261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jerwin Ancajas vs Takuma Inoue - Nov 15 on: September 01, 2023, 02:02:22 PM
That is really the big issue with Jerwin when he lost the belt the first time, not sure though why they insists on a rematch since he can no longer make the weight class and obviously his body is getting bigger.

Maybe before, not confident enough to climb at 118 pounds when there were lots of strong contenders during that time.

Just my guess though why he decided to just stay at 115  and we know what happened later on. It's good for me to see him being defeated at the hands of Fernando Martinez, not once but twice, for him to recognize that they need to get out from that division he reigned for a long and consider stepping up another challenge on his career. Being a contender now at one of the belts at 118, I'm sure he won't have any weight problems now. Previously in his last fight in June, he weighed around 121 lbs during his fight against Wilner Soto which he got a knockout win.

We can assume that Ancajas' comfort weight now is between 118 to 122.

Team Ancajas were very confident about moving up in weight after the first defeat. They said they are moving up in weight. I don't know why the change of decisions. But it is indeed very tough to decide since they have a rematch clause on Fernando Martinez. So the final decision was to activate the rematch clause against Martinez and then move up in weight. Should Ancajas won in that rematch, he would've probably gotten ranked in the top 5 of these sanctioning bodies since he moved up in weight as a champion. He lost the rematch but he is lucky that 2 of the sanctioning bodies still ranked him in the top 10.

I really want to see something new in Ancajas' strategies this time, otherwise, Takuma Inoue will outbox him for the 12 rounds.

I'm also thinking the same, instead of the rematch, they should have make the move on going up to 118 when it was still one of the hottest weight class because of Naoya Inoue, but they chooses a rematch and so they lost again.

I'm thinking what will be the new strategy for Ancajas though, I mean he fell in love with his power. However, when it is not hitting the target or at least the target doesn't have any effect on his power, he doesn't have plan B. Will he go technical this time and try to outbox Takuma here but just moving around and try to counter at best?

My best guess is that he remained in that division because he had been a champion for quite a long time and became accustomed to the fact that he almost forgot that it's time for him to move up until he fought Martinez and lost twice, that became his eye opener that his time at super fly was already finished and it's time for him to move-on and try the next weight class, which is the 118.

Now that he is facing an Inoue, I think he have a good chance to upset the champion because of his experience that he attained overtime at 115.

Or maybe he doesn't want to move up, because there are a lot of Filipinos out there, Casimero (WBO champion), Nonito Donaire (WBC champion). And so he remains for a while at 115 lbs but as we have said, after his defeat it's time for him to move up.

And now that Donaire lost his championship fight and then Casimero moving up in weight, it's a good time for the former champion to go up at 118 lbs. And be lucky to have the first crack at the belt of Takuma Inoue.

Since you brought that up, I think that is indeed the case why Ancajas didn't move up much earlier because the division was already stacked up with Filipino boxer and so he doesn't want to add to the competition because he also represents the very same flag. There's no use in comparing because he also got some skills to show-off, it's just that he chose to remain at 115 so that there can be another Filipino champion and he really made it.

Now that both Casimero and Donaire is out of the equation (I ruled out Donaire because unfortunately, I don't think that he still have the time), it's his time to shine and to be the Filipino boxer to gets represent at 118 and I'd say that he might be a champion before this year ends.
262  Economy / Economics / Re: Is market manipulation a common occurrence everywhere? on: September 01, 2023, 06:16:15 AM
Everyone wields different powers when it comes to business. Some say that cryptocurrency prices can be manipulated by wealthy individuals. Despite being decentralized, it seems that price movements can be controlled by specific entities.

So, in your opinion, can everything related to money in this world be manipulated? For instance, do you believe that the value of the USD or the largest stock market in the US can be manipulated by a few individuals?

What kind of people are capable of market manipulation?
If you are talking about altcoins, know that they are mostly centralized so any group or entity can easily manipulate its price or value. Unlike bitcoin, it's completely decentralized so even the government has nothing to do with its current value or price. Just like no one can access bitcoin except the owner itself. However, in a centralized system, market manipulation is always present. Whatever the government wants, the government gets. Even private businesses can still be manipulated through its governed laws wherein business owners are obliged to follow.
263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lessons Taken from Previous Bull Markets: How Will Your Approach Change? on: August 31, 2023, 09:16:21 PM
What I can say about this is stop panicking whenever the price of bitcoins decreases so much in the time before bull runs because that's the traditional way before the bull runs start and you won't get any chance to buy again because, after that, the price will continue to rise until it reaches a new ATH. Whatever happens, just focus on your goal to achieve and ripe as much income as this upcoming bull run just be patient and persevere on everything.
It’s normal to see a bearish market and having price decline before bull run starts. That will give us opportunities to buy and hold potential projects so we can be in profits whenever we decide to sell during a bullish market. However, hodling is never easy as well. If you easily panic and decide to sell your coins before they fall into deep prices, note that you will never reach your goal of success. That is why stay away from panicking and always hold your coins no matter what. The market is highly volatile so its obvious that there will be bearish and bullish events in the market. If you see the prices are dropping, then stay chill and calm, that will eventually change once positive factors start to hit and affect the market. Be patient and never lost focus from your goal.

265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 31, 2023, 01:24:18 PM
Most probably yeah! Giannis already expressed that he wants to be on a team that could give him additional rings and he will not be staying with the Bucks if he couldn't win one anymore. So, the Warriors will be a perfect spot for him in his free agency. NBA fans are actually looking forward to this and the Bucks not gonna be the same anymore if Giannis leave, well not unless if they can make a significant improvement with the team next season.
Giannis Antetokounmpo is popular in NBA game after he leaded the Bucks to Championship finals wining and around the globe. He's popularly known as the Greek Freak in the game. Milwaukee Bucks should do everything within their reach to retained the top-notch player in the club, because it would be hugh loss if he moves out. Giannis only wants titles and winning rings would be the appropriate credits he deserved, furthermore the team should signed more important players that will aides in enhancing and strengthening the club interms of performance on the court.
Of course, the Bucks management will have to do everything in their power to retain the services of the Bucks. Giannis becoming the face of the franchise and even winning a NBA ring for them after a long drought.

But if he chooses to go and take another route, then they can't do anything about the Greek Freak. That's why this season is a must for the Bucks to at least go to the finals because this could be the last year of Giannis if I'm not mistaken, so whether he extends or signs a new contract? We will have to see then.

What more can they do? Despite awarding him a max contract, Giannis still remains unwilling to extend his tenure with the team. In my opinion, it's not solely about the money for Giannis at this point; rather, it's the opportunity to secure another championship. He aims to solidify his legacy in the NBA while he's still young. I believe that the offerings the Bucks can provide Giannis can also be matched by other teams he might consider joining. Given that Giannis is currently in his prime and virtually unstoppable, his desired benefits are attainable elsewhere.

While not the most vocal player, Giannis has now expressed his inclination to part ways with the Bucks for the first time. This suggests that his statement holds genuine weight.

We can already say that by how he responded to the interviewers way back last playoffs when they have been defeated against the Miami Heat, Giannis said some statement about the steps towards success and it's been clear that he was upset in the results because they are one of the early favorites to win the Finals but an unexpected happen which also became a reason for their loss. Anyway, bottom-line is, Giannis is not seeking the money right now because he know that it will always follow wherever he go because of his utility to the team, what he wanted is to be in a team who have the same aim as him.
266  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to join best bounty and earn money? on: August 31, 2023, 09:48:32 AM
Bounties are no longer profitable these days so I don’t suggest new members to participate in bounty hunting. Probably the one you saw in YouTube is just a heck of scammer that invites you to create an account and then he’ll  guide you along the way. If you really want to find out about bounties, then have your own research. Do not just easily believe on the people you met online as most of them are frustrated bounty hunters and end up scamming other people for their own financial benefits.
267  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HOW DO YOU MAKE MONEY WITH LESS MONEY? on: August 30, 2023, 09:38:17 PM
Maximize Risk-Taking:
Be careful of high leverage, they can end you and put you in debt even before you make any real profit from trading. They are attractive but also dangerous and should be avoided by every trader especially the inexperienced ones who are just new to trading. Risk is encouraged, but it should not be taken blindly when you as a trader know that you are not in a position to handle the dangers that come with taking risk.

Maximize your risk wisely.

Because leverage is a double-edged sword. As much as it can make you a lot of money, it can also erase your funds in an instant. Especially if you don't have the idea yet of computing lots sizes or position sizing. It's is true that the greater the risk the greater the reward. But too much taking risk just in one trae is just like gambling. It will only develop bad habits throughout your trading career instead of being a consistent one.
Well said mate. Using leverage will make us harm more nor do any good. If you know how to make it work and make some progress, then that would be good but using leverage is never advisable for inexperienced investors or traders as they might only fall on its trap and end up having more debt. It would be less risky if you have your own capital regardless if it’s just a small amount, because if you know how to make it double or triple by working on it, that will definitely lessen the risk from losing.
268  Economy / Economics / Re: I wonder if food prices in your country have also increased? on: August 30, 2023, 08:44:33 AM
I’ve been hearing a lot from different countries that foods and services prices have actually doubled, if not tripled. And probably, the rice price was never an exception. But I believe what happens in my country is worst, the rice price is really getting into my nerves. If you have no source of income, I don’t think you’ll be able to afford eating three times a day. And even if you have but at limited rate, you’ll still end up struggling trying to fit your income just to put food on the table.

This is another realization that saving is not enough, but we should gain additional source of income as well. It does not matter if it’s small, but it can still be a great help to buy our basic needs most particularly rice because for Filipinos, rice is life.
269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: As a gambler do you have a potential winning amount limit? on: August 29, 2023, 02:17:59 PM

You and I know gambling is not fate, yet most people think so

Daily wins will vary. I've been there. Having a target? Construction on sand is like building a skyscraper! Goals change. In gambling, it's a coin flip! Even if you're the best, you may fail again

The key to success is self-control. But it's more. It takes courage, commitment, and a killer instinct. Avoiding reliance is key. Too many good guys have gone that way, and it's not beautiful. Play smartly for excitement. You should rethink that strategy to succeed. Gambling is about the experience, not the result
You said it right. Daily wins will vary, and I agree with that. At least if they have a target of reaching the win limit, they need to adapt to the conditions and don't need to have a win target that is too high, especially if we have lost several times. That will make it difficult for us to get a victory or reach the victory limit we want because, on average those who try it will fail before they can get close to it.

And it is true that the key to success is self-control and knowing the current situation to decide wisely. We need to see how far our condition has gone while gambling for a while, and if we have lost a few times, maybe we need to stop for a while to de-stress so we can think about continuing to play or stopping gambling for the day.

Other than that, we need to have a broad mind to see what is the reality that we're currently facing because without that, we are just betting with the hopes to achieve the almost impossible target without knowing the possible consequences because we didn't weigh our factors correctly.

There's nothing wrong in setting a much higher target, what's wrong is that we don't know if it's still a reality to us or not. We should only achieve the ones we know that are possible so that we are not chasing the clouds and in the end got nothing but losses.
270  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: After all these years on: August 29, 2023, 09:12:26 AM
Each coin is created with a different purpose and a partnership between XRP or Chainlink with banks is not an achievement to be praised or boasted about. Because they completely go against the decentralization concepts that bitcoin has created for us and it is lame to compare bitcoin to those shitcoins.

The path for bitcoin to become a payment method is increasingly remote, but if only to achieve that goal must cooperate with banks or become centralized, I am completely against it. Personally, I never expected bitcoin to lose its decentralization.
I am also seeing the possibility that once bitcoin will be globally accepted as a mode of payment, which means having partnership with banks and other centralized financial institutions, then we will no longer see bitcoin as completely decentralized crypto but maybe less decentralized by then. When that happens, I’m sure a lot of us will feel bad for it and expect that privacy and anonymity will be put at risk.
271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I will pass KYC later is a bad idea on: August 29, 2023, 06:55:48 AM
I don't know where some gamblers are getting their confidence from, do you know that online casinos can keep rejecting your ID after you made some high amount of money?

You have almost completely described my situation.

Being a beginner, I came to play in one of the Russian poker rooms. It was called Poker. I didn't even think that I could win anything, so I didn't go through the KYC as soon as I entered my first deposit. And I do not know how it happened, but I took second place in one of the tournaments, winning 94 dollars!
Of course, I immediately decided to withdraw them, but then I was waiting for a trick from the casino, which I did not expect: the casino began to reject my documents, citing their poor quality or insufficient information.
And I still haven't withdraw those money.

Therefore, I advise everyone to think about the passage of the KYC immediately at the casino.

If you're just looking for fun while only gambling a few of your funds then not having through KYC is a good move because those money which I bet are the ones you can just afford to lose in-exchange of the fun and entertainment you're having and if you win big, I think that is where the problem would exist and that is why you should only gamble less in-exchange for small winnings so that you can just skate your own way without them detecting you.
272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 28, 2023, 03:56:51 PM
@bisdak40 - I don't think that Tank Davis can go down to 130 lbs just to get Inoue. Remember he put a rehydration clause to Ryan Garcia. So he knows what rehydration could do to a fighter so no way he will do that -5 lbs to his frame.

That's quite a risk for him. He is already enjoying his popularity, even more so than Inoue, despite Inoue having a higher ranking among pound-for-pound fighters. It's possible he might choose to wait until Inoue continues moving up in weight, especially considering his undefeated record is on the line.

I believe he wouldn't be inclined to fight in a weight class or a catch weight that would hinder his usual fighting style. For fighters like Tank, the combination of power and speed is a key strength, and the same principle holds true for Inoue, of course.

U're absolutely right. The decision for a fighter like Tank Davis to move up in weight or engage in a high-stakes fight involves careful consiideration of various factors. Maintaining an undefeated record is often a point of pride and a marketing asset for fighters, and they may be cautious about risking it in a matchup that could potentially disrupt their current trajectory.

Weight class changes can impact a fighter's style and performances, so choosing the right weight class or catch weight is crucial. It's also important to consider the strategic advantages and disadvantages of facing different opponents. Both Tank Davis and Inoue possess distinct fighting strengths, and any potential match between them would undoubtedly generate significant attention due to their popularity and skills.

Ultimately, these decisions often came down to a combination of factors including financial incentives, legacy-building, risk assessment, and personal ambition. It's a dynamic landscape in the world of boxing, and fans eagerly await the choices fighters make as they progress in their careers.

In due time, I believe it will happen but for the meantime, it's understandable that both named boxers are going on a separate way because they are on a different weight class. Also, we've known Tank Davis, he is not the kind of boxer who is welcome to accept the fact that he might not be on the upper hand, including his camp and Al Haymon.

They will do everything in their power to secure a fight that will give them advantages and not the opposite, that is why it's kind of impossible that a fight between Inoue and Tank will happen at 130 lbs or even a catchweight lower than 135. You see, even at 135, they are still doing some ridiculous clauses like his recent fight against Garcia.
273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: August 28, 2023, 02:03:32 PM
This is good because Casimero is having another fight again before this year ends but I'm quite disappointed because Casimero pursued a nameless boxer instead of pursuing the likes of Luis Nery to make his credentials believable and so that his ranking in WBC will also improve.

Fighting Luis Nery could've made him to secure the spot for being the challenger of the Tapales vs Inoue winner, considering that John Riel Casimero successfully upsets Nery.

Anyway, I looked up Yukinori Oguni of Japan and he seems to have the height and reach advantage but that's all I can say because regardless of what the Japanese have, I have no doubts that Casimero will defeat him. Oguni ain't even a KO boxer.
274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I think we need to start asking people if...... on: August 28, 2023, 09:30:08 AM
This is an eye opener to everyone that not all people badly needed cash, as some are still eager to accept bitcoin or any crypto payment more than cash or fiat. That’s how technology has affected them, and yet we still limit our minds into fiat thinking that it’s the only answer to solve poverty and unemployment. Now, hopefully whenever we ask some people to do some home services, at least we should learn to ask first what type of payment they wish to receive. Or better yet, suggest bitcoin because it’s one way of promoting bitcoin especially to those who fail to recognize it or think that it has still no value up to these days.
275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling experience using loan money on: August 25, 2023, 03:40:11 PM
there should be a higher adrenaline rush if using borrowed money. I know it's not recommended, because it will definitely be difficult for us to pay off the debt plus the interest. but some people must have tried extreme things. I have friends like that. Well, it was profitable at first, but when they lost, they had to endure how to pay off debts and how to support themselves.

And the ones who borrow money are extremely cautious in their betting otherwise a high consequence awaits. They will need to be very careful with how they bet and will find it necessary to win. I guess that is the secret to striving harder  Grin

The accounts that took a loan and never returned with the money are examples of what happened to those who were testing their adrenaline. But it must be satisfying to win a big amount while it comes from nothing.

You will be indeed cautious because that's just a borrowed funds, it's not something you can just afford to lose as their are more stakes to it compared to the gamblers who are gambling with their excess funds that they can afford to lose. A failure will just result to a much bigger problem that you might not want yourself into but since you've already borrowed, might as well pick only the specific games where you have more chances to win compared to the opposite.
276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: August 25, 2023, 02:09:03 PM

Seem a bit of a fair match though. Mike is older but boxing is his playground while Fedor is younger but he is fighting in a boxing ring. This fight will be a good undercard for Francis vs Fury as it will also make a huge crowd in the arena. The promotion will be glad to welcome them.
Why on earth they need to fight, Fedor Emelianenko just needs to retire for good and never return to fight as he was knocked out left and right by non strikers after returning to MMA and why anyone would think this will be a good match up against Mike Tyson.
It's not even confirmed that it will happen and so there is no reason for you to be stressed out Cheesy But if you want reasons, you might not want to see it but I'm sure that there are some people out there that is interested to see this specially because of the fact that the legend, Mike Tyson, is involved with it.

Ngannou vs Fury hype had slowed down to which it really going to need help. What they will need is more UFC fighters crossing to make a lot of people interested in the result.
Was there a hype from the real fight fans, i really do not think so, anyone who watches any combat sport knows that if Francis Ngannou is able to land a single punch against Tyson Fury, it will be considered as a win  Cheesy. My interest in this fight is to see in which round Francis Ngannou gasses out trying to punch the air  Cheesy.
I guess there is because they are even considering to put Mike Tyson and Fedor in the undercard to secure a good event that will give them competitive profits at the end of the day. Again, you might just want to sit this out mate.
277  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be careful with your identity documents and KYC on: August 24, 2023, 09:29:15 PM
Damn, this is sad. I mean imagine you are scamming people online and then you get a case against you from Binance and you never did any transaction nor you have an account which got that money deposited. Binance surely needs to look into this if it's happening a lot. I mean, they need to make the P2P requirements much better and secure for others. And payments should only be allowed from pre-approved payment methods.
This is really unfortunate on the part of victims. They lose their money without knowing that they have deposited in an exchange and Binance is totally not aware of it. So maybe it’s a lesson that one should be cautious when and where to give his KYC that links to his account. Sometimes, scammers are not just outsiders from an exchange, but some scammers are actually doing inside job. Well that’s even more pathetic.

A lot of people are making so much hue and cry about Saudis purchasing star players for 3x or 5x their fair price. But we need to remember that it was European clubs such as Liverpool, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain which started this trend. Now they are getting a taste of their own medicine and all of a sudden they are complaining. There seems to be one rule for the Europeans and another for the non-Europeans. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar once said: "Europe has to grow out of the mindset that Europe’s problems are the world’s problems".

I think that's a fair statement.

The main difference probably is that the European leagues have been established for a long time already, and are full of talented players. It makes sense to have high offers there because it is really competitive.

On the other hand, in Saudi Arabia, and other similar places, the quality of the current players is nowhere near the European leagues. It's only money, so that's why it doesn't make sense, at the moment at least. Maybe in 10 years the Saudi League will become the most prestigious one. Who knows.

If they will keep up on what they can offer which is really going to last long because they are a rich country, there's no wonder that there will be some new additional to their league soon as that can indeed enticed successful players but aside from that, they also need to culture one of their own as that will be their pride instead of always having foreign players to come and play for them.

Going to a much bigger picture, I have no doubts that Saudi League will be a prestigious one in the next decade because they are already doing a good job these days and with money, they can always have what they want even if they will be rejected in some days.
279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 24, 2023, 02:29:59 PM
They may try load management just like what the Clippers is doing with Kawhi, but again there's no escaping injuries once it hit you.
New Orleans fans are getting restless, he needs to be better this season.
The best thing to do if they want to limit the possibility of Zion getting injured again is to take that load management thing. If the Raptors were successful with the load management they applied to Leonard, I see no reason why the Pelicans wouldn't be able to do the same. The good thing about the Pelicans is that even without Zion, they can still make the playoffs. This is a relief, as they can choose to let Zion focus on the playoffs.

However, fans might not like this load management approach, as they come to see their favorite players on the court. Zion is the team's best player, so it might disappoint some fans. Nevertheless, business is business, and the team needs to focus on what's best for the overall team.

That's the downside, as fans often complain about load management. Some buy tickets well in advance, yet they might not know if a specific player will participate due to announcements being made as little as 24 hours before the game or even at game time. However, if we are following NBA, we would know that it exist, so as long as the NBA doesn't implement rules regarding this, teams are within their rights to utilize load management to safeguard the health of their players, particularly those prone to injury.

I think the problem is that players have gotten so much bigger and stronger over the years that injuries are just more likely. The obvious solution would be to have less games but that would mean less money and a nightmare for career stats. That’s why I understand load management. Players like Kobe or LeBron who are going for their legacy will always be out there if they can.

I guess that's part of it because before entering into the league, these players surely know what they are up to and there's no guarantee that they can play as many seasons as they like because there will be some factors along the road that will somehow prevent these players to finish strong. Load management is a good thing but I don't see any ways right now to help the players more but to take care of their health themselves so that they can somehow prevent an injury. Having less games means less business, that's why I don't think that it will happen.
