I would not accept Bitcoin as my salary for different reasons. First of all: the price can anytime go down even with 1000$ like it happened with China banning ICO's( the price went down 1500$ in 2-3 days). The second reson is the fees for exchanging it to fiat. It would take at least a 10% fee only on exchangers plus taxes to government
You got your reasons, but bitcoin price is 4.300$ and rising, that 1.500$ drop didn't last for long.. Risk is if you have family and just one source of income, less risk is if you have some saving in bank and plus you earn bitcoins, then when you are in need you can use that saved money and keep bitcoins until price rise. If there is option for receiving salary in bitcoins I would use it, that depends a lot from country you live in. I have more trust in bitcoin then in my currency, if situation in my country is better I probably wouldn't think about it, but now I need to risk if I wish to have more, if not I'm on a edge. |

Market cap is at $71B and it will just grow bigger. I don`t think that rise is over, until the end of the year price will be 5.000$ again, slowly and with a lot of fluctuations we will be there in next 90 days. Price rise if far from over, bitcoin can settle on some price and stay there that doesn`t need to mean something special.
In the end what if price go back to 3.000$ again, that will be second chance for those who didn`t buy bitcoins with a discount in the first time. Honestly I don`t believe in another drop on 3.000$, with bitcoins anything can happen we all know that, just my feeling and experience tells me that we will not see that drop.

I use 2FA, on couple places SMS verification. I think I'm protected, until now I didn't have any problems on internet, I'm careful as I can be but I think that we are vulnerable if we become targets of some genius hackers. Luckily they have good paying jobs, or with knowledge they have I doubt they will attack us little people for couple dollars. That's why it's not good to go around and talk how you have a lot of bitcoins, or that you are very rich. Don't draw attention to yourself and there will not be any problems with hackers that wish to steal from you.

Depends from what kind of wallet do you have, and did you use bitcoin mixer before you send them to final destination. If you have for example electrum wallet and after you bought bitcoins on coinbase, bitstamp or where ever, and you run that bitcoins trough bitcoin mixer and final destination will be anonymous, your wife can't do nothing about it, here lawyers can't do nothing about that. In case you use some wallet where you have left your ID, your documents then your bitcoins will be found easily and half goes to your wife. I have nothing against girls, but she will go to fuck with another moron and why I need to pay for that. She work she have her money and I don't wish to be their sponsor and pay alimony while they enjoy. |

OP wish to speak about percents, 10% from his salary, from mine, and for example from some Norwegian guy are 3 different amounts of money. 10 percents from my salary is 20-30$ if you can believe in that. I earn more money on bitcoin then with my regular salary. One more important things is that before I couldn't save, all my salary is not enough for decent life. I worked couple jobs in same moment to have enough, with bitcoins I now I have two jobs and I finally have some extra money for saving, and I save in crypto currencies, not just bitcoins I think some altcoins will have bright future too.
Invest how much you can, forget about percents, buy bitcoins and some other altcoins when ever you can. I started with bitcoins long time ago and I didn't invest nothing, with gambling, trading I managed to cash out when I needed money, to gamble and trade and from this year I started to save. Good luck and believe in bitcoin.

At least banks still generates an income to our deposited money, from saving or current accounts. If you want a bigger income then you should also increase your deposits, as simple as that. Banking is the safest way to store our money because it is protected and they can't run us, there are laws requlated by the government.

we need to have more support before we can see that the value will be again rise up to its new ath, but seemingly that you are correct we need to wait till we will see more positive news regarding to bitcoin, 4k maybe are still possible if there's some turned around this week. It would be nice to see 4.000$ before next month but looks like price will stay where it is now. That is good, price made big increase from beginning of this year until couple month's ago and maybe it will good to be here for a while. Like many others here I also gamble with bitcoins, I earn bitcoins from campaign then I trade or gamble with bitcoins it would be a little trouble to gamble with some altcoin cause I don't earn them, I need to buy them in some exchanger and then send it to casino whybto do that when I can gamble with bitcoins directly.

Its not a joke, this already happened and I think that OP saw somewhere how people who bought bitcoin for 10$ 7 years ago are now multimillionaires. ETH was one of my missed opportunities, I saw ETH here when it was couple cents worth now it worth couple hundred dollars. There will be similar alt-coins that will make big rise in the future, but nobody can tell you which coin and when will that happen, maybe in 5 or 10 years. Till now no official statement has been issued that will Amazon introduce new mode of payment i.e. Bitcoin in their system. But as for now nearly 5,381 petitioners have signed the campaign in demand of introduction of bitcoin in the system so Amazon might think upon it. Also, Amazon was one of the early e-commerce trading companies and many new e-commerce companies follow its foot-step if they legalize Bitcoin then many other e-commerce companies and other companies may also start accepting the bitcoins. Hence making it as a new revolution.

People came, play online, and have fun and they are gone so profit is with owners and story ends. There is laws and regulations, I think that this decision about bitcoin acceptance is not supermarket and their CEOs. We wish to be rich cause we think that we can buy everything we need with money, but that is wrong. You can't buy health, or happiness, uoi can't buy peace with money. System needs to work and that's why kids go to schools, later in college if they are smart, prisons are full with people who wished to be rich in another way, can you see what connects them? Being rich is just a way for us to buy things we wish to have, paying for other things that we wish to do, or to try.
We wish to be rich cause we don't know any other way to get to the things we wish. We are afraid to ask girl to go out cause we don't have enough for dinner and good wine. Deep inside I think that we can have all the good things in the world without money.
