Oh also, what exchange are people finding is the most reliable/best featured? I was previously using Bittrex which was OK, but I'm guessing binance maybe has better choice and volume these days. Is trailing stop-loss available on any exchange?
Hi Frodev,

Definitely contact support@margin.de about hero/subscription.

In my opinion Binance is the goto exchange. With the current margin release you get Bleu for free. CoinbasePro is now available in the subscription.

Welcome Back!

CTShaman

thanks,
what is bleu?

Bleutrade is an exchange which can be used for free with margin. So you can even start trading without a paid plan Wink

All the best,

  Rene

Hello all, some of you may remember me from last winter, just before the shit-storm that was the great crypto depression of 2018  Cheesy Cry

Well I left LeonArdo idling on my Digital Ocean droplet and got busy with other things in life for a few months, forgot all about it, had my Droplet deleted, owed DO some money, and forgot all bout LeonArdo for a while.

Recently I've thought to come back to it, and what a lot of changes I find here! I'm not surprised to see the change to a subscription model, and while I'm a little disappointed, I completely understand the need for the change and am open to paying a sub if I can make the software profitable again. I do have a few offputting concerns though:

  • No monthly payment of the subscription. For me it's currently tricky to pay the whole year in one hit, and I suspect a large portion of your potential user base will feel the same.
  • Is the strategy editor in there yet? For me this is a big missing piece, as the existing strategies were too often prone to losing out in sharp market moves (up or down) to be considered reliable/profitable in my experience.

That's pretty much it. I hope, as an early adopter hero, I will still be able to take advantage of the 6 month demo and 50% discount thereafter???

there are monthly payment options. Unfortunately they are fiat only as recurring payments with btc are not that easy.
And just contact support@margin.de if you have any problems to get up and running.

All the best,

  Rene

Hi and thanks for your work Wink Do you store somewhere user related information on your back (balances, trades, etc.)? Firs version (leonardo) have had sources on github, and new one in private repo?

We don't see your trades. They are executed directly from your computer on/to the exchange. leonardo was never open source though.

All the best,

Hello
Indicator BB in the original works differently as you have in the bot!
You need to buy then when the tapes diverge, it speaks of an uptrend

First sharp movement

Second sharp movement

And so on ad infinitum. While there is a sharp increase, the values of the deviations increase, what it looks like on the chart as an extension of Bollinger Tape.

Point 1

The next movement, say after 2-4 hours on hour TF. The average can begin to level off or continue to grow. The lower tape starts to turn up. The upper one can either continue to move steeply upward, or look up at a lower angle than before.

Point 2

We get the second point - the attenuation of the initial motion.

There is still some sort of price movement ... Again, we calculate the parameters. As it turns out, the lower tape already "stretches" upward, and the upper one either becomes horizontal or less than the previous value. We get 3 points.

Point 3

As soon as the top line begins to "pull up" to the middle, we get the 4 final point - the end of the price movement. The extension is probably complete.

Point 4

If suddenly new price data at this point in time (between 3 and 4 point, or immediately after the 3rd) bring in new higher prices, what will happen?
The average will go up. The bottom line will either continue to "pull" to the middle, or turn back, but the upper Bollinger line will rush up again. Point 3 is canceled and we expect a new point 3.

If we buy through such a strategy, then we will be confident by 90% that the market is going up, because BB gives us a 90% guarantee that the market will move either up or down, or flat

Sorry, I wrote through a translator

Hi,

no problem Smiley Thanks for your detailed report.

There are various BB strategies and this is just one of them. It is also just the first strategy we implemented Wink
To understand better how it works you can have e.g. a look at this description:

For further questions you can also contact support@margin.de or ask in the community slack https://leonardough-slack.herokuapp.com/

This is great news! Thanks team!
I've got all of my exchanges running on this release now.

For those with coinbase it is super easy and fast to transfer funds between coinbase and CoinbasePro. When adding deposits to your wallet at the top right of the popup it gives you the option of transferring funds directly from your account. (almost too handy) Wink

I had been trading on Bleu, which is probably the easiest exchange in the world to sign up for and have had particular successes with the ETC/BTC pair. I have watched Bleu grow from $8K a day to well over $200K, it is really taking off!

I feel it is super sporting of margin to give away the ability to trade on Bleu without a subscription too.  Cool

With Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS releasing today and this too, geekdom paradise day for me.  Grin

Hats off for a job well done!

CTShaman

PS.
This version uses less memory too

thanks! great to hear.

All the best,

No, i've recently been using leonardo only for poloniex and today started with bittrex. And from the very first order it gave me an error i tried 3 different pairs but result is the same.I'm using windows 7.
I have been testing the EMA bot and I have to say its a mediocre bot.
This is not a diss at Margin, the software works as intended and all.
This is a diss at the strategy.

Hi,

if you have any questions or need assistance, just send us a mail to support@margin.de and someone from our support team will be in touch asap.

This is a diss at the strategy.

It misses clear buys and sells and buys way too late and sells way too late.
In my testing of about a week it would have lost me considerably, especially with the stop loss activated.

The bolling band bot works alot better but still not that great.

This market is a very bearish market so thats perhaps the reason why the EMA bot does so poorly.
Anyone else has other experiences?

The strategies work differently in various market conditions and also work better or worse in different time scales.
Some strategies are more suited for shorter and some for longer time scales. To discuss strategies you might want to have a look at  https://margin.de/resources/tutorials or the community slack:

We are again targeted by scammers which are trying to mimic our website.
Please be cautious and only download software from https://margin.de and no other website. Thanks!

Hey guys, any chance for Robinhood support? Zero trading fees would be awesome!

We will look into it! Just contacted them and looking at the sparse API documentation now Wink

Thanks for the suggestion.

  Rene
I am somewhat concerned about their KYC policy, while they claim they have achieved the highest rating "Level3" from NewYork state they have only done so buy excluding all citizens of New York state! They also exclude Japan. Hmm..

Afaik they pretty much operate US only. Does anyone have experience with crypto trading on Robinhood? We are well aware that you don't have access/can't withdraw funds from them. Could be an interesting addition to the margin platform nonetheless.

4 Days later and again no Rasspberry Version, is this a never ending ARM Story?

Apologies. Yes, ARM is not integrated into our continuous integration process yet and this results in these issues.

We will manually build and upload a version ASAP.

Best wishes,
Jonathan

Good day,
is this bot working?
it makes auto profit using btc / usdt ? or what is the main features?

Hi!

Thanks for your interest.

We support 8 exchanges, 1500 cryptos, including BTC/USDT. The best way to get started in to watch a short overview video (the product overview one: https://margin.de/resources/tutorials) and then to download the demo and start playing around. The demo lets you do what's called paper trading - trade with fake money on live market data streams - and with margin's demo you can try out nearly all features including its bots.

Remember margin is not only a bot, but a full trading terminal. Its features include drag and drop orders, technical indicators, drawing tools, multi screen support, RSS feeds and Reddit integration...

All the best,
Jonathan

Is anyone else having issues with Binance not showing currency pairs in Leonardo? I can no longer log into Leonardo/Binance. Other exchanges seem fine. Multiple machines, osx.
They're down for maintenance (the announcement wasn't made until after they already shut down): https://support.binance.com/hc/en-us/articles/360006961751

Edit: They did a full wipe of all API keys. Ugh. Looks like we'll need to re-create them and re-register with Margin.

Yes, they have delete all API keys.
https://support.binance.com/hc/en-us/articles/360006669152

Please contact support@margin.de if you need help from us.

Pairs are still not showing which means their API is still down at present.

Best wishes,
Jonathan

When I minimize the window, the "time of windows" is reset for 30 minutes.
OS Windows 10 64-bit
Is there a solution to this problem?

Hmm, I tried this and it didn't happen for me.

Does anyone else have this issue on Win 10?

Hi everyone,

It looks like Binance is still down. They made this announcement a few hours ago

https://support.binance.com/hc/en-us/articles/360005098352-System-Upgrade-Extension

And on twitter they announced their upgrade was complete 10 minutes ago, but the API is currently still down.

Best wishes,
Jonathan
CZ made 4 apologies over a 10 hour period. This is a black eye all the way around. It is so hard for corporate and retirement account "institutional" money to flow into crypto when the biggest and the best keeps having the same problems. -They have got to do better!

Still some way to go apparently.

Binance announced another upgrade which starts in a few minutes.

https://support.binance.com/hc/en-us/articles/360005471352

Best wishes,
Jonathan
