Hi, I'm new to linux and want to try the linux version but have no clue how to install it (hence WINE) can you show me please?
Just download the linux version here: http://www.marginsoftware.de/downloads.htmlunpack the zipfile and then just run the run-leonArdo.sh and you should be ready to go Just tested and left it going overnight and no crash I started 4 currency pairs with Bittrex used the default settings of margin trading. Couple of questions... On all 4 currency pairs it only made 1 buy and 1 sell before stopping. How can I prevent this and have it to continue trading? On 3 of the trades it sold for less than the purchase price. How can I prevent this from happening obvously I don't want it to sell for less than the purchase. I would rather hodl than sell if possible. Thanks for helping >> On all 4 currency pairs it only made 1 buy and 1 sell before stopping. How can I prevent this and have it to continue trading? This happened because stop-loss kicked in. Stop-loss lets you tell the bot the max loss you are willing to accept and when the course drops it will kick in to ensure you only lose that amount. You can switch off this option if you expect the course to bounce back again. The other parameter you need to watch for when using the mArgin maker bot is the Min Effective Gain % parameter. This ensures the bot will make the gain you want it to make. If for example you set this to 1% it will make sure the sell price is at least 1% higher (taking trading fees into account) than the buy price was - and vice versa. Another possibility is to use the static ping pong bot and explicitly set fixed buy and sell prices. Let me know if you have any other questions. Best wishes, Jonathan Cheers for the reply and help Jonathan. Can you show me where to turn off the stop loss in version 3.3.0 You just need to check box stop loss , you will good to go with or without stop loss option. There is no box labeled 'stop loss' in version 3.3.0. Is the software able to make new trades while holding the old ones? If so how please. Example stock buy @100 > falls to 75 > buy @75 falls to 50 buy @50 > rises to 80 sells 2nd buy @80. No, you are right, stop-loss only arrived in our last 3.4 release. There is no way with version 3.3 that a bot could have sold for less than it bought unless the Min Effective gain was set to a minus value. Both current bots are swing trade bots that switch from a buy/sell state to a sell/buy one. They cannot do what you described there. We will be bringing out a host of new bots in the fall. Best wishes, Jonathan

Hey Jonathan! Hope all is well with you. Can you tell me. More a out the history annotation strategy? How does it work? Loving the SL. keep up the good work!
Hey mafia, Great to hear from you! The strategy history annotation basically shows you exactly what the bot did. It shows when it bought, sold, switched action, cancelled and replaced an order etc. Even when it triggered a stop-loss and stopped. Best wishes, Jonathan
About an hour ago, all of my coin pairs "lost" the market history and now the charts are basically blank, except the last hour. I tried getting rid of all the files in the .leonardo directory, but that did not fix it. Even after I started a fresh Bittrex session.
I can't reliably manually trade without a market history in a chart!
If the market history was gone, then the API was not delivering it. I checked and it's all there for me. Is it still an issue? What do the logs say? Let me know, Jonathan

Seems I found a bug - or I'm doing something incorrectly. Started default demo session on Poloniex with 3 currency pairs: ETH/BTC, BTC/USDT, ETH/USDT. Started margin trading on ETH/BTC with BUY - ok, going fine. Started marging trading on BTC/USDT and ETH/USDT with SELL (since I had no USDT). Completed sells, but margin trading stops: cannot buy, as while from these sells I should have more than 800 USDT (confirmed on the trade logs), the system thinks I have only 0.00019951 USDT, as shown in the "Funds" on the top of the screen, and when clicking the "wallet" icon (which is obviously why it can't buy anything).
Hmm, is the money not held up in the buy order the bot placed? Can you confirm you have no buy order? Confirmed no buy order. In fact the strategy even stopped on its own, apparently because it couldn't place the buy order due to insufficient funds. Strange. I tested it and it worked for me. Will look into it some more.
Can anyone who had issues on Linux please download the latest version and try again. We fixed an issue that affected some distributions. Does it work now with Raspberry? Could you ask Raspberry community to help you to create Raspberry/Raspbian version? We will defo look into this. It is just a matter of finding the time...
