Now, what will NEXT 2.0 have that can compete?

Looking at purchasing roughly 70k NXT tokens and I just setup my 1GHs ETransactions farm to mine to a ShapeShift wallet that auto converts ETH to NXT to reach my goal of 10Contractoins.

This project solves all the problems I feel ETH and other platforms have and adds functionality on top....The fact that Barclays is holding out to see what the Smart Contract/Blockchain world has to offer, makes me think that they don't think that ETH is the be all end all. They mention that competition is a good thing, and this definitely proves that to me. I can see major companies adopting the NXT 2.0 system and I want to be a part of that...

I can't wait to see what the next few months have it store...
All we can say for sure right now is that the Nxt Foundation is in talks with dutch banks. But possible that banks like Barclay will watch out for Nxt's Smart Transactions as an easier and more secure way of using distributed ledger tech than Ethereum's Smart Contracts.

People who hold their NXT in active sell orders will consider legal action, if they dont get their ARDR tokens.

As per Richie Lai (Bittrex), regarding distribution of ARDR: "We are waiting for NXT to provide us with the MECHANICALS to proceed with the distribution..."

So, what's up devs? Distribution of ARDR, just like in the wallets, should have already been occurring in the exchanges. I figure a lawsuit would be in order, of course. At Bittrex alone, there are more than 8 million NXT in hundreds of accounts.

The distribution doesn't happen until Oct, so there's still plenty of time for the Devs to work this out. The ARDR in wallets is just an estimation of what to expect when distribution finally happens and is easier to apply the distribution model to than exchanges where there are many moving parts that need to be considered.

Granted it is a bit more complex but the MECHANICALS should have been distributed already and everyone should be having the same estimations that in the regular wallets... because, you DO know they are just regular wallets at the exchanges, right? I don't see how the little bit of more complexity in the distribution and estimations is a problem. The SNAPSHOTS are happening on those wallets (or the main wallet at least) just like in the rest of the wallets, so it is not a very complex problem to provide that by-the-hour- estimation to everyone holding NXT wherever they are holding it.

Next dump to 180k level... panic not yet setting in. When total panic sets in and the BIG DUMP happens, it will get to the 30Ks level.

Textbook.

That's bravery, right there...
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: August 08, 2016, 08:05:37 AM
I believe this project is doomed to fail completely and very quickly. The Ethereum project flourished even when it was only a very a very "ethereal" idea, so to speak, on the basis of Vitalik Buterin and his team of developers. People were not investing in a crypto currency but in a tech project with -theoretically- the best minds in the business attached to it.

It doesn't really make any difference that they hard forked to punish the thieves. ETH will survive -and possibly thrive- while the "purists" at ETC will hit the ground of reality in a very quick manner. It isn't a matter of "personality cult" but of the highest minds involved in the project. That hasn't changed, fork or no fork. ETC, on the other hand, is just a blockchain, nothing else.

Sorry to bust the bubble some have adhere to, but reality is reality.

As I'm understand that ARDOR could be traded soon after 12th Oct , how about the value? will be same price with NXT? or it's have starting price?

The starting price will be what the first seller and buyer agree to trade it for. There is no official starting price.

Will there be no market makers to start trading it? I think there should be because we cannot rely on the people. It might be a discouraging sight if there will be not enough volume for Ardor in the exchanges and it would look dead to the people outside this community.

It should be immediately available to trade on the Nxt Asset Exchange on October 12 hardfork. Everyone will be a market maker and can put the sell order for whichever price they believe it is worth. The free market will discover the right price very quickly as it always does. Centralized exchanges will list it too. We absolutely can and must rely on the free market, this is crypto.

As Ardor is, in fact, NXT 2.0, I believe after Oct. 10 or 12, whichever the precise date, will take as value whatever the price of NXT is at the time while the price of NXT will plummet to whatever value the market gives to 0.5:1 of FNX.

That said, I believe the value of Ardor -and NXT before Oct 10-12-, will get to close or above 10k sat.
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: August 07, 2016, 08:18:05 AM
Question: What will be the relevance of NXT after Ardor is launched? Will it have any at all?

Looks to me like Coval has a whale accumulating, the biggest wallet is over 40m and growing daily.

Haven't you heard? Shannon Code is about to buy a company, 10 helicopters, a submarine and several airlines, so Coval is about to take off. Any moment now...

Your missing the point...this coin called etc is incomplete...so its is far from classic!

From a technical standpoint, the coin called ETC is as "complete" as the coin called ETH - they are literally identical at this moment in how they are pushing around their 1s and 0s in cyberspace.

Thus any differences in perceived value between them are due to the community that surrounds them.  So it's the community around ETC is incomplete, not the coin.

The ETC community has existed for two weeks instead of two years like the ETH group.

The key metric is that the ETC community, existing only 2% as long as ETH community, is being valued by the market as having 20% of the value of the ETH community.

So...if 2 weeks =20% equality market value... at this rate parity at 100% will occur in eight more weeks by early October.

Finished forked coin dumping

If  what some ETC claim is true, that ETH hackers stole the DAO 7+ million ETC, isn't that playing straight to their hands? I mean they will want to realize those $18 million, right?

From March 9: "The Ethereum developers have made available the first python based proof of concept (simulation) release of Serenity, the version of the Ethereum protocol designed to move from consensus through proof-of-work to proof-of-stake.  Called Serenity PoC2 (which contains the Casper economic consensus protocol)  is now available on Github and continues to be not a testnet-ready or production-ready client, according to Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Butterin."

Flawless victory!
Etc 1 x 0 fud

Now let pump etc! And short eth.

And how do you short ETH, by the way?

PETITION CALLING FOR MEMBERS OF THE ETHEREUM FOUNDATION/TEAM AND OTHERS (WHITE HACKERS) TO RETURN ETC TO DAO HOLDERS ADDRESSES.

SEE POST BELOW & SIGN THE PETITION.

https://www.change.org/p/ethereum-foundation-members-of-ethereum-team-white-hats-to-return-etc-to-dao-holders

Let me get this quite straight before I have a laugh attack: You want a lot of people, ETC investors all, to sign a "petition" so the ETH hackers who stole the ETC will return what they stole? Do you even realize how funny that is?  Do you think a few hundred -or thousand, or hundred of thousand- signatures will make them to reconsider and become good guys all of a sudden --assuming they are not fully convinced they have been just smarter than you and the other victims?

OK, after almost getting sick of laughing so hard, thanks for showing me that naivety still exists... to call it by it most innocent name, of course. W.O.W...

Here comes the rally... 4,770 top. And counting...

I believe we could go towards setting new highs all the way to 10k sat.

But there will be bouts of sells that will bring the price down once in a while too, of course.

The ARDR scheme is working like magic. Very, very, very smart.
I dont imagine NXT increasing much, as the longer you leave it, the less ardor you get, so people wont want to spend as much if you know what i mean.

No, I don't know what you mean... The longer you leave it, the MORE ardor you get, not the other way around. That's why less, many less, people is selling and more, many more, people are buying.

I believe, like I said, NXT is an easy double from here... ardor notwithstanding. Before October. We'll see.

Good up to 4600 but now 4300 again, do do think we are going to come back to 4000s??

It is more than possible, of course. But given that the scheme or Ardor is working very well, as I suspected it would, what I actually expect is for the price to continue going up. Significantly. At least in the near future.

It is actually quite exciting to watch the price action since the relentless selling has slowed down. Since this new stage has started, those who have not sold have made 25% in NXT price appreciation and almost 20% in Ardor, that's almost 45% in 2 weeks. Not bad at all. Definitely working.

The peculiar thing -and that's the reason for my optimism, short term at least-, is that this trend should feed itself and continue. Because you don't want to stop the Ardor accumulation by selling, on one side, and on the other you don't want to lose the price increase that seems quite sustained and sustainable, so selling may be a bit tempting but you don't want to be on the sidelines after selling watching the price rise and not having any -or having to buy back at higher price than you sold-  to keep on accumulating Ardor.

I stated that it was an incredibly smart scheme, as soon as I knew of it, and it is proven to work extremely efficiently. Exciting indeed.

If I buy Next now will I receive Ardors?

Or solely those who held Next before July the 14th?

You will receive Ardor even you buy NXT on Ostober 11th.

This guy Shannon Code, he's about to.... well, you know... he and his team have so many ideas.... buying a company, three planes, a building (70 floors minimum- in Manhattan...  Any moment now...

Again, the troll barabbas being here is likely a bullish indicator.  I'll quote my post on the Loyyal thread for those who do not follow both:

So if you are ready to wait a few months, maybe a few years, you should start accumulating? You must be making a killing using the "counter" strategy.

It's only a matter of time that Black coin, Vericoin, Vior, Bitecent and all the rest of that amazing gallery -including NAUT, will make a huige come back. A 100-foler is just on the horizon and just you will benefit from it. Wow, it must be tiresome to be an individual of such brilliant mind...

Just for the record, in case anyone else is interested in countertrading against appearances of the mighty troll barabbas, here are two recent examples:

Example #1:

Yep, giving that metric -not to mention your spot on track record-, after the completed boomerang trip of the P&D, you probably should be loading up... to keep on with that sterling record of yours. Funny indeed.

He wrote that in the NAUT thread on February 22.  On July 6, NAUT price hit 86k on Bittrex, despite the fact that he stated the "boomerang P&D" was over.  If you'd bought NAUT when he posted on February 22, when the range was 4949-8994, you could've sold on July 6 for a profit range of up to 956-1733%; if you were still holding today from that purchase, you would still be in 800-1454% profit, given today's current price around 72k.

Example #2:

I can't embed the quote from the now-locked Syscoin thread, but this is what Barabbas posted there, funnily enough also on February 22:

"OK, pump is done. Now what, back to below 100?"

On March 16, the price of SYS hit 4143sat on Bittrex.  If you'd bought SYS on February 22, after barabbas made his post, you would've bought between 465-649sat.  If you'd sold on March 16, you could've had profit in the range of 638-890%.  And again, if you were still hodling from your purchase on February 22, you would currently be up 185-267%, with today's price hovering around 1200sat.

So yes, barabbas, one could've made a shit ton of money counter-trading off just those two posts you made on February 22.

I don't have enough data points yet to know whether barabbas is consistently counter-tradable like Seaman, but I do think this is bullish for RBR.

Takk.

You and other "generous" -not to mention "brilliant"-, minds should actually load up the truck on this crap. That glorious piece of advice that you are giving will no doubt make all of them as millionaires as YOU are... oh, wait...

I gave you a list way longer, by the way.  In case you want, you know, to diversify...

220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ARDR][NO ICO] Ardor, or Nxt 2.0, a Scalable Child Chain Platform on: July 28, 2016, 10:19:36 PM
The price made me laugh out loud this morning  Cheesy

Why? Is there a reason why we should be laughing? I think it is still too high to get in at these price. I am still awaiting for it to go down and have a fair bargain before buying.

I kinda expected it to go back down to 2k sat to be honest, not sure if it's gonna get there any time soon.
Also, I am getting about 150 NXT/day forging now, which is awesome

On what basis?

Holding NXT means you get Ardor, the more NXT you hold (the door), the more Ardor you get. This should act to increase demand in NXT, so a falling NXT price right now would not make sense. There may be a sharp fall in price in September running up to the Ardor distribution but they might be counteracted by late comers trying to get in the door through FOMO.

I feel the wider crypto community are ignorant to the Ardor release and many will be waking up as volume increases.

I have pointed out this before that we can use the price of NXT as a barometer to measure the interest in Ardor. If there is not much demand in NXT then we can see that not many people are interested in Ardor. Right now we are seeing that the NXT community got in to buy and hold NXT. We still have not seen outside the NXT community because there is not much chatter in the forum about Ardor. Everyone is busy talking about ETC and before that STEEM.

You are quite right, I believe, regarding price/barometer. But you forget the most important and the determining factor in NXT, since practically the very beginning: The fat wallets owners have one (logical) purpose. One only: To cash in on their holdings as fast (but orderly) as possible. Wouldn't you? They own many millions, tens of millions of it. And they won't be wealthy until they sell, at a decent price, most of their holdings. So the selling pressure is absolutely constant. At any price. And, logically, sucks up every wave of buying. The market doesn't allow for more of what has happened in the last few weeks (much bigger fish to catch) and therefore the price will continue going down... all the way to where it was before the Ardor announcement. No one of the small fish is selling (they are all accumulating ARDR), but the fat wallets are selling as much as they can and as quickly as they can. Like I said, they do it in an orderly fashion to keep the price from nosediving, but the selling is relentless. That was before ARDR and continues now that the influx from current holders have subside. That's how NXT "works".

As for Ardor itself, I have been trying to understand what it is and I believe I have it, finally. It's just a relative small advance in the same already existent technology. I guess what I was hoping for was some kind of actual REAL WORLD use of it. There's none. It isn't a technology that is going to be used by any real company. Any bank. Any retailer. Any exchange. Any country. It is a technology that will be used -as it is already- in the "Asset exchange", which is basically trading between a minimal group of people "assets" of no value or relevance in the real world. Or by chimeric "customers", such as NAUT or the Democracy thing that no country will ever use in the real world. So, again, it is something sold only to the exact same of convinced people with the exact same amount of resources but that is no closer to any mainstream use than it was two and a half years ago. Oh, and yes, the blockchain technology is being pushed in the real world, but it is being pushed (studied, experimented with...) by big REAL companies that will eventually come up with ready-to-implement solutions that will be sold to all the big companies (REAL ones) that are going to implement it.

As for the idea of decentralization... well, let's just say it is never, ever going to happen in the real world. Ever. And for good, evident reasons.

So now I finally understand that all the speak here -and in other boards- is directed at the "cult", not at the real world. But isn't it fun?

I do not know if what you say is true. But if you put it all together it could be precisely why they decided to make the NXT holders be also Ardor holders by snapshot. It will be those same people that will also become Ardor whales. They have definitely and clearly doubled their holdings when the Ardors are all given away.

But I still do not believe in what you are saying without proof.

I wouldn't expect differently from a bbc.reporter, of course. As usual, if you want the truth, just follow the money. I'm not going to do your work for you (although I could).
