Fitbits.

I know many like the name Mango. Problem is that, for most people both in crypto and above all outside in the real world, it will be always and immediately associated with the fruit and the immediate thinking after being informed will precisely be how it is possible to name a coin such (totally unrelated) thing. They won't be interested in the real explanation (Man GO), just will find it quite absurd.

A name and logo should both encompass the meaning of the project and the target audience, in an attractive -and youthful but not juvenile- way. Because we are talking currency, money, here.

@barabbas - why are you in such a good mood? Normally you're fudding over on the Seedcoin thread.. did you profit from the recent pump, exit and move onto to Mango?  Tongue

You are VERY wrong, my friend. I NEVER fud. I ALWAYS post concerns, doubts, FACTS as I perceive them when there's no clear proof and always, ALWAYS, the truth. SEED is a disaster, a total disaster with the guys from the scam that is PINKcoin in total control and manipulation. I call it like it is, as you well know.

I see three guys here playing clean and having, in my opinion, the most fun, original, simple and easy coin project perfectly capable of achieving what no other coin has or will: to jump right into the mainstream. There's no money here to be scammed. There is a ton of money to be made... IF the community donates generously and the devs deliver what they say they can. And it can be achieved in a very short period of time.

That's why I am in a "good mood" and helping as much as I can. I also plan on investing some modest amount of BTC in it to benefit from what I believe can be an explosion the likes of which have never been seen nor ever be seen again in crypto.

I won't argue about this with you since it is not the place. A quick look through your previous posts and it still looks to me like you were trying to discredit what the team over at SEED was/is doing. They are STILL progressing and moving the project along.. if this was an outright scam as you stated many times then they would have peaced long ago. Again, I'm not looking to argue you here I was just poking the bear because to be honest you kind of ruined that thread for me for a while and I honestly didn't think they deserved the scrutiny you were throwing at them. We can at least agree that this project (whatever the name will be) has a lot of potential. As long as you're respectful I will keep you off my ignore list.. which I doubt you really care about anyway but I thought I'd fill you in.

Since still and for now it remains uncensored, anyone interested can check the SEED thread and make up their mind. And I stand, obviously, by what I just posted about it above. And then some.

You are quite right in your assumption. What you choose to do with the tools provided by these forums is not of my incumbence... nor, I would venture, of anyone else regardless what you may think. Therefore, do as you please but keep it to yourself in any case.

I don't have any problem, as you very well know, engaging anyone on an open thread as long as a minimal decorum is observed but maintaining bilateral conversations in a public forum is distracting and inappropriate for most if not all the rest of the participants and I'd rather not go in that direction. But up to you in any case.

let's just agree to disagree on this one. I'm sure you're an intelligent and obviously, an articulate one. You're absolutely welcome to your own opinion, I just ask you to consider the experience of other users on here AS WELL as your own. Not asking you to change anything, just asking for consideration. It's up to you if you'd like to act on that request. Either way, best of luck.

Agreeing to disagree is a magnificent way to get along and perfectly fine with me.

Best of luck to you too.

I like this coin and the idea of first Android altcoin Smiley
But I have some doubts...
First - no p2p and no open source.
Second - is it possible to create a script which will use the Android emulator on a PC to mock the miner and generate coins? This would be a disaster for this coin...

What exactly is the p2p that this coin doesnt have?

Now it looks completety centralized: you need to log in to the main server to do anything with your coins. There is no separate wallet file, only login & password. If the site will be attacked all coins or user credentials may be compromised..

I understand you explanation although I don't exactly see what centralized has to do with p2p (peer to peer). I do believe your reservations are due to the fact that this is a DIFFERENT coin, very different, from many other altcoins, including BTC. If being centralized is an obstacle for you, that's seems quite legitimate and this coin will not be for you. You, on the other hand, could put that on a different perspective: As the downside of a project the likes of which has never existed before and with enormous advantages to counter. But, like I said, it all comes down to the importance you assign to that aspect of the project.

Me personally, I believe it is an advantage, one more, since legislation is inevitable, I believe a "clean" coin which complies with every rule and law has a much better chance to thrive than Darkcoin, for instance. But, like I said, it's quite in tune with the personal aspirations of every one.

Hey everybody,

We want to expand MangoCoinz's reach to other OS's like iOS (iPhone) and Windows Phone.
At this point in time we lack the resources to buy an real iPhone for testing the app, because we can't test the movement that is used for mining in the iPhone emulator present in Xcode.

We would appreciate any donations that you can make in BTC for this cause.
Here is our BTC wallet address: 1Mebxj32cSy9HccziuvZm9AuUJLWLF9Hom
(excess donations will go to PR)

We would also like to get some MCZs are a donation that will go to pay bounties for community efforts.
Here is our MCZ donation username: donations

Best regards, Srele from MangoCoinz.

you can pickup an old iphone4 for Ģ50 on eBay

If that is good enough to test the wallet, we will have to provide the funds for that. It seems to me though that we should try with the latest and most popular models. This is a good investment because it can be exchanged for newest models when time comes to keep ahead of the curve at all times.

In any event, donations are needed in significant amounts and will always be needed. When a project is clean, the money and support can only come from one part: The community.

As I have posted above, I want to buy MCZ directly at the (real, not manufactured) last prices in the exchange. Of all coins that I buy, 10% will be donated to those community efforts.

I would also like to propose a new name for the project: Fitcoin (FIT) and a new logo with emphasis on fitness, women and healthy lifestyles. I'm sure we could manage to provide a modest bounty for whoever designs the best logo. Other names are also welcome, of course, provided that the devs agree with the change.

Name taken

Yep. Just saw that. Pity, nice name. How about Fitnesscoin? It seems to be open... I'm sure many other will come up with other nice names. Let's see.

Shapecoin?

no exchange yet?

There's an exchange, but I don't have an account there and don't want to open one. I prefer to deal directly -with escrow provided by the user that offered a few pages back-. I will buy at the prices in that exchange.

Help out MangoCoinz dev team by donating some btc, like i did Smiley
http://prntscr.com/5qo4my

That link takes you to a very strange place. Devs will hopefully put a link in the official forum where people can donate BTC for them to get the phones they need for testing Iphone and Windows wallets. I know I'll be modestly donating to help. Everyone else should too.

Thx for cheap coins. Someone just dump on me 100K. Sweet.

SFR is not dead. It is pretty alive.
Wallet is one of the best, that I ever saw. (and it synching fine, coin is fine, no fork...)
Fell free to sell more at this price.  Cool

Wallet is good -more than good, great-, but exceptionally bloated. But the coin is dead for all intents and purposes. Just in case it somehow manages to rebound a bit from these levels, I am buying a few if I can get them under 270... fully convinced that 90% chance of being trowing money away.

Hello everybody!

The difficulty will not be decreased, it will only get even harder in the future.
Regarding the ridiculously low price on usecryptos.com, we don't know if there is anything that can be done. People sell their MCZ for almost nothing. I don't see how it pays out for them.
If this doesn't stop any time soon, if the price doesn't go up or at least stabilize, we will be forced to take measures and start interfering in the entire trade of MangoCoinz.

Best regards, Svonione from MangoCoinz.

Several things:

1st, I believe Srele is doing a very good job communicating what you guys are doing. He -and only him- should be the community manager with you other two intervening in forums sucvh as this as less as possible. "Ominous" is just a way to describe your post. HARMFUL would perhaps be more appropriate.

2.- There have been a few very good ideas already volunteered. I am going to disagree, in general, with two, while enthusiastically support most of the others. The two I have problems with are the targeting of young kinds. That's an easy demographic that should be targeted much later when the coin is more established, not now. Reason? They don't have any money and they will sell whatever coins they can get for free as soon as they can. price will continue suffering. IT is a very needed demographic but, like I said, for later, once Mango is more established and subject to laws of a bigger market, not now. Women, on the other hand, is quite different. They should be pursued. And the best way to get their attention is through the fitness idea that several posters have volunteered.

The other suggestion I am against is the games. Not at this time anyway. You have several major concerns that require maximum dedication: First is the wallet for IOS and other OSs. This is rather urgent and I know you are on the roll with it. Maximum dedication. Close following, the matters of security already pointed out by another poster, about the MITM issue and his other concerns. All of these aspects are, once again, very urgent and require your full concentration, not distractions about the price or any other programming/coding adventure.

3.- The video should be done much more professionally. It is refreshing to see you guys seemingly playing around but your English is not too good and your demeanor excessively juvenile. Something with similar content, in general, but executed much more professionally, should be done instead as soon as possible.

4.- You need a Roadmap. With real targets and approximate timelines when possible.

5.- Your Future Plans in the OP state that you want "as many developers integrating MangoCoinz into their system. These include online services, mobile and online games etc. This is achieved with our easy to use API that is already in place." This is quite absurd on several levels. Number one, why would you? What would be the gains for Mangocoinz? Number two, it goes counter to your desire of having the code closed -which I understand and support for it is the only value of the application/coin-. So let's get this straight and out of there: You DO NOT want any other coin to have any of what Mangocoinz has. And that's why you don't want to make public the code. Not now, not in the long future -until MangoCoinz is sufficiently established to not have to worry if anyone else simply copy/paste it.

Now, I also have a relative problem with the idea of the giveaway in the troll box of polo or Crypsty or Bittrex. You should NOT target Crypto people. Believe me, most of them are already aware of Mango's existence and if they are not in it is because they don't believe you stand a chance. Insisting more is a waste of time and resources. You want to do giveaways? Use Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, What's up, etc. But mostly, go for what should be one of your main demographics: Women and fitness. There are a myriad of companies and products that would welcome freebies such as Mangocoing. But, first of all, you have to solve a very basic problem: You will be perceived as somebody selling Mangoes, the fruit. This is unfortunate because Go MAN is almost perfect (perfect would be if it integrates men AND women. So think about it and don't be fearful of rebranding. You are at very early stages and a name and a logo will indeed go a very long way in your path to the success of this project. But name and logo left aside, like I was saying, Fitness products and related healthy lifestyle ones should be your main target. And that is completely outside of cryto. From smartwatches to Nike shoes, from Whole Foods to Gold's Gym and all the gym chains in the world, from Nutrisystem to Lean Cusine to Herbalife... the list is just enormous. Tackle them one at a time, in batches. Contact them. Ask the to integrate in their promotions a small donation free to those customers who download the application... THAT is your demographics. It will be an explosion. THEN the crypto vultures will pay attention. And you will be the first altcoin that will surpass, by far, the usage of all cryptos, BTC included, in the real world. The possibilities are limitless, really. But there's a lot of work tyo be done. You must do it or motivate the community to do it along you. If the work is  done, I can guarantee you that this ship will take off like a rocket... in due time. In the time that you need, anyway, to solve all those other problems mentioned before... on of which, last but most definitely not least, is answering the question what happens when all of the 16+ millions coins are mined? Then what happens to Mango (or whatever else you decide to call it, please call it something different, the entire future of the coin may depend on it)?

Anyway, that's my contribution. This project is quite unique, way simpler than any other and therefore, way more accessible to people that have never even heard of Bitcoin. They all have motives and encouragement enough to jump in. They all have the means (phones) and they all will jump, massively, on this project, very  quickly consuming the coins to be mined. So get to it ASAP, ok?

Oh wait, there are a couple of problems that you know the answers much better than me: Coins. You need a LOT of coins to give away. A LOT. And although I assume than you three guys have quite a few of them already, I believe most of those should remain yours for you, as the generators of this project, deserve to reap the benefits and be rich because of it, not just the idea but, above all, the execution. So how do you get the rest? There's only one answer: The community. If the community doesn't donate, nothing of this is possible. So establish immediately a Promotional Fund to which you guys and everyone else in the community donate at least 10% of what everyone has. At this juncture, that a measly 15,000 coins. That's too few by any measure. 20%? Try to get it. Why not establish a target of 25,000 coins and see how it goes? Still minimal for what I have proposed but a first step nevertheless. Everyone will understand when you give away something with real value, the reserves have to be limited so instead of participating in 10 promotions at once, get the two best candidates that you can get -or even just one, making it exclusive- and go for nit. After that, time to evaluate and, again, hit the community. Believe me, if the first "experiment" is successful, it will have an immediate reflection in the price and people will be quite favorable to donate more for future, even more valuable promotional campaigns... and companies and services will "pick up the phone" if not contact you themselves, once the first one is over and successful.

So there go your assignments. You need a lot of help and that is always the main problem. Do your best. Ask for the rest. Good luck.

Hey guys, I will be speaking at the Dubai Bitcoin Conference this 13th. Will be giving a talk on SFRDirect and how asset currencies are very much beneficial.
This could very well bring us great exposure and great marketing for SFRDirect.
A few days later, we can be all set for rolling out SFRDirect to initialize the burning phase.

Regards,

Roshan
Hello

Happy new year to everyone.

A few days later? It is 3 weeks now. I still believe in Saffron, but it hurts a bit.

This coin is dead, unfortunately. The dev obviously has other commitments/obligations/priorities but, much more importantly, this project has failed miserably at creating a community and it is only a few people with no financial means whatsoever, on a wing and a prayer.

SFRDirect, if it is ever developed, would probably bring only a minor opportunity for those deluded bagholders (very, very few) to get out of Dodge in a hurry.
So it will probably never be delivered and, instead, used for other projects the dev is committed to. Safforn is dead, waiting to be buried.

I donīt think so. Coin is not dead.
Iīm only  impatient. Thatīs all.
You should GTFO. (with your useless posts)

It's quite immaterial what you think, say or  even do -since you don't have any resources whatsoever-. There's never a case, ever, in which a coin project comes back from going under $20k valuation. Truth is that this project cannot be salvaged at this point, even if there were anyone -with resources- interested in it.

And yes, this post is, from your perspective and the sorry one of the bagholders of SFR, completely useless since it is stating the sad reality and not some "miracle solution", completely non-existent, that could revive. So keep on praying and exercising your poor taste and delusional qualities that got you broke to begin with. You will continue repeating the same idiotic decisions -hang on, in this case- that brought you to the pathetic situation you are ion in the first place. Enjoy!

today we have $24k valuation, so we are living againg sir? Cheesy

The answer is obvious. But you still would refuse to see it, right?

Oh and by the way, if you were to sell now any significant amount of coins, let's say half a million, the price would be in single satoshis, so the "valuation" of this exercise in futility would not get above a couple of BTC, around $500.

If that.

try to ignore guys who troll by simply not responding them.
Last three pages are simply worthless.

I must be misguided... all you have posted has been banter about the price and its shitstorm, is that the civilized tech talk you want to encourage?

1158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Viorcoin | Voice & Video Call | Cheap International Calls on: January 09, 2015, 06:23:36 PM
@barabbas

It seems you are not that much smart. Here is not about why Vior is better or not than Skype or other services. It is about alternative to the other services who do the same or similar thing. It is the matter of the choices. Who will use what it is only personal thing.

You mentioned it is only the matter of the price. Correct. Everything have price, even your bullshiting.

Anyway, Vior is nice idea, if it will be succeed we will see. I am quite sure i will use it for calls.

All the best for you.

What you guys can't continue doing is contradicting yourselves on every post: The origin of this discussion was that IF regular people would use Vior to make calls...

Now, apparently, that is not a purpose than can be seriously contemplated given the competition already established, so it's back to the community and the NSA paranoias etc. OK, I could go for that. It is just a gimmick, like anon was a couple months ago, and it will last a month, tops, but OK. Can the crypto community support Vior as a service? Maybe. What they are not doing at all is support it as a currency, that for sure, as the present dumping shows once more.

But everyone is free to delude themselves as they please, of course.

All the best to you too.

And i explained to you, why it ofeers advantages against other services.
But i think that you didnt see the difference between skype and skype credit calls  Huh

So it is back to the argument about "regular people" seeing the convenience and advantages of Vior over other alternatives again?

Alright. This may come as a shock to you -and others here- but most people (like 99% of those in the planet) don't care if anyone is interested in their conversations. As a matter of fact, if you ever use public transportation you will realize very quickly that the opposite, if anything, is true and people talking obnoxiously loudly on their phones is the norm, not the exception.

I am aware of the difference between skype and skype credit calls. Is the difference in price so substantial as to compete when NOBODY outside of a very minor amount of people INSIDE the crypto world -all with plenty of alternatives and more coming in-, in the real world? Like I said, you can choose to delude yourself any way you want but no one is going to drink cheaper cola then pepsi or coke... even if the alternatives were somehow "better", if you get my gist...

But the horse is dead already so, if you don't mind, I will leave this particular discussion here.

We can address that ville think when implemented... if Vior is still around by then though...

@barabbas

There's no such thing as regular people you imbecile, we're all people and VIOR will grow and you know what? Even if you have 100 billion dollars we don't want a penny from you, get the fk out nobody wants your trashy smell here. Bye.

I did not introduce the term "regular people" in the discussion, you class act.

Ah, the company you keep...
