1901  Economy / Speculation / Re: Galaxy CEO analyzes possible behavior of Bitcoin on: April 14, 2022, 01:07:32 PM
Everyone would agree with him if you are bullish on bitcoin, this guy is bullish on bitcoin and therefore all his analysis are bullish. However, we cannot blame him because although some of his predictions are exaggerated, but if we follow him, we can still be profitable especially if we know how to hold and to buy at the right timing.

I believe that this will happen, but not in the near future.
1902  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 14, 2022, 12:21:43 PM
I managed to hit all 3 of my bets yesterday. Cavs with the spread. Nets to win outright. Then a multi-bet with the Nets and Wolves winning. I’m not sure who I’ll take today. Maybe the Hornets with the spread and the Pelicans to win outright. I feel pretty good about the Pelicans being able to beat the Spurs, but the Hornets game could really go either way in my opinion. I feel like the Hornets have a pretty good chance to cover the spread though as long as their young guys don’t choke under pressure. I don’t think they will.
Cheers to you then. I didn't win anything at all at those games. Got to get it back now.
I believe the Spurs could win this against the Pelicans. They are struggling and it was the McCollum trade that made it possible for them to enter the play-in. Spurs on the other hand had won 3 of their 4 meeting against this team. Ingram's status is out but noted as probable.
Spurs +5.5

On the other side, I am betting for the Atlanta Hawks -5.5. Good luck to all.

Atlanta Hawks was a cool bet for us, as if we have seen that they can cover the spread and that's what they did and have some for spare.

That was too easy for the Hawks, they dominated the whole game and if you bet on them, you won't feel the thrill while watching because you already know your bet will win, that's what you called "easy money". Anyway, they'll be up next against the Cavaliers, I think they'll still dominate seeing how the Nets dominated the Cavaliers too.

Quote
But for the Spurs, it was a complete disaster, as they allowed the Pelicans to take a commanding lead and trying to play catch up is very hard specially if you are away from home.

Spurs knows how to come back but does not know how to win.  Smiley
1903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 14, 2022, 11:14:57 AM
I just hope that KAT will not be fouled out again in this series because it will be a huge problem for them if he will not play at the final minutes of the game.

Was there really a problem at the last minute?

When KAT was still playing, the Clippers were already ahead, it was only when KAT was out the Timberwolves did a great job with their own run to win. These young guys are so hungry for a win, although they are playing against an experience team, but they didn't panic, they keep their compusure and able to win the game.
1904  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN will rise on: April 13, 2022, 11:27:41 PM
It seems you are too optimistic if the price of bitcoin can reach $50K in the near future, I don't know what is your reasoning if bitcoin can reach $50K by the end of April?
It doesn't hurt to be optimistic to see bitcoin price hit $50K again during April, it's always possible although not certain. Sometimes you don't have to wait for investors who come with a bag of fresh money to invest so the price goes up, but you just need to pay attention to day traders who are also able to raise prices after some positive fundamentals are in place.

Whales aren't in full control of the market, small investors, and traders can move the prices as well. Yes, we put some consideration of their influence in the market, however, the situation doesn't look great, the market didn't show strong resistance and the price went declining.
I don't make off with that optimism but sometimes have to accept the reality that sometimes we fail in our target.

The current price of Bitcoin is $41k, and we are in the middle of April not that very close to $50k.
1905  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Using a Stop loss "Good" or "Bad" on: April 13, 2022, 10:41:36 PM
The stop-loss strategy has been used for our benefit.
It helps to cut you down from losing more and this become useful during the bear season. Thus, if you are in trading, you can really appreciate its importance, in fact, the majority of the traders had used this for the said reason.

It is GOOD or BAD? Depends on what is your purpose for using this but for me, it was a useful strategy.

I haven't used this strategy up until now as I am mostly using the spot trading. But based from what I am reading, many people are attesting about the usefulness of this strategy to avoid huge losses. So in my opinion, it really depends on the trader himself. It can be his savior if he is not keeping up with his trades.
Absolutely, many appreciate this strategy as they know how to use it and have seen the benefits but for some who never try, that is certainly nothing good for them. That is why I encourage you to try this as this will surely help you from losing more and to know what really you have got. But honestly, this becomes useful during the bear season and if you are not on the computer leaving your trade unfilled.
1906  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: April 13, 2022, 02:06:35 PM
Both Thompson and Brownlee deserves the award that they got and no fixing made there. The fixing is on the game itself and not on the awards.
If you are watching PBA playoffs for quite some time, you will that there are some games that are fixed. Of course there are no evidences to it but as an audience you can make a theory that they are doing it.
Game fixing or not, I think it would be better if we will just enjoy watching. There has been no games for a very long time because of the pandemic so.. lets just enjoy watching the game and support the team that we want to support Smiley.

There’s a chance that game fixing is involved since PBA is monopolized by private company and we all know that viewership is what makes this franchise profitable. This is a Ginebra game which has the most number of fans in PBA. It will be a waste if the Championship will end with a one sided match. I’m this will be a game 7 series not because of the matching fixing accusation but rather the 2 team has close stats.

The gate entrance alone, they are already making millions of pesos per game because people are really watching the game to support the Ginebra Kings. I have a feeling that this series will reach game 7, they are already comfortable playing each other, seemed like they already practice how to lose or win.  Grin
1907  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't punic, just hodl on: April 13, 2022, 01:14:30 PM
Bitcoin is future coin. So don't lose it. Hold the coins long time. If want to sell the bitcoin wait for the price increase. Then sell it. .............

Stick to your plan, if you don't have any, then that is wrong.

You won't be able to hold bitcoin forever, you will have to find a way to enjoy your investment, and that is when you are already satisfied with its price.
So without a goal or target, you'll never know when to pull the trigger.
1908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: April 13, 2022, 12:50:57 PM
Majority of the vote, voted for Alvarez but I wouldn't surprise with that I look at his footwork and agility training as well as real match footage you would see that he is really a good fighter but Bivol is not also an easy opponent with a 19-0 standing with a 58% KO ratio.

Let's see, Canelo has defeated plenty of undefeated fighters in the past, so this is not new to him, and the fact that he agrees to fight Bivol, that tells us that he can handle the power of Bivol. I still think he would win this fight, maybe not by KO but his boxing skills will dominate.

I think it's not that he can handle the power of Bivol, it's more of his talent against the best of this division. He has conquered this once, and for sure he knows that he can do it again even against the best of this division. That's why he is willing to fight the champion which is Bivol. And again, his granite chin can hold against the best of 168 lbs or even at 175 against Kovalev. So I wouldn't be surprised if Bivol's power doesn't have any effect on Canelo.

We are going to see that, however, I don't think that Canelo will just allow Bivol to hit him. He has a good timing, head movement and everything that makes him win the fight. They are big boxers, they are not fast but Canelo has that ability to dodge the punches and go for the right counter punch.

In short, Canelo is a smart volume puncher.
1909  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does staking even make any sense on: April 12, 2022, 10:58:59 PM
How do people even enjoy staking their coins and tokens? I'm confused, yesterday I tried to stake some amount of stable coin aka USDT on Binance Exchange and it is worth 1000$ but the return on this in a year is 95$ lol, I laughed so hard that I almost flipped my laptop, why the heck people doing this?.
Perhaps, $95 is already big compared to what you get upon depositing your $1000 in the bank. Does have any banks give you that percentage return? Probably, no.

For you, it never makes sense but for those who just hold their crypto and wanted to grow their money through staking, that was much appreciated. Plus, they never pay taxes unlike if you put your money in the bank.

Well, it wasn't a big issue if people do staking, putting their money in the bank, or do trading. They'll choose where they feel comfortable.

The sad part is he was not informed early until it was leaked to ESPN. Ouch! Surprises. Lakers management does love that.  Grin
Now the roster, we might be surprised too in the next days to come or before the season starts again. I bet they are going to overhaul that roster again and seek players that are younger. Who knows, they might be done with making a veteran lineup again.
Where would Howard go that will make him more productive and be back with 20+ minutes per game? I wish a team signs him up. It's too cheap for just $2.6M for an agile 37 years old.
He will be a great asset for this era being dominated by 3 giant players.

Well! that's just how it is if the management doesn't like the result of your hard work and you failed to give them the championship they wanted to further expand their profits from the Lakers merchandise and other stuff. The question is, who will gonna replace Frank after this season? I'm sure it will be a huge challenge for whoever it will be because they will gonna overhaul the entire roosters and they gonna trade Westbrook

Coach is probably not a problem, Lakers can afford to hire a good coach and I'm pretty sure there are a lot of coaches who are just waiting for the big opportunity. By the way you read read this article, it will give us an idea on who will be the best candidate for the Lakers coaching job.

Lakers coaching candidates: 25 possible options -- from the obvious to ridiculous -- to replace Frank Vogel

1913  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How I quickly research on any crypto before investment. on: April 11, 2022, 08:54:58 PM
By simply doing the research, you can answer all the questions that you have in your mind. Why and Why?
And there are things we need to consider upon choosing them and certainly, we need to find upon doing the research,
1. Legality
2. market volume
3. Purpose of the project

We shouldn't have missed these things otherwise we are putting ourselves at higher risk.

1914  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Understanding "When" to trade. on: April 08, 2022, 02:16:28 PM
Trading requires strategies and works on individuals differently, trading Bitcoin on weekends is just a No but I scalp altcoins if there is enough trading volume to consume large orders and not some shotcoins that will make you trapped. The best time I trade bitcoin is when Newyork exchange opens because of the effect of Bitcoin ETF, some times there used to be an open gap that traders naturally like to fill before the weekends and not just that, Bitcoin do get attached to traditional stocks like Dow J and S&P 500.

Strategies may vary and so the results. Day-trading, scalping, etc., will choose the option and strategy that we think will work perfectly or at least.
I'd also consider special events when trading and many factors to consider, however, this never means that we are safe and profitable with this strategy. Of course, choosing the coins we use for trading us really has a huge impact on the results.

I'd choose not to trade weekends, not even during the holidays seasons. I'd preferred when the market is very active and when the trade volume is high.
1915  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Metamask airdrop is coming on: April 08, 2022, 01:39:44 PM
Well, I feel not excited, not even I think about it, I simply don't just expect. Let see...

https://www.thecryptoinsight.com/2022/03/how-to-become-eligible-for-the-metamask-airdrop.html
Perhaps, so many qualified users that receive the airdrop, I'd just wonder how much they possibly get or if the amount is worth enough? I guess we don't think about $100 each. I'm not sure but the Metamask will never spend huge amount for free.
1916  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is this a start of bull rally in ALTCOIN? on: April 08, 2022, 12:32:38 PM
indeed the crypto market is currently increasing, but it is very difficult to determine with certainty whether this is the beginning of a bull run rally, because I see that until now the price of altcoins is still very volatile in the market, most likely the price will decline again and it could also rise again, the point is that we must always be careful in dealing with the current market situation,

Increasing how? have you seen the https://coinmarketcap.com/? looks like the market is in red now, bitcoin is down 3.62% in the last 7 days, so it doesn't say that it's increasing now. The pump maybe just a fake pump or a bull trap, let's see if the price will recover again, but one thing is sure, there's no bull run yet.
1917  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] George Kambosos vs Devin Haney - Undisputed Lightweight Title - June 5 on: April 08, 2022, 12:04:12 PM
^^ This is the first time that he will defend his belt and sport bookies might have taken that into consideration that's why he is not the underdog.

However, it might be a good bet for Kambosos fans, maybe he is hype or his win against Teo is just fluke. Nevertheless, it seems that fires have been shot already, they have started their trash talking and George thrives in this environment so let see how it goes for bettors here.

I think both fighters are risking their belt/s in this fight, whoever wins this fight will become the undisputed champion, so it is really a big fight that we should not miss. Kambasos came from an impressive win, impressive because he was the underdog, but we know Haney's previous fight was just easy for him, so let's see if Kambasos will become a problem on him.

Definitely, all the belts are on the line here, unification fight so everyone is tune in here including Ryan Garcia, Davis or even Teo Lopez (although there is news that he will be going up to 140).

The last fighter that gave Haney a hard fight is Linares, a former champion, and Haney almost went down on that fight on the later rounds if my memory serves me right. But he won thru majority decision.

I think you are right, I remember it now and I guess I'll watch the highlights again. Haney is just a very technical fighter, unlike Teofimo Lopez when he fought Kambasos, he was thinking of knocking him down, so he lose his focus early in the game.
1918  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this true? on: April 08, 2022, 10:57:30 AM
...

It's not like that either, it would not be a wise decision to release the project in a bear market. If the market sinks into a prolonged bear season, it could kill the project as it is not easy to attract capital as well as users.

If the project is serious, we will make a big profit when the market rebounds but we will easily lose if the project does not survive the bear season. High risk, so better choose bitcoin and topcoins to hold in bear market.
It actually just dies after the release, after the project hits its ATH. If we are familiar to the hypes projects, that is certainly the same strategy, sometimes they use the social media platform and create manipulated reviews to attract investors despite the bear situation coz after the surge, they will just go so fast and unnoticed.

We'd supposed not to bother ourselves with them, we are totally at high risk investing in new projects that have no use-case and promise huge returns, they are just fooling us.
1919  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you using trading indicators? on: April 08, 2022, 10:24:43 AM
Trading indicators are very helpful indeed, but if we use many indicators in one layer it may confuse us,
that is my experience, because I used Tradingview, and tried to use 6 indicators, but unfortunately it didn't help,
and now I only use RSI and only the Trend line, yes indeed a trader has his own way
It helps but not necessarily we have to use them all, yes, some didn't work effectively, we'd better check the chart instead and do TA. And I believe these are more useful than those indicators. In fact, I'd spend more time analyzing the market trend.
RSI and MCAD are usually I'd used and which I found working.

But, in trading, this really matters in our decision-making and strategies. Even though we all are using the same indicator but the results are quite different, of course, not.
1920  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the sign of bull market start on: April 08, 2022, 08:57:09 AM
A bullish market start is a sign that there is a lot of good news being spread on social media,
or historically Bullish came after Bitcoin halving, because it has been proven from the history of Bitcoin experiencing a high pump after the Halving,
and indeed history can change, because starting in 2020 there have been many investors from companies or institutions that enter in cryptocurrencies.
When we say bullish market it should be the whole market, not only bitcoin. However, we cannot achieve a bullish market without bitcoin getting bullish first, in the last bull market, it was bitcoin that was pumping until it has broken its ATH, and then the rest just follow, you know, altcoins are pumping and even hype coins like DOGE are going to the moon, that's an obvious sign that we are in a bull run already.
