201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a generous gamblers on: February 29, 2024, 02:23:46 PM
I am not a generous gambler and I can never become one. If I lose the money that I am using to gamble, no one will help me. So why should I win and think of my neighbors or friends? I can not do that. In fact, I bet with little amount of money and if I win I win little amount of money that is not even enough for me not to talk of it to be enough for my friends and people around me. Not that I am stingy but I am not a generous gambler.

I pinned this, and it's true why will one be a generous gambler when he finally hits losses and problems who will come to my aid .
I was once a generous gambler but certain things changed me, because they said once bitten twice shy.whenever I gamble and win I share my earnings with family and friends a lot times but I came to understand that when I needed help they don't come through for me

Sometimes it's just my immediate family that look out for me but nevertheless I still be that generous but one-day I had a rethink about everything and made a new decisions not to share my earnings anymore to people that don't worth it,so this was how I learnt not to be too generous as regarding earnings from gambling.

Every person has their own way of sharing. For me, I am generous when I win in gambling, and I don't mind if those people I share my wins with will change in the future. What's important is now, the present. Whenever we are happy, we like to share it with our friends, especially our family. So personally, I do it without seeking a return. Besides, it's not every day; it's only on an occasional basis when I win in gambling.
202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 29, 2024, 01:14:38 PM
They maybe feel relax for thinking that they have the momentum of the game since Lakers really struggle at early quarter. But suddenly the situation change and they been choked by Lakers lose in that game. If they continue to be like that where they are inconsistent until the end of the game then provably they can't go anywhere with that.

They are not relaxed; it's just that the Lakers got the momentum, and they made better plays in the last quarter to secure the victory. Big comebacks from a huge deficit are not new in the NBA; this season, I've seen a lot of games already. The same thing happened to the Warriors when they were up by like 20 points, but they allowed the Clippers to come back and win. Leonard was out in that game, while PG fouled out in the 4th with 3 minutes remaining in the game.
But let see if they could adjust on situation and find good solution on the lapses they made on their game against lakers. After all Clippers still doing great and they do good adjustment recently on their roster rotation since we see it works well.

Maybe they will just let the guy rest and activate him on playoffs.
That is still counted as one loss. I think I'll continue backing them until they start winning again, this team had figured out how to win already, for sure next game they'll win because they'll be hosting the Wizards
203  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price is rising faster and faster, It is time to Buy Bitcoin ! on: February 28, 2024, 09:39:10 PM
Bitcoin price is rising faster and faster, It is time to Buy Bitcoin now before it is too late !
Well, I'm done already. Just been holding right now waiting for the new ATH. For those who have not yet, better not to go with the FOMO. There is expected some correction, that will be our last chance. I'll be expecting too much optimism and increasing demand due to FOMO but we don't rush instead buy with caution.

Is bitcoin price going to be above the $100 K end of the next 6 months ?

If it does, its mean it will cross  $150K by 25 December 2024.
Even though the price of Bitcoin is currently at $60k now, we can't still say $150k or $100k is possible this year. Maybe I was wrong but IMO, that is too far from happening. I'm not expecting that high and I was not expecting the previous ATH will be double this time, not even that early this year.
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: On a scale of 1-10, how confident are you in your holdings? on: February 28, 2024, 08:55:11 PM
Supposedly, it should be 10/10 as it was our choice and we chose to invest and hold that coin/s because we trust it and are confident that it will give us profit in return. If we think we are not on that level, then why we chose that coin? Better sell them if we don't have such level of confidence and invest another.
As I was holding ETH, I was 100% confident that I would never regret it later. Besides, I have no reason to do that either knowing that this project is been known for its potentiality and has been playing some important roles in the crypto space which certainly stay long and continues to grow.
205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Do You See Losing Your Weekly Payment to The Casino on: February 28, 2024, 01:11:24 PM
How do you see losing your payment to the casino?

Do you see losing your payment back to the casino as your own form of indirect support for the project?

Not for me, but just to convince myself and not feel bad about losing, I might think that way. Lol. Honestly, I think we just need to be realistic here; losing our earnings from the campaign is already ours. We worked for it, so we should take care of that money. However, if you have a job or another source of income and you feel that what you earned is just a small amount, and you are just having fun contributing to the forum and getting rewarded, then you might not feel bad. At least your main income is safe.

Do you think that I already have a bad gambling mindset thinking that by engaging in one or two bets or games I am supporting the project I promote?
That's not a bad mindset IMO, in fact that's a good one as it's your way of supporting the casino you are promoting. What's bad is if you are not anymore enjoying what you are doing, besides, we are not oblige to gamble even if we are promoting a casino.
206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jason Moloney vs Reymart Gaballo WBO Bantamweight Title (May 12) on: February 28, 2024, 11:49:49 AM
If Gaballo sees this as a huge opportunity to make a name for himself, he will try his best and he will be motivated to fight Moloney at his very best condition. But if he won't change his boxing skills and let this chance slide, then his career in boxing will probably be over because no one has recovered from and back to his shape except a boxer who already established a name in the Industry. an unpopular boxer like them should have high aspirations to exert all their effort to win like Manny was in his prime, as we can see, most of these new boxers are all the same, they seem not to take this huge opportunity as a chance to train well and give the fans the best of themselves when they step inside the ring.

I think the Philippines has a lot of talented boxers, but they lack facilities and support from the government. Boxing is a sport where we could excel, but it seems there's not enough budget to motivate our boxers. While we've had champions in the past, maintaining this consistency is very important as Manny had already lifted us up. With the current standing of the Philippines in the world of boxing, it appears we are declining, which is not a good sign for our future. I'm afraid we might not see entertaining and successful boxers like Manny and Donaire anymore. These 2 were the best in their eras, but Manny is a legend, making him different.

It's declining as the Japanese is taking the boxing world right now and it has been said that it is now their golden years. Similar to the Philippines before, when Manny Pacquaio and Nonito Donaire was at the top. But after both are now retired, no one has carried the torch for the Philippines as they suffer defeat after defeat.
That's the sad reality, but we have to accept that it has really happened. However, it's not all the time that we will stay at the bottom. We have these young prospects that I saw being shared by our vloggers, and I'm surprised by them. The one I remember was Fajardo; that was his last name. I'm hoping to see his name on the list of champions in the future.

Hopefully Gaballo will be the one that will bring the championship again to the Philippines. But the competition is though against Moloney. Jason has the experienced and all the advantage as it will be held in his country.

No question that he is a great boxer but I don't see him being a special one. However, I believe that the quality of Moloney is not hard for him to beat, so I'm rooting for him.
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do low fees matter most in choosing crypto platforms, or other factors? on: February 27, 2024, 09:33:21 PM
When choosing a cryptocurrency platform, do you prioritize seeking out those with lower transaction fees, or do other factors such as security, user interface, or available features take precedence in your decision-making? Share your perspective below and let's discuss the key considerations within our community!

Not at all, as it was very important to consider their reputation first before anything. Yes, it is the security of our funds that matters the most, or else, we are taking a high risk and the possibility of losing our funds right after the deposit. That is why it is necessary to conduct research first before making any transactions. Perhaps, it was highly recommended to use only reputable and known exchange platforms rather than trying new ones to avoid scams. Taking extra caution saves us from losing our money and we should not neglect doing this all the time knowing that there are a lot of fake/scam platforms online.

209  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bull has Started But Not Yet ATH. on: February 26, 2024, 09:28:18 PM
There is a misconception for some people in regards to price movement...
For newcomers, when they see the price of Bitcoin going high, they will then think of ATH but when it drops, they will then think of collapse. Honestly, there are a lot of market experts that create confusion for some individuals.

Currently, we are in a bullish state but yes, not yet ATH. The ATH is not been seen yet when it comes but probably it happens after halving. So many speculations arise that it will happen this year and next year but that is uncertain. But it doesn't matter when it comes as long as we invest and are ready for such a big event in the market.
210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why People Have Different Perception Of Gambling Operators on: February 26, 2024, 12:38:54 PM
When we are making discussions about gambling, everyone has the right in making the choice of what they want and prefer, there are times that it is our own personal decisions that are of interest to us unlike the ones received as suggestions from others, we can also go for what we have passion for, know about and understand very well, since it is believed that gambling is a form of having entertainment, we can make decision on where to use and how to go about it, this could also be affected by the environment we are living in and the kind of gambling games that are predominant there.
Of course, who would gamble if we are not enjoying what we are doing? We want the thrill, and gambling gives that to us. I mean, there are other types of entertainment, but gambling is for people who love to take a higher risk. We are risking money to win money, and not everyone can do that, as some don't want to take a higher risk or consider gambling as a sin.

Perception doesn't matter at all; we are responsible on our own. We live how we want and don't mind what other people would say. As long as it's gambling, it doesn't matter what type of gambling; it still belongs to one class, which means it should have the same perception from people.
211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Kambosos - May 12 IBF Lightweight Title on: February 26, 2024, 11:31:00 AM
Regardless, I am curious what's next to the winner. When the coward Tank Davis was given a free belt, I doubt there will be another undisputed champion in this division soon. Shakur is the best fighter in this division but because of his boring and unmarketable style, the other champions will have more reasons to just duck him.

It's in house money for Top Rank, I think Shakur is going to fight the winner of this fight. Tank will be well protected and I don't think they are ready to let him face either Loma or Shakur this year.

That would be nice to see Loma ( a possible winner ) vs Shakur fight. it's the technical fighter vs a slippery fighter. It's not new to Loma since he had already fought Haney which I believe have a similar style like Shakur but Shakur is much shorter than Haney, so probably that will give Loma an advantage to that. We don't have to worry about the possible revenue of this fight since alhough Shakur is boring, but Loma will make it interesting.

It is not only Shakur is shorter than Haney. Do not underestimate that in reality, Devin Haney is very much bigger than expected. His move to super lightweight might be thought as something similar to moving up to a heavier weight division. However, it should be something similar to moving to a weight division with his correct height and size hehehe. Some fans speculated that Prograis might win because he belonged in the higher weight division but in the ring it was very clear that the much bigger boxer was Devin Haney. He might also find a home on welterweight with in 5 years.

Some fans, yeah, but most of the fans believed he would not win. In fact, if we go back to the betting odds at that time, Haney was a clear favorite among the bookies, suggesting that he would win the fight. In fact, that's what happened. It wasn't a win that he had a hard time achieving, as it was just like a walk in the park for Haney. There's a huge difference in quickness, as Haney could easily hit Prograis and go back on his defense. Maybe his domination will continue, and I agree that he might move up sooner or later.
212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Kambosos - May 12 IBF Lightweight Title on: February 23, 2024, 07:00:09 PM
Loma cannot be too complacent about not getting a knockout win in Kambosos' country. Just to ensure a victory, he needs to KO him; otherwise, he might be surprised that he is very confident in the ring, thinking he'll win comfortably, but the judges saw it differently. Grin

People will never forget what they did to Pacman, and I hope it will not happen to Loma here since Kambosos has a similar style to Horn, who just loves to attack and throw a lot of punches. If judges count that and he survives the 12 rounds, unexpected things could happen. I'm pretty sure Loma's camp is well aware of that, so it's expected that their game plan is always ready to secure a clear victory.

Now, if I could ask, what would be next for Kambosos if he loses this fight? Would he rather retire or continue fighting against non-top boxers?
213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] David Benavidez vs. Olexandr Gvozdyk interim WBC Championship on: February 23, 2024, 06:27:47 PM
PBC will release Canelo if he ducks Benavidez but it was said also Canelo is to fight Munguia soon or Edgar Berlanga as Hearn said.

Benavidez is going to weigh himself for LW, it's his fight time and fighting a hard hitter such as Gvozdyk will also be risky for him and it's not sure if it's going to sell PPV. this is final?
I think this is final as it was announce by the president. However, as to your question if it's going to sell PPV, that's a tough question and it's quite uncertain since both boxers aren't really popular. If Benavidez would fight canelo, then sure the answer is very obvious that it will sell a lot of PPV subscriptions.

because Canelo refuses, Benavidez has to move on as waiting seems not an option for him. it's a big step up for Benavidez's career and i think he can beat Gvozdyk given that the fight will be in Sept.
What is with September? Do you imply about a long period of preparation fro Benavidez  to ensure he is ready for this challenge?
214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Knowing when to own your bitcoin on: February 23, 2024, 11:59:21 AM
This is actually encouraging to other newbies to accumulate bitcoin now and stop procrastinating, knowing the right time to buy bitcoin just depends on your choice cause after the bull market people still want to accumulate during the bear market and people like this intend to hold for 3_ 5 years. Holding bitcoin for long term is more beneficial.

Apparently, it was not necessary to know when to buy but doing this during the dip is the best time. Unfortunately, the current situation is not bearish anymore, we missed the chance to buy Bitcoin when it was just $25k-$30k. However, this never means that buying is over as we still have the chance to earn some profit even buying at $50k. We might thought it was expensive and too late already but ATH has not yet happened, if we can wait, we still make some.
A real investor doesn't think it is over but instead, they will think there is still a chance left. I don't think it was hard to wait and hold for a year if our goal is to earn more.
215  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should trading be for the rich? on: February 22, 2024, 09:31:36 PM
If you want to trade to become rich, you need big capital. if you don't have big capital, if you have great ability to analyze it accurately, you can also be rich. by trading using leverage this means if crypto future trading. because with future trading you can trade with more than the capital you have.
Increasing leverage also increases risk. that means what you trade can also be lost very quickly.
However, those who trade must have capital. and if we have little capital we trade, it is better to be patient to build our trade better gradually. There's no need to rush to get rich quickly or even target big profits by increasing leverage. This could result in losses rather than the expected profits.
Trading is risky in the first place and I assume that those who try trading are also willing to lose their money if happens (no regrets). Increasing leverage should be made when we feel confident and we already see that we are performing so well but if not, should stay on the usual amount we used.
As a trader, we must know how to determine if we need more capital or not. We must consider our situation before doing this just to ensure that we never make more losses instead of profits. Or else, forget about increasing capital instead of focusing on how to improve our performance first.
216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in Bitcoin, for long time Holding on: February 22, 2024, 08:55:49 PM
I don't agree OP that short-term investors face more losses than profit. We are talking about Bitcoin here, not altcoins, and aside from that, the price is volatile. If we can make a buy during correction and then sell when it pumps back, there are no losses but profit. Losses just happen when you are in a panic but if you can take control of your emotions and play the volatility of the market, you are totally making some money even more than those who hold long-term. It is the strategy, not the time. And besides, both of them may suffer losses if mismanaged.
217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do people truly risk their money on bets for profit? on: February 22, 2024, 05:55:31 PM
It's impossible that there are people who gamble without the intention of making money. They are crazy if there are people like that.
...

it's not impossible. there are some gamblers who gamble just for entertainment or to improve their friendships, for example in china, singapore, etc., there are quite a lot of people who gamble to be with their friends just to have fun and build their friendships. so never assume that all gamblers gamble just to make money, because not all gamblers are like that.

So they are just gambling to lose and have fun? I don't totally get it; why would you gamble without an intention to win? Isn't it more fun if you are winning in gambling as well? I mean, that should be the main goal while we are gambling, but we are different from professionals since we aren't focused on gambling.

If we have time, we do it and enjoy it, win or lose, we still enjoy, but we are human. We don't feel good when we lose since we won't gamble a small amount to get entertained; it should be an amount that we feel the thrill. And once we feel the thrill in gambling, we can be happy or sad based on the outcome of our gambling.
218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: February 22, 2024, 05:30:17 PM
Who cares in what shapes AJ is, when his biggest problem is his mental preparation to a fight. What is AJ biggest achievement since he regained his title from Ruiz? Top10 WBO Pulev? Or top9 WBA Franklin? Ranked 8th in IBF Wallin? The fact that he has won 3 fights after 2 losses to Usyk, who he admited he does not understand how to beat, does not make him prepared for a hungry shark like Ngannou. Cant say that AJ is great boxing technician. Probably their fight is going to be a copy/paste of Fury vs Ngannou, despite AJ not having chin out of stone.
I agree Joshua has a mental issue he was exposed in the Ruiz fight, it's hard to accept an undisputed champion to just give up the fight just like that, a true warrior will fight even if he gets knocked out he will fight to the end and will always believe that he can beat his opponent and that he only needs one clear shot, and on Usyk fights after he losses he acted like a child very unusual for a boxer of his stature.
A weak fighter pretending to be a strong fighter will always get exposed when a much stronger fighter comes out to hurt him, come fight night Ngannou will hurt him.
He was a champion, but there's no guarantee that a fighter will remain a champion; only a few have done that. AJ may have suffered a defeat from Ortiz, but in the rematch, he was able to reclaim himself, and that is more important. I think the champion that really has a rough journey now is Wilder because he lost to an unknown boxer, while AJ here is trying to get back to the top and is taking this journey to make that happen.
219  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A little ignorance and you can lose all your holdings on: February 21, 2024, 09:55:04 PM
Ohh, we'd consistently hear people lose their money from investing in Bitcoin but not realizing that they are not doing it right.
Yes, we can do nothing for these innocent people because it was not our responsibility to take care of their wallets and spoon-feed them. In fact, the moment they are investing in Bitcoin they are also aware of the risk situation and then help themselves to learn how to secure their funds but unfortunately, they just ignore it until the time has come.

Anyways, this mistake will not be over, not because people have also learned but because hackers are also improving their strategies. We need to be more cautious about our actions and make extra efforts to keep our wallets/funds safe.
220  Economy / Speculation / Re: A new ATH before halving. Is it possible? on: February 21, 2024, 09:17:49 PM
Honestly, I could say that we are too optimistic to think of an ATH before halving, that is impossible. I've been in the crypto space for quite some years and it never happens before halving but just after it. I don't think the market has totally changed now to say that a new ATH is possible next month. Optimism is great but too much is different and the result is desperation. I don't have a crystal ball to see the future of Bitcoin but possibly We're just about to wait for 1 year (possible) before seeing the new ATH. Just be patient people, it will come momentarily.
