Hi, this looks like temporary issues with the Bittrex API. Are you still having this issue on a regular basis? If yes, please send logs and screenshots to support@marginsoftware.deAll the best, Rene

@Jon,
Can you let us know if support for Bittrex API WEBSOCKETS support will arrive soon and/or when Leonardo is going to support Binance Exchange (websockets version)?
Bittrex API is pretty bad and I am seeing some lost trade opportunities because of it and I am thinking of switching to another exchange and Binance seems to be the more popular one for the moment.
As a side note I know that for most folks this doesnt matter but I compared bittrex api (non websockets) to Bitfinex (websockets) with the same one pair (LTC/BTC) for 30 minutes and with Bittrex Leonardo downloaded/uploaded 15Megs of data while Bitfinex only used 3megs for 30minutes.
Its no wonder Bittrex API is so slow and crappy. The bandwidth that it has to support must be humongous and thats why it gives out so many errors.
Bittrex does not have an official websocket API. Binance support is in development and will probably release in one of the next releases. All the best, Rene

Dear Leonardo team, I'm optimistic about the current update, though having difficulties here, but all for the best. Keep up!
I have been too until this crap starts happening. Margin support just got an email about this and I am losing my patience with this program. It's getting ridiculous.. How the hell am I supposed to run this when I'm not around when this shit happens? Like turned this on last night before bed and never got no where with it. Bullshit. Oh and before you ask yes i'm running the newest update 3.7.5 Been having troubles with this program for weeks and expected more from these updates. Now i'm just pissed off with it and soon going to give up on this team. That could very well be an api issue with Bittrex. I've heard of a lot of issues with Bittrexs' api from other customers. I was planning on switching to that exchange, but their api seems to be inconsistent. I don't have any bot issues on Poloniex, and I have updated to 3.7.5 as well. The only way I would switch some money over to a new marketplace is if leonardo team gives me the extra api for free. I am not giving up my Bittrex because of their shitty api. May switch margin programs. But not switching marketplaces unless drastically needs too. The thing is, if the problem is the usual slowness of Bittrex' API (which seems to be, from what you described), the fault is not within leonArdo, it's Bittrex (their infrastructure is probably not catching up with the huge increase in customers). About 1.5 months ago, I was also using Bittrex, but given its API slowness, I decided to switch to another exchange (and PAYED for the new license, which is more than fair, since that requires a whole new implementation, testing, support etc.). The difference was night and day, which means it was really the exchange. Before purchasing the new license and switching, I did a lot of research, and specially, tried the demo for the exchange in question. Now, of course each exchange has its pros and cons: Bittrex may be slower, but they have more coins, and for some the fact that they are US-based may seem safer (although if you research, every exchange out there has complaints, suspicions of fraud etc.). For me, though, during high loads it was impossible to trade with them, so I had to switch for something faster. Up to you to research, and weight the pros and cons. I never had this issue with bittrex api before though, it's all I use on leo. As I am agreeing with you 100% and as well to the leonardo team, this must be a bittrex api issue then. But bittrex has the coins I seek to buy. Not about to go to poloniex because of this issue. And thanks Leonardo team for expressing your frustrations as well and clearing this up for me. It's unbelievably frustrating as I enjoy bittrex's wide range of coins to buy. Hopefully binance support soon will help my personal endevour here as I really really like your team and your program. I am just frustrated when I can't leave it alone for a few hours by itself without issues. I will have to send a long my thoughts to bittrex about their api. Maybe they can shed some light if they are doing any fixes or updates to fix api issues in the future on their end. Thanks to all. Thanks for the kind words! We are doing everything to fix and improve any appearing issues in this quickly changing space as soon as possible. Also thank you guys for reporting and describing the API issues so that we can tackle them. We appreciate it! All the best, Rene

We have to deal with it with additional checks and workarounds as they emerge.

Are You seeing this from Bittrex? Log 01/06 12:44:54 pm bittrex:ETH/BTC: http error during chart data get call: [code: 4]: Timeout (the connection to the remote server timed out) 01/06 01:26:24 pm bittrex:ETH/BTC: http error during chart data get call: [code: 4]: Timeout (the connection to the remote server timed out)
01/06 01:28:29 pm bittrex:bot:RDD/BTC: [manual] Order 1946 placed successfully 01/06 01:33:55 pm bittrex:RDD/BTC: ticker data update failed (http error while getting ticker: [code: 4]: Timeout (the connection to the remote server timed out))
using IOS 3.7.4 and 3.7.5 Both showing the same error. BB not working! There seems to be some temp. issues with Bittrex. We are trying to catch as much of the API anomalies as possible, but as they are a moving target it is often not foreseeable. Logs and screenshots to support@marginsoftware.de are very much appreciated. All the best, Rene

Im interested in why it 'did not sell here' on your image. Tried the latest version with the BB fix, but last few hours it made one deal with -1.4% loss As far as I can tell, the settings to prevent this are correct? https://imgur.com/a/EwiKrHi, thanks for reporting it. Are you sure you did not restart the strategy with a large minimum effective gain that prevented the sell and then later lowered it to 0.1%? But we will look also into the sell criteria to see if there is a bug on our side. All the best, Rene Edit: This is not a bug. Please note that the buy/sell signal is only triggered when the top of the opposite order book intersects it. So for example if the bot is waiting to sell, the top of the buy side order book has to intersect the sell signal threshold. As for why it made a loss. This is because of the nature of spot (market) orders and in certain circumstances the spread. Once the spot order is triggered, it gets executed and if the order book is shallow or if there has been a rapid change in the order book the resulting trade can be displaced from the signal price. These can add up to give the result you saw. One thing you can do is to increase the Min effective Gain. Thanks for getting in touch. Jonathan
