201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Need suggest invest in small amount on: December 12, 2019, 02:33:19 AM
You have invested in two of the most popular coins today, namely BTC and ETH. You don't need to participate in IEO, you only need to hold it until the price is high.
When investors come to this market they seem to think that bitcoin or ethereum are not investments by themselves, they keep thinking about all of those exotic coins that they could buy that according to some people in social media can make them rich very easy and instead of holding their coins they use them to buy into those projects and we know the consequences of that, they exchange their valuable coins for coins that most likely will never get any value.
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is now the right time to buy altcoin? on: December 12, 2019, 02:15:57 AM
If you have the patience for long term holding, then current low prices are a good chance to buy good coins at cheap prices. It is safer to buy top ranked coins.
While it may seem that buying some of the top ranked altcoins for the current prices could be a good business decision at the same time you cannot really forget that during this year even if those coins recovered somewhat against fiat they lost value against bitcoin, for those that do not understand this basically means that if you were holding bitcoin you could have made more profits by holding your bitcoin than by holding your altcoins, and I do not know about you but I do not think it is a good decision to hold altcoins that give you a greater risk of losing your money and then obtain even less profits than what you could obtain with bitcoin.
203  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Long Term VS Daily Trading on: December 12, 2019, 01:51:29 AM
actually trading last year and now is very different. if you know about trading before 2017 it will be safe if it is better to choose the long term or as a holder. but for now, I personally choose the short term when there is an opportunity to take a profit. considering it is rather difficult to get a profit with a percentage that is far away. then prepare your capital when the is price go down

It depends on the kind of trader that you are, if you are a day trader then the overall market conditions do not really matter that much, your profits will be very similar regardless of the market conditions, but if you are a swing trader then the conditions of the market affect you greatly because if the price of bitcoin does not go up at least for a few days then it is going to be impossible for you to obtain profits, and the ones that are affected the most are those that are long term traders or investors because they are the ones that hold their coins the longest.
204  Economy / Speculation / Re: The 2020 Next Bitcoin Halving vs The 2016 One on: December 12, 2019, 01:30:45 AM
I think this time the value of bitcoin has also increased dramatically when bitcoin halving came. because most sharks are mining bitcoin and they hold quite a lot of it. The last sell-off I think they are holding a lot of USDT and wait until the halving news started to influence, they will soon push bitcoin to a high price. The crowd will follow and continue to drive bitcoin even higher. This is a pretty good conspiracy theory that I read from a blogger on the Steemit forum.
I do not really believe in conspiracy theories the halving is going to have an effect in the price of bitcoin but many are expecting that this effect is going to happen immediately and the market despite its volatility doesn't move that fast, it is going to take a lot of time for us to see the effects of the bitcoin halving, if you are a short term trader then you need to be very patient and wait for your opportunity but if you are a long term trader then you have nothing to worry about except to hold your coins.
205  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where you take inspiration when you tired from trading? on: December 12, 2019, 01:08:34 AM
Although market never rest, trader need rest. I think technology nowadays really help people because there are a lot of apps in playstore that can help us to see the price of a coin in market, or maybe in phone we can open the market if only want to see how was our order although not in front of PC.
A tired trader is an ineffective trader, I know that day traders would like to look at their screens 24/7 but that is simply not possible, so the best thing to do when we are tired is to take a rest and do something we enjoy a lot, that way you will recharge your energy and you will be fresh to trade the markets in no time at all, just make sure that whatever you enjoy does not consume even more of your energy as it will be impossible to trade if you are even more tired after you attempted to relax.
Catching up with other things that gives you some relaxations will help you to strive back, most short term traders stress itself whenever they've seen that the market is not favoring their position in order to lessen the burden they've needed to find some other activities to freshen their mindset and recreate another strategy. It's best to find additional activities that will keep your mind active will be more helpful to keep adjusting for the best outcome of your business inside trading.
It is important to try to take a break not only when you are tired but also when you suffer an important loss, it is very common for traders after a big loss to try to trade once again in order to recover their money immediately and they do this even when they know that they have no chance of making money in the markets, and when that happens the best thing that you can do is to stay away from your computer and from your trading account and try to do something else.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will There Really Be An Altcoin Season or Just a plot to Keep us in the Loop on: December 11, 2019, 04:43:15 AM
While our altcoins keep depreciating in value daily as we keep vigil for altseason, bitcoin dominance has crossed 70% and keeps growing in strength. Will there really be an altseason.

Kindly read -
https://medium.com/bull-bitcoin/alt-season-scamming-noobs-since-2013-71bd19410d98
Forget about conspiracy theories about the whales manipulating the price of altcoins to keep us interested, that is not what it's happening, altcoins are not going up in value for a very simple reason investors have learned a long time ago that you are taking an immense risk if you invest in any altcoin, a risk that they are not willing to take any more after they have suffered tremendous losses at the hands of altcoins, it is understandable that no one likes this but that is the reality of the market.
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 5 Ways to earn crypto without investing or mining on: December 11, 2019, 04:23:54 AM
The easiest way to get crypto is of course a gift, because you don't need capital. Meanwhile, if from trading and investing it must use capital first. But in my opinion everyone has different opinions. It is possible for some people an easy way to get crypto is from trading if he is already proficient in trading.
But in order to begin trading you need capital and to have great skills as a trader, something that the majority of people do not have, it is better that people stick to the most simple of the methods which is to get a job, save as much money as you can and then use that money to buy the coin that you like the most which in the majority of the cases that should be bitcoin and if you are feeling like taking risks you could try to buy a few other coins, but if you do this only use a very small amount of your capital.
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoiners now is your chance on: December 11, 2019, 03:56:45 AM
With the current altcoin situation, people can choose between buying or not at this time. Everyone has their own choices to determine when the right time to buy altcoin. At the moment altcoin is indeed being cheap in the market, if you believe that in the future the altcoin season will arrive, then now is indeed the right time to buy altcoin. But if you are not sure, you can do an analysis first before deciding to buy it.
People always concentrate on whether or not the coin that they are buying is cheap but that doesn't matter what it matters is if the coin in which you are interested in investing is going to go up in value in a short amount of time, altcoins can be very cheap and I can see that, am I going to buy any altcoin at the moment? The answer is no, because there is no chance at all that altcoins are going to go up in value anytime soon despite their low price.
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altseason soon or not ? on: December 11, 2019, 03:30:08 AM
Hi there,

I personally think Altseason is starting soon. We have been in a bear marker for such a long time and Alt season is lurking.

BTC dominance is trapped in a descending triangle for a long time now. Testing the support and resistance trendlines multiple times.
I'm sorry to say this to you put the bear market is just starting, I do not think that it is going to last as long as the previous one but you cannot really expect that after a very good year we're going to see an altcoin season especially when most of the coins in the market are really bad, why investors are going to put their money in any of those coins, it simply doesn't make sense, an altcoin season will eventually come but not anytime soon.
210  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much can bitcoin cost in Future. on: December 11, 2019, 03:07:59 AM
Making predictions in this voltile market is easy as you can say the price can cross $15k or so on but making real judgements is very difficult or say its impossible as prices fluctuates very fast depending on the current market environmemt. But if you have asked for speculations then according to me next year halving could have positive affect on prices and push the prices above $15-$20k by the end of 2020 with normal corrections coming in between so just wait for actual time of pumps.
I find that to be unlikely, it seems that many investors are expecting a very positive year but I do not really agree with it, we are clearly in a very strong bearish trend and we'll require the market to get out of it before you can see any kind of the spectacular growth, and while it may seem that the halving could be the answer to the prayers of many investors the effects are not going to take place as fast as many people imagine and will take a lot of time before they materialize.
211  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traders who never bother to learn how to trade on: December 10, 2019, 05:02:16 AM
Humans tend to make mistakes as well but what makes them different is their ability to learn from their mistakes and improvise.
The ones who don't learn from their mistakes eventually end up landing in trouble.
I agree that people should to trade as soon as they can so that make mistakes and improvise quickly.
But why do you have to learn from making mistakes? Why you have to enter the market and make all kind of mistakes and lose money because of them when you could read a few books and avoid most of them? Also I am not really a big fan of improvising when it comes to your trading, for what I have seen the most successful traders know very well when they want to enter the market, when they want to get out, why they are making that trade, how much money they are willing to risk and what are their chances to win that trade, they leave nothing up to chance and they do not improvise at all.
212  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2020? on: December 10, 2019, 04:41:36 AM
The only thing I see in 2020 is more people will be aware of Bitcoin and Blockchain. Lately I see a lot of seminars and training about Blockchain and Bitcoin. That will surely help people to know more about Bitcoin and its purpose and not only about the scams were Bitcoin was used. In Singapore alone, almost every month there is an event that is related to Bitcoin or Blockchain. The most anticipated one is the Blockshow. Not sure about the schedule next year but it was successful for the past 2 years even when the ticket price is high.
That is great and I'm happy to know that cryptocurrencies are growing all over the world especially bitcoin but that is not going to be enough to bring enough people to this market to make the price to go up and even more importantly to bring adoption to the levels that we want, I'm really thinking that the only way in which people are going to adopt cryptocurrencies massively is if during the next years we begin to see an economic crisis so big that they have no option but to try something like bitcoin.
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How NOT To Get Scammed on: December 10, 2019, 04:15:57 AM
I know it might sound cold but I have to admit that reading up on the sob stories of others tends to help me stay more grounded and coutious, there is a telegram group fully dedicated to this, they forward sob stories from all over telegram into the Channel, sometimes even twitter and other platforms, if there is anywhere on the internet where someone lost money through Cryptocurrencies and the victim posts about it, it would be forwarded in the channel, seeing the failures cost by FOMO  has made me a much more cautious investor.
The best way to learn is not from your own mistakes but the mistakes of others, this will save you time and money and this is true not only in the markets but in every aspect of our lives, so what you are doing is not cold it is just a very smart thing to do since many people come to this market with the desire of becoming rich and most of the time the opposite happens to them, and this should be a lesson to all of us there is not really a fast path to becoming rich, if you want that to happen to you then you need to work really hard for it.
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is the market currently being manipulated? on: December 10, 2019, 03:54:11 AM
now is the last time the Whales buy cheap btc. that's why the market was deliberately manipulated to make the price of bitcoin go down. and after that they pump slowly to look like market growth.

so what do you think, is my thinking wrong?

I'm sure there is some manipulation, but I think it can be overstated. Small coins can be manipulated easily, but it takes a lot to manipulate bitcoin significantly. Yes I think whales are trying, but I don't think that they can do more than give BTC price a small nudge.
But you are making the assumption that the whales are trying to use fiat to manipulate the market, the whales of this market are holding bitcoin and regardless of the price of bitcoin in fiat they still have the same amount of bitcoin, which means that early adopters that have tens of thousands or even more coins can move the price as they wish by manipulating the supply and the demand of bitcoin, however that manipulation is not really an excuse to not make money in the markets.
215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: After years in this space...I am now a BTC/ETH maximalist (Both are important) on: December 10, 2019, 12:28:44 AM
I've been in this space since 2014. I have always been a Bitcoin Maximalist.  Than 2017 happened, and it was hard not to chase altcoins.  After the hype died down, and the dust settled, I realized that there is room to be a BITCOIN/ETHEREUM Maximalist.  Every other project is a "me too," or a clone, or redundant, or vaporware.  The only two blockchains we need right now are Bitcoin and Ethereum...and we need BOTH! Not just Bitcoin anymore.

I love Bitcoin...LOVE it!  But when it really comes down to it, I use Ethereum in actual, practical use cases.  I recently bought something in USDC...which utilizes Ethereum.  Stablescoins, ICOs, IEOs, SEOs, Defi will be built on Ethereum.

I have fallen in love with Ethereum as hard as Bitcoin, and I see value in both.  Ethereum is extremely elegant, and may end up being more important in this space than Bitcoin one day.  It is the foundation of the Defi movement.

So there can be a category of people who consider themselves BTC/ETH Maximalists.
I am not surprised, bitcoin is without a doubt the leader of this market and the image as well, but if we were to think of any other coin that is very useful and has a lot of potential then ethereum is definitely that coin, besides bitcoin the only other coin in which I am invested is ethereum because I really think that despite its current weakness it will surely recover in the future and when that happens I am going to be ready holding some ethereum to take advantage of it.
216  Economy / Economics / Re: How does the US and China trade war affect bitcon? How do people think ? on: December 08, 2019, 04:17:36 AM
It could affect the economy, after all it is a trade war between two countries, but I seriously doubt BTC would be affected. BTC IS decentralized, not controlled by neither countries, so even if a trade war DID happen, nothing should happen and BTC should just continue on with its everyday transactions. It could increase the buyers and sellers of BTC though, but that's pretty much about it. The economic flow of BTC through the market should still basically be the same, before, during, and after the trade war.
Bitcoin does get affected by the economical changes of the world. Either it will gain value or lose some. When the existing money system will fail in helping people, then bitcoin would be the answer. By decentralized, it means that no one can claim to control or own it. And that is true because if it was possible, then the country with such power would have been the richest and definitely super power.

I don't think that Bitcoin is higly affected by economic changes. If you take into consideration that Bitcoin is decentralized than that makes sense. However, people beleive that Bitcoin is much more under influence of economy and politics that in fact really is and to my opinion US-China trade war doesn't affect Bitcoin significantly in term of price or demand.
People are going to try to find any link between the movements of bitcoin and what is happening around the world but as you say there does not seem to be any kind of correlation between what's happening with bitcoin and the trade war that we are seeing between the United States and China, I really think that the trade war is also being exaggerated since we are not really seeing anything that at least to me could tell us that the Chinese or the United States government will have any serious conflict in the future.
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Future of bounty campaign. on: December 08, 2019, 03:55:33 AM
There are other ways in which you can still good money from participating in bounty campaign with the use of your social media handle like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and the rest of them. Although, the forum is more learning environment about block chain and crypto currency and not mainly for money making purpose.
We need to try to be very objective here, there are many projects out there which you can join and try to make profits from participating in their bounty campaigns, however there is not really a huge amount of projects that are any good, so for the most part all of those that are doing bounties now are just wasting their time, the time in which you could join almost any bounty and make huge profits is probably never going to come back, anyone that still thinks that is the way to make good money should rethink his strategy.
218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin's price is disappointing!!! on: December 08, 2019, 03:07:43 AM
Altcoins have been in a severe bear market that has destroyed the faith of most investors, particularly the ones who invested in the last two years. But next bull market will be back soon and should be bigger.

It is after all a cycle of happiness and sadness. The following is an all-too-familiar emotions running in the Bitcointalk forum.

I think we are in step 14 with some remnants of 10, 11, and 13.
Every single time that I see images like that I cannot help but chuckle a little bit because it is so true, and you can see this especially in the speculation forum where people are making all kind of predictions about what they expect from the price of bitcoin, however when we take into account the most popular opinions that we hear in the forum I think we are a lot closer to the 7, 8 or 9 step in your graphic because I still see a lot of people that are very positive about the market outlook.
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins to go crazy again once Bitcoin reaches 20k? on: December 08, 2019, 02:50:00 AM
We will absolutely see altcoin recover when Bitcoin breaches its all-time high but I do not think we are going to see altcoin go crazy again because people tend to learn from their mistake, not to mention there might be regulation take place before we are seeing it in the future. I am not saying it impossible to happen but it is unlikely to happen considering how bad altcoins were these years.

Don't be so pessimistic!
remain optimistic about seeing that altcoin will go crazy again because people tend to learn from their mistakes, according to experts who said two years ago, that bitcoin will return to victory in 2020

Everyone is expecting the price of Bitcoin will be crazy in the year 2020, these predictions will be crazy once the price of Bitcoin is pumping. We don't know whether altcoin will increase or not we don't know because previously once the price of Bitcoin crosses more than 13000$, altcoins will bleed again in the market.

We still have to see if those predictions become true, I do not want to sound negative but whenever I see that the majority of the people in the market want something to happen most likely the market will react in the opposite way, many may think that this is because the whales are manipulating the market but that is because they do not really understand the markets and how they work, we need people to lose their money in order to have winners and if everyone is right in their prediction then no money can be made.
220  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't react to the fluctuations on: December 07, 2019, 02:40:18 AM
if someone understands the market situation, I think buying and selling at the moment is good. price is very volatile. movement is faster than usual. so making a scalping trade is better than waiting for the high bitcoin pump price. this is a trading strategy. so make a proper analysis. and start trading. Do not wait for the price of the pump. because you will be left behind.
While I recognize that the market conditions are better suited for short term traders and scalpers at the same time you are forgetting how difficult it can be to make any profits in markets that move so abruptly and anyone using leverage is at an even great risk since not long ago there was a huge green candle in the 1 hour chart and several hour later we saw a red candle with almost the same size, if you did not reacted then you were fine but anyone that tried to trade that probably lost money.
