401  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Better to have a trading knowledge than depending on signals. on: July 03, 2023, 08:44:47 PM
I guess everyone has tried buying trading signals and I can say that not all of them have made profits after that. Simply because paid trading signals do not guarantee success. That is why traders should never be involved in trading if they will only rely for other people’s knowledge in trading. They should have their own knowledge and mastery in their skills to trade, even set their own strategies that will make their trades successful. That way, they will trade because they know how to deal with the market’s volatility and with their own knowledge and develop strategies in trading, most likely they will end up trading with profits rather than see theirselves at the losing end.
402  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 30, 2023, 12:35:31 PM
It's been a few days since I've been analyzing the negotiations/trades that are happening with several NBA teams, especially the last draft.

Wemby is one of the most commented and discussed player nowdays.
I even believe there is a hype.

I clearly remember the Holmgren's injury at the beginning of the last season

Chet Holmgren and Victor Wembanyama are similar players, they are tall, they have good ball handling, they can shoot, they are fast players and they are also skinny and maybe even fragile compared to other NBA players.

Something that worries me is Wemby's body.
Guys, do you believe, Wemby could get injured soon because of his skinny body size?

Nowadays injuries are quite common in the NBA especially during a rookie's season. The question is who will dominant this season and who won't get injuries?
Also there is a significant ongoing debate about who will claim the title of Rookie of the Year (ROTY) considering that Chet Holmgren will also be entering his first NBA season!

I'll pick Chet Holmgren. How about you guys?

Aside from Chet and Wemby, there are others as well that can be the ROTY and that is very possible because their build aren't as fragile as the aforementioned players and they can be agile just like what Banchero did in the last season. But who knows who will claim that title, but if we will choose from Chet or Wemby, I'll be with the latter.
403  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: June 30, 2023, 08:01:16 AM
I'm sure Canada and Mexico both like to host more games because the benefits they can earn from the visitors are good enough for them. However, If they were going to host most of the games instead of America, I don't think Mexico or Canada are in a situation to host the games. Because the sports facilities they have in America are much better than what they have in Mexico.

I will not agree if you are going to argue that the facilities in the United States are much better than those in Mexico (I don't know much about Canada, BTW). Mexico has some of the largest and most beautiful football stadiums in the world and they hosted the FIFA World Cup in 1986 all by themselves. Back then, the final was played at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, which had a capacity of 114,600. And most of the stadiums in the United States are those used for NFL and MLB.

Considering that FIFA is now introducing the new format that will happen in 2026, Mexico and Canada will seriously have some hardships in catering these games as we know that even if they have some stadiums that can withstand and allocate the audience, it is still not enough compared to the USA where they can host the games simultaneously.

The games that each country will hold has been surely discussed by both three countries before they announced it as I'm certain that if only Canada and Mexico can do the same thing as the USA, then I think they already did it.

Quote
It takes a lot of effort to convert these facilities to host football matches.
But it will be worthwhile considering the revenues that they could generate after.
404  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 30, 2023, 07:26:05 AM
As far as Bivol goes, he said he is willing to fight the winner of Charlo vs Alvarez, or at least if Canelo wins. He might have a dance partner this October, England’s Dan Azeez. But let's see if this is going to push through or not. Because Azeez could fight Buatsi as well for a eliminator and winner facing Bivol for this belt.

But within 168 pound division and considering that Canelo win his title defense against Charlo because Bivol also said that he was not really inclined to fight with Canelo and have a rematch in his own division as that will not make any difference at all. I mean, that is reasonable in Bivol's side as it was indeed clear as crystal that Canelo cannot defeat the WBC champ in the LHW division.
405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BEST TIMEZONE FOR SPORTsBETTING on: June 28, 2023, 08:41:28 PM
Ohhhh god!!! how can be this possible?Huh? WHAT its so hard to understand?.

Im not talking about PREMATCH BETS OBVISULY IN THAT CASE DOESNT HAVE ANY RELEVANCE.

HOW I HAVE TO SAY IM TALKING ABOUT LIVE LIVE LIVE LIVE BETS ON LIVE MARKETS

Still, it doesn't really matter which time zone we are in because as long as we wanted to see the game or fight live, we always figure out how to watch it live even if there's a time difference or even if we are in the middle of something. As long as we have the will, we will always make it especially because we are inclined to bet on it live and not do a pre-match bets.

Talking about timezone, mine is +8 which turns out really great especially if I'm watching and betting on boxing and basketball.
406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: June 28, 2023, 08:18:19 PM

Now, fighting with another young aspiring fighter, let see if how Donaire will try his best to reclaim the title
after Inoue vacated the belt.

Yes, he is the favorite in this fight based on experience and the tools and we have seen Donaire somewhat dominating this division. But Inoue is the king of 118 lbs obviously and Nonito is the second best. But since Inoue has move up, then perhaps Nonito can get back and claim his belt back.

We will see if he can still show the fans why he once dominated this division before Inoue take the belt from him.

Surely it will be an anticipated fight from his loyal fans and with the expectations of winning this upcoming fight, we will
see if Donaire can still bring that same performance and bring the same outcome against a much younger and an aspiring
fighter who is also dreaming to reach his time on being a champ.

No matter what angle I try to see it, I always see some chances that this Alejandro Santiago will win the fight because apart from he's much younger, he is also more agile and that makes him in-par with the current Donaire and if he is durable enough to eat Donaire's punches then I guess that will be a good gauge that he can definitely bring the fight in his favor.

Of course, I'm with Donaire on this fight because aside from we came from the same country, I'm also his fan since I took interest in watching boxing fights. But I just cannot deny that after seeing the Lopez vs Taylor fight, it gives me a different perspective about the reality of this match.

It's possible that there could be upsets, we can't discount that thing specially if Santiago shows great resiliency and in the best version of himself. And then we are going to see how Donaire is, maybe he is in shape but perhaps due to age he might be a different fighter now.

Donaire needs to be active and doesn't want to go on long lay-offs, but he could be training even before the actual released of the official fight. So we will see if there will be another upset in the making or Donaire having a belt again.

Donaire is having an Age which means it will matters on his performances because we all know how the boxing industries work upon them. And as we saw that Donaire now is slower than before which is when he is in his prime we can see a good and veteran donaire in the ring. A super good counter punches leads him a good record in his career. But now I don't think so if he can still fight a good fight as we all know that age can matters.

I think that's one way to look at it but considering the fact that Donaire is still eager to fight in the ring means that he is still confident that he can make a difference and become a champion once again. Age is a factor, yes, but not that wholly that it will be a huge factor to determine who will win because even if he's not that flashy anymore, he can still give a good punch that one can be KOd if they are caught off guard.
407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: June 28, 2023, 06:50:53 PM

Donaire was a great example of a true champion, as he was well aware that Inoue could beat him again, and yet he still risked a unification match to test himself against Inoue once more.
Inoue is also a great example as he always seeks to fight the best opponents, which is why he became an undisputed champion in the bantamweight division. After winning, he wasted no time in moving up for the super bantamweight title match. If he succeeds again, it would be a tremendous accomplishment, and I am certain he will continue pushing his limits.

He had to climb in ranks though, as he started is fights all in Japan, but his handlers knows his true potential and they have been given the chance to fight in the US and be exposed from boxing fans because of Bob Arum.

So we might hate Bob Arum and Top Rank, but surely they know how to promote a fighter like Manny Pacquiao. And after winning the WBSS tournament, Inoue become a household name in the US and then he started his path to defeat all great fighters unifying all the belts.

Now, his journey continues as he might want to do it at 122 lbs.

There will be a time in the future for sure that he will have to fight in other countries like in US or somewhere in Europe, or even in the Middle East if Inoue will face an opponent that have a much bigger name than him. But not now because the organizer and promoter is more inclined to make the fight happen in Japan as it was already evident that they can generate big profits in that certain country and considering that Inoue won this fight and will take the undisputed fight, I'm also confident that they will contest the fight in Japan again instead of the Philippines where Marlon Tapales came from.
408  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 28, 2023, 06:29:49 PM
^ We’ll see. The Trailblazers have been praising Dame for years and saying that they’d help him get to where he wants to go if he ever wanted to leave the franchise, so I could see them letting him go for a lot of picks instead of trying to get a star player. Dame is also starting to age, so from a business standpoint it’s probably time to part ways with him anyway.

At this point in time, I just don’t see why he would even want to stay in Portland. It’s been pretty clear they aren’t willing to spend the money to bring in some big guns to help give him at least a chance to compete for a championship.

Dame is easily one of the best shooters of all time and one of the best players I’ve ever seen, his window of being a star is now limited, so in my opinion he needs to ask to be traded to a contender.

I agree. Now if Dame will not force a trade then unfortunately, I think he will be one of those stars that will be up for retirement without having any chips on their shoulders and was just wasted for staying for a team while hoping that maybe someday they will provide you some help by bringing good players that can get the team to a much higher position in the upcoming seasons. But hopefully he will make a move though.
409  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The green shouldn't always be the reason to enter the market on: June 27, 2023, 09:49:02 PM
Know that the best time to buy is when the price is low and the best time to sell is when prices are obviously high. So if you enter while the market is red, that is actually a perfect market entry and take advantage of buying everything that are low prices, but of course reserve a bigger allocation for bitcoin. Bitcoin is still the best profitable crypto investment so far. However, when the market is green, that’s perfect time to sell after you have maximize your crypto accumulation when the market was still red.
410  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kids and Bitcoin on: June 27, 2023, 09:22:39 PM
My next Bitcoin awareness approach now are the children, there are many kids in my family and very soon our get-together tradition is approaching, I need your help in this forum if this is possible.

I remember when I was little, I love reading books that have good pictures on them, like comics and novels painted with amazing pictures, from Peter Pan to DareDevil and Supergirl, while growing up as an adult I ended giving out these comics to my cousins.

My question is where can I buy Bitcoin comic books that can catch the attention of children between the age of 7 to 11? I want something in comic or story book style and with full story about Bitcoin or related... I want to buy and wrap them up for the surprises.

That is a good idea I think. But I have not seen physical stores who are actually selling those kind of bitcoin comic books. However, just my own point of view, are those early ages of children will manage to keep their interest in bitcoin? And if ever they will love the idea, i don’t think they will keep the information for long knowing children’s focus are only playing and having fun. So i still think it’s still useless for them to learn at an early age knowing the fact that they can’t even manage their own savings as well.
411  Economy / Economics / Re: Has everyone become too pesimistic about the economy? on: June 27, 2023, 08:45:19 PM
I'm not optimistic about the economy in general but I'm very optimistic about the future of Bitcoin, not only is it going to hit six figures but it's on its way to global adoption soon in the future.

I'm also optimistic that it's not up to governments to ban cryptocurrencies, I'm not sad if they ban some because many of them are already worthless, but the general idea is that they can't ban bitcoin and other major currencies.

What I care about is that after all these big problems and strong campaigns on exchanges and companies related to Crypto, in the end, Bitcoin emerged as the biggest victor, and the community and even large companies’ confidence in Bitcoin increased.
That’s also my point. I don’t have any control whatever will happen to the world’s economy and I don’t find any positive reason to engage myself in it. However, my only concern is the future of bitcoin. I know it has still a lot of potentials to give so hopefully, the government will somehow be open minded about bitcoin and just give the people’s freedom if they want to utilize bitcoin just like how they became fiat dependent before. But for sure, it takes a lot of study and keen observation before the government will start to acknowledge the good side of bitcoin.
412  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help and encourage newbies to grow. on: June 27, 2023, 07:56:20 PM
Newbies take too much seriously here in the forum to get ranked up immediately; better to observe the posting habit of prominent members and check what they have that you don't have yet so that you can narrow your self what the possible posting adjustment you can do, another thing is your knowledge if you are a complete newbie into the cryptocurrency taking rank up makes you more time but continuously learning and growing through knowledge and information you can get an idea what are the possible contents you can share in the community, people appreciated those gives you merit through your journey to rank up. Chase the knowledge, not the merits. Alot of new comers ask here how to earn and if they saw its hard on their side they leave the forum immediately.
Newbies should never rush into getting merits, that will easily come later on when they have all the knowledge and experience that are relevant for other forum members. For now, since they find it hard to ride in the forum, then they need to feed theirselves first with adequate knowledge and honed their skills along with their daily experience in the forum. That way, they will come to understand what others are trying to imply in the forum, and will easily share their own insights that are also essential and not off topic so that the rest of the members will also benefit their shared post.
413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think it's still wrong selling properties for Bitcoin? on: June 26, 2023, 09:49:06 PM
You know it’s very risky to sell your property in order to engage in a very unforeseeable and dangerous investment like bitcoin as you might resort into losing and selling your property may end up into waste. That’s why if I can keep my property as much as I can, then I will never compromise it to enter into another investment. But maybe in the situation of OP, he said he has a lot of properties so selling one or two of it are never a waste. Good thing his investment paid off, otherwise he’ll live to regret his decision in the future.
414  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risk management on: June 26, 2023, 08:59:11 PM
When trading there are rules to observe in other to protect your margin, it's more like if you can't make more money, don't lose the one you have,
That's where risk management comes in handy.
    The strategies are;

_ Don't risk too much money, start with what you can afford to risk. Focus on the risk not rewards.

_ Identify potential risk as;if it goes down, if you don't take profit, if you don't use stop loss and if the coin goes against your analysis.

_ Reacting to risk, use stop loss and always take profit.
I think managing the risk part is not something newbies look at closely, and they totally should. They take more risk than a veteran and that's a terrible thing because they should be doing a lot better in that regard, if they are taking more risk without as much experience then it will be a loss in the end. Obviously they do not take it seriously and since they are newbies they think they are not taking too much risk when in fact they are taking it.

This is why it is quite important to be careful. I personally take as little risk as possible in the crypto world even though I have been here for over 10 years now. Because, it is hard to make money here, but it is very easy to lose it so I better be careful. I suggest the same mindset to all the newbies who think they are taking very little risk, you can take even less.
Newbies are actually the most needed persons to execute risk management as they are more prone to losses the moment they start entering the market without prior knowledge and experiences. The fact that it’s hard to make money and be profitable in your investment, then newbies should be more aware about that so that they will learn to be extra careful when doing such risks. And while risks are inevitable when trading or investing, but those newbies who prefer to study the market first and gain sufficient learning are actually lessening the risk that they have to undergo.
415  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Getting Some Merit really boosted my motivation on: June 26, 2023, 08:25:05 PM
This may seem trivial to those who already rank high in the forums. but it really means a lot to beginners. Gaining Some Merits actually can revive dormant Motivation. But still I also realize that just motivation is not enough. but also must be accompanied by an increase in insight. with more diligent reading and so on.
Other beginners must also feel this way, right? I doubt if only I feel this pleasure.
I still see getting merits as very interesting and motivating that’s why regardless of my current position, I still make efforts to get merits by consistently learning from the forum particularly from the experiences of reputable members. But let me remind you that getting merits should not be our focus all the time. The fact that we are able to help and influence others with our valuable and quality posts, even without receiving merits is still very fulfilling for us.
416  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie Crypto Advice on: June 26, 2023, 07:51:00 PM
Hello I am looking to invest my 20,000 dollars for retirement but I don't know the best crypto for me to put into to save myself from inflation. I'm 64 years old and don't have the time to learn the ins and outs of this crypto stuff so if anyone can give me advice I would appreciate it.
You can contact me through the forum or via email I appreciate the help
It’s always bitcoin that you are looking for. But investing takes a lot of risk especially that bitcoin alone is highly volatile. The reason why you have to gain prior learning on how to manage and grow your investment before you actually decide to invest. Otherwise, bitcoin price drops will always make you feel frustrated, not realizing that it’s a good opportunity to buy more and hold more for future profits.
417  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Confident Are You In The Reliability of the KYC system on: June 23, 2023, 04:01:14 PM
Take note, Casinos will ask or demand a KYC if there's a big winning involved, is this one of their ways to scam their players?

It's somehow debatable because there are other platforms that I personally know of that are not really strict about their KYC procedure as long as you can provide the needed documents to prove that it's you personally who have won the money and of course, if you're eligible to get the massive wins and that you're already old enough to be playing for starters.

Although I also heard some isolated cases that casinos are using KYCs to get away with their responsibilities and has been using that ever since to decline the users of their winnings. I'd say, we've signed up for it and it was our own choice that we chose them and personally, it's already a gamble choosing reliable and reputable casinos because we all know that they are all not the same
418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: June 22, 2023, 01:22:42 PM
This world cup is going to be very interesting and unique because for the first time were going to have much more national teams in the world cup and on the other hand we are going to have three countries hosting the world cup at the same time.
However, the main host of the world cup is America, and the other two countries, Canada and Mexico are just helping America to host this tournament.

I'm expecting that the event will be more prestige and more entertaining compared to the last World Cup events because this time, America is holding it and we know how competitive they are when it comes to big events like this. Moreover, they have a lot of time to prepare for the upcoming event as I know that even before the Qatar was finished hosting the recent World Cup, North American countries already knew that they are up next.
419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Jermall Charlo Super Middleweight (September 16) on: June 22, 2023, 01:00:20 PM

WBC has favored Jermall Charlo to retain his belt even without having any title defense because the WBC champion had a serious head injury and other personal matters to solve, which made people to speculate that Charlo had a mental illness following his head injury.

Although none of that were confirmed, it will still remain as a mystery on why Charlo stayed inactive for almost two years.

And now that he is making his return, hopefully we can receive any answers during one of their few press conference or at least post-fight press conference.

The biggest question right now and I'm sure will be asked in the press conference is why a fighter like Canelo is in his comeback fight, I know Jermall is good but even a great fighter will have a hard time dealing with ring rust, two years is enough to consider it like retirement, unless he is not stopping his training and does sparring at least 2 weeks in a month.

Jermall will have a good excuse if he loses by knockout and I will be surprised and praise him if he upsets Canelo, Canelo's speed and power is still there, even though his dominant win against Ryder is being questioned.

He will have a good excuse if he will be defeated by Canelo but I don't think that he'll just sit quietly and wait for that to happen because it will be his first defeat, if ever. Besides, I cannot deny that it's hard to think that he will upset Canelo in his own comfortable division nor gamble against Canelo this time, and people are somehow saying the same thing too that.

But since Charlo agreed to fight Canelo in his return, I would like to think that there is a good plan behind this move because even this is a good paycheck for him after 2 years outside the ring, his record is also on the line. Anyway, still an exciting event so far.
420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Easy or hard to quit? on: June 22, 2023, 08:07:02 AM
Can you quit gambling if you make a life changing money and never go back to gambling?
It is difficult to answer this question with certainty, every gambling addict has their own character in gambling. For normal gamblers who can control themselves, they will probably stop for a while from gambling activities after making big money from gambling places. The reality is that there are lots of gamblers around where I live who find it difficult to stop even though they lose very often, while those who win will be even more active in gambling in the hope of continuing to win and win again. The habit can still be controlled, whereas if you become an addict you need to be rehabilitated to get rid of gambling addiction.
Gambling sites have now started to adopt such tactics that a gambler falls into deep addiction very quickly. So now it becomes almost impossible for a gambler to quit gambling after winning a large amount. and gambling has become a habit for many and many are using it as a profession. Gambling is now considered as a legitimate game in the minds of people, which is why it is now very difficult and almost impossible to avoid gambling.
I think gambling is a deadly addiction and many people are selling their wealth because of this addiction. Some people are trying to make money by gambling.  I think if someone tries to make money by gambling, they won't last long. Because a gambler can never quit gambling.  Even if he owns a lot of money at one time, he may lose all his money by gambling and become completely destitute.

It's totally not that addicted as long as you know you boundaries and limits in that field, there's nothing wrong with gambling honestly especially if you're just looking at it as a kind of entertainment where you can blow off some steam after long days of work. That's why a lot of people are also calling gambling as the most expensive form of entertainment as money will come and go in this industry. Same thing with people who are chasing for money inside casinos, there are some who are successful in doing that in which they are called professional gamblers.
