1941  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Corona Virus was predicted but it will soon vanish on: March 17, 2020, 08:31:12 AM
Even after few news about some part of the world beating this virus I'm scared that the damages are only just getting started, is stock market stayed after be expecting more drops in coming days and Bitcoin can still go down to 3k again
Bitcoins broke the strong support today so it might be expected that bitcoins rally back to 3K just to create a double bottom and than it would experience a huge pump which would land up bitcoins above $5000 again with the strong support.

We can see that this epidemic is been spread all across the globe and national institutes have started caring about their people and also specific precautions are been taken to avoid getting widely spread. The infected ones are been kept in the isolated quarantines which would avoid the spread of the disease. We might expect a better news regarding the corona virus and it would suddenly bring the price for bitcoins as well as the stocks back to normal.
1942  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: More Damages to Crypto Market on: March 16, 2020, 06:52:00 PM
That real trading between countries are the one that causes for bitcoin to drop as well. Not just that of course but when a whole worlds finances start to rot, where do you think the money comes from? I mean you saw what happened to stock market, why did that happened to stock market? Just because companies wouldn't be making same amount of profit this year so the stock price went down? In order for the stock prices to go down you need to have sellers.

Bitcoin had a lot of people who got affected in their life so they had to sell and get that money back so they could continue their life decently, at least not bankrupt. You can't expect people who are in financial trouble to keep their money in crypto forever, eventually they will end up selling their coins to pay off debt and bills.
1943  Economy / Economics / Re: Help of cryptocurrency in globalization. on: March 16, 2020, 06:20:42 PM
I don’t see the possibilities of that happening. The way I see it, things are going to remain as it is and Bitcoin will just remain an asset that will be used by those who wants to make use of it, I only hope that it is declared legal in every country so that it can be accessed by everyone.

You might be wondering why I said it can’t be adopted by the government but they can only just declare it as legal asset, reason is that Bitcoin can’t be regulated, and that’s what the government is all about – having control over everything and they won’t adopt BTC since they can’t control it. But I do think that it might be possible for them to control BTC if they join hands together, though they will never agree to that.
1944  Economy / Economics / Re: Start investing so you can quit your job and retire early. on: March 16, 2020, 05:15:56 PM
Investing is good but anyone who is investing should mind the kind of investment they do, it’s not every asset you see that you should be investing in, and you risk tolerance matters a lot. If you don’t want to take a high risk then you should go for less risky investments.

Bitcoin is not the only investment I am into, I know that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are volatile, so when I invest, I set out a particular amount of money for cryptocurrency and invest around 70 – 90% of the money in Bitcoin and the remaining goes to others, especially Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin. Then other investments I consider are bonds and similar annual Investments.
1945  Economy / Economics / Re: Coin prices down 25% to 30% this morning. on: March 16, 2020, 04:41:16 PM
I was expecting stock markets to crash because those are business' and any business who doesn't get affected by the corona virus at least gets affected by the economical troubles it has caused and the others are directly related to it. However, I wasn't expecting bitcoin to drop, you can't really tell me there is a connection, not like we exchange bitcoins at hand, we do not really spend it everywhere neither, it is not a business, basically nothing that affects bitcoin at all.

On top of that it doesn't really affect altcoins even further, you can say bitcoin was affected because there is a general impact on economy and bitcoin became part of it but altcoins are still quite small, how could they ever change anything by going down or up, they are still irrelevant if you ask me but they were impacted as well for some reason.
1946  Economy / Economics / Re: Coronavirus is very harmful to fiat currencies, not bitcoin on: March 16, 2020, 03:46:32 PM
Bitcoin wasn’t able to hold that position for long. Though I’m suspecting that Coronavirus is not the only reason why the price of Bitcoin decreased as of recent. A lot of things have happened and they must have all affected Bitcoin price.

After my research it seems like experts have not come to know what exactly caused the decrease in price. Some of them have said that Coronavirus is the reason since every other market were affected , so why not?. Then others are blaming it on miners for not selling out much of their mined coins to the market. And then we have the PlusToken scam. They have not really arrived at any conclusion, these are not even the only things that might have caused.
1947  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: we are so close to HALVING !!!are these dumps CONNECT to halving time??? on: March 16, 2020, 03:08:54 PM
To be fair with you, I'm not 100% certain that this dump is connected to halving. It may well be, though I'm not aware of any source of info connecting to it. However, this volatility has not been seen for ages, if ever, with the market crush of ~30% in just one day, and what's prudent to consider is the virus pandemic which may also have an indirect implication in this  Embarrassed
I completely agree with you because halving has been done earlier too but never before we saw such chaos among traders and the market backbone being broken into two like this. I am quite sure this all happened because of the virus spread and the market being absolutely low in terms of almost everything be it stocks, industries, etc.

A friend of mine was holding around 4 bitcoins since a long time and despite me assuring him that the price will jump back, he actually sold some amount last night and this just tells you the mental state of a common holder because this drop was humongous!
1948  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Practices and habit on: March 16, 2020, 07:25:15 AM

I have a dual monitor so a simple practice would be to kept the chart on the other monitor and a movie on the other monitor, this way you get to see the changes in charts live while also watching a movie. Sometimes I just watch youtube videos in autoplay while the chart still on the other monitor.  Its convenient that I can write in the forum as well. I learned this from a trader friend who is from forex so I applied to to my setup in my root and since then its not a habit.
Forex traders usually even have multiple screens in front of their eyes to keep a watch on multiple charts at the same time.
This might even be adapted into the cryptocurrency trading as this would allow us to work on multiple graphs at the same time.

This might not be available for most of us as it might even cost some extra electricity bills, etc which is been calculated by each of the professional traders. The most beneficial habit for us to be a professional trader would be to keep an watch on income as well as expenditure which would include the trading fees, brokerage fees if applicable, and each and every minute changes.
1949  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BUY with leverage on: March 16, 2020, 06:55:03 AM
The fees you are saying which would be charged per hour is applicable for margin trading only. Margin trading means you can borrow 3X more coins than the actual amount of coins you hold onto your wallet. Margin trading and leverage/futures trading have some differentiation.

You can trade with the futures or the contract by buying 4 contracts worth $1000 each and selling them in the near coming future once you feel the price is on the peak. In leverage trading, you would have to bear some risk of the liquidation price. Your position might be liquidated if ever you did not monitor the liquidation price much closely.
1950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does anyone pay for slandering gambling websites on Bitcointalk? on: March 15, 2020, 04:09:09 PM
what to expect from Jealous sites?specially if the other site offers almost the same or much better than what they can give?
because the way i see it is these so called "Newbies" seems like very knowledgeable about every single things about gambling operation and looks like alt account created just to make this noise?
so for me yes i believe either these are paid to slander or they are part of the team that is affected by the presence of the accused  gambling site.
I agree with you because even if the newbie is making a scam report how come they visit the right section in the forum and make a correct formatted accusation against the casino? This tend of knowledgeable newbie always makes me wonder whether they are old members of forum just making behind a newbie. But, all that said since those newbie cannot prove the casino is a scam how does it even mater?

I mean because they are paid puppets they will only create a thread and later can't prove anything and they stop bashing the casino.

There must be some sort of rule that to create a scam accusation you must deposit maybe 0.001 btc and if you prove your claims you get it back else they are donated to the person being accused.
1951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you stop gambling in a time of crisis? on: March 15, 2020, 03:39:59 PM
To my opinion the key is to find the balance. You don't have to stop gambling entirely but be aware when it's the time to quit and how much is reasonable to lose without having consequences on your finance, it's all about control.
I agree because while there is are tough times ahead there needs to be planning done prior to it but that preparation must not include abandoning your day to day hobbies/habits because that happens when you don't manage your finances properly. According to me there must be some reserve for everyone and in absolute crisis they must spend the reserve but in mediocre situations some good planning and little bit more control over your addictions and habits can help.

Personally I have never been in such crisis unless I call renting and housing things a crisis which to me is how life goes, no one ever gets a perfect life and things like these only shape us a better person overall.
1952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would you do ? on: March 15, 2020, 03:09:59 PM
~snip~
What path would you follow , report the bug ,   or try to benefit from it ?

Report it, I don't want my account be ban in a casino, and if I report it, maybe they'll give me some compensation for my honesty and concern of their website, I know everyone has their own action towards this, but for now, that's what I should do although it might be hard to decide when you are in the actual situation.
It is much easier to say than to actually follow the actions you suggest to others. I am quite sure to all the guys who are saying that they will report the bug most of them will actually exploit it and they might be not wrong either because look you are gambling for money and you get it easily than most of the guys will just grab the easy money and move on.

If you ask me, it depends on the casino and I must admit I would be tempted to use the bug to make some loss back I had on the casino but then I might actually hope that reporting it will get me some bug bonus which will be good enough. Very tricky situation indeed because suppose you exploit the bug and they don't approve your withdraw while if you had reported they gave you a better bonus.
1953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Coronavirus and it’s impact on sporting events - please add on: March 15, 2020, 02:38:29 PM
There are almost all american events delayed and shut down because of the COVID-19 and even the WHO has called corona-virus as pandemic!

Below is the list of all events that are cancelled or re-scheduled amid corona spread:
https://www.cbssports.com/general/news/coronavirus-live-updates-ncaa-tournament-canceled-pga-tour-cancels-players-championship/live/

I first known about NBA being suspended but I knew other league and sports will be affected, and now here it is and definitely we can expect that more and more will be affected on this corona virus pandemic. A little suggestion, you can also add some link of the source info.
You will find the link above useful for the same reason, by the way I believe there should be a better managed OP for all the events with references and maybe the delayed events can be also listed with possible re-scheduled dates.
1954  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it true that Corona Virus may effect trading? on: March 14, 2020, 05:55:49 PM
Affect trading or cryptocurrency? If you mean trading, nah that’s not going to happen, people will keep on trading cryptocurrency just like they are doing now. The only thing is that cryptocurrencies might be affected and their prices might fall to a low price.

Just like what’s happening, although I am not sure as to whether Coronavirus outbreak is why the price of most cryptocurrencies has been decreasing recently, but a lot of stock markets were affected. Bitcoin decreased in price to $7k and we weren’t sure as to what really caused the decrease, some said that Coronavirus outbreak is part of it. And the price has decreased further to $5.9k.
1955  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: we are so close to HALVING !!!are these dumps CONNECT to halving time??? on: March 14, 2020, 05:09:43 PM
as u know we having next halving in 3 month. but as u know price get down to 7k  and break so many resistance support lines. the question is how much bitcoin will go down before halving ?! and what will be the price for resistance support before price go up?!and also what is the reason of these dumps?!
It’s still early to be talking about that. Halving is going to take place in the month of May and we are still in the month of March, so relax man. This is how Bitcoin is, there is always up and downs in price, the price can never remain stable.

I have seen those that are saying that the price is meant to keep going up, but that’s not true, there are times that it will go up and there are also times that it will fall back and lose value, it can’t go up forever. You just gotta keep holding as long as you believe. Just like what the CEO of BitMex said – BTC can reach $6000 and from there to $20,000 during this 2020 crisis. You just never what may happen.
1956  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading vs. Investing. on: March 14, 2020, 04:38:17 PM
Investing should be done right because it benefits us only then. I feel super cool via FreshForex, who is one of the companies out there and have so many benefits to help with. As with good support, it will take us to the worthy results.
Investing would give you a one time profit but trading would keep on giving you profits. If you invest in any coin, you would wait for long term for the price to hit the peak so that you can sell that coin. This would only give you profit after the coin makes a pump but in trading, you can actually serve yourself with profits by even with minor price changes.

Constant buy and sell would help you gain way major profits than just investing into one coin. Usually investments would be for lazy people who have money but have no guts to take efforts with trading whereas, only active people would make profits from trading. Trading and investments both at a constant time can make us earn huge profits but you would need huge funds on hand before you can even think about them.
1957  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Looking to Hire Crypto Trader on: March 14, 2020, 04:08:54 PM
I am sure you would have got a number of PM's from mostly lower rank members. Also, I would love if you could elaborate the position. Traders are the ones who usually make profits for themselves. Those times are rare which a trader can be beneficial for other people

I am much interested in knowing the position or why would you need a experienced trader? You should never randomly follow any trader if by any chance you have the desire to start following any of the experienced traders. You should try to make you own research or try using platforms like eToro where you can start copy trading some experienced traders by considering their portfolios.
1958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: March 14, 2020, 02:59:08 PM
How do you even proceed after this? I mean let's say Gobert is cleared and Donovan is cleared as well, and you do tests to everyone and you cancel all the viewers in the arena and just make sure bare minimum number of people are there who are all tested and fine, it is still not NBA as we know it. Hell I am not even sure if people would want to play with players who got corona but get cured, even after being cured it will be hard for players to play against those people psychologically.

In short, we will need a lot more evaluation to continue, it may actually really take more than a month to come back. Whatever happens I am 100% certain that no team would allow to continue playoffs from right here, they will want to play the rest of the games if the season will continue.
1959  Economy / Speculation / Re: Convert or HODL? on: March 14, 2020, 08:08:36 AM
Quote
I have no idea why the hell that happens, I may be extremely unlucky. Now I'd rather not trade at all than try my luck, because a simple paper calculus shows how much of a profit I could've made doing nothing and just letting my money sit in BTC..
Long term hodling you mean? Yes that is profitable considering you bought at three digit prices and now the price is obviously more than 10x of the buying price. But then again there is always the good effects of using a 1000$ capital to buy sell daily and keep the money flow coming in. Converting to fiat makes you exit the market temporarily to tide over bitcoin bear scenario.
Going all at once is actually something smaller fish has to do. I mean when you are going in 100 dollars you can't divide that to 10 bucks at a time, you have to go all in that 100 dollars so that you could make some money from it.

I personally would prefer if there was some sort of big amount that I could not go all in but go slow by slow however I didn't so I went all in with the small amount I had. Now I am not doing so bad and I do not go all in anymore but that doesn't mean we could tell people to divide their money into multiple entry points just because we can do something like that. I would however suggest even the smaller investors to go out there and find all the ways you can make crypto and earn it as well, what you earn as 10 dollars today could be 100 dollars tomorrow.
1960  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't Panic Yet, Bitcoin Analysis. on: March 13, 2020, 05:29:28 PM
I doubt that we can call it a weekly before week ends. However, the fact is price actually moved towards a place where we were half expecting it to go down if things get sour. The trouble here is the fact that there was a huge sale, that means it might be nothing related to analysis or nothing related to charts and ma200 or anything at all. It could be simply just a rich dude selling a lot of bitcoins they had to buy more stocks just as when it dropped.

Remember not everything in crypto is actually calculated moves, some of them just happens out of nowhere and shocks the whole world. Maybe that is one of the reasons why it moved all the way down to 3600 but moved back up, it wasn't a predicted move but nobody really thought the price would stay there all the time and bought it right away.
