21  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never borrow money to be able to gamble on: May 22, 2024, 06:36:00 PM
.With you knowing this elements, you won't bother to go to the extreme of borrowing money to gamble. So have you borrowed money to gamble? If you do please take notes of this and stop it.

It's a suicidal journey to gamble with a borrowed fund, money that is not yours, money given to you to keep, money that is not yours, never use them to gamble. Using these money to gamble is risking yourself what comes after the gambling you are doing and no matter how good you are good with gambling skills, don't try it. The moment you lost that money, the next thing that will come to your mind is how to recover it and your target will be how to get money to recover the previous ones you have played and you will definitely lose everything.

For your own safety, gamble with your own money and if you must use your money, let it be an amount you know is not significant to you in any form, an amount you know will add nothing valuable to you, amount you know you are risking free. This gives you hedge to prepare for what comes after, your own safety is the amount you are risking, so stake low amount and sleep well. Grin
22  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: May 22, 2024, 06:22:56 PM
This final is between an amateur team and a professional team who has more experience and more quality in terms of play in this competition than the other. The champions league competition is like a daily meal to Real Madrid that when they’re able to get to the finals, the trophy becomes theirs because they can’t stand losing the trophy when they’ve already set their sights on it.

How do you define Dortmund as an amateur team. You forgot how Real Madrid splash money an acquired Bellingham from Dortmund and they sold him for them, Haaland was also bought by Manchester City from that same club. Dortmund has provided one of the best players some teams are exploring today but because they don't have good influence like other clubs, they now seems to be in the dark, I don't think we can define such club as amateur at this stage.

Quote
On the other hand, football still remain the most unpredictable game that you’re not suppose to have an 100% confidence in one team over the other even though it’s clearly so. Dortmund could all surprise us even when its possibility is still very minimal to occur. They’ve come so far to reach the finals, as they can’t stand a chance to win it, they can as well try their best to give Real Madrid a tough time before winning the trophy.

By dominance, Real Madrid looks they have won that league already but we don't know what is going to happen in that day. We said the same thing when Real Madrid met with Manchester City but luckily, they suppress the pressures that came from Manchester City until the end including extra minutes and win the penalty. We also saw the same thing in the last World cup but Argentina ate it in the end, don't sleep on Dortmund on this one too even if the odd looks low.

How would it be Pochetino's decision? I look at them and wonder whats them motive for the new season. Mauricio Pochetino was already beginning to settle down well in the squad and the players backing him up as well. It can't be Pochetino's choice truthfully. I don't know too much about this club of late, i haven't followed them up closey. The thing right now is to get a good replacement who can compete with the top clubs

People that are saying they are surprised by Pochettino quick exit from the club are the ones even surprising me because if Chelsea club happen to be there own club, I'm not sure if they are going to allow him stay after this poor season. The beginning was too poor, middle was as if they weren't even in the league and the end was fair but the over all performance was below average, let's not sugarcoat the conference Europa League, they can actually do better.

There are many people that can handle the team better and more effectively but I don't know why they settle for him but if it's because of the budget, the have gotten result for what they settle before the season but this time, they better take their time.

Quote
Mauricio Pochetino did well after his slow start, spending weeks below tenth position on the Premier League Table for a very long period of time. Finally it gladdens me to see that he raised them up again with the help of these hardworking players who helped fought for him as well.
We will see the plans they have for the new season. But making moves for Vincent Kompany makes zero sense to me. As for the case of Erik Ten Hag, he's yet to make no decision neither had the management of Manchester United said shit. Rumours if him moving to Chelsea are not valid.

There was a time it became normal, the fans accepted their faith as a losers until towards the end when things start to get better. They played match for more than a 5 weeks without any win, just draw and losses and that was tiring and exhausting to see one of the best club in the England to become this worst than Tottenham that hardly get to the top of the table.
24  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Illusion of Trading Success on: May 19, 2024, 05:07:38 PM
OP is hands down right about this.

There are so many people who will appear in front of you as those who can teach trading when trading is something you can teach yourself. They make their money not by trading but by selling these "promises" and people are ready to eat them because we all need someone to guide us and fear to take the path ourselves.

This industry is unregulated and hence they run rampant and prey on newbie traders. But we can only make others aware of this because these people are after all practicing their free speech.

If it's actually that easy to make money from trading, many content creators on YouTube will not create a single videos but because they know it's not easy and it's easy to teach basic and earn money from content l ads, that's why many of them choose to do the videos instead and then some of them try to make them join Vip trade where they get signal but the reason why many of them don't get casted is because they do it druring bull run when literally anyone can trade own their own.

I just believe that anyone can be a good trader but it's doesn't mean it is always that rossy, even professional traders make losses but because it's normal to lose and hard to make money but the real trees will always stay no matter how difficult the market is, the losses are the ones we see making videos and give advice they can't do by their self.
25  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trading or Long term on: May 19, 2024, 04:21:08 PM
Everyone has their own view and base on that they could opt out between day trading or long term trading. But the main fact is, trading should be base on their asset. But in my view, long term is better cause thus a trader can analysis and calculate the market properly where short trem trading seems too quick to judge the market. But it also true that sometimes market gives us opportunity by doing day trading and I don't see any wrong if anyone wants to grab it

Anyone that don't day trade, then I consider such person to be a holder. A day trader doesn't really need to sit and watch while the market make moves, they can open their laptop, do all the necessary analysis and make a set up for their trade and then go for their other activities, they don't need to be there that's why stop-loss is there to do the work of been away and take profit for in your oders, it's as simple as that for day trading.

A person who buy coin and doesn't day trade is a holder but the duration they hold Bitcoin is actually different individually. I can decide to buy a coin and hold for a week and decide to sell a week or a month and another person can decide to buy and hold and then sell after a year or hold till when they are satisfactory with the profits earned.
26  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How you trade in uncertain times? on: May 19, 2024, 04:02:20 PM
We all know how volatile the market is right now especially since we are still near the all-time high. With sudden price swings and unpredictable trends, traders need to be ready with some strategies.
So, what strategies can you advise especially in protecting our capital, some technical analysis strategies? OR some diversification tactics between stablecoins, bitcoin, or altcoins?

Share some of your experiences or tips on effectively trading in these uncertain times.

To protect your capital, you must make sure that stoploss is always in most of your trades, no shop loss in any of your trades means you are risking your capital, short and long squeezes can happen anytime and it's something you can't even control from this market, don't forget to make use of it regularly.

Learn to use risk reward ratio, if the trade can't give you more than what you are trading in 3 times more, it's not worth taking the risk. People who make this mistakes are mostly daily traders, you are risking a trade with a capital of $1000 for a $50 profit, it's not worth it.

Understand and read the market before going inside, take the weekend off if you must because times like this are move by manipulation, only week days can give you true information and you know true information is what drive the market, false information will only lead to price manipulation and such can bite you when you don't even expect.
27  Economy / Economics / Re: Disregard false religious teachings and invest for the future. on: May 19, 2024, 03:45:26 PM
I value religion and I'm not against it, but this post is concerning those who are religious and allow it to affect their mode of thinking, most people blindly believe in false teachings by some religious leaders and think what they believe on would favour them without putting effort, well I don't doubt that miracle happens but there are people who are too relaxed and put little effort towards making investments now to make their grey days work free and more easy.

I'm a religious person and I value other people's religion but I give priority even more to humanity, that's all that matters to me, how you worship your religion is not my business and as a person that value humanity make sure you invest into your self. Not investing in today means you are actually not helping tomorrow no matter the amount of money you are making today because that source is not a guarantee that it will come forever, continuity in making money from a particular place is an bubble.

A person who teaches the ways of a particular religion must have seen how life is and if there is any way they preach that investment is bad, then I will advice to stop going to such place to worship, they don't deserve your presence talk more of even your acceptance into that religion, invest today and enjoy tomorrow in peace.
28  Economy / Economics / Re: Take care of your money and learn to save. on: May 18, 2024, 09:24:45 PM
Saving is something that is very necessary for future needs. I myself have been doing it for several years and until now. As much as possible, I not only save but also invest. I usually set aside 10% of my salary to invest in Bitcoin so that at retirement age I don't run out of money. The money will continue to flow even if I don't work because I already have savings and income from investments.

Nothing is bad in saving but saving for long term in a country where inflation is high is a very bad idea. It's not everything you must invest all your money into, you may need money for emergency purposes, you might need money for health related issues and even insurance, this is where savings help you but when you are saving for years, the money start to lose it's value because of inflation because what you save to buy this year can't be the same price the following year, the price would definitely increase.

Investment is the best of all, if you aiming for long term money value and savings, it's what you need and what you need to be able to buy what they are selling at lower price today and be able to buy tomorrow even when the price has double, a saving would need an extra money to be able to buy what you need when the time is right.
29  Economy / Economics / Re: It's better to invest now than to regret it in a hospital bed. on: May 18, 2024, 03:39:36 PM
Yes, investments are really important. Everyone invests in one way or another. Because investments are like sowing and we all sow, whether it's in our finances, health, knowledge, relationships, etc. Investing at the right time is a win-win. But it's also never too late to invest. Investments come from money saved, making savings just as important as investments. You barely can invest what you haven't saved up or worked for.
So, just like OP, I also urge us all to save and invest in ourselves, we don't have to wait until there's barely any fruit to reap before we sow.

The OP would have just pass a message in a clear way that people would have still supported him. These Post was made on the 21th of April, Bitcoin was slightly above $60k and it's still right there at the same place as we are discussing this. What does it tells an average man, there is no one here that is actually late for investment, anytime you have the money, you can always buy your coin and if the market favour you, there is much to be made from crypto investment.

Investment doesn't start with Bitcoin or cryptocurrency, it goes beyond even the internet. The fact that you have money, there are other investments out there to put money into but people always gives priority to Bitcoin and crypto because of the return on the investment they get.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is it still risky to Invest into Altcoin now? on: May 18, 2024, 03:20:59 PM
Investing in altcoins is always risky even if it is a bull season we cannot say that the altcoin we buy will rise up after we buy and we will earn, it is not that simple, we still need to be careful specially on choosing the coins to buy this is the very hard part as an investors when we are going to choose the best we need a proper research to avoid losing money.

Buying a coin in a bull season is actually dangerous but buying a good coin during bull season will help you better particularly, the coin that are yet to see any return on investment, I don't mean the coins that has been pumped in the past bull cycle, the one listed and has only give return on investment on initial listing and that listing is not always consider as return, most often pre-sale investors do has coins lockup so there is no way they can sell.

You can also buy altcoin during the bull season but you have to be smart about it, you can buy altcoin during a pre-sale, this one is usually safe because the listing price is always better than the public price and the public price is always different from listing price, so investing in presale is good if you know your way in and out of crypto and sometimes money is what you need.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are more people getting excited about memecoins? on: May 18, 2024, 03:07:12 PM
        -    In addition, we are aware that you can actually become an instant billionaire if you fall for the hype around one. And that's it. There are individuals who are truly becoming wealthy with this, despite the fact that many others claim it's a shitcoin, pointless, or both.

Some take chances in the hopes of eventually obtaining the ideal moment for meme coins, which is why they do. Though many still think it's like playing the lotto. Perhaps the majority of them are a little risky.

A lot of people you see around the crypto space loves free things, it all started since the era of Airdrops, I mean the ICO times, and then Doge that gave rise to meme like Shiba allow the trend to continue to now. Solana is the next place and many people that invest as little as $100 turn that into something but this trend can't continue forever, most of the existing ones hasn't return anything significantbon investment, so the hype would probably be nothing serious.

I have seen another seen another trend of taping, there are multitudes that did this coin called notcoin and a lot it made some profits for people that rebuy from some people and there are more coming. I think investors might start going around this coins very soon and create a hyper trend with them to wake the bull run we are waiting for all this while.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will still be my choice this year. on: May 18, 2024, 02:59:26 PM
Correct . There are many types of coins on the market, but it will take a lot of time to look and examine them. One mistake, our money gets stuck there and we lose money. Yes. For ETH, besides being the king of altcoins, it is also the best to invest in. If the ETF is approved, it will likely fly without other coins adopting it using the Ethereum network's smart contracts.

You should be specific about the ETF, the ETF has been accepted and approved by security exchange commissions in other other places but US to be specific have not there own and with the way news are going, the chance of the approval is very slim. I could remember when everyone was waiting for Bitcoin ETF approval, there was some kind of green flag vibes that the approval was given but right now, it seems a lot of red flags are included in his fillings, so if you are holding ethereum because of ETF, then you have to reconsider.

I respect ethereum as the king of smart contracts and the community are very loyal. They don't snitch of abandoned the project for any team that want to compare and contrast, so if you want to hold base on the community bullish on the coin, then it's a good coin to hold for the long term.
33  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why People Naturally Chase loses in gambling.. on: May 17, 2024, 05:36:18 PM
Besides what you point out, it is human nature to take advantage of every opportunity presented. Some call it greed, some call it fulfillment, but whatever the name, there's a human side that wants to take a chance because this is how we evolve in our existence.

So many of our characteristics show up in how we gamble, but our failures in gambling in not understanding how the gambling platform works, thrive in tempting us to put our wants into action in gambling platforms so people naturally chase their losses in gambling.

You see that greed, many people who imdulge in such kind of risk don't use the money they can afford to lose, they see that opportunity as a smart move but what they don't know is that gambling itself has some smart characteristics in the sense that if you don't look well, you are going to regret using that money in the first place, so when they are caught in the act of loss, they tend to chase the loss which in the process they lose more again.

It's just natural for human to take advantage of anything that comes their way but gambling isn't what you do like that, most often you will make nothing and when you put money that you really need that badly, the end result is regret and if you don't want to see the madness, don't try to chase the loss.
34  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Concerns grow over online gambling among teens on: May 17, 2024, 05:29:17 PM
That's the bad side of online gambling, you can't really control the users you get, even with the under 18 rule, teenagers can just lie and still get access to gambleing features, I think they have to get more strict and find better ways to keep teenagers off gambling sites, maybe by taking some birth certificate as part of their kyc verification, I think that would reduce the amount if teenagers in online casino.

The problem here is that there are national lottery and gambling platforms, such platforms doesn't request for KYC rather they used account number to determine users and such system give rise to increase in number of teens in gambling, anyone can literally open a gambling account and then used an adult account to fund the gambling platform and bet his games while the casino might be using the account number to think it's an adult that is behind the account.

Strict kyc requirements is what casino need but even the casino doesn't request for KYC from th beginning and it increases under age gamblers and this is done deliberately to make money from people, it's after the person has gamble they later request for KYC and users that don't request for withdrawals on time might have gamble for months before making withdrawals.
35  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: May 17, 2024, 04:47:00 PM
one of Dortmund advantages that can be utilized perfectly against PSG is that Dortmund has very good defensive abilities and even PSG was unable to break down the very strong defense that Dortmund has even though this team is really not the favorite but Terzic managed to prove that Dortmund is worthy of the given praise.
however, even though Dortmund hopes look very big, beating Real Madrid is not something easy because mentally Madrid is always more prepared to be able to look for empty places to continue to put pressure on Dortmund defense until Ancelotti sees where Dortmund weaknesses are and will be attacked strongly in the second half second.

Look beyond PSG match against Dortmund and you will understand that Dortmund aren't that good like that, it was easy for Atletico Madrid to print goals on them but there is one thing they are so good at, they are good at quick counter attack and then guide in defensive, they rush to make goals and then come back to guide and defend, that was what PSG didn't decode in both home and away, they were attacking and Dortmund were defending and attacking together.

Anceloti will break that guide strategies under some minutes in the first few minutes of the match, they did that with Liverpool in their last Champions League final and they hold them down till the end of the match. I'm even expecting atleast over 1.5 goals from Real Madrid on that game day.
36  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Understanding the Impact of Social Media in Gambling. on: May 17, 2024, 04:34:35 PM
A lot of social media influencers especially vloggers and YouTubers are promoting gambling usually at the end of their vlogs or videos.
I could see a huge contribution and spread of information that they made especially during this time where the majority are using smartphones already. In fact, we've been seeing a massive increase in gamblers and online gambling sites. But how this could affect the mindset of the kids when they are also seeing these ads/promotions from the social media influencers they followed? I could be wrong but this has a mental effect on them and at a very young age, they are exposed to gambling already which is supposedly not the right time.

I think these influencers must know their target audience before accepting the offer or should not be included in their vlogs or videos?

Not only on YouTube, they are very popular on TikTok, X formerly Twitter), Facebook and what they do is that they don't directly advertise gambling platforms, they do their normal videos like joke, comedy, football bant, sport analysis and then they tell you to click on the link on their BIO and when you do, you will be directed to a particular gambling platform with 100-300% bonus on your first bonus, so many of them without remorse for underage.

Underage this days are very inquisitive and they want to know what's you actually mean by that % increment on deposit because everyone literally want to make money these days, and it's even funny that nobody speaks about this actions because it has become the norm in the society but it's bad.
37  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: May 17, 2024, 04:23:35 PM
The Premier League is always interesting and there are many surprises that often occur in this league, it cannot be denied that this season there are many surprises that occur, with the battle for the Premier League title between Arsenal and Manchester City still ongoing, this week will determine who will succeed. brought home the Premier League title this season.

I didn't see any surprises here, if Arsenal actually is the one at the top, then I will say that indeed I'm awed by the outcome but the fact that it's Manchester City that still dominate the tittle got 3 seasons in a row, then there is nothing new here, just a monopolistic league that other teams are trying to change but they are always unsuccessful with the outcome. Chelsea last week's come back are my only surprised and how they win games without even expecting it.

Quote
Since the start of the season, the competition for the Premier League title has been very heated, but currently there are only two remaining between Arsenal and Man City, but talking about who is successful in fighting for the title this season, if you look at Man City, they are very superior in terms of play and they are also 2 points ahead of Arsenal, and will later meet West Ham to determine the title, West Ham is not a tough opponent for Man City. This will be an opportunity for Man City to successfully defend its title starting in the 2021 season.

Arsenal had it all, even Liverpool was just doing follow but I knew they will fell off along the line, their quick exit from the first top of the tree didn't come as a surprise but even when Arsenal was losing some much, I knew they will come back stronger which they did but still lose some important matches. After my calculations right from Atson villa, winning those matches would have given them a better place but they lose that important match which was the light to all this struggles of winning the league.

38  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why sports betting? on: May 16, 2024, 08:24:14 PM
I doubt this statement. I mean, obviously, dice, slot, and any other pure luck based games are easier than sports betting, because you don't need to think deeply or analyze something to be able to minimize your chances of losing. Unlike sports betting, you will need to analyze the odds, watch games to understand how the game works, be updated with the news around the league to better understand why the bookies came up with a specific odds, and a lot more things that you need to learn and analyze before placing your bets. Well, it could be easy if you just place your bets in any team and any odds and any type of betting, mindlessly. That for sure is gonna cost you money.

I think the easiest was coming from his own contest. For instance, if not now that gambling platforms are trying to make players to play casino games, we don't have much casinos games here especially the physical ones, we are not conversant with them and the alternative is sports bets and that's what many people play here and if you watch matches, you can make predictions easily even from the leagues you don't frequently watch bit casino games might probably need experience before one can win.

Sport betting also don't need much of your presence, once you are done making your picks, you can go ahead and stake whatever you can afford to lose on it and you are good to go, you can go and do your job, work and anything that will require your presence but that's different from casino games, if you are not there you can't win because you need to play.
39  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do Owners of betting companies bet? on: May 16, 2024, 08:19:37 PM
Owners of betting companies don’t have the time to place a bet and it may not be useful because he is also paying himself, unless it a business that has a share holders and maybe the owners of the company has 50% and he can know gamble because everyone in the company deal with percentage

I believe that a person who runs a business and generate their targeted business will be busy with how efficient the business will last and how it's going to be generating more money for the company and not be busy playing. I'm not sure if the company is even going to allow it's staff to play in their own personal casino because it's wouldn't go well for the casino, imagine the owner of the betting company playing and then he won millions, who is going to pay him the millions?

If a person runs a casino, the aim and objectives will be how to accumulate more money instead of how to remove the money from company, even the staffs employed wouldn't be allow because they will suspect and will think he cheated, everyone will think the same thing especially if it's a casino games or any game that will be running from the system which they know it's possible to manipulate from within the system.
40  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who should quit, and why? on: May 16, 2024, 08:08:15 PM
Both spouses can easily combine work, household, child rearing, gambling and other entertainment, if they have a desire to have a strong family and they are responsible people. If they are not, they will find problems without gambling, because we know many stories when spouses who have never been into gambling, divorce, have problems with outstanding debts, etc. Everything depends on the spouses themselves and their goals, not on gambling.

I don't really think gambling will take one away from family responsibility, not like you are going to office work where you will spend the rest of your day in the office doing all the work without having any time for even yourself. Gambling can be done in the comfort of your home, even if a woman is a gambler, it shouldn't be an objective for not taking care of family unless she's an addicted gambler that prefer to spend time with gambling than his family.

My only issue with women gambling is financial stability, most homes women are subjective to their husband and they are been taken care by their husband, so when they decide to go route of gambling, where will they be having the money to gamble, who will fund the gambling lifestyle. If she doesn't and use the family money to gamble, they will run into problems later unless she is a type that is naturally good at winning.
