1941  Economy / Economics / Re: The swiss are seeing the paper money fraud and are voting on gold backing on: November 02, 2014, 11:52:22 PM
Wise men always choose Gold over bitcoin/money

So are you a wiseman abraham?
abrahamlitcoin is a wiseman because he uses litecoin.
1942  Economy / Economics / Re: When money dies on: November 02, 2014, 10:01:02 PM
No no no no. First, Mises is not a good reference. There is a reason the vast majority of econ professionals look at the Austrian school like an embarrassing little brother.

Second, Bitcoin holds no inherent value, none. There is no transactional benefit in using Bitcoin versus a currency. An internet fad =/= superior system.

Austrian school that is annoying because it is right all the time and the big brother with the power hates being reminded about it all the time.

And thank you for making your view on Bitcoin clear instead of just trolling. My ignore list welcomes you. If I wanted to discuss the dollar I would go to bankrate.com.
This is a big part of why Bitcoin and Mises aren't taken seriously. Folks manage to, at the same time, be supremely sanctimonious and plug their ears of any different lines of thinking.
Yes, but i have the fear the dollar supremacy can reinvent itself and keep growing forever.

1944  Economy / Economics / Re: LakeBTC Suspended from CoinDesk Bitcoin Price Index on: November 02, 2014, 07:42:38 PM
CoinDesk is suspending LakeBTC due to the faulty price ticker which supplied bid/ask values of $0 on 31st Oct.

Damn, I wonder how many exchanges have been demonstrated as nothing but scams thus far. Like 99% of them end up badly.
1945  Economy / Speculation / Re: When Bitcoin will go around 600 BTC again? on: November 02, 2014, 07:24:32 PM

1946  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which mining do you prefer? Cloud mining or Hardware Mining? on: November 02, 2014, 07:21:02 PM
Cloud mining. The noise from hardware miners drivers me literally insane. Hardware miners are only cool if you live in siberia or something.
1947  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: new to bit coin on: November 02, 2014, 05:45:24 PM
First lesson, its bitcoin not bit coin.

It's Bitcoin not bitcoin.  Smiley
Anyway OP, forget about mining, in any way shape or form. Just convert your wealth into Bitcoin, or go search for some services to offer in the marketplace sobuforum. Thats how you get Bitcoin thse days. The dream of mining a lot of Bitcoin and going rich is over.
1948  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which is best way to earn bitcoins in these days? on: November 02, 2014, 03:38:05 PM
You earn them. You're not going to get them from some easy method so you have to put in a bit of work. Trade, hold, do a signature campaign, offer services, sell goods, whatever.

And thats exactly why Bitcoin is crashing. People expect free money from it, when they see it isn't free money, they say "whatever, if im going to continue being poor, why even bother?"

1950  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My great nan about to die on: November 02, 2014, 03:19:08 PM
You'll be happy that your grandma has died because get money, in return you'll invest in BTC and it will keep crashing lower, then you'll panic sell and it will start going up again, then you'll join your grandma soon after.
1951  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Price is crashing people!! get out while you can!! on: October 18, 2014, 11:34:48 AM

1956  Economy / Economics / Re: Will there ever be another crypto boom similar to BTC in my lifetime? on: October 17, 2014, 08:28:50 PM
Find an altcoin that you have faith in. Something that is different and in some way better than the rest. Study market trends, check out different coins, find one that is under valued and buy as much as you possibly can. This is how warren buffet made his billions in the stock market. By finding a company that was undervalued by everyone else but he saw potential in. Then he loaded up on the stock and waited.

I would suggest Supercoin or Myriadcoin. Both have a TON of potential. I have a very large amount invested in SUPERcoin. It's technology is better than all other anon coins and it is so cheap right now. Buy for 500 satoshi and eventually it could be $1 or $10 per coin. Read, read, read... talk to people, study the charts, make a decision based on the information and you'll do just fine.

There isn't a single coin out there that can outdo Bitcoin, no reason to think any existing coin can overtake Bitcoin's spot, therefore, no reason to think there will be a x1000000 whatever price explosion like Bitcoin had. You could get some cash out of alts, but not rich, unless you hit a really lucky scenareo as greatle described by poster xmasdobo.
1957  Economy / Speculation / Re: This week is critical for bitcoin. on: October 17, 2014, 05:10:22 PM
I'm quite sure bitcoin will recover. Just hold guys, you'll see the light in time. If you have doubts, google bitcoin, go to the news tab, and read the many encouraging articles written daily by innovators and academics alike. Every day a new rich person understands, it's just a matter of time

We need it to go from "innovators and academics" towards "common folk usage". The question is how in hell do we get there.
1958  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it possible that 1 BTC be worth $2,000 by the end of 2015? on: October 17, 2014, 03:58:56 PM
The last 1K rally took literally days.. so you never know. Realistically and judging by my own TA, we will not see ATH again until 2015+
1959  Economy / Speculation / Re: If You're Not Buying Bitcoin Now... Then You're Just Stupid. on: October 17, 2014, 01:47:46 PM
The 21 million doesn't mean much really. The decimal point can be moved around. You would still need to go through a middle man to exchange btc to local currency for remittances. How exactly is btc going to lift the third world out of poverty? Many btc holders have already fallen victim to theft, and many more will in the future. People of the world won't suddenly turn to btc in the face of economic collapse.

Because the unbanked of the world will now be able to save their money. As the value of each bitcoin increases dramatically over the next few years, they will finally be able to accumulate wealth, free from corrupt government influences within their countries that would desire to confiscate it.

How can you possibly save wealth when there are savages everywhere that can rob and rape our family anytime? stability is needed first before third worlders can even hope to relax and acculumate wealth. Yes, BTC is great, but you are being delusional.
1960  Economy / Speculation / Re: Losing faith on: October 17, 2014, 12:31:19 PM
Bitcoins price is too bloated to promise people easy riches. And that has been the main attraction to buy BTC.
BTC's large market cap is made out of artificial deficit and fraudulent trading by MtGox's bots and fantasy fiat.
So, now the market will just slowly run dry while new alternatives emerge that have better technological properties and a smaller market cap, that will attract the get rich quick gamblers again.

Bitter troll who missed out on any gains posting negative tripe again. You reference get rich quick gamblers, oh the irony. If alt coins are so amazing, why devote any wasted time on here at all?

Well, how he isn't completely spot on with this:

Quote
Bitcoins price is too bloated to promise people easy riches. And that has been the main attraction to buy BTC.

It doesn't get any more accurate than this. The main attraction, excluding crypto nerds that love the technology, for Bitcoin, has been storing wealth and hoping it goes up with time. That's that. The common folk is not interested in consuming with Bitcoin. How can you prove this wrong? It's the cold hard fact. And when the common folk sees they cannot get much profit anymore, Bitcoin will become a game of rich people, just like Gold. It will be digital Gold, not digital currency as we know it. That's that.
