1941  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The way things are going with new crypto is worrisome on: March 08, 2022, 11:34:20 PM
Almost everyone I knew now creates their own tokens  Grin these guys aren't even crypto developers to begin with, they have no coding experience or knowledge now this makes me worry, imagine how many crypto tokens that are created by inexperienced personal, I think we need to buckle up for there will be huge rain of scam tokens upon us than what we've seen before...... Sigh! I wish that only a few qualified people knew how to build blockchain projects.

It has been happening for years and scammers have been using this strategy to fool people, especially new investors. It's a good thing that most investors have learned from their past experiences where in they have lost their funds in fake projects and worthless tokens. We're always advised to be skeptical and observant especially when investing in new projects because this thing is uncontrollable and scam tokens will always exist.
Some had learned already but some did not. Many still fall into scam projects and this becomes worrisome that it could ruin the image of crypto for the coming years if this situation and market tricks never stop. I believe there is a way to help these newbies avoid scam projects through awareness but too unfortunate that many of them still having a hard time even doing searches and reading in the scam accusation board.

For as long as many remain lazy and greedy, scamming and scam projects will still exist no matter what we do.
1942  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: March 08, 2022, 12:11:59 PM
Wouldn't it be suspend because of the Russia invasion? many sports league already removed Russia in their competition but the WBO does not yet? or they doesn't care about politics? In this match I think I would go in Alvarez, I see his previous matches and I think he can't easily beat by Bivol though Bivol doesn't have much professional boxing career his previous career in non professional boxing is great too. This is very exciting match.
I hope it will not be suspended, we have not seen Canelo having a fight this year yet unlike last year when he fight 3 times in a year IIRC. Sports should not be mixed with politics as its main purpose is just entertainment, so I hope we will see our expectations.
Exactly, though USA is against the Russia and they are giving them sanctions. We should be optimistic, this fight will happen and we will see an entertaining fight again. After this fight, Canelo is set to fight GGG as per report which also has a blood of a Russian.
1943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 08, 2022, 11:28:43 AM
Philadelphia 76ers v Chicago Bulls is really like a playoff game. Each one of them is doing an amazing job in this season. And my expectation level from each of them is quite high truthfully. Especially 76ers are really promising for the playoffs and even the title. I also believe that Harden has made a huge contribution to the team already now. The Harden - Embiid duo is going to be really great in the playoffs too hopefully. And when it comes to this game, I believe in 76ers to destroy their competitor.

Right now the 76ers have all the advantages because they will try to win this game since they lost their last game without James Harden. now he is playing again and has 11 points in halftime. As the Bulls are struggling today, they continue to catch up not letting the lead reach up to double-digit at the end of the first half. Anything can happen in the last 24 minutes of the game I hope it would be a last-minute battle between these two current heavyweight teams.

Rough game for the Bulls, dropping their fifth straight game. However it was really a fair matchup. The Bulls were missing three starters, Vucevic, Ball, and Patrick Williams. Also still have Alex Caruso out. So they were down four of their best players and 3 starters, so not really a fair fight. The sixers are a damn good team though, but I can’t wait to see the Bulls play them when healthy.
Not only the Bulls, but the Warriors is on a 5 game losing skid as well, as they've lost to the Denver Nuggets tonight. Tough lost though, they played without Steph, Wiggins and Klay but they give the Nuggets a game, Jokic another triple double, and then Poole and Moody try to carry the Warriors without 3 of their starters.

They rested their starters, looks like they already prepared themselves in the playoffs and all they want is to ensure that they are a healthy team. Despite resting the staters, Warriors are still able to compete as they were not dominated by the Nuggets.

By the way, Jokic had a triple double in that game.
1944  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: EBAY might accept BITCOIN on: March 07, 2022, 10:59:23 PM
Hey guys theres a news article stating that ebay might be accepting Bitcoin and other cryptos, if this happens then I believe itll be a game changer for the crypto world. Not sure how credible the article is , has anyone else heard anything similar. Also there was mention of an announcement on march 10 to confirm this. If positive,  We could see a new high even in these times uncertainty .

There has been a lot of talks about that in the past and so far nothing has materialized, however I hope that eventually happens, as personally I am the kind of person that likes to save and you can find some really good used goods there that are as good as new for a cheap price, if I could use my bitcoin to buy on their platform it would be great for me and several other people that think the way I do, also it would have been nice if you actually put the source of that information on your post so we could see how reliable is the rumor.
Yeah, and only I have to believe if that they will finally decide to accept. There is a statement from the CEO that this coming March 10 they announced it, just a few days from now and it obviously makes people think, "this is it". But anyways, whether they accept it to not, eBay customers will still make use of their services. The only thing that excites others, especially crypto users is for them to have another option aside from fiat.
1945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: March 07, 2022, 09:45:15 PM

Butler could choose to fight with another fighter but he would not win a belt because the belt was not taken from Casimero, that's why Butler just choose to wait just to have a shot on the title by fighting the defending champion.
He got that option but he choose to wait for this big break for his career.

It's a title fight and worth waiting. If he manages to take Casimero down, he will hype up his name and the changes in his career will be
big, I see the point of not choosing to fight with another boxer.

The belt is the most important one for any fighters who step inside the ring. They wanted fame and afterwards, the money
that will be behind the belt that they've got.

Exactly, without a belt, no champion would be interested to fight a fighter unless he attracts the crowd and the fight could generate a lot of money. Meanwhile, I read a rumor that the Donaire vs Inoue rematch is targeted this year, April to be particular, so maybe the winner of that fight could face the winner of this fight.
Butler really did great decision, he needs good exposure and fighting for the belt is a big thing.
This is not possible if Donaire and Casimero win on their respective matches because they are already under one promotion team, and they tried to have a fight before but both of them agreed not to proceed it since they are both Pinoy, Inoue against Pinoy boxers are most possible.

But I have a doubt that Donaire would be able to win against Inoue. They already fought before and it was Inoue who dominated the fight, so I expect the same scenario and I also expect that after the fight Inoue would go to be an undisputed champion in the bantamweight before moving up, and that means he has to fight Casimero.
1946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 07, 2022, 09:12:07 PM
therefore my pick is Dallas -2.5.

Against the Jazz, this should be like a playoff game, and the Mavericks will be tested as Jazz is also a great team who has a healthy roster. I'm not sure if Conley will play but even without him, Jazz could still win the game.

https://www.foxsports.com/nba/mike-conley-player (he will play).
1947  Economy / Speculation / Re: No FUDs will win the market on: March 04, 2022, 08:57:28 PM
The only winners are those people who buy when the weak hands panic.

FUD is only applicable for those who easily panic because they lack knowledge on what they are doing, that's not good for them but good for us who know it's an opportunity to buy. That's why the words "whales manipulate the market exist" because, with our ignorance, they can take advantage on that by shaking the market so we will dump and they'll be very happy to accumulate.
1948  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin surpasses Russian Ruble - now top 15 currency on: March 04, 2022, 08:36:25 PM
They say that bitcoin is a good hedge fund, so I'm not surprised that bitcoin continues to increase its demand over a certain currency when its economy struggles or when other countries sanction them.

Look like bitcoin is free from inflation or if it's affected, it's not as worst as fiat since it's not controlled by a country or a government and therefore everyone can invest which only makes the market more stable although the price remains volatile.
1949  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin the best investment at the moment? on: March 04, 2022, 03:07:44 PM
I hope OP you got enlightened to what you have read in this thread. No single to ask why not as the answer is surely a big YES.  Perhaps you may try and also for you to verify that we are not telling lies. Of course, you can't say yes for now and you'll remain doubtful as you were not investing yet. Sometimes we need experience in order to know and this becomes our basis.

Some people will say we are late as the price of Bitcoin is already high but can't just imagine what will be the price 5 years from now? That can possibly be more than $100k...
1950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 04, 2022, 01:50:30 PM
Well that’s three losses in a row now for my Chicago Bulls. I knew I should have put a few dollars on the Hawks last night, not that I had much faith in them, but I just had less faith in the Bulls as they are currently skidding and I feel like they are in kind of a bad spot right now overall. Hopefully they can right the ship tonight versus the Bucks but I’m not counting on it.

Me, I'll go with the Bulls, they are in a losing streak so they'll make sure they'll win this game. Overall, the Bulls are still a good team and maybe they are just struggling a bit now but they'll figure it out and I like to see that against a strong team like the Bucks .

no more handicap for me, I'll take the moneyline.

24 - 9 win/loss record for the Bulls, they should get this one.
1951  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I was tempted to sell off altcoin on: March 04, 2022, 01:08:27 PM
~snip~

Most at time it is very hard to endure the situation out there, seeing that your asset is going down day by day without increased or multiplications so as a holder you will be threaten to sell to secure your funds but what i did you was to trade with it and have little increase on the volume of my asset.

That's quite inevitable, I mean who doesn't worry when your portfolio is down 60%. This is the reason why you need to have your due diligence before putting your money into something.
The worst thing to do during correction is selling to cut further losses even if it means you're not actually profiting from it.
It is very important to research those coins you have invested If it has a potential recovery or not. Look at the historical data, charts, and fundamentals.
You have mentioned most of your coins is composed with BTC and BNB. Well, that means you don't need nothing to worry, don't sell it otherwise you'll regret.
He got too emotional upon seeing his portfolio turn down as he expect a profit, not this loss. I was into such feelings before but to know what, we just end up blaming ourselves and in regrets. If we decide to sell, it means that we are aware of what really happens after. Selling during corrections is not a good option to take but yeah, we sometimes do it for some reason and one is to save from losing more. But, if we believe that our invested coins will grow, holding is what we are supposed to do and this becomes a common mistake by many. They mostly decide base of their emotions.
1952  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Be Cautious and take Caution. on: March 04, 2022, 12:19:00 PM
I can't really imagine how these scammers will take advantage in a situation like this. The majority had thought it was legit and that was the people from Ukraine really asking for this but too sad and really disappointing.

There is only a way to make a deal of these scammer's tricks and that is to send the right address this will happen if we directly send it to the government instead of sending it to the third parties. And even charities foundation is hard to trust unless if they are known already to such event and services for the long-time.
1953  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is now a good time to be investing in Bitcoin? on: March 03, 2022, 11:35:17 PM
Hi everyone I was wondering if the overall Russian-Ukraine situation in Bitcoin is now pretty low, will it soar if the whole war is resolved again? What is your opinion? Thank you.
Investing in bitcoin you most think and be calculative before doing that, we have good time to invest for any cryptocurrency and mostly when bad news is arises, secondly bitcoin goes up and down investing in bitcoin their most be a specific time of falling and target of what you want to achieve, Russian and Ukraine war never become the time of investing in bitcoin because bitcoin price is fluctuating to the level you don't know and know one can hold strong about
Indeed. Trying to catch them at a cheaper price could be somewhat an ideal entry. While seeing the current price today, it is seemingly we got missed buying the cheapest one as the price moves high back again. Maybe if we take the chance last week, that gonna be perfect.

Well, Anyways, investing in Bitcoin is really profitable and even investing at its current price we can still make a profit but of course, it was a big difference when we got them at a lower price compared today. That is why it is very important to monitor the market to further know what really happens and trying not to miss opportunities.
1954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top Promising Altcoins That Failed? on: March 03, 2022, 11:04:27 PM
Which altcoins from the last few years where there was a lot of positive talk about it has failed?  And by failed, it means either it has went to 0 or it could be worth very little.  Like it could been 50 dollars at one point and now 0.50.
There are countless promising talks that we encounter last year and countless of them went off too quick. Not a surprise as many scam projects really be going that way as the project itself will never grow by just a promising words but it must consist with the usefulness of the projects which is actually missing with them.

Quote
Also I am talking about coins that were at least in the top 50 or top 100 in coinmarketcap and then it just fell apart.  I don't mean a coin that came out and everyone had praise of it and it didn't even break the top 100 on coinmarketcap.

Defi projects, Memecoins, and many from hypes projects will turn down after reaching the peak. Quite very common to see this and only valuable coins that have a use-case will survive.
1955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: March 03, 2022, 12:47:05 PM
Does he really changed up his behavior? Maybe.. its true that i havent recently seeing that he do make out some trashtalks to provoke whether on his upcoming opponent or neither Inoue.

We can assume that he was just told not to do so or might be, he thinks that if only he's not like that, there will be no problem that happened last December where he failed to show up in the weigh-in because of his viral condition.

Anyhow, trash talk or hitting the opponent with some offensive words is not really necessary.

They can do the talking on the ring, not in exchange of words in the public.

Yeah, maybe someone is the background is advising Casimero to tone down a bit because it doesn't make sense at all to trash talk the likes of Inoue and Donaire. The fight will happen sooner or later. And he should learn from his fellow Filipino, the legendary Manny Pacquiao, who chooses to do the talking inside the ring and not being so arrogant outside and talking trash to his opponent.

I think Casimero has been always like that and people do know him that he always talk a lot even it is already nonsense at all. But we don't know about that now because maybe this time he figured out that it's time to wisen up and speak less and let his actions do the talking, or if that's not the case then his team has told him to be quiet for now and concentrate more about the preparations.
It's not that really effective for him, this kind of trash talking is good for American boxers because that is their native tongue. But if English is not Casimero's first language, every time he opens his mouth, it doesn't sounds right. And that's why he better stop doing it as it is out of context for a Filipino fighter. As you have said, less his boxing skills do the talking.

I think he already stopped, I have not heard in his new interviews that he is trash talking a boxer, Rigo was the last time he trash-talked and now he is focused on training to defend his title. But actually, even if he does trash talk again, I will not change my support for him, I still like him inside the ring and that's what matters most for me.
1956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 03, 2022, 12:28:12 PM
get rid of WB and AD replace them with a good supporting cast. They can keep Melo and Monk as well.

Maybe trade WB but keep AD, just like this game against the Mavericks, he was shooting bricks with a very awful shooting percentage.

5-17 shooting overall, 0-4 from 3 point line. I don't understand why Westbrook still tries to shoot 3's when he is not really a good 3 point shooting. I think he should earn his points in the FT line, and it's very important that he is aggressive and he will keep attacking.
It's true. He is a veteran and I hope he already realized it by now. His strength is from attacking the paint or mid-range shots or one of his specialties which is the bunk shot. He heard the fans voice it out, he should consider it as a piece of good advice.
WB had been jumping from one team to another so I guess it won't hurt him a bit even if he is traded which I think will happen at a greater chance.

GSW lost against the T'wolves, that's two consecutive losses, and tomorrow they will be up against the Mavs again which is their first loss from the two.
I don't think it's wise to bet for them while Klay is out. But, check the injury reports before the game as it is said he might play this one.

He should see that and adjust. He should play the way he's more comfortable.

Attacking the basket is much better than trying to shoot outside. I don't know why he's still forcing that kind of shots where
the percentages are too low.

The fact that offensive rebounds are not for them to dominate, plus the running attack of their opponents will continue to hit
them after missing long-range shots.

Westbrook has to understand that he is not only the superstar in the team and he is not the main man. He should play according to the game plan, and if it was the game plan for him to shoot in the perimeter, then that is a wrong game plan as he is not effective on that.

I don't know if they can still bring back the triple double westbrook, but if not, then I don't think he should stay with the Lakers.
1957  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is the safest coin to stake? on: March 02, 2022, 11:29:44 PM
Hello,
I am planning on staking an altcoin to earn kind of an additional income to my salary.

Sometimes seeking more will end up losing more.

Stake in Binance site there are some good project that offers staking with good return aside from keeping your coins on Hold.
Most of the time people do not even think about it, if we were to make an experiment in this market and we told people they had two choices, they could get 2x their capital with a 90% chance and a 10% of losing 20%, or they could get 10x with a 5% chance and a 95% chance of losing everything, as unbelievable as it may sound a great deal of people will choose the latter rather than the former, even if the former is by far the best choice, but since they care nothing but about the potential profits they can get then something like that should not surprise us.
It's to find out that the majority are not giving more concerned about the safety of their funds but rather they are giving more concerned of earning more profit as much as possible. That is why they look for those who can offer high rewards from staking even if it could compromise their safety. I do staking but I have to choose where the site can guarantee safety and that is why I choose reputable exchanges instead. We know we can't escape losses but staking the right coins and trusted sites, that surely can be avoided.
1958  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFTs new features on the market on: March 02, 2022, 10:55:28 PM
Most of the NFT collections over the crypto space don’t have any utility whatsoever, this issue is beginning to get addressed by a few projects, like DeFiDOJO, with innovation and one of the last features released has been yNFTs (Yield NFTs), where they are trying to combine the beauty of DeFi with collections, have you put your NFTs into a good use lately? what are your thoughts about this?
I'm not seeing it works well and how it functions? It is better they'll come out with their original concept instead. And I don't think this could help to make people believe that NFTs are worth enough coz they are probably wrong with this (my opinion).

I still thinking about how we can benefit these collectibles, investors will not be focused on that but rather focus on where they can make good money from their investment. By now, NFT projects are somewhat losing their sight as this metaverse is also gaining attention.
1959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: March 02, 2022, 11:49:00 AM

But if Bivol will used his face and will not play defense with Canelo, it will be suicide and he himself will get knock out because Canelo's has power in both hands. Unless he has a granite chin that can hold, but I doubt it because this is a higher weight and boxers do really punch hard.

Unfortunately for Bivol he has not faced a fighter like Canelo, and he is a fighter trained to go toe to toe and rely on his power, there's no way to change how he fights, a fighter will live and die on the way he fights, it all goes up now on how hard he punches and can he get his punches to Canelo's face and body and can he avoid Canelo's attack, he needs to bully the bully here.

But we've seen the Canelo was tried to be bully in his fights and it doesn't end good. His opponents gets knock out/down. It's really hard to put a good strategy against Canelo because he developed into a complete fighter. Maybe what Bivol can do is rely on his power and maybe he will get lucky and hit Canelo with a good punch and who knows, Canelo will get his first loss, as you have said, live and die and in the ring for Bivol here.

Canelo is just so focused on the ring, so even if you trash-talk him, disrespect him, it will not make him change his strategy, he will always follow the game plan and always play smart in the ring. I wonder what would happen in this fight, Bivol is the bigger guy but Canelo is a volume puncher so it should not be an advantage for Bivol. Good luck to him though.
1960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: March 02, 2022, 11:23:40 AM
It's a good advise though, humility, he knows that he come from nothing, so he doesn't need to be very brandish like Floyd. Just do the usual, train 100%, beat your opponent and knock him out, go home with your family and rest and look for your next fight.

That's his style, you cannot change him to be a different person, besides, as a boxer Casimero is successful that's why he is the current champion. Outside the ring or boxing, he could be different, so there's no need for us to judge his personality, and about the case, it's not proven yet so we cannot make a conclusion, and even if he is guilty, who are we to judge a person, as if we have no sins.

Either you hate him or you love him, but as for me, every time Casimero has a fight, I always make sure I will put my bet on him whether he is the favorite or the underdog. Personally, I don't look at his attitude, what I look at most is his boxing skills and I'm pretty impressed because he is not afraid to fight anyone, instead, he challenges the best in his division like Inoue and Donaire.
