@dev
First of all, hope you had a good Xmas.
I haven’t tried fully the newest strategy yet, so I cannot comment. However, it appears to be quite slow in terms of number of trades completed (even though the percentages are quite high).
I wonder whether there are other strategies planned in future releases. I would like to see RSI or macd strategies, which I believe to be easy to understand and set. Thanks.

Hi,

we plan to release more strategies and at a more frequent rate now.
We keep you guys updated on what's planned.

All the best,

  Rene

What is the minimum amount that appears in Leonardo wallet? currently have license with hitbtc and deposited a small amount to it ( about 90$ ) and even if it shows in hitbtc, leonardo shows 0.

Basically looking to test my Leonardo, but dont want to put a lot to it at the very beginning

Anyways, support is amazing, have never seen it before. I've got a full support late evening at 24 of dec wow! Keep it up Leonardo

Hi,

there might be trade minimum on the exchange. But your balance should show correctly though.
Can you submit a screenshot and description to support@marginsoftware.de?

All the best,

  Rene

Was going to buy it the other day, but I wasn't at home...goes up in price within 24 hours  Embarrassed

Same here, guess thats our Christmas present Sad

They informed the price change with many days in advance. Also, they released the new version with the BB bot *before* the price change, which was a nice gesture -- THAT was the real Christmas present. Existing customers got that without any additional cost, and new ones could get that at the old price many days before the change. But try the demo, you'll find that even the new price is still a bargain considering the app features.

am i missing something here ?
it comes with lifetime licence .. does that not include free upgrades to newer versions ?

The BB bot is available for all customers, new and existing ones Wink

All the best,

  Rene

just bought this ...
trading on HitBTC.
i'm getting invalid range on all of my coins XVG / XDN /DBG
i read this is blamed on the exchange minimum trade amounts however i do have the amounts needed. so i assume its either reading old data or its hard coded ? either way its unusable on all my pairs for any sales.. it buys ok but then won't sell.
not sure if minimum trade amounts have changed recently as new to this .
they are
XVG 1000
XDN 100
DBG 100
if this is hard coded it would be an idea to have an advanced override option within leonardo
on the buy option it allows the amounts . its just on sell it won't

also as someone else mentioned much earlier in this huge thread tooltip text is overlapping on boxs

Hi,

Are you trading close to the minimum maybe? Could you report the issue to support@marginsoftware.de with screenshots and logs attached?
We will then have a look, but it might take a little longer over the holidays as you guys are us to.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays,

  Rene

I'm still unfortunately having the issue where I get a runtime error and the bot stops. I can only run it for maybe 2 hours before it crashes.

Hi,

if you still have the issue, please report it to support@marginsoftware.de with screenshots and logs.
And please be a little patient it is Christmas time, thanks Smiley

All the best,

Another strategy could be when EMAx & EMAy crossing... Please team, think about it ...
Merry Christmas!!!

Sorry for my broke english

The new release comes with a re-written bot framework so that adding new strategies became more efficient.
Meaning we expect to release new strategies more quickly now!

Merry Christmas and happy holidays!

Does it run well on raspberry ?
Is 1GB RAM enough for many pairs/exchanges ?

I have installed version 3.7.3 on a raspberry and have been running for 2 days without crashes problems.

I have been using the BB strategy in Bittrex and in some coins it has worked well for me, in others it has not been able to put the buy order once the signal is triggered. Right now I'm doing tests in realtime. As I experiment, I will be sharing with you to provide feedback on the behavior of the software and help us.

Hi,

we just added beta raspberry support. Happy to hear you guys experiences.
Of course as the raspberries resources are limited you can't expect the same performance an i7 would offer but we saw some decent performance on a couple pairs in parallel.

All the best,

  Rene

Guys already asked but got no response. Is it possible to run leonArdo in headless mode on a Debian/Ubuntu server?

Hi,

for now you can run it on a VPS and connect to the VPS via VNC/rdesktop.
In the future we might also add a real remote mode Smiley

Notice regarding the Bollinger Band Bot

Please note that the new Bollinger Band bot is in beta and we advise you to not trade with large amounts with it until all issues have been resolved. It turns out in certain circumstances when bad data is delivered by exchange APIs that its new spot order type can be triggered erroneously. In a subsequent patch release we handled one such case but there may be more.

Another thing to note is that although there is stop loss available on the bot, there is no Min Effective Gain which given certain parameters and market conditions can mean that sometimes a loss making cycle is executed by the bot.

We broke our necks to get this release out and that coupled with record numbers of new customers means I have to give allow my team a break over Christmas so that we can come back strong after the holidays and make all the improvements and, indeed, introduce new features going forward.

All the best,
Jonathan

I was thinking of buying but the price increased today?

well seems a good software and good support.

Can i have a discount?  Grin

Sorry, but we announced the increase beforehand. Maintaining a good level of support and putting out new features requires a lot of effort.
We think the price is still a pretty good deal so we can't give you a discount.

Hi,

I seem to be facing the same problem.

It seems to be buying and selling at the selling threshold.

https://imgur.com/a/etzat

Also, would it be possible to enable a negative stop loss sale? that would allow for a minimum effective gain.

Merry Christmas.

Warm regards,
Wabbits

Yes, we definitely need a Min Effective Gain % parameter.

Please remember the BB bot is in beta so use with caution for now until we iron out any potential issues.

Thanks for your support guys.

Merry Christmas to you all,
Jonathan

Update patch version 3.7.3 available

We had to fix another couple of issues.

  • We fixed a critical issue that caused the BollingerBandStrategy to place spot orders if certain erroneous messages were received from exchange APIs.
  • The ARM version is now shipped as a tarball and you execute leonArdo by running the run-leonardo.sh script that's in there, just as with the "normal" x64 Linux version. This should allow it to run on many more platforms. For more details see this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1467939.msg26784201#msg26784201

Click on the "update available!" link on the leonArdo login screen to download this new version.

Please note that this issue still exists in the demo version of leonArdo.

Sorry about any inconvenience caused.

Thanks,
Jonathan

I'll contact you in the next few minutes.

There's an update for everyone using the ARM build. We now decided that just shipping the naked binary is too fragile for such a heterogeneous ecosystem as ARM. So here's the new way to run leonArdo on ARM:

Code:
wget http://marginsoftware.de/downloads/leonArdo-arm.tar.xz
tar xvJf leonArdo-arm.tar.xz
cd leonArdo-arm/
./run-leonArdo.sh

Hope this fixes things for those of you who were running Ubuntu for ARM. In addition to the Raspberry Pi, we also tested this on the Banana Pi M3, for those of you who want a bit more oomph. As before, please share any experiences you have on these systems or any other!

The bollinger band strategy doesn't work well for me. Make purchases and place sales orders at lower prices almost immediately, when the signal is clearly showing that the selling price may be much higher.
This has happened to me with two different currencies.

I'm on bittrex running leonardo on the raspberry.
In the picture illustrates what is happening. Here you can see that the signal to put the sales order did not match the red line of the signal.

Is that a bug? does that happen to anyone else?

In this particular case it would seem like the trade was actually coming from the second strategy that is not shown. I'm suspecting this because the last trade was a buy and the bot is waiting for a buy signal. Would the settings of the second bot make the trades more plausible then?

Thanks for the reports about odd behavior of the new BB bot. We're looking into it! A couple of things you can do when reporting such behavior that would help us a lot:

  • only run one strategy at a time per currency pair so it's clear which strategy placed the orders
  • when taking screenshots, include the price-aligned order book on the right
  • also, show the list of completed trades
  • send the report to support@marginsoftware.de so we directly have it in our ticket system
  • attach the complete log of the currency pair

We'll keep you posted on what we find!

Apparently I'm running raspbian so shouldn't it work?

"Distributor ID:   Raspbian
Description:   Raspbian GNU/Linux 8.0 (jessie)
Release:   8.0
Codename:   jessie"

I tried installing as you said but nothing found.... did you install with apt-get?

So first of all, we've been using Raspbian 9, not 8. So if upgrading is an option for you, that might be worth a shot. Apparently it is possible to upgrade without reinstalling but I haven't tried it personally. If you don't have anything else on that RPi, it might be easier to just use a new image.

Either way, could you paste the exact error message you're seeing? Is it still the "libQt5Svg.so.5: cannot open shared object file" even after doing a sudo apt-get install libqt5svg5? Or is it more something along those lines:

Code:
./leonArdo.arm: /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libQt5WebSockets.so.5: version `Qt_5' not found (required by ./leonArdo.arm)
./leonArdo.arm: /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libQt5Network.so.5: version `Qt_5' not found (required by ./leonArdo.arm)
./leonArdo.arm: /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libQt5Core.so.5: version `Qt_5' not found (required by ./leonArdo.arm)
./leonArdo.arm: /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libQt5Gui.so.5: version `Qt_5' not found (required by ./leonArdo.arm)
./leonArdo.arm: /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.22' not found (required by ./leonArdo.arm)
./leonArdo.arm: /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libQt5Widgets.so.5: version `Qt_5' not found (required by ./leonArdo.arm)

If it's the latter, I'm afraid this can't be fixed by just installing some packages.

leonArdo 3.7.0 released

AWESOME! Wink I updated my install right away .... and found a evil bug preventing it from being usable at all. Sad

I have manuall set up a sell order for ETH/BTC on bitfinex .... but leonardo is not updating the values of the wallets _at all_.

I canceled an sell order for IOTA/BTC to test the BollingerBand Strategy and ... the same effect, changes in the wallets are not recognized at all Sad

I have 16 pairs opened (yeah i know, it's a lot) ... and it needed right away nearly 90 ~ 120 seconds to initialize all markets and wallets at startup .. which seems to be a long time but is completely ok at all - it's a lot of data to initialize at startup.

But, that there are no more updates on the amounts of coins in any of the wallets, is a very very bad thing and means exactly, that i can not do _anything_ useable. Sad Sad

Greetings,

hacky

Edit:P.s.: I just canceled a ton of buy orders on each an every coin i had open over night ..... and still no changes in the wallets in leonArdo Sad
Edit2:P.p.s.: Tried it again, only seven pairs open. Manual sell order for ETH/BTC, no change in the wallets/funds. Sad

Thanks for spotting this and bringing it to our attention Hacky!

The fix is in now.

Best wishes,
Jonathan
