And get some off PayCoin -too risky- and send it their way. They really need and iPhone pronto!

Thank you by the way for spreading the word. How's everyone else doing with the assignment of getting 10 or more friends and relatives signed on?

Lets do it!

Pro tip: Tie your cellphone to ceiling fan and turn it on for an hour for maximum mangocoinz  Grin

Edit: Don't bother

I'm getting kind of turn off by Mangocoinz  Angry. Walking and running doesn't mine anything. Only way I can mine is by shaking the phone and even then I have to shake it for 5 minutes to get half a mangoz  Angry. What's the point of allowing 7 mangoz/day when you can't even mine them?  Huh

Difficulty is killing mangocoinz right now and I'm not sure how we would  attract new users with this much difficulty. I showed it to my sister and she downloaded it and uninstalled it after a day and her reason was "It doesn't do anything". It's almost pointless to even download the app for new users..most will uninstall it if they aren't seeing any progress when they go for a run.

just my few cents.

Give it a real chance man, this is extremely early stages and many things will be changed to make it the best it can be. You raise a great point but I am pretty sure the devs are going to take care of it very, very soon.

Why haven't you submitted a logo yet?

I haven't given up. It'll be harder to invite new users with this much difficulty right now. New users want to know the purpose of the application and if it's not working they'll uninstall it.

I tried to tell her about Bitcoin and how it was at 0.10 at one time but that wasn't enough to attract her.  Tongue

Logo? Is there a logo competition going on that I'm unaware of?

link?

YESSSSS! you have to read a little more closely man.... And it is urgent!
1123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MangoCoinz Official ANN Thread - Mine cryptocurrencies on you smart phone on: January 13, 2015, 10:43:55 AM
I have just suggested a quick solution that I'm sure the devs are going to consider and hopefully implement: It is much more attractive if people can mine a lot of coins easily, during really normal movement -no shaking- even if the total that they would be able to sync will remain the same 7.

This will make much more attractive for new users to get hooked on the application.

I reminded them that the purpose of this is to make the distribution fair, it isn't -shouldn't be- a quest... or a risk of getting injured shaking or break your phone.

And I would again suggest you guys forget about the price now. Let those who want to sell (please, to me) do. This is waaaay too early in the development for than to be of any importance. Everyone will see the enormous potential of this project -still in BETA phase, remember?- and will want to buy in. THEN, it will be time to talk about price. Right now the more the coins move around, the better. Whatever the price.

Please donate instead as much as you can to help these guys coming out with the IOS version -they need the iPhone for it-. I am planning on some major action on pR that will be halved in results -and discouragement- when half the people interested see that they are left out. Donating is more effective investment in your coins than actually mining or selling them. These coins are going to eventually be worth quite a bit of money IF AND ONLY IF the devs get the resources to take it to its full potential. And we need to help. No donation is too small. Send them the ACTIONS that will motivate them to do the best that they can AND search for the help they may need to create something amazing on this extraordinary platform. It will come back to us. In spades.

They posted a question, with a screen shot, in the Forum. So far no answers...
1126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Viorcoin | Voice & Video Call | Cheap International Calls on: January 12, 2015, 06:49:30 PM
Obviously the dev is busy and presumably working on getting the release he promised today.

I imagine that is also the reason why a wallet malfunction question posted over 7 hours ago in the forum has not been answered.

I don't know where he is located but there are still almost 14 hours until midnight in the western US, so I don't think putting any further pressure on him can be productive in any way.

Barabbas gone bull.....

Buy the shit out of this coin lol

Go to bittrex. Beta for a better view

That's what you get from my post? Talk about wishful thinking... or maybe it is that I express myself really poorly, perhaps.

I trade in a bunch of coins, most of which I would not endorse if they paid me (well..., depends on how much). For instance, I just traded PayCoin. Do you think I am a "bull" there too? Hey, perhaps I am...

And I have actually traded Vior recently -out at 7554 if you must know-, which is far from an endorsement also. Way too early for that. And with the current wallet having seemingly problems even less.

Another thing, what is the point of having forums away from BTCT, if no one goes there at all? Baffling...

Hey barabbas..
http://coinblab.com/forums/topic/362/barabbas-aka-josede-vega2009-aka-jose-de-vega

btw. do NOT download and install latest web-installer wallet. It's full of ad-wares.
Another FAIL presented as awesome thing!

So far we have..
- closed souce wallet (with ad-warez!)
- not existing promised mac and linux wallet
- closed source miner (but that's kinda ok if we want that PoM idea)
- closed/moderated forum
- closed group on closed/moderated forum
- closed explenations with no facts
- closed...

too much closed.. I want to help you IE but you are to much closed!

Oh well, to be expected from IE... those personality peculiarities that have brought him so much success in crypto.

It is true that Johnny Bravo (under his orders, of course) invited me to a debate on his YouTube audio stream with him and IE to "clear the air on some misconceptions about Bytecent".... well, here's the invitation in it's totality:

Hello Barabbas,

I am also known as Johnny Bravoo of The Bytecent Weekly Update. I was wondering if you would be interested in coming on our show with Iconic Expert? Now before you get the idea this is a "Grudge Match" type of podcast this is more to clear the air on some misconceptions about Bytecent. It will be a civil conversation where both of you guys can ask each other questions and clear the air without a bunch of people fudding on forums. I can personally say some of the misconceptions is about his personality in general. He is someone that genuinely is doing great things to make Bytecent the best crypto around and helping crypto in general by changing the public view. He has many critics for all the wrong reasons and we cannot make most of those critics happy. We would like the opportunity to clear up some misconceptions you may have. Unlike the ones with hate in their hearts for whatever reason, I do recognize you are a reasonable person that can have a one on one conversation to have a better understanding of what is going on. As the shows producer I am asking you to come on and I know for a fact IE has no ill will towards you.

IE is the lead developer of Bytecent but it is not IE alone. We have a great team in place with great ideas. We also have successful business people as well as some of the best crypto minds around. In the next few months we will be doing things outside of the normal crypto bubble.

We all agree crypto is headed in the wrong direction in many ways. The scams have changed and become more elaborate. Many good coins are suffering because of the "coin of the month" mentality that really needs to stop. We are interested in showing you that Bytecent is far from a disaster and some of the things we have in the works to improve crypto.

Please PM me back and let me know if you are interested so we can do a schedule to come on.

Thank you,
JB

And here is my response to it, verbatim:

Hi KryptoKings,

Thank you for your offer, I appreciate it. And yes, as you say and IE knows very well, there's no hate at all in me, never was. But I am going to decline your offer because I don't believe there's anything positive that would come out of it and, certainly, there's no misconceptions about IE's personality on my part. I am not going to pretend I know him thoroughly but that is not going to change through a radio conversation, therefore it would be pointless. I do know his shortcomings when it comes to his "job" as a dev, all of them due to his personality flaws. But I don't want to dwell on it and, like I said, it would be totally pointless since he is not going to work out those flaws and I am not going to change my opinion. I know that for a radio aficionado this will sound a bit weird but I don't believe spoken words can change anything of this nature; only actions would. Actions IE is unwilling to take -due to those personality flaws- and that have put him in the absurd position of seeing his project dissolve itself into a minimal side show. Bytecent is not going anywhere but down, as I have posted. It was a disaster on launch, IE continued looking to the other side through the absolute mess of the rigged (not necessarily by him, mind you) mining for weeks on end, and continues beyond messy with arbitrary banning of areas, regions, countries, that serve no purpose because the coin's float continues getting fatter and fatter way, way beyond what he promised. It has no solution. And no amount of "doing" will salvage the project at this level, for the simple reason that no one cares about it. No one in crypto and no one outside of crypto. The absence from these forums and the banning of criticism in CoinBlab is just the shot to the head that any coin looking for people's adoption needed, even if the other flaws wouldn't have existed and everything would have gone on schedule. The two combined, well... but you are a believer, probably because it serves to justify your own hobby within a hobby I don't know, so no amount of convincing will result in any progress with you, therefore all this is nothing but an exercise in futility.

On an additional side, you can tell IE that saving the dat file in his wallet doesn't save the wallet at all. I know because I have done it and I am unable to recoup some 250 BYC that I had in it. That's just another side of the mess that the whole project is.

So, as you can clearly see, talking about these things and recording it, will not be positive for anyone at all. And I don't want to be debated, for ages on end, by idiots in forums full of hatred, racist or otherwise, interpreting at their whim my spoken words. There's nothing to gain from it. For anyone.

I'm sure both you and IE will understand.

And, by the way, I am now interested in a new project that really brings digital currencies to the masses and is mined, FAIRLY, by everyone from their smart phones. Call it the evolution of what Bytecent could have been and never will be. Hopefully we will get the money to bring it to the mature level.

Thanks again for your kind offer and best to you and IE.

B

So those who might be interested (maybe half a dozen, tops?) can draw their own conclusions... away from the peculiar glasses tinted at will of IE.

There's no upside on anything connected with IE anymore. That battle was lost a (crypto) long time ago.
1129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MangoCoinz Official ANN Thread - Mine cryptocurrencies on you smart phone on: January 12, 2015, 09:47:47 AM
Not altogether negative (at all), but this is what the current name evokes: http://healthimpactnews.com/2013/17-reasons-why-you-need-a-mango-every-day/
http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/275921.php

And, for several reasons, this project should target the fitness/exercise demographic more directly, while establishing clearly that it is indeed an alternative currency nthat you would be able to use to buy anything, not just mangoes.

Fitnesscoin
FitBits.

Keep suggesting and, eventually, voting.

And donating, please.

No one selling me any Mangocinz? I pay exchange price and donate 10% to the bounties fund...

Mangocoinz android client needs an address book asap.
Also a backup option.

Back up option? You can never lose your coins as long as you don't lose your password....
1131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safe Buys and Scams on: January 12, 2015, 09:12:05 AM
What would you consider to be safe buys in altcoins for the time being and maybe holding for the next 6-12 months?

Which coins do you consider to be scams and to avoid at all costs?

The ones to avoid are so numerous that I would say at least 85% of all the ones in existence. Some of the specific ones -but by no means the only ones- are in my THE WALL OF SHAME.

There's a way to avoid scams for sure: Get in on those that cost you absolutely nothing, not a penny. No danger of being scammed, none whatsoever. Do they exists? Of course! My personal recommendation is Mangocoinz.

It is a game changer. And costs you nothing at all to participate in the project. Look it up.
1132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MangoCoinz Official ANN Thread - Mine cryptocurrencies on you smart phone on: January 12, 2015, 01:59:34 AM
TASK OF THE  WEEK

Everyone gets 10 friends and family members, MINIMUM, to download and use Mangocoinz. Please tell them the name will be changed but the opportunity to mine will remain. Be all aware that there are less than 17 million coins total to mine, supply that is going to last very little. After that, hopefully, it will somehow go to a very profitable initial phase of PoS (all of this will have to be developed and developed pretty quickly).

Let's get at least 1,000 more downloads by this time next week!

And consider donating if you can.
1133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SFR] SaffronCoin | Decentralized Exchange to release soon! on: January 12, 2015, 01:43:55 AM
Roshan do not even take the trouble to come on the forum, do not monitor SFR.
I support the SFR from the beginning, but now I admit that I have lost confidence  Sad

Roshan has not done anything for this coin or care for it at all for months now. Incredibly, deluded "believers" gave him a pass again and again (even voted heavily for him on that laughable "Honor" contest).

Now, the inevitable, has come to fruition and even the most deluded realize it is over. I doubt many will be supportive of Roshan from now on.

You clearly have no idea what you're talking about. He has been working his ass off with SFRdirect. Dont be deluded just because he doesnt post here on a daily basis to appease trolls like yourself.

BTW, what happened to keeping your word for leaving this community, devs and coin alone...something you promised a couple months ago? Why do you post the same redundant vitriol over and over again? We get it, you think its a dead project...so why exactly do you keep wasting your time coming back? Wouldnt it make more sense to spend your time being more productive and find coins which you think have more potential?

As a matter of fact I do that too: Mangocoinz, since you asked.

I try, to the best of my ability, to save [people from being separated from their money. When I lighted the red lights here, SFR was above 1,000 sat, way above. People would have saved quite a bit of money getting out of this train wreck then. And that's the point: Build credibility. Likewise, in the opposite direction, with the recommendation. I know you get it, but are too butthurt by the losses to recognize it, much less act on it.

The OBLIGATION of the devs in any project that involves investment is to DEFEND that investment. Roshan, clearly, doesn't give a fuck about investors losing their money on HIS projects. And that is simply very, very wrong, ok?

I stopped posting here, and said so, to demonstrate to idiots that posting educated criticism did not have any effect in the price. It has been clearly demonstrated once again with the downside spiral WITHOUT any critical or negative posting (and there were reason to post, massively, since nothing was being done much less delivered here, not even updates of any kind).

I also posted above I was dipping a little bit below 270 in the outside chance of a minimal rebound. I bought more than I had initially expected to be able too, therefore I am interested and hoping there's some rebound. Extremely doubtful but...

Now back to your delusions. And your hurting butt.
1134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MangoCoinz Official ANN Thread - Mine cryptocurrencies on you smart phone on: January 12, 2015, 01:09:55 AM

Good. More will be joining very, very soon.

But lets keep the priorities straight and get those donations coming!

Anyone wants to donate an "old" iPhone? Get in touch with the devs. Otherwise please consider donating to their BTC account or their "donations" PR Fund.
1135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Viorcoin | Voice & Video Call | Cheap International Calls on: January 12, 2015, 01:06:12 AM
I'm guessing 18-20k, maybe more, but we need more exchanges.

There is no guarantee dev will release anything, price could also crash sub 5k.

You can hope to buy back the coins you sold at 5 but I doubt it will happen.

Even without the gateway vior is worth 6500 sat.

I think you mean 15k without gateway and Could be as high as 100k after release. Look at coins like URO or Black who grew so big, but then crashed, because they were just well thought out, but delivered basically nothing. Imagine when VIOR grows and hits multiple exchanges and continues to deliver as it has several times in a span of weeks. All people on this ship are already going to make a substantial amount. Telecom is HUGE and we're going light years ahead of them in all facets of technologies, security and accessibility.  Cheesy

Black was pumped and then dumped, with the full cooperation of the devs, to the highs in the 90s. That and ONLY that was the reason for the price to get so high. After the bubble burst and The Black Hand and the fraud devs were exposed, the price plummeted by 90% and below... where it remains in spite of the seemingly clean house that it could be now. Many investors will not touch it with a ten feet pole... with good reason. Erasing a dirty past is hard -if not impossible- to do.
1136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MangoCoinz Official ANN Thread - Mine cryptocurrencies on you smart phone on: January 12, 2015, 12:06:35 AM
I think this is a great project and wanted to follow barabbas idea of getting the current investors to reinvest 10-20% back into development and maybe company giveaways.. Everyone should follow suit!

Heres my 15%

Wow, magnificent! Thanks a lot.

This is going to take off like a rocket if we manage to find enough generous supporters like yourself. Hopefully someone will sell me coins so I can donate too. For now I have less than 10 coins!

But will donate BTC. Come on people, let get this moving!!!!

Thanks again, Jasemoney!
