I don't really understand why there's this people who wanted to see a player who will always fits their visions, if it doesn't fit, they will say that he is overrated. We should not forget that players have their own respective strengths and weaknesses and that is why they are given that specific role. For Ja Morant, he is still young and we will see a lot more improvements on his side in the coming seasons. It's already a good thing that he can carry his team on his own way he is, at his age, it's not an easy feat to do. I think we should praise him rather than discrediting him on what he did, he deserved it, really.
Damn right. This is the same with the Ben Simmons case. He can't shoot, so why force it. Somehow, he will learn it on his way to being a star because he will need it to stretch the options of plays he can make as a point forward. If he can do a hesitation move acting like he was shooting, then he will be more terrifying as a ball handler.
Ja Morant on the other hand is already trying. He is shooting threes but his form is not yet perfect. Well, Steph's form is also not a good one because a good defender could easily block it if not for his quick release. Training is the key.

Exactly, I don't know why they are too eager to see these new players (stars in the future) to fit their standards, it's just like forcing to see Steph Curry dunking every single time that he'll attack the paint. Just let them be and you will be amazed on what they can do to help the team in every game. There's still a room for some improvements especially that they are still young. Just like you've said mate, training is the key.

Final score: 134-105 in favor of Phoenix Suns, it was a 29 point play and the Suns have won all 4 quarters without giving the Warriors a chance to have their own turn. Klay Thompson was ejected on the game after playing less than 20 minutes because of their heated conversation with Devin Booker.

What happened to the Warriors? they lost to the Suns by this big margin. I can't believe it, looks like the Warriors are not in synch, and they are shooting a very low percentage in the 3-point area which was supposed to be their strength, 10-35 from 3 point area, can't believe it.

They had some slight difficulties against the Suns that is why they lost with a big margin but that is okay because every team in the league now is just heating themselves to get their actual play. It was just a bad night but there's no big deal because even if they are the defending champion, they are still vulnerable to mistakes. Eventually they will regain their strengths and I know they will because they always do.
943  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bad advice can still be gotten from forum. on: October 25, 2022, 08:38:12 PM
You OP could assess if that advice is good or bad. But in this forum, you can expect those things and it was you to sort it up. Ignoring is the best thing to do as we can't stop seeing those things knowing that the forum accepts all opinions from different people. Sometimes I receive PM from some members and I don't spend time replying to them unless it is necessary. So, if you think it was not good, don't bother yourself to deal with it but rather go straight to what you expect from others, maybe somebody could fill some satisfying advice.
There are really negative advices coming from some members but it’s only rare to find them since most of the advices are still helpful and useful so you only have to sort things out which way you’ll benefit the most. While others fall on bad ones, we can expect that this forum filter most of the advices so that we still end up following those advices that will greatly help us in shaping up our investments.

That's the deterrent for most of these stars including him, having an injury. We saw it happen in many of them and how they're able to get back hard after their recovery. These two got no superstars but doing great jobs on their respective teams.
Ja morant is a good player I am not against that, but people are overreacting on his good moves, and yes he is scoring a lot of points and he is playing well but that's a game that could be locked down easily with some good defense, a bit of zone on inside, some one step behind defending and you could lock him down on playoff games.

He needs to learn how to shoot threes a lot better to be a danger, nobody can defend Lebron like that, because even though he is a freight train when he wants to go in, and even at his age he dunks over people, he could also still kill you inside if he leave him open. Ja doesn't have that yet, and he needs to improve it asap if he wants to be a superstar.
I am not overreacting to him, he made 49 points in that game and that should be it. How often do we see players make that much score when they're not in a superteam unlike the other teams in the NBA? The boy is improving his threes and if it keeps on happening like that, for sure that there's something that will change the fate of his team. Well, we can say about such defense and offense in terms of words but when you're inside in the actual words, things will change and escalate quickly.

I don't really understand why there's this people who wanted to see a player who will always fits their visions, if it doesn't fit, they will say that he is overrated. We should not forget that players have their own respective strengths and weaknesses and that is why they are given that specific role. 945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: October 24, 2022, 03:34:14 PM
Browsing Akaho's boxing records I found out that Akaho had beaten 5 Filipino via KO including his latest fight against Edrin Dapudong.  This Japanese boxer sounds like a Pinoy executioner, so it is quite interesting to see whether Casimero can break this streak of Akaho beating Filipino boxers.

The fight won't be easy for the both fight,  the two men are strong fighters. The issue akaho has  is age, I don't know if age will a bareer for him not to be able to fight this fight.  Casimero is another rough fighter that I know he can challenge Akaho in this fight. I would like to see casimero how he will fight this match .

There isn't much of an age gap here since Casimero is only 3 years old younger than Akaho, I also think that Akaho, at 36, is still at his prime since his latest 2 fights which happened this year gave him a win 1 UD, and the latest, against a Filipino boxer, a KO win.

Casimero has no room for losing this match. If he loses here, I think it's better to just retire or people should not expect to him anymore.

Casimero is still too young for retirement, though I agree that Casimero has no room for a loss in this match, or else he will be another piece to the Akaho Collection of beaten Filipino boxers.

Seeing Akaho's history, he is like a local Japanese boxing IMO who also fought in the world boxing industry way back 2015 but returned locally after he was defeated by a way of KO in just 2 rounds by a Thai boxer in his first WBO belt defense. Since that day, Akaho returned under Japan Boxing Commission (JBC) where he recently defeated a Filipino boxer, Dapudong, by a KO in just 1 round.

I see why he was chosen to be Casimero's opponent in his debut in 122 pounds, this is a test to see if Casimero still have what it takes to defeat the regular boxers in this division and maybe to end Akaho's streak in defeating his fellow Filipino boxers. Either way, Casimero needs to end this fight by a KO or TKO because it won't get him hyped if he'll just barely defeat Akaho in full 12 rounds.
946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 24, 2022, 02:46:25 PM
Bantamweight is the division where he is dominating, and if he will win his next fight and will try to move up, that's the time we will see if Inoue can still carry his power and speed in a higher division. He is very popular now because of his high KO rate, but there's a huge challenge waiting for him, and as a fan, that makes us excited to find out if he can still succeed.

Yes mate there many big fights waiting for him in the higher division in the world of boxing but I think if inoue want to fight in higher weight then the chances of winning are getting smaller. As we all know that in the higher division, strength and power are bases to win the fight. but if even inoue rise his weight and the power and speed are there for him then he can win because the more his speed getting quicklier the more chance he win.

Interesting big fights are waiting for him in the super-bantamweight division, it will be a challenge for him for sure because the champions in that division are also talented and skillful enough to give Inoue some hardships, but we will see that soon enough if he will declare his climb after this undisputed fight. But I think his chances aren't that much affected because it's just a 4 pounds difference from the bantamweight, he can still bring his speed and talent in that division. Anyway, as I said, we will see it soon.
947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: October 24, 2022, 02:26:42 PM
My pick for tonight.

Golden State Warriors(-2,5) vs Sacramento Kings = First Quarter 1,80 odds

I think it will be easy game for Golden State. Sacramento can't win this game.

Good luck.

Nice pick! Warriors won by 3 points only in the 1st quarter, so you hit it right bro!

1st quarter pick is really hard IMO, but I'm seeing your successful with your pick.
Warriors failed to cover the full game but did cover the 1st quarter.

Not an easy bet to be made because you gamble only on the 1st quarter where most of the players of each respective teams are still warming up and not that hot enough to give huge points for the team. It literally needs courage to bet on that kind of option, anyway, congrats MK-74. Close 1st quarter game because the Warriors is just 3 points away.
948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 21, 2022, 02:20:55 PM
It's not a good sight to see only 3 players in the Lakers have double digits in points. Their critics will probably dissect this game.

But the center of the criticism will be on Westbrook. I'm so disappointed with his performance, it looks like he is also not happy with his teammates, you can tell by looking at his production, that's not the same Westbrook we saw years ago. Back then, he also played with superstars like Durant and Harden, but Westbrook does really excel unlike now that he cause the struggle of this team.

He was always the center of criticism even before this game. Critics will always compare the amount of contract he has and the production he produces for the Lakers, actually, his production is very low compared to the expectation of the team. Westbrook is suppose to be one of the leaders of this team, they got him to build a big 3 only two are functioning well, so they'll still gonna fail on their championship aim.
949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 21, 2022, 01:53:32 PM
Though it needed for him to complete the chase and hold all the belts from his current division, which is no longer far to happen,
after this fight against Butler, there's nothing more for him.
I'm not anymore thinking of this fight because I know that Inoue will just dominate Butler here.
Not the fight that we wanted to see, but here it is, Inoue's path in becoming an undisputed champion is gonna be easy,  no disrespect to Butler but that's how I see it and probably most of us.

Deciding to move up will also increase his potential benefits. What more if he will beat the champ and collect more belts
under his name.

More money to come for him as mega fights will be created if he will challenge the champions.

Exactly mate as we all know that inoue nowadays in his prime he is unbeatable not because of his technique but all in his speed and power prove that he is a monster in the world of boxing. Butler now is okay and good for me but when he fight against inoue I don't think so if he can knock down the monster and win the fight, maybe in unanimous decision he has a chance but for now I'll go for inoue as he has already prove that in the bantamweight division he is the king.

My pick for tonight.

Los Angeles Lakers vs Los Angeles Clippers(-1,5) = First Quarter 1,86 odds

That's my bet tonight. I think Los Angeles Clippers will start well in the first quarter.

I can't say anything for Philadelphia vs Milwaukee, I'm not going to bet on these teams tonight.

Good luck guys.

Nice win, 1st quarter win was too easy as clippers started strong. Great job mate, if you have another pick/s for tomorrow, please post it early, hehe.. Plenty of games tomorrow, I think the most attractive bet for me is the Warriors -5. What do you think guys? is it a trap or not?
951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: October 21, 2022, 11:54:54 AM

SMB Beermen vs Converge at the moment and the Beermen is trying to catch up the lead of Converge, 57-70 is the score in favor of Converge. Looks like this game is in the bag for the Fiberxers.

SMB even led in the 4th quarter but they still could not win against the converge. What happened to the SMB, they used to be a good team, do they really miss JMF that hard? Bad bet for those who think SMB will win, close game but SMB still lose.
952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 20, 2022, 01:45:00 PM
I think that Damion Lee was the secret hero of the Suns - Mavericks game despite having only 11 points. Because he played a big role in the win by his contributions to his team in the last moments. He scored important points and his defending Luka Doncic in the last seconds was also important.

As for Luka Doncic I think that he was the most performed player of the game (35 pts, 9 reb and 6 ast). If he was able to score the buzzer-beater in the last seconds it was going to be enough for the win. But the shot fell short there I'm afraid. Mavericks nearly doubled the number of 3-pointers Suns had in this game but Suns still managed to get the win by 107-105. Booker's performance (28 pts, 4 reb, 9 ast) had a big impact on this victory of course.

Luka is one of the best players in the NBA, I think his performance throughout the game was quite good. He scored 35 points and had 9 rebounds, a game-winning performance alone.
But I think he couldn't use the last ball correctly. With only 5 seconds left, they could have played an inward game rather than opting for a fairly far shot, or he could have tried a closer 3-pointer. He trusted himself, but as a result of this trust, they could not win the match

Or they should make a time out to make the right execution, Luka's 3-point shooting is very accurate, that's why he opted for that 3-point shot that settles for 2 points to tie the game. But looking at that shoot, it's not a high percentage shot that's why we criticize him, but it's just one game, they'll bounce back for sure.

The game is over, if they want to make an adjustment, they should do it next time. I thought that Dallas would really win the game because CP3 wasn't even contributing a decent number in that game, but the teamwork of the Suns did kill the momentum of the Dallas as they were a more aggressive in the 4th quarter.

Yes, I understand, it's just that I want to express my opinion regarding the decision he made in that game. I'm not sure if they still have a timeout but if they still have, I think he should trust the coaching staff to design a better play for the team, and not take the game into his own hands.

Quote
Lee was the Hero in that game, he deserve to be the best player.

He was, and he owe that to the Warriors as he won a championship and the kind of training the Warriors have are very effective because they make their players better.

I will tail you Memphis -2.5 against Knicks. Gonna be close but I guess Memphis wanted to start at least winning so I have them with that handicap.

Great win man, that was very close, you won by 0.5 points only,  Smiley

Me, I had a bad day, I only had one bet and it was on the Suns, I thought they'll already lose when they are down over 20+ but when they come back I was a bit optimistic that they would cover the spread as they lead by 5 points in the 4th quarter, but they still fall short anyway.
955  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Too risky to leave BTC right now on: October 19, 2022, 08:23:17 PM
It's way too risky to be out of bitcoin right now
It is also risky and will be regrettable if we don't take advantage of this dip in price of bitcoin right now. It is also risky to want to buy bitcoins now and not have an updated knowledge about how to buy profitably. It will be risky also to get scared and bail out on bitcoins now because it may not look promising for the shortsighted. Likewise it is risky to keep holding bitcoins. Bottom line is choose your risk wisely.
Everything is risky as it is so always take the risk one step at a time. If you think this is the right timing to start buying bitcoin and invest for long term, then go for it. After all, the best time to accumulate is when the bear market is happening. And selling can only be done when you will sell at a profit. And that will eventually happen once the market turns bullish, where most of the coins have positive proves.
956  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Threat lies in every corner while investing in crypto (a must read for newbies) on: October 18, 2022, 03:03:30 PM
We have already talked about this many times, but it is not bad to repeat.
Not only crypto, but every investment, forex, stock market... are high-risk and before every investment you should analyze the market well, assess the risks, make an investment plan in accordance with your financial capabilities and have a clear exit strategy.
Beautiful websites with interesting figures and promises will always attract someone, but first you should always check all the facts and have a clear idea of what you are investing in.
At the same time, it is always good to diversify investments, not only in crypto projects but in various asset classes, in order to reduce investment risk.
In all types of investments, not only for crypto, the risks will always be there. The reason why we should never invest with an empty knowledge because that will push us to create stupid decisions that we will regret later on. Instead, acquire first hand knowledge and develop your skills first before engaging into crypto investments, that way the risks of losing will be lessen. Also, we should need more patience particularly for newbies as they find it hard to invest with the best entry and sell them in the wrong timing.
957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 14, 2022, 03:45:53 PM
This time it's against Paul Butler, it's no use thinking that he will win because that won't happen even if Inoue is feeling bad or ill in the day of their fight. I know Inoue is not that kind of boxer who underestimates his foe but it's too clear that Butler won't stand a chance especially if we are talking about withstanding punches, he can't survive that.

The level of confidence from the fans of Inoue is very high, well, we cannot blame the fans because Butler won't be a champion if Casimero was not stripped with his belt, so now, he is getting all the kind of underestimation, and hopefully he will see that as a challenge and will try to prove that we are wrong.

I share the same sentiment because I believe it would be Casimero fighting for the undisputed title if he didn't fail to meet the required weight and all those scandal that he was in that is why he was stripped by his belt. In terms of power, my money is for Casimero if he were to fight Butler, no doubt. That is why I strongly believe that Butler cannot prove us wrong because his skills are just too unfortunate if we will compare with Inoue as he can't really keep up with Inoue's power.

Oh well, as much as we wanted to see Casimero vs Inoue as the next best fight if not the best fight in this division, it won't be happening. We've seen how Casimero issues really caught up with him and so the fight is off already and it will be Butler chance to crack the puzzle of Inoue. But we all doubt it, chances are slim. But if it is Casimero then maybe the odds are not going to be like that. maybe Casimero will be an underdog like 4x-6x as compare to Butler's 12x. But then again, we can't say that Casimero vs Inoue will not face each other in the future. Maybe we have hopes that in the next division, they will have to fight for the belt, so the wait will continue for us boxing fans.

That might be the next possible scenario that they will face in the super-bantamweight and be each other's foe in their debut. Although there are some doubts on Casimero because his strength and speed might not be the same while Inoue, no doubt, he will possibly maintain his skillset. Hopefully they will so that we can see it.
958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anderson Silva vs Jake paul who you bet on? on: October 14, 2022, 01:20:13 PM
I thought that Anderson Silva was going to be an underdog in this fight due to the age gap, but I must admit that after seeing recent footage of Mike Tyson at 57 absolutely destroying his trainer, I think Silva at 47 might be able to put Jake away.  Seeing how reserved he is, I may have mistaken that kindness for weakness, but I think I see now that this will be a better fight then I was expecting.  I also think Silva is probably the heaviest and longest fighter that Jake has faced.  Jake still has a weight advantage to go along with his youth, but Silva is going to land some punches on him due to the reach where Woodley couldn't.
Silva has always been a gentleman outside the cage, and very softly spoken. I suppose when you're used to every other fighter bigging themselves up, it can come across weak with someone like Silva. Although, he's anything but that.

Woodley freezes a lot, it was a problem in the UFC too, and not exclusive to his fight with Jake. There was times in that fight that if Woodley just threw some volume, he'd be asking questions of Jake. It just never happened. I've been saying it all along now, but I genuinely feel like we'll be walking away from this fight either thinking Jake cherry picked his opponents, and never really had a future in boxing or we'll see him as a real fighter. I genuinely believe he's the latter, he just needs the right opponent to showcase his defensive skills as well as his offensive skills, which we've seen he most definitely has.

i have the feeling that if silva would really be serious with his training here, he can easily beat jake paul. jake paul needs a lesson from a previous professional boxer. though i do like what he's calling for about the fair wage of UFC fighters and all. the reason why he had beef with dana white. but he's been getting good payout with his exhibition fights more than what most professional boxers are getting right now.

Mainly because Jake Paul are facing huge veteran names across other combat sports that is why his exhibition fights are pays off more than what most professional boxer nowadays, but Jake Paul doesn't have the authenticity like the professional boxer does because he is not climbing any ranks as he didn't had true fights with active pro boxers in the league and that is what he lacks. I still think this will be an enjoyable fight knowing how entertaining Silva is.
959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 13, 2022, 05:37:02 PM
I hope he quick recovery back and goes to the exhibition fight as the planing. I heard Tyson Fury was also interested to meet him but the problem is the age between them is too far. if happens, seems like an unfair fight, and Mike possibly lost in 1st round. Many observers say he doesn't need to continue fighting and is better to continue to explore as a Hollywood actor.
It's better that he'll just focus on regaining his health rather than thinking of that exhibition match that he can just pass on to other interesting fights.
He just can pass on it and don't have to think of it anymore because that will affect his mental health and could also affect his recovery period. No need to think of anything else aside from healing at the moment. He's now in his golden age and even though he might say that he's still good and can have a fight after recovering, it's better to have himself on set and do something else.

Iron Mike needs to take care of his health and focus on how he can recover from this health issue,
no need to think about any possible exhibitions fight it won't help.

If he can gain back his health condition, instead of any exhibition fight, it's better to take chances with
acting career if there's any potential offers.

For now, I'm looking to hear great news about his fast recoveries and a normal healthy lifestyle. More on
personal help and not to overthink of his comeback inside the ring.

Yes, seriously that is what he needs for now so that he will recover in no time. Thinking of his comeback in the ring makes everything worse and he cannot do anything about it because his body needs some more rests more than any fight as well as the money he could get because he is not young anymore. Safety and health should be his utmost priority if he wants to enjoy more time here in this world.
960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: October 13, 2022, 05:09:08 PM
Even 168 seems to be few for Dmitry. He is a big guy by nature. I just cant imagine him being 168. Dmitry seems to be +85kg in off season and 79.4 (or 175lbs) on the scales. Dropping almost 10kg just to have a rematch? It is Canelo, who needs to gain weight and fight in 175, to rebuild reputation. Canelo needs to beat Dmitry "on Dmitry's field", to gain confidence and respect back. What is the point for Dmitry to cut, when it was Canelo who wanted to test himself in light heavyweight.
Yes, I think if there will be a rematch between Dmitry and Saul Alvarez it will be 175 lbs. Alvarez can definitely made 175 lbs easy, but Bivol will have problems making that weight.

And if I'm not mistaken, the first fight is 175 lbs so not sure why they need to change in the rematch unless Alvarez wants to take advantage of making Bivol life very difficult because he will have to squeeze his body to super middleweight.

And Canelo might be left hanging if he will suddenly decide to contest the fight at 168 lbs. because Bivol won't surely agree with that as in the first place, Canelo lost in 175 so it's expected to contest the rematch at the same weight. I'm not sure what is in their contract but I think Bivol has a right to deny a rematch if Canelo will active the rematch in super-middle.
