481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: May 25, 2023, 06:57:47 PM
Anyone knows who is going to be Haney next opponent? Wonder how he would look when he would defence his belts. I wonder if Loma and Haney would ever meet again. Fans would love to see their second fight, it would answer all the questions, but I think both, Loma and Haney are not looking forward for another fight.

As for a rematch between Loma and Haney, there's a slight chance that it will happen as aside from there's no rematch clause in their contract, Haney's side is already looking forward to see the next chapter and a chapter that doesn't have Loma on it. We may have our own speculations in Haney's next foe, but as per rumors, it's considered that it will be between Shakur Stevenson or Gervonta Davis.

My pick for tomorrow's game

Boston Celtics vs Miami Heat

It is game 5 for the Eastern Conference Finals and the Boston Celtics will be playing at TD Garden against the Miami Heat, with Heat on the lead Boston Celtics injury report Danilo Gallinari (knee) is out for this game and Malcolm Brogdon (forearm) and is questionable if he can play for the Celtics, while Miami Heat injury report Gabe Vincent (ankle), and Tyler Herro (hand), and both are out for this game against the Celtics, that performance for the Celtics was good they know they can not contest the Heat inside the paint so they are making shots outside and there is quite a lot of shots outside right now they surely made adjustments for game 5 so my pick is the Boston Celtics,

Tough call but it will in the hands of the Celtics on how will they play the game later, will they let the opposing side dictate the game? Or they will stay in the aggressive side to force their way again? Let's see who will have the win at the end of the day. Both teams have their own reasons to win, for the Celtics, it's been a struggle for sure because they likely did not expect the Heat to be like this while the Heat did not expect too that the Celtics will still put a fight and try to settle a score.

For me, I will be with the Miami Heat. Good luck folks!
483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: May 25, 2023, 04:45:19 PM
I don't think that we can classify Fulton a coward (sorry if I misunderstood your statement).

a. he travel to Japan Inoue's own backyard
b. he opted not to go for a rematch with Figueroa at 126 lbs
c. he should be moving up in weight already

So 3 facts that I think shows Fulton is not avoiding Inoue at any cost, on the contrary he might be chasing him because he wants to test himself against the best and you can only get one opportunity to fight the best fighter at the lower division. So Fulton is not going to back down.

I agree with you. In fact, it was Inoue who caused the delay of the fight due to his training-related injury. We should acknowledge Fulton's patience and determination as he waited for the fight to happen. Despite being the champion, he traveled to the home of his challenger, knowing that the judges might not be biased in his favor. This shows his commitment to facing tough competition and proving himself as a true champion.

There is no way Fulton can be branded as a coward. First, he unified his belt with another undefeated KO artist Brandon Figueroa and for most of the fight, Fulton did not back down even if he is not known as a heavy-handed fighter and went on to win a close fight.

And now Fulton is once again faced with another uphill battle as he travels to Japan to defend his belts against the monster. Fulton is a very gutsy fighter which is the result of his hunger for glory.

I have no doubts for Stephen Fulton and if we're just talking about the credits earned at super-bantam, then surely Fulton holds the most credits for being a true warrior and stood up without waving any signs of cowardness from him. Even this time, he could've already left the said weight class because he was already open that his time at 122 might be nearing its end but instead of doing that, he chose to stay and will face the WBO super champion, Naoya Inoue.

That alone is not an easy feat to do as he could've chose the safe side but he did not, moreover, I'm thinking that he's also taking things to the next level so that he can see for himself the limit of his skills and body as Naoya Inoue being his acid test.
484  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 25, 2023, 03:09:50 PM
There's no team in the NBA that win 0-3 deficit. I don't know where's the thing that exposed their defense but if they do I think they will adjust that onto the next game, there should always be a lesson to be taken. Might be just a rough night for Heat but I'd say that game 4 from the Celtics is a great game they have in this ECF and if they'll be consistent then they might have a chance.
That chance is too tiny.

As you've said, no one gets a history to have a straight win with that deficit and it's highly unlikely that Celtics could have it all. But who knows if they'll be the one to make it.

Well, just as everyone is saying and believing this is going to be with Heat. If the Celtics will prolong this to a game 7 then that's new history for everybody and that's gonna be a shame for the Heat but I don't think they'll allow it.

Chance is tine but who knows? The adjustment they made on game 4 is really amazing and if Celtics will perform like that maybe they are the first one will create a history that the first team who came up with 3-1 deficit and advance to finals. They perform very well and they punish Heat at game 4 so they need to maintain their energy just like that to compete and revive their chance to win their title this season.

It wasn't a 3-1 deficit, it's a 0-3 and that's the deficit where nobody have made it through not even the finest teams in the league since then. And talking about punishing, what happened in Game 4 wasn't really like that because the Heat made some mistakes that allowed the Celtics to have enough space instead of being aggressive from 1st to 4th quarter. Even the Celtics wasn't that impressed about their game, hence the statements released post-game.

If we're talking about punishment, that happened in Game 3 where the Celtics were forced to rest their core players and have the bench players face the Heat because they knew they cannot overcome what the Heat is doing at them at that game. If the Celtics wanted to win again, they should do better than what they did in Game 4.
485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Josh Taylor vs Teofimo Lopez on: May 24, 2023, 09:47:00 AM
It's less than 3 weeks before another big showdown of Top Rank happens. It seems like I am not seeing much of the 2 in social media, but maybe I am not following enough of the boxing media nowadays. Both are arrogant fighters so they will make a trend during fight week when both are in New York. Teofimo Lopez the more popular fighter in the US seems silent while Josh said he will retire Lopez.

And it seems like Devin Haney already re-signed with Top Rank. Top Rank earlier offered Haney (win or lose to Loma) a shot at the winner of Taylor-Lopez. So it will add more motivation for both fighters to win since their next show is once again a PPV which means big money once again.

Time flies so fast and before we knew it's already fight week between the two.

Lopez's last fight against Martin wasn't impressive and many thought that he lost that one (including me) so I think this Taylor fight is one hell of a climb for him and if indeed he will successful in dethroning Taylor then I guess money fights will await him in the future including Haney if ever the latter will decide to move up in weight.

I'm more inclined to a Taylor win so that Lopez will be humbled, arrogant kid with only a fluked win against Loma hehe (sorry to Lopez's fans here).

For sure, there will be a lot of doors will open for Teo Lopez if he can able to upset the crowd favorite as well as the bookies favorite but that is a big what if for now as just like you and me, there are the majority as well who is inclined to see JT winning.
Teo might think that he can do it but there's no way I'd believe that he can actually defeat the former undisputed and undefeated Josh Taylor until he can prove it clearly without a doubt because his skills are literally not enough to defeat the Tartan Tornado.
486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 24, 2023, 09:24:57 AM
I wouldn't fall for the bait of the bookies since this is the best game for Miami to shut the door on the Celtics and advance to the finals.

I think the Miami Heat are the bait here because people might expect a similar series to that of the Lakers and Nuggets. The Heat's big win in Game 3 adds to the belief that they should easily win the closeout game. Additionally, the line movement suggests that bettors are putting their money on the Heat, indicating that the Heat was the popular choice among the public. However, it's worth noting that the public often experiences losses in such situations.

Seems like it. I don't know what happened to the Miami Heat after having a good run in the 1st half because they definitely slowed down in the middle of 3rd quarter until the game ended while the Celtics has been poised not to lose the game anymore and their energy has been very lively to chase the Heat whenever they go and was able to give them answer as always. Tatum did a good job for always attacking the paint and his shooting has been impressive because he was always confident that he can do it.
487  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Importance of entrepreneur in school curriculum on: May 23, 2023, 09:57:15 PM
The world runs out of the entrepreneurs. Majority of the jobs opportunities were created by the entrepreneurs. Government can give job to certain percentage of the population. From the very beginning students need to be allowed to choose what they need to be in their lives. When it comes to school curriculum it is the base.

Nowadays there were more and more changes in the school and university curriculum. In particular different days were celebrated to give real-time experience. Recently in a school I saw a celebration in which students need to prepare crafts and they need to have their stalls and sell things. Finally teams need to give the calculation on the amount spend and the difference amount earned. This will give them a better learning experience and understand how marketing needs to be done and so on. This means curriculum needs to be more experimental based than theoretical.
In order for the students to prepare theirselves in the future, the schools should be more responsible enough to give them experimental cases than simply based on theories alone. Entrepreneurship will create a big difference in the future of the students, so they should be taught about it at an early stage and schools are the best avenue for it with their best entrepreneurship courses. Also, that will prepare the newly graduates to have a source of income as a means of their living in case they can’t immediately land a stable job.

Today, I now own a home and a nice ride, I was able to get married and settle down, but now they feel like they made a huge mistake for not listening to me.
You're lucky to have come from a country where such recorded short time successes aren't attributed to have come from crime or fraud. In my country, those friends of yours would even accuse you of indulging internet fraud because most of them are cynics who can't comprehend that one can make it big in crypto. I've a similar experience to yours.

Quote
would you help your discouraging friends if you are in my shoe?
Well, I would teach them but I would be charging them a fee for that since they rejected it the first time which I would've given it for free.
That’s also your decision. But for me, friends will always be friends especially if they have been supportive to you except on your bitcoin journey. So I’ll just help them instead, but I will make it clear to them that trading is never that easy to be productive. So if they can’t bear the risk and the future losses, then it’s better for them not to trade anymore.
489  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading or investment! What's your take? on: May 23, 2023, 08:55:04 PM
I think that trading is like the first stage of investing. It is quite difficult to invest without knowledge of the market, this aspect is also worth considering. But if you have knowledge of the market, you are already much more likely to succeed. At least that's what I would recommend doing.
Trading is like a business where a trader buy and sell a coin or token regularly and take profit and investment also should be in earning purpose. Investment is always long term but trade is both short term and long term.  An investment aims to make huge profits but in trading, small profits are also taken. So although the purpose of trading and investment is the same, there is a difference in mindset.
That also means that even if you’re good in investing, it won’t give the same positive result in trading. Investing is risky, but trading is more risky and complicated so you can’t expect to become successful and profitable from trading easily. That’s the reason why a lot of us here just settle for investing alone and leave trading for those professionals in it. Otherwise, trading will only waste your money and effort especially if you’re not really capable to succeed on your trades.
490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wife discovers husband's hidden Bitcoin during divorce proceeding on: May 23, 2023, 08:39:12 PM
This is why you do not disclose your crypto stash to someone else, not even your spouse unless you trust them with your life or you believe that they aren't with you just for the money. The last one is very difficult to prove especially nowadays that a lot of people only want to exist and be showered with affection and pampered with material things. That is why I do not really agree to speed dating up to a marriage, not unless you know your soon-to-be spouse since childhood and you are sure that they won't flip the switch if it ever comes to that.

Hopefully though, the husband gets to keep whatever crypto he has for himself. It's bullshit that your spouse get to keep half of what you built way even before you guys met while the other doesn't really help add any value to your life in case you get separated.
We all know that once you are married, those assets that you have acquired at that stage of your life will be automatically become a conjugal property between you and your wife. So whatever you have, your wife will also have half of it. However, in this story, I think it’s quite unfair for a man to share his fruit of hardwork especially if he has gained it already even before he met his wife. That’s the reason to never trust anyone easily, even your wife as you can be taken advantage by it in the future.

492  Economy / Economics / Re: When will we stop living for the weekend? Escaping the 9-5 life. on: May 22, 2023, 09:31:08 PM
Some people like this, some does it to survive, or others do it because they have no other options. Depending on your need, this could feel like hell or heaven. Also, there's a term that says, you need money in order to make more money. Many choose these 9–5 jobs so that they can save enough money in order to start a business on their own. So if you have a plan and enough asset to start something like that, you can decide to quit your job. But for me, the competition is so high. So grab any opportunity you can get. Have something as your backup and then move onto something new if that involves risks.

Having a decent job that pays a good compensation is already a blessing. That's why some have managed to keep their jobs even if the jobs  sometimes create big pressures on their personal lives. However, for those who have been working at a toxic environment, their only hope is to finally get out from their jobs and just find some other alternatives to make them survive and become profitable in their chosen career. That just proves that you are the only one responsible for your life's choices. If you stay with it, that means you have to suit yourself and find contentment whatever life's opportunities give you.
493  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Earning online more preferable than offline? on: May 22, 2023, 08:55:30 PM
Earning money online is far superior to working at a physical establishment during the day. Although offline is highly appreciated and difficult. Trading is a great approach to find your true self. It will put everything to the test, including your greed, emotions, patience, discipline, how you handle failure, control, common sense, and resolve. I strongly advise anyone who is going through a terrible time in their life to learn to trade since it provides them a clear sense of purpose other than waiting for jobs. So, which is better, online or offline?
I think we have reached the time when working offline is not giving us satisfying compensation anymore. And with the emergence of online trading and investing, a lot of people have start taking the risk, some have become successful, some have end up as epic failure. So trading is not really profitable all the time. That’s the reason why we still need to land a decent job offline and still try to make it work in trading knowing that it has also some great potentials to make us profitable when we’re lucky and skilled in our endeavor.
494  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin investment, fulltime endeavor or side hustle? on: May 22, 2023, 08:25:17 PM
after this encounter, I decided to bring this question too to the Bitcoin community itself so I would hear from other traders like myself. What is your opinion about this would you quit your job and go into Bitcoin investment, considering it as a full-time hustle?
Rich people don't settle in one source of income. They become rich because they have multiple business, multiple investments, and their own jobs. You don't need to settle and work full time on investments or trading if you can work your job fulltime and sideline, investments should be just side hustle.
True. They always seize opportunities that will make them richer in the process. So from the rich men perspective, if you can make them both work, keeping your job and receive good compensation, and working on your side hustle in your free time to make it profitable, then there’s no reason to focus on a single job or side hustle. If rich men are doing this, then much more to those who only live at a regular stratus who keep on wishing to improve their lives and be financially stable and independent.
495  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you spend more-do you get more? on: May 19, 2023, 07:10:21 PM
There is an opinion that the more money you spend, the more you get in return, it is interesting to find out who really works in this direction. I spend enough money, but I have a fixed income, therefore I will not be able to get more. I don't have rich relatives, and I don't expect an inheritance either. I want to get rich, not to deny myself, but I have to save on everything. Who really faced big expenses and received even more? How does it work, maybe I don't understand the essence of it correctly?

Topic is very subjective, IMO. Answers usually depends on the type of people and on what things do they spend their money to, the OP's phrase is not that new anymore because that means "if you will give more, you will receive more" in a good manner and practically, that means you will really spend more so that you will get more in return. But if your understanding towards the phrase is to spend in nonsense things just to receive more, then you're really in a wrong direction.
496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 19, 2023, 05:48:25 PM

If Davis could have hit that 3 in the corner or Lebron's layup, they could have a better chance. The only player that is consistent is Austin Reaves. So I will expect him to play in the next games with 20+ or more points. Schroeder so far has one of the worst game for the Lakers, he will just run circles and doesn't have the intention to score points as compare to the series against the Warriors wherein he is more aggressive driving and looking not to pass.

LeBron has really shown his age; he can no longer single-handedly carry this team, and he has to be cautious about being too aggressive when attacking the paint, as there is a higher risk of fatigue or potential injury. However, despite these challenges, the series is currently at 2-0, and it's not over yet. If the Lakers manage to win game 3, they still have a chance to turn things around and make a comeback.

Next game, the Lakers are back again on their homecourt where they are much stronger compared when they are on the road. While playing at home, statistics said that the Lakers are undefeated since from the play-in tournament up until the playoffs commenced. Not sure though if they can uphold that unstoppable victory at home because the Nuggets are just unpredictable too and they are very difficult to stop when their hands are already hot.

But, I also don't think that the Lakers will just agree with it easily without putting a good fight in their home. Having a 3-1 deficit is manageable and LeBron already proved that but if in-case it's a 3-0 in Game 3, that is a different situation and much difficult to handle.
497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: May 18, 2023, 07:19:20 PM
Meanwhile, here is Eddy Reynoso's say on KingRy. He might be welcomed again but he needs to follow Reynoso's rules and not his. But I have doubt that this will happen if Canelo will face an uphill battle next with the likes of Bivol.

Well, that confirms the story of Ryan's trainer, Joe Goosen, as he also said few weeks ago that Ryan Garcia was indeed a lazy type of boxer who doesn't do a lot of training to help him with his movements because he's so reliant on what he have right now, which is his left hook. I wonder why it took some couple of years for Eddy Reynoso to reveal this and make a statement because people have been thinking that he just got no time with Ryan because that's what the kid said but in reality, it's Garcia who does have a problem and not the people around him.

He's leaning with what he got and think that it's enough to win a fight, yes it gives him those previous wins but against a champ
that skills was being exposed and he suffered a lost.

If the kid will not try to enhance his skills and will continue to think that what he got now is enough, then we might see him suffer to another loss.

It's on him if he will take that challenge to change his mind set and start aiming for good enhancement of his skills, more on
footwork's and stamina.

I thought he already learned his lessons to be a much better boxer when Campbell exposed his weakness but I was wrong as from his trainers words, Ryan Garcia was not displaying any dedication to win a fight because he's not having intense preparations just like what a regular boxer does. It turns out that he was just overrated by the hype build by his team but when faced the Davis, everything has shattered into pieces which kind of explains why there was nobody on his side during the post-fight interview.
498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 18, 2023, 06:45:11 PM
Playoffs Jimmy Butler was at it again, and today it was against the Boston Celtics, the team that eliminated the Heat last, in the finals, so taking game one at the TD Garden is quite very advantageous to the Heat, If the Heat can defend their home court and get the 2 wins they'll play on home court, then that be theirs first step towards the regardless of what happens in the conference final, I definitely they'd stand more than a decent chance against either of them, if they can see off the Boston Celtics, but it's rather just too early to make any form of concrete assertions.

Cheat mode activated with playoff Butler, taking control in the 2nd half we witness how he really influenced his teammates. I like the
way he takes charge as he's finding the right plays, either taking a shot or passing the ball.

Though not just him but the whole squad, they are all bringing everything to win the game. Boston needs the right adjustments not to allow Jimmy
to take that control.

His passing skills are exceptional. I like Butler because he does not force the issue. In Game 1, we again witnessed the long pass from Kevin Love that led to an easy 2 points. There are a lot of things that the Celtics will have to keep in mind when they are playing the Heat, as they are very unpredictable. If they cannot attack inside, they will shoot outside, and their shooting percentage is quite high.

Quote
Too early to conclude these series, Boston still has the winning chance as we also know them in terms of good adjustments.

I agree with you because, until now, they are still the favorites to win. However, if they lose in Game 2, then I guess it might be over for them.

That's Jimmy Butler for you and this time, I reckon that their chances are much stronger compared to their run last season because the others are stepping up already plus there's Bam who is always ready to help Butler and defend the paint as well.

Celtics may be the favorite to win but that is because they finished and clinched on a much higher seed compared to Heat that just barely qualified in play-in. But in this instance, they are a live underdog that is not good to be underestimated. The Heat already scored their first win, that surely gave an effect to the Celtics mindset.
499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Online casino always take risks? on: May 17, 2023, 06:48:23 PM
Casinos are really making money that is why we are seeing new casinos being launch online and there numbers are increasing everyday. Influencers especially gambling ones are earning big from casinos because they are always inviting people to Casinos which is what is making many casinos keep having traffic. There are some bet that the house for have an edge over gamblers during winning that is why many of these casinos would never go bankrupt unless the team are misusing the casino funds anyhow.

No doubt, up to this point, there are dozens of new casinos that have been created because it is a booming business as long as it will be handled correctly. May it be land-based or online, there's no doubt that having a casino will really make any investor much richer in the following years as the only downfall of this kind of business is if there are no clients that are playing and gambling under their platform or establishment, other than that, it will be a flowing honey to their pockets as casinos are designed to have profits in every bets placed. It's a win-win for them as long as people will continue to play.
500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 17, 2023, 06:05:45 PM
I looked at betting on the Boston Celtics to beat the Miami Heat in game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, but I was deterred by the odds. While I’m somewhat confident the Celtics will win game 1 at home, the risk/reward factor just didn’t merit betting. So I don’t have any skin in the game on this one, but I am expecting the Celtics to win at home.

For starters, the Boston Celtics does have a good advantage on the first two games because they are playing on their home and when they are on their home, their likelihood to win is indeed huge as their performance will be heavily boosted by their own fans plus Tatum can be so dangerous at home. But I cannot also deny that the Miami Heat offers a different outcome in the first game as they are very unpredictable and quite surprising in any given game.

While for their odds, as of now, the Miami Heat are boasting a 3.80 money line while the favorites are at 1.30 which is the Celtics. I reckon that this is a good opportunity for the Miami believers and I won't doubt if they jump at it right away.

I'd prefer to watch and bet this game in live because in situations like this, watching it will help me to analyze which team is suitable to bet on especially now that the favorite doesn't have any good odds on their side, even if we give them a higher spread, profits doesn't sound reasonable at all and it is more risky doing that knowing that the Miami Heat mainly Jimmy Butler can easily flip the table in their favor.
