, and some people also fell for projects like these and got scammed of their hard earned money which is very bad.

You shouldn’t trust any projects that doesn’t show who the devs are. There are also those that makes use of identity, claiming to be those that they are not and at the end you will get to find out that they are not who they claim to be. So as long as you decide to invest in cryptocurrency, you should always make sure that you’re aware of all these kinds of problems and avoid them. If you decide that you’re not going to do your research then that’s your own problems and you’re only going to end up getting scammed and that’s it.
1848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best place to find a GOOD team for new crypto? on: August 17, 2019, 03:56:05 PM
If someone had an idea for a coin with a purpose, where would be the best place to get help? If it's a good idea, that's just the beginning.  Getting it done before someone else does it would be nice.  That is assuming it hasn't been done.  Who can keep up these days?
Whatever team you are getting must be someone that is familiar with blockchain, and someone that is well none to you and has the same push for success as you because most people that we have now are just after the money in the ICOS, the only drives that they have is the drive to make raise money, and  not establish projects, so to get a team that you can really use, you could just look within you first, and look for some of your friends that you have known who you believe would have the passion same as you, and be careful not to divulge everything about it out at one as there are some friend that could easily betray you and after getting your idea would want to hijack it and then go for their own separate project using the idea given to them.
1849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do i realize my dream on: August 17, 2019, 03:28:17 PM
Wow, this is much of a big question to answer. Should you own an exchange or not? I know that presently, the market is too saturated of exchanges because of the low adoption that we still have, which is why you see many projects failing a lot when they release their own exchange, I know of someone that released an exchange and has a very reliable company, despite all the adverts and efforts, they are not getting much attention because of the bigger exchanges that has taken the lead already.

If the year you thought of opening the exchange was when you did, I am sure that your exchange would have been among the recognized ones today, but it still not a bad idea to own one, but you have to make sure that you have it in mind that the light of your exchange might not shine to the world till like 4 years if you constantly do push it.
1850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Longest Winning Streak in a Dice Game on: August 17, 2019, 01:13:30 PM
Martingale sucks, the best way to minimize from gambling is just get out when you starts to feel that you are more lucky today because that brings over confidence to use which keep asking us to bet again and again until we lose everything.
Is there any better adjective for suck? If there is, then I think it will be better used here because martingale is a fucking sucking strategy. I used this on a game 2 days ago and I lost all my money, it felt good at the beginning but man; the end of the game was heartbreaking.

We should learn to reduce so much confidence in gambling. This is destructive and makes us loose our money so quickly. I am sure its one of the reasons for my loss. I still feel very heartbroken meditating on how the game played on, how I thought I was going to cash out big and how I ended up going home with nothing. It wasn’t a nice experience at all.
1851  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: August 17, 2019, 12:43:55 PM
--snip
I am not saying THAT guy is not like that, I am saying lets say there are 100 people who have won over 1 million tickets (there are surely more but it is just example) I am only saying all 100 can't be like that, SOME must have bought their tickets, this doesn't mean 90 of those people bought their tickets, this doesn't mean 50, it just means SOME, I don't know the number I am not the support here you would probably know about it but even if 1% of all people who have bought over 1 million did it that means there is SOME people doing it.

Hence, what I was trying to say, some people are idiots enough to purchase that many tickets thinking they could corner the market with having most of the tickets but in the end that is not how lottery works and someone with 50 tickets could win it all.
1852  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who are Bitcoin users today? Who are you, %username%? on: August 17, 2019, 08:41:03 AM
Supplying details of how we do things here is not even good at all as most information supply here are used by hacker to get rid of people files or wallet .

If you want to know much about a project or an exchange read about them join their group and ask their support , just seems you are in to something and believe getting info from us will be a better way to host it soon , it will be good for research purpose but mainly most use it to even do more evil in the space.
If you check the questionnaire carefully, there is no way that hackers can use those information against us, there are some vital things that hackers can use against us that he did ask, if he was asking of our wallet address, username, names or things that will make our accounts to easily be traceable, then I would have been the one to personally go against it.

The only aspect that I don’t like about the survey is just the part where he mentioned country, we don’t know who that result could get to, and will be shocked at the participant from a particular country which may lead to a government official that never even knew its fellow citizens where participating that much in crypto, which may lead them to keeping an eye on crypto for their citizens now, especially now that US is looking for everything to get information of cryptocurrency users from exchanges.
1853  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pricing everyday items in SATs on: August 17, 2019, 07:57:21 AM
Sure, that is the stage where bitcoin will eventually get to, where things will now be paid for in satoshi and not in bitcoin, if we really are to adopt it as payment for goods, we have to be able to purchase things in satoshi which the opportunity is still there, although it is still the same thing when we have our figures in 0. Btc amount, we are still indirectly spending satoshi and I think majority of us has even spent satoshi more than we have spent bitcoin, just that we did not tie the name to bitcoin.

What I will just like to ask is when satoshi eventually becomes like $1, and we have still not disconnect from fiat, how would we buy things in the market that are priced less than $1usd since satoshi is still the lowest denomination for bitcoin now.
1854  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Uncomfortable Truth on: August 17, 2019, 07:00:44 AM
Do you think that bitcoin is more expensive than the normal traditional bank charges for transactions, especially when it comes to transactions that are crossing border, I think the people that might be complaining about this most is people that are using it within the state, but when it comes to international payment, bitcoin remains the cheapest thing to ever use.

I remember that in my country, if I have to pay like $4000 bill, I will pay 10 percent of it to the bank, also pay sift and one other fix charge in my local currency which is extremely too much, and I think this is why banks are fighting it because that is where those cheats call banks are exploiting people really, and bitcoin has really save one in this a lot and also saved my business from the hands of traditional banks.
1855  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: August 16, 2019, 07:39:04 PM
Maybe that guys case it was like that but seriously there is only one guy above 400 bitcoin wagered right now and outside of top 5 there is really not many people who can have millions upon millions of tickets neither. This happens literally every week and you are telling us every single week there is some dude who gambles over 400 bitcoins and gets that many tickets?

I still don't believe that its that common, maybe one or two people but in general there MUST BE some people who buy a ton of tickets as well, its not that ridiculous to think that people would buy tickets too, same with lambo, I am sure they are getting bot lottery ticket and lambo ticket and gambling a ton but there must be some people who directly buy thousands even millions of tickets as well, its just about which side is more common but it can't be only this method, it must be both methods.
1856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Choose Lottery Instead Of Anything Else? on: August 16, 2019, 05:42:34 PM
as a free lancer that accept a lot of job offers in the internet lottery is one of my favorite
type of gambling even though the chance of winning is almost impossible. unlike other gambling it doesn't require much of attention that can take your time.

I do not do that. I do not prefer lottery over a solid investment and the reason behind it is the low odds of success in lottery. You are not likely to win a lottery unless you put in huge money to own the maximum tickets possible. I prefer to invest in coins like Bitcoin and Eth. The long term prospects of growth could be very high if you are bale to invest the money at a good initial price in the coins.
You are not alone bro, I am not into lotteries because I see it as a total waste of money. It takes 1 among 10,000 players that get a lottery ticket to win and it annoying. Why would I commit my money into a game I am very much aware would not be easy to win. This is simply the reason I do not play at all. It has completed zero chance of winning. Gambling is still better, at least before trying 5 different games, one would definitely win one.

I see lottery players as excessively rich people that only need an avenue to waste money with the hope of investment. They understand it might not yield result, but they just want to do it to fulfill the obligation that they tried and most times very busy people that do not have time for gambling while believing that lottery is also a form of gambling.
1857  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is parlay an effective betting strategy? on: August 16, 2019, 05:00:05 PM
For me gambling is a place where looking for pleasure, not the full profit, if fully looking for profit we will be encouraged to play unhealthy or out of control and result in losses.
That's right, that's being realistic since we know that we have less chances in gambling compared to other forms of venture in making money.

I also think that gambling is good if you treat it for full entertainment only and just forget if you loss and not take it seriously where it will make you come up with an experiment just for the hope of making money because that's too costly since this involves money, and the more you gamble, the more money you need to be able to do it.
I am very sure that those professional gamblers would quote you wrong on this. The general believe is that gambling is for money making and only few gamblers would accept gambling as a place of entertainment. I am even aware there are categories of people that no longer work or do another thing to get money but rather depend solely on gambling to make money and take care of their needs. This is one thing that breaks my heart the most, like seriously? Where did this believe come from? A game that was meant for fun suddenly turns occupation to some certain people? It’s absurd I must say.

I think the aim of strategies, if at all necessary, should be for improvement in playing. I never use strategies, so I am not in a position to tell which is effective or not.
1858  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Savings Vs Investment? on: August 16, 2019, 04:10:12 PM
Now it's hard to choose what's right. Saving is afraid of inflation, investment is afraid of psychology of FOMO.  Huh
And spending wrecks you, you cannot run away from all, you just have practice one in other to stay financially strong, no decision is easy to take, life is full of risk and we just have to make some decisions out of risk believing that such decision will not backfire for us but rather work for us. Saving and investment might have their own negative side, but a serious minded person will focus on the positive side of it and bring out the best out of the negative.

I think you have to do both for future sake, so that when things are not running smoothly, you will be able to have something string that will bail you out in that period.  I have been in a situation where I lost my job for some couple of months, but while I was working, I invested in a mini business and that was what really came forth for me.
1859  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The 7 Best Cryptocurrency Exchanges Everyone Should Know on: August 16, 2019, 03:34:31 PM
I seriously don’t know that many Cryptocurrency Exchanges to begin with. I think going that far the list is just unrealistic for majority including myself. I would prefer using something like Coinbase, Binance and several such names. With having these kind of option to work through, it just gives better giving to all and enhances the opportunity as far making returns are concern. So I for sure will say that these are some very finest exchange to use.
I am not sure that you really opened that link up or you are probably seeing some doubles because the exchanges that you mentioned here are not different from what he has listed in the link too and you can re-open it to confirm, although the only thing with your own link is that it is a little bit more comprehensive as we could see beyond the 7 great exchanges that he listed, and even if we stop at that 7, I think whoever use out of those 7 exchanges would never have any reason to regret it.

Binance ought to have been the best exchanges with the standard they started with, but unfortunately with all these security issues, I think they have lost a little bit from being the most reliable and I think I will give it to Kucoin for now, they are quite new, but they are trying.
1860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: investing does not have to wait long on: August 16, 2019, 01:22:30 PM
what are your goals by investing? yes I think everyone wants to benefit from investment and trade. given the market situation is not yet fully stable, I'm sure you can still benefit from them.
I mean investing does not have to wait long, you can sell it at any time, when you see your coins above the initial capital price.
Well that’s the truth for some people, they don’t really have enough money for investment but they just want to take the risk and for people like this it is always best for them to withdraw when they have got a little profit so that they don’t end up losing the little money they have managed to invest. You may only continue with the hold when you feel like the price is still going to increase, but if it’s not like that then it is best that you withdraw and manage the little profit you have got.

Bitcoin must not be the only thing that would make you rich, there are other things that you can involve yourself into and still make some good earnings and become rich as well. So let’s stop thinking that bitcoin can give us everything, cause it cannot. Try to do other things and not let bitcoin swallow up your money unless you have enough to risk.

In every case, it's best not to sell at a lose because that would be a bad investment decision.
Yup, you’re right about what you have said, everyone do have Their own target for investing but it’s not a must you will achieve those targets, cause there are times the market wouldn’t move to the direction that would lead you to your targets. So at this point you will have no other option than to still take that little profit that you have gotten, if you decide it would be a must for you to achieve that target then you’re likely going for a loss. Another reason why you should try to invest at low market price, because at this rate you wouldn’t have to worry about the market falling price.
