They need to know what they did is wrong and they can make it might in several hours if they wanted to.

If you check the thread you will see a Mastercoin day trader making the claim all is fair even though he admits he still got in early and managed to get MaidSafecoin cheaper than the Bitcoin backers.

The other guy is a 'Bitcoin' backer but he has stockholm syndrome and doesn't mind being taken advantage of by Maidsafe.

Oh, and he thinks I am alone in my opinions. He really thinks the majority opinion is that the IPO situation is fair.

Does anyone else who invested Bitcoin want to pop in that thread and explain the situation because these followers just don't get it?

Please back me up, many of the Maidsafe core team read that google group moreso than this forum.
1202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] IPO of MaidSafe:  Entering the Future of the Decentralized Internet on: May 04, 2014, 03:09:12 AM
Basically they needed funds to set up their safecoin network so they made this IPO. Now the mastercoins they received are pretty useless as they can't make much selling them due to no market depth and they can't use them to buy equipment directly. But the BTC on the other hand is what they're using right now to set up safecoin. The issue is that they're using the BTC investor funds and not the msc to set up safecoin, but they've given those investors the least bang for their buck.

Why do you think maidsafe stopped accepting msc during their IPO? They told everyone that it was to give BTC investors an opportunity to buy, but the most obvious reason is that they needed BTC much more than mastercoin. MSC can't pay for the servers they say they need.

I'm starting to doubt the legitimacy of a big portion of the MSC investors too. If they were able to purchase a huge amount of msafe to 'save' some for the btc investors, who's to say that they didn't purchase a huge portion in small chunks as well? After all, the investments are going back into their pockets.

I wonder if there would be grounds for a lawsuit by BTC investors if safecoin does actually take off in the future?

If anything, the BTC buyers should have received a better rate of msafe than the msc buyers.

The core Maidsafe team don't care at all, none of the developers have been on here recently to respond to the fraud that was the IPO.

If they just paid an extra 23,000 MaidSafecoin per bitcoin right now then the community could move on from this disaster.
1204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] IPO of MaidSafe:  Entering the Future of the Decentralized Internet on: May 03, 2014, 11:22:31 AM
I still have 23,800 maidsafe coins.

The actual amount doesn't matter my friend, only the percentage of issuance matters.

Would you still be fine having 23,800 MaidSafecoins if the IPO gave so much more to Mastercoin holders that instead of owning 0.0001% of the IPO you owned 0.00005% of the IPO?

When Safecoin eventually has a market cap of $100,000,000 you will be half as rich as you could have been.

When talking about IPO, you're reference to having a number of MaidSafecoins without regarding your dilution shows you are confusing the matter.

Get out a calculator and project different market caps onto Safecoin, you'll soon find yourself very poor.

Great idea on the surface, but when you dig deeper you find the flaws.  What about people who bought shares at 0.009?  What was the price of bitcoin then?

For the record I would be fine accepting a price many times lower than the price I bought mine at (114,425 * 0.004) When bitcoins were $100 - $120.

We should also move this conversation over to http://safecointalk.org/ this might eventually become the official forum.

In addition this conversation was brought up over there: http://safecointalk.org/index.php/topic,42.msg194.html

But it seems davidpbrown has made it clear the IPO was legit, many of us disagree.
1207  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: May 03, 2014, 04:12:12 AM
Ken could also just setup a flat rate.  Say 850 shares for $100.  Something along those lines.  Take it or leave it.  I'd take it.  Those share holders would be eliminated from further headaches for him.

I'd be ok for Ken buying us out for much less than I paid.

I would be ok for $0.75 per share.
1208  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: May 03, 2014, 03:41:34 AM
Ken, you need to talk to us about what's going on and also resume dividend repayments asap, nothing is stopping you in regards to paying out a dividend.

1209  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: May 02, 2014, 03:11:07 AM
Now this situation is getting out of hand.

The case with wood should be avoided. If a lawsuit causes Ken to lose too much money then he will be forced to make the company go bankrupt, this is not in the best interest of the investors and probably not the best case for the customers, too little would be recovered. There is a party that would make bank, and that is the firm and the lawyer. Please remember that.

Wood will only bring the lawsuit with the intention of making a chunk of ActiveMining lasts balance before going under, we'll all be left to rot. This firm is not to be trusted.

Many law firms specialise in preying on dying companies often taking the remaining cash for their fees.

We need to tread carefully with the MSD, but Wood must be avoided. Ken currently has 200 bitcoin left, the rest of the money is in our 70THs, It's likely Ken's lawyer will cost that last 200 bitcoin just to defend.

Remember that too, you want Wood to get some money back from Ken? Sure, after Ken's lawyer and wood make at least $100,000 each I doubt there will be much left to distribute to the investors. And if the company goes bankrupt it's likely the customers will never see a cent.

This all goes back to what I said originally, letting Ken play out whatever game his playing is the only chance we ever make any money, litigating will have ill effect for sure.

Strap in...  It's going to be awhile.

Does this mean no dividends for at least 4 more years?

email scott.johnson@sos.mo.gov and let him know your concerns on this issue!
I am starting to think it is a good idea to contact the gov and let them know that they are holding us up from getting the shares that we have paid for.

Look I understand if the shares must be frozen for the next several years rendering no chance of selling them.

However, the dividend must be paid.

Ken, the investigation could last 4 years, this means no trading for 4 years. However you must pay the dividend.

Think about it; if you essentially pay nothing back to us for the next 4 years, do you really think we are just going to sit around and let you keep the dividends?

Ken, you can't not pay your investors a cent for the next 4 years.

Hey Guys Omni wallet does not work for me.

Can someone help me?

Do you have enough BTC on your sending address? You'll need a small amount of BTC for the actual transaction.

Yes I have above the minimum required.

If there is a conversation about censoring customers and our posts, it's not happening in that channel.

There are two IRC channels, one is invite-only and run by Bargraphics. Isn't this a dump from the open channel? I was in the invite-only one a few times but got perm banned after two visits!

No it's a dump of the invite channel that Bar set up.

I think it was Lobbes?

Anyway, I am in there a lot and to be honest nothing exciting happens, we just wanted to be away from some users that keep spamming foul language all over the place.

If there is a channel where they decide to delete our posts, it's not that one.
1214  Economy / Securities / Re: [Active Mining] The UNofficial Active Mining Discussion Thread [UNmoderated] on: April 30, 2014, 04:51:36 PM

I wonder how many people have access to that account? I always thought Minerpart had access to the account but he has had a recent conflict with whoever they are.

I guess Zumzero, Stuartuk are the prime candidates as the creator of 'Actm Thread'

For what it is worth (not much), here's about a weeks worth of logs that were 'leaked' from #ActM. You can get a feel for who is behind the censorship, if you are curious.

I am in that channel quite a lot, the guys in there only talked about deleting the images posts by crumbs and friends. You know, the ones where it's just flashing text and images of stupid stuff.

I don't recall that channel being used to censor myself or other shareholders raising points. And I certainly don't recall any customers being censored. (including Magzy).

If there is a conversation about censoring customers and our posts, it's not happening in that channel.

1215  Economy / Securities / Re: [Active Mining] The UNofficial Active Mining Discussion Thread [UNmoderated] on: April 30, 2014, 04:40:47 PM
I am Stuartuk

I see. Did you alter your writing styles? I never made that connection.

...Huh?

Maybe you misunderstood me...

Whoops.  Complete reading fail on my part :[

No worries Smiley
1217  Economy / Securities / Re: [Active Mining] The UNofficial Active Mining Discussion Thread [UNmoderated] on: April 30, 2014, 04:32:58 PM
You would think that investors would like to know what is going on with ActM's customers.

Except every investor in ActiveMining does want to know about the drama with the customers and Magzy.

Only ActM thread guy censors.

Remember that it is a select group of shareholders that have access to the ActM_Thread account, with Ken also having access.

I wonder how many people have access to that account? I always thought Minerpart had access to the account but he has had a recent conflict with whoever they are.

It should be obvious by now, but let's just say it out in the open.

that thread is for people hoping against hope to pump this up so they can pass the bag to someone else without losing everything if they ever get that ability. If those guys really believe the shit they are spewing they were going to lose all their money anyway, so they should at least thank Ken for dragging the process out, and I will thank ken for making it entertaining for me.

Not true, in fact if you follow my posts I have many times written warnings advising newbies new to this fiasco not to get involved if ever the oppoertunity to do so occured (which will never happen anyway). Some existing shareholders seem to think that my 100,000+ shares are worth 10 - 20 bitcoin, so I would like to trade to allow these believers a chance to see what happens with them.

If you read that thread carefully you will notice a majority of shareholders are concerned for the customers and are critical of Ken and the cheer leaders. Please also observe that only a very vocal minority of the shareholders in that thread are exhibiting typical 'pumping the stock' action. Most of us are honest and sincere.

We do call people like you trolls however, because you make blanket statements such as the above that does not reflect the reality of the situation.

Most of us are in that thread to get information out of Ken and see if a dividend will ever get paid.

Disheartening hearing that from you, drawingthesun.  Willful blindness to inconvenient facts and ...unpleasantries has rly cost you.  I so hoped you've changed your ways Undecided

Huh?

Maybe you misunderstood me. I said that all the investors are interested and want to know about the problems the customers are having.

How is that "Willful blindness to inconvenient facts"

I am saying that myself and most investors want to know what the hell is going on and the ONLY censor is the ActiveMining Thread person, whoever that is.

Please explain how you interpreted what I wrote, I never realized it was ambiguous.
