21  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling for fun, is it a lie that we tell ourselves? on: December 27, 2023, 01:19:46 PM

Some people gamble for the feeling I have seen people throwing away big money and it is nothing to them because they want to boast their ego and that's fun for these people.

Yeah, we have different financial standing in life, some are rich, while some are on the middle class. I didn't include the poor as they don't have the right to gamble, at least this is a way to discourage them as in the first place, gambling is fun, so why would they gamble when they are struggling financially, it's not fun anymore and gambling would just give them more burden in life.

It's fun for those who are capable of spending money for gambling, that's the real talk here.
22  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should mentally unstable people be allowed to gamble? on: December 27, 2023, 12:16:39 PM
Firstly I will not judge someone's mental health from their appearance this common saying don't judge a book by the cover so don't judge from the look first, when I read the story I was expecting the part when you will say he fought or harassed someone in the casino shop but you never mentioned so how is this person mentally unstable?, I know of a man in my locality he always appears as a mad man but he is normal and strangers usually mistake him as a mad man, in my opinion if he's not causing any harm or threat then he's allowed to gamble, there's no law as such in a local casino shop but still some people will refuse to attend to someone dressed like that.

Sometimes people are judge due to their poor physical appearance. However, this is gambling, appearance is not important there as no matter how you look, at long as you have the money to play, you are very much welcome.

There are people who are consistent in going in a gambling shop and actually they are the biggest contributors of the profit of a casino as those who are rich are very smart in managing their money, they just gambling occasionally and they have control to just bet based on limit. These small time gamblers usually makes mistakes, they go aggressive and sometimes they'll end up borrowing because they go beyond their budget.
23  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lack of proper knowledge on casino games increases chance of loss and reduce fun on: December 27, 2023, 11:27:50 AM
before playing, it is a good idea for a gambler to know how the game they are playing works. there are many platforms they can use such as youtube, google, etc, to find out tips and tricks for playing the game. as gamblers become more knowledgeable about the games they play, their potential for losing will be slightly reduced, especially in table and card games, which require skill, knowing the flow of the game and the necessary tricks is very important so that players can win.

How on earth will someone get involved in something you know nothing about. Gamblers are on a very high risk when they bet on game without any knowledge of the game. Even though it's gambling, being uncertain about the result. One can still make a good decision for winning with good knowledge about how the game works.

Everyone of us starts being a newbie, though we have a knowledge on how to play, but that little knowledge is quite dangerous. But as we go along, we tend to enjoy what we are doing until we fall in love with the game, it's not about the chances of winning, it's more on the entertainment it will bring. Being a wise gambler, we don't risk big money when we aren't confident yet with our chances, so the risk will be reduce even if we are still at the experimenting stage as we would only lose a minimal amount, that if we know how to manage the risk.
24  Economy / Economics / Re: Food for thought on: December 27, 2023, 06:41:21 AM
There are people that are okay to stay with their lifetime with their good bosses and that's why even if you tell them to inject ideas like this, they'll not try it. It's about the comfort and steadiness that they're getting from their bosses and company. But those that are unfortunate and can't find a good company and boss. They're the ones that are eager to find their fortune with having a business and that's why they're trying it out.

Just to give the idea, not all that try it on the first try becomes successful and that's a fair scenario for most who are trying it. But good to those that are doing well and getting the idea on how to do things on their adjustment periods and these are the people that are eager to try new things and they're not building up and taking care of someone's business but their business, owned and it can be inherited by their kids. That's one good thing with having your own business but even with all of those encouragement, not everyone will have the balls to do this.
Opportunities do not happen to everyone, hence we can't expect for equal opportunities to all. I believe a lot would really want to have a side business that they can get additional income aside from their day job, but their time and finances do not cooperate. Or they have all the time and money but they don't have sufficient knowledge and skills that will make their business or investment works. The reason why a lot still end up sticking to their first job and continue to work in order to produce consistent flow of income.

Lucky are those who were given good opprtunities to start a business for themselves, because they can be no longer work for others since they are the boss already of their own business. And most especially, their income will never be fixed anymore as they can have unlimited profits every now and then.
25  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New Trends Among Beginner Traders on: December 26, 2023, 09:57:21 PM
Social media posted videos and activities will never be reliable all the time. You have to filter out activities that you think are all lies and stick to what has been working and legit. Same with the case of beginner traders, you can't expect from them that they are really well experienced and are profitable in real live trading. Because if they really are, they will not do a lot of talking and brag whatever they can brag, just let their performance do the talking which I think is hard for beginners.
26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When (if Tenable) is The Right Time to Share Your Bitcoin Private Keys? on: December 26, 2023, 06:52:36 PM
I know this is really hard for us to find trustworthy person who will continue our legacy or take the benefits from the investment that we started. For me since I'm married, I have my spouse and I'm still starting to teach her about bitcoin and all the stuffs, most especially when it comes to wallet security. I know in the long run I have her got my back that's why I'm now starting to expose to her my stuffs in bitcoin as well as my private keys so that if I encounter sudden death, then I will be confident to leave to her all my bitcoin property.

Death is inevitable that's why we have to always prepare for it. The reason if we can find trustworthy person earlier, the better. But if there's really none, then we will come to bring with us our bitcoin investment in death, since we don't have choice either.

28  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Year end survey ; Best Signature campaign manager on: December 26, 2023, 03:36:19 PM

29  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It is you who can't stop betting. on: December 26, 2023, 03:10:42 PM
When you are enjoying gambling, there's no reason to stop it as it's not something that will put your finances at risk.

That's why I can't stop it because I'm enjoying it much. I'm not really into big stake gambling, I just put a penny and enjoy. Although I envy those who are betting big but I  know myself that I'm not yet on their level, I'm just a small time earner, so I should also allign my expenses in gambling.

As long as we consider our gambling activity as expenses, that would give us an ease in gamblnig, we can easily accept losses because from the very start we are already ready to lose.

Jordan Poole was given a tribute by the Warriors before the game. Just a season ago, he was touted to be another Splash brothers, but it was a massive U-turn and they have to make a decision to trade him.
He deserve that because without him the Warriors would have not won a championship.
Poole was playing spectacular basketball during the playoffs that leads him to signing a decent contract, but after that his game has been downgraded, reason why he was traded. However, despite of that, his contributions to the championship will never be forgotten.

And Kuminga is the star in this game as he just bullied everyone inside including Poole. The usual Curry and then Klay hitting some good 3 points in the 4th quarter. Now it seems that their mentality as a champion is back and already move forward with the Draymond Green drama.

Good ball movement was the key here, and yes, Kuminga is now a start of the team as he bring high energy with his defensive ability.

And the win streak continues, also, let's commend Jackson-Davis performance, he had a double double in this game, 15 rebounds (5 offensive - 10 defensive) and 10 points, that's  very impressive, and he's been doing some consistent contribution to the team.

Remember, this is the line up that beat the Celtics just recently.

I'm not updating myself with regards to the in-season tournament, but can somebody tell here what will be the advantage of the Lakers now that they won the in-season tournament? I mean are there any benefits that they will be getting as the regular season progresses? Thank you very much

I think that was just to add more excitement but there was no advantage given by the NBA aside from the Lakers earn more confidence going forward, Also, the price isn't that huge compared to the contacts.

35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Looking to sell a computer to raise money to invest in Bitcoin. on: December 08, 2023, 07:24:01 PM
I'm 19 years old, living in Korea, and I'm thinking of selling a computer to raise money to invest in bitcoin. I think I can sell it for about $600. I get about $100 a month as an allowance from my father. $100 is only for personal use, not for living expenses. I've been using these $100s to buy bitcoin for a few months now. It's ridiculously small money, but I believe it could be quite a lot of money if I keep saving it steadily. Is selling a computer the right decision?
You can as long as you don't need your computer anymore, otherwise you will regret selling after you lose. But let me ask you, why are you in hurry investing in bitcoin, so you won't miss the bull market? That's a wrong mindset. Never invest on the money that you can't afford to lose but always invest on a small amount that you are okay to lose. I think investing with $100 is fine enough.

Just sell your computer for emergency purposes. Don't do it so you can invest. Bitcoin can wait, but emergency cases can't.
36  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are bitcoin investors violators? on: December 08, 2023, 03:23:55 PM
The government itself is breaking its own laws either, as if the government officials are not taking advantage of their positions so they can continue to protect their inside anomalies.

And who cares if bitcoin investors are considered violators, I guess no one will also admit that he is holding bitcoin so he can protect his own welfare as well. If the government officials are protecting theirselves so they won't be caught violating the laws, same goes for bitcoin investors. They will continue to access bitcoin privately without giving any hints to the government.
37  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading advice for newbies on: December 08, 2023, 02:41:41 PM
1. Learn about the volatile market
2. Learn how to analyze chart
3. Take your time to practice demo trading before going into real trading.
4. Do not be greedy, take profit when it’s best to do that, do not hope to get the whole world at a time.
Want thing about trading is that their is no shortcut about it to earn money, trading is a skill that requires good attention that people needs to follow it accordingly.  Any little mistakes in trading can result to lose, their are a lot people needs to learn about trading. Trading is not what anyone can just enter the market and try to trade with mere understanding,  instead it is what people needs to learn and be sure what they are doing when they enter the market.

Everything in trading requires learning even down to the character a trader needs to exhibit,  it is also what people needs to learn too. If beginners enters the market with a mindset of get rich quick, it is just an easy way to lost all they have. Trading doesn't make people to be rich quick, trading is just a skill that generate profits for traders and be understood well.
Trading requires a step by step process to follow, and one should take time learning through it. However, I see newbies jumping into trading without sufficient knowledge and skills, and have no experiences in the trading market, and end up with an expected outcome, that is losing all their funds. That is the reason why greed should never motivate traders to trade immediately for quick profits, because the result will always be negative.

Good thing trading can be learned in time. If you lose in your initial trades, that's okay because that is a sign that you are going to learn from it as well. But if you consistently lose and never makes any chances of getting profits, probably you are doing the wrong thing in trading, or you're not really meant to trade but only good for long term hodling.
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would it be enough to buy 100 dollars worth of Bitcoin every month? on: December 08, 2023, 11:10:05 AM
I'm preparing for the college entrance exam to go to college, so I can't make money from working. I get about $100 of allowance from my father every month. I use all of them to buy bitcoin because I can use father's credit card for expenses such as food, clothes. I can buy Bitcoin on a satoshi basis every month, but when I see people buying Bitcoin basis on the internet, I feel like I'm too behind myself. Maybe they have a much higher income than me because they have a job. I think I can only invest $100 a month for the next year or two, would that be enough? I am worried about missing big bull market with halving and etf approval.
Don't compare yourself to others because you are still a student while others are already working on their stable jobs, which means they are more capable to invest more than you. However, buying bitcoin with your monthly allowance is already good enough, that would be a lot already years from now if you do it consistently. But my concern is maybe you would consider subtracting a little amount from your allowance than to invest it all, so you can save for your other expenses and for emergency funds as well. Students have a lot of extra expenses so better save for it.

You would not miss a bull market as long as you consistently purchase bitcoin even with a small amount. What matters now is that you will gain future profits from bitcoin, compared to those who have not invested at all.
39  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Bitcoin really risky as they say? on: December 07, 2023, 09:29:34 PM
Bitcoin is totally a high risky asset, and anyone who enter bitcoin investment without sufficient knowledge and understanding on the crypto market will find bitcoin investment as a way to lose more. That is why prior knowledge on bitcoin and on the crypto market is a must. Otherwise, you will keep barking at its wrong tree. And you will never see the value of bitcoin then.

However, for those who have been staying in the bitcointalk forum and on the crypto market for quite a period of time, they now have the ideas on how to lessen the risk on bitcoin investment.
40  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sympathetic gamblers looses itself on: December 07, 2023, 08:22:35 PM
I have seen some facial expression gamblers that I am emotionally touched about and feels they have loosed more than they can handle and feels they deserves an condolence winning. While I empathic with him his amount of lost, I am then to consoling myself that someone on here has lost more than I do.

This is exactly how some gamblers runs out of gambling budgets and goes bankrupt because they fails to figure what their net worth or incomes value is.

They are basically to believe one who lost $20 has lost more to them who looses $10.
Losses are inevitable in gambling, and the more you decide to gamble more, the higher the chances that you'll end up losing. My point here is that no one forces you to lose yourself and your funds, it's your decision to gamble and lose. So why would you ask for a condolence winning when you know it's your fault why you used up all your budget and funds.

This is why learn to gamble on the amount that you can afford to lose. Gambling is a form of entertainment, and not a source of money making. You can always chose to gamble but set your betting limit amount that you are comfortable losing, that way you won't be regretting later on.
