1981  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: November 20, 2013, 07:14:33 AM
I was thinking when colored coins go live that will create huge buzz, and along with it Active Mining being the first company embracing it. That will be big publicity and could cause a frenzy. I mean especially with the November announcement coming up and hashing to likely begin after. It could be a perfect storm.

This would be a preferable situation.
1982  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mercedes Kelley Tunstall hired by Ripple to bash Bitcoin? on: November 20, 2013, 03:33:40 AM
As I understand it Ripple was around before Bitcoin

This is a misconception that Opencoin loves to propagate. Ripple has been around longer than Bitcoin, but not in the current state it is in now. That was the old Ripple.

Quote from: David Schwartz ·  Top Commenter · Chief Cryptographer at Ripple Labs http://motherboard.vice.com/blog/the-ripple-economy-could-make-bitcoin-great
Don't confuse the old Ripple (Ryan Fugger's) and the new Ripple (Jed McCaleb/OpenCoin). They have more differences than similarities

In fact the old Ripple did not contain the built in Bitcoin replacement stealth currency XRP (Ripples) of which Opencoin own most of them and create artificial scarcity and sell them off over inflated for Bitcoins to idiots.

Make no mistake, Ripplelabs/Opencoin is the prefered currency for the USA, and Google know this, the entire thing is just a layer on top of the current credit/fractional reserve system.

One of our greatest threats is a freedom restricting bank friendly currency called XRP.

Also this forum is full of Ripple shills, you have been warned.

Please move this to the speculation forum. Bitcoin price rallies, drops and changes are not meant to be discussed here.

I can somewhat understand where DTS is coming from.. From his point of view, at any one point of the day he is possibly around the corner from retirement.
It has to be a somewhat emotional feeling Smiley

That's all well and good but he is on here everyday whining. If you can see his point of view then why are you not on here whining everyday? It's because you have some self control. He needs to learn that no one here can do anything to speed up the process or help this company succeed other than Ken. And Ken is most likely not reading all these complaints. The best thing DTS can do a long with the rest of us is hope for the best and prepare for the worst. Not scream "This is never gonna succeed" while hoping for it to succeed. He just needs to relax, it's almost Thanksgiving, go spend some time with your family DTS and relax, you'll know soon enough whether or not this company is going to make you rich as all fuck soon enough. We all waited months, what's a couple more weeks at most?

This is true.

In addition I have decided to stop freaking out about the price increases. If Ken reinvests 50% of mining revenue (He should do this!) and bitcoins are 10 times the value they were a few months ago, then almost for free we have 10 times the fiat money to buy more chips and compound our hashing ability. Hell with 50% reinvestment and Bitcoin over $1,000 we will end up with enough money to start designing cutting edge chips and perhaps have enough money to lead the world in mining.

Smiley

I know. I am doing my best to occupy myself with other things.

No, you are doing your best to bitch and moan over this whole fucking thread.

Sorry if I am a bit upset, but this place needs a counterbalance to the overly optimistic shareholders shouting that we are all going to be rich soon when all we have is a small 1TH/s mining farm and nothing else.

A bit of reality will do us good.

Homepage is broken, forum says I can't sign up because I entered the safety code wrong, about 20 times. No email to contact anyone...

It's hurting you. Don't let it!

1988  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: November 19, 2013, 10:11:38 AM
The prototype payments...we have not had one for ages, perhaps the prototype is unstable?

I see one having occurred on the 3rd of November and the next occurring eight days later on the 11th. Eight days from the 11th would be today, so if the trend were to stay linear the next larger payment would be today.

Disclaimer: I just woke up lol

Well spotted, I now have blockchain loaded up and refresh, refresh, refresh...
1989  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: November 19, 2013, 10:06:00 AM
Maybe Ken started taking half the Divs starting at that point for reinvestment.

What I meant was those 0.25 payments are the same amount as the 0.5 payments. If Ken took half, those 0.25 payments would be half as frequent.

I think Ken is taking half the eASIC miner amounts as reinvestment.
1990  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: November 19, 2013, 09:44:19 AM
One question which I may have missed, is there a reason why our address, https://blockchain.info/address/1DJpsvnM7xTnQbWEhLYyCyfxQyxwupEzCa, has switch from installments of 0.5 BTC to 0.25 BTC ever since the 3.XXX BTC deposits on the 11th?

I am not sure why the denominations are 0.25 instead of 0.5, although I calculated they are from the same hardware (The Avalons and Klondikes) The prototype payments were those large random transactions but we have not had one for ages, perhaps the prototype is unstable?

1992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It's going to be cute when bitcoin shatters and gets destroyed on: November 19, 2013, 07:54:01 AM
there is actually a coin coming out just around the corner, you'll all know of it soon enough, which will dominate crypto and won't be replaced by anything even remotely soon after, as it solves all Bitcoins problems.

If this is true you would not tell us, because its strengths are so great you would wait until you bought a lot of it or mined a lot before getting people on board.

If people here believe you they take away the potential for cheap wondercoins.
1993  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Top 10 signs you may be too involved in Bitcoin on: November 19, 2013, 06:30:42 AM
4.) You have a serious distaste for the word "tulips".
7.) You knew what DPR stood for before the Silk Road bust.
9.) You've kicked yourself numerous times for selling bitcoins below $100.
10.) You put more time in reading up on bitcoins than you put in doing homework.
1994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : Invest in 1% House Edge Dice Game on: November 19, 2013, 02:53:11 AM
Haha JustDice will soon have $8,000,000 profits on a bankroll of $60,000,000.

Amazing!
1995  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: November 19, 2013, 02:36:22 AM
Are we hashing yet?

On a more positive note (Assume $1,000 Bitcoins):
1% of the network will make me $150,000 per year, /2 if Ken reinvests 50% = $75,000
2% of the network will make me $300,000 per year, /2 if Ken reinvests 50% = $150,000
3% of the network will make me $450,000 per year, /2 if Ken reinvests 50% = $225,000

And by the way, if Ken reinvests 50% with that much fiat, I am sure we could increase our hashrate. (That is a huge amount of money to reinvest.)

1996  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: November 18, 2013, 10:58:35 PM
Why are you panicking because the price of bitcoin has risen?

It's a GOOD thing.

Negative. Now each block creates $20,000 as opposed to $2,500 so there is more incentive to mine and thus we will have even more competition.

Also its harder and harder for our shares to be worth what they used to be due to the change in value of Bitcoin. Our sales are in fiat so that links us to a fiat price. Only our mining farm can get the share price back to where they were, but where is this mining farm?
1997  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: November 18, 2013, 10:55:13 PM
I am not trolling! I just can't see how we are ever getting our Bitcoin back as it rises to the sky like this.

Trust me, if Bitcoin remained at $100 for this entire time I would not be panicking at all.
1998  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: November 18, 2013, 10:48:47 PM
Do you know why that doesn't matter? Because it will mean we don't need to ship their miners and we can use them on our farm.

IF they do want the refund that's fine - how many do you think will take it with the miners about to ship?

Zero.

By definition if we fail on our promise to deliver by November then why hold on? If Ken lies about November why trust him for anything else?

Let me remind all the shareholders, Ken has never ever said we are behind schedule or that their have been issues. So Ken thinks its best not to communicate anything?

I really hoped we could gain 3%, not 0.00000003%
1999  Economy / Securities / Re: Lorenzo Money Speaks on: November 18, 2013, 10:44:40 PM
MY price to you for a single lot of all my shares is 1014 bitcoin.

If all these optimistic shareholders really believed in the company they would take you up on your offer.

Instead you get crickets.
2000  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: November 18, 2013, 10:42:53 PM
I have several questions regarding my order with you.

1) I noticed that you founded a company called "Virtual Mining" last year in Missouri, which was later closed by the authorities (https://www.sos.mo.gov/BusinessEntity/soskb/Corp.asp?3322736). Now there is another "Virtual Mining" company registered in Delaware, which also operates in Missouri, but with a different name (BTC Mining Corporation). Can you please shed some light on this, in particular why the authorities shut down your former "Virtual Mining" company?

Did not pay the required fee, as I did not need that company any longer.  Yes, since we are operating in Missouri, we had to file as a foreign corporation, but could not use the Virtual Mining name as it is taken.

2) On you website you state that "Fast-Hash" and "Gold Rush" are trademarks of your company. However, when checking with the US Patent and Trademark Office (http://www.uspto.gov/trademarks/) I did not find any such trademarks registered by "Virtual Mining Corporation". Can you elaborate on this?

You get a Trademark by using it, then you can registered it at the uspto.gov, then it becomes a registered trademark.

Quote
3) What happens if you cannot deliver my miner by October/November as stated on your website? Will I get a refund in this case?

Yes, we will give refunds if we can not deliver on time.

Note question 3.

I am not a troll. In 11 days all customer money is refunded.
