1061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is ICO period long? on: May 14, 2018, 09:15:10 PM
Some poor quality projects often prolong the ICO's time to raise enough capital. But not all ICOs are of poor quality, depending on the purpose and timing of the project management team. I like to invest in ICO projects for about 2 months.
This is true there have been some projects that have reached the hard cap in a matter of minutes and when that happens people begin to complain about the fact that they did not got a chance to invest in that project, so it makes sense for icos to have very long periods to try to get the necessary investment so people do not complain about it afterwards.
1062  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How I handle crypto regret on: May 14, 2018, 09:10:12 PM
don't be too focus on the mistake that you are Made but you should focus how to Made that mistake as a lesson. Made a mistake is normal because we are human. If you feel regret about it, you should be able to improve your skill and knowledge, so you can avoid to make the same mistake.

Good advice mate. The problem with some people is that they do not make their mistakes as lesson but instead they do it again and blame other people why they are losing. Instead of changing themselves for the better, they would just turn to other people and blame others who are manipulating the market. We know that the market is full of manipulation but if we can have a strategy and be expert with it then we can eventually counter those problems in the market and make the odds in our favor.
This happens not only cryptocurrencies but in everything else, people instead of taking responsibility for their mistakes and trying to learn from them they always try to find an excuse or someone else to blame and when you do that there is not a possibility of personal growth anymore, this is why you see those people making the same mistakes over and over again.
1063  Economy / Speculation / Re: Just buy, please stop selling,i want to be rich!!! on: May 14, 2018, 07:52:38 PM
To me it makes no sense to get into the bitcoin game to turn around and sell when its going up and every time i look i made $100. Everybody knows that if we keep buying the value goes up,we sell it drops....STOP selling!!!! i wanna be rich,if you dont wanna be rich then please go play somewhere cause its starting to irritate me that some simple minded people keep selling off my riches...To anybody that feels the need to respond to this post and say anything other then common sense, please refrain from doing so...JUST BUY,LETS GET RICH!!!!

STOP SELLING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What you are saying is anything but common sense, it is true that in order to make money you need to hold your coins for a long time, you need to buy them and you need to keep them but at some time you need to sell, this is true especially right now since you cannot use your bitcoin directly as you can use fiat, you must understand that every person is completely free to take whatever choice they want with their bitcoin and you have no right to tell them what to do with their money, no one has that right not even Satoshi.
1064  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Criminals and Bitcoin on: May 12, 2018, 10:35:33 PM
of course the problem is not on blockchain or bitcoin, but in groups or individuals who abuse it, all we can do for crime, all currencies in all countries of the world including dollars can also be used for criminal acts, the problem is the person, not the tool or goods used, we do hear some people using bitcoin for illegal actions like money laundering and drugs, but many positive things we can do with bitcoin and blockchain system
True, what happens is that governments and the media want to play with the emotions of people, they want to scare them, they want that the first thing that comes to mind when people hear about bitcoin or cryptocurrencies is about crimes and bad things, and to a certain point they have been successful and that is why the adoption of bitcoin has not been as fast as we had expected.
1065  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reason why bitcoin won't last long (which are you afraid of?) on: May 12, 2018, 10:22:25 PM
After surfing through the good side of BItcoin I was asked to give reasons why bitcoin won't last by a friend I searched through the web and found the following

1: Exposure to Bitcoin-Specific Scams and Fraud.
2: Black Market Activity May Damage Reputation and Usefulness.
3: Susceptible to High Price Volatility.
4: No Chargebacks or Refunds.
5: Potential to Be Replaced by Superior Cryptocurrency.
6:Environmental Ills of Bitcoin Mining.
7: Bitcoins Are Not Widely Accepted.
8: Wallets Can Be Lost.
9: Risk of Unknown Technical Flaws
10: No Physical Form

Guess what non of those mentioned above was big enough to discourage my friend from joining Cryptocurrency (buying bitcoin).

Which of the following disadvantages are you afraid of and how do you think it can be resolved

The biggest disadvantage of bitcoin is its price, we do not have any kind of control over it but people see the high price of bitcoin and they prefer not to invest in it, and I cannot blame them even if I have a very strong faith in bitcoin I'm not so sure that I would like to invest with the price so high, I was lucky to enter the market when the price was below 1000.
1066  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bearish trend is over on: May 12, 2018, 10:05:02 PM
Oh, the author was wrong ...
To date, I believe and I hope that we have come out of the bottom. I expect pamp by the middle of June. But, as practice and history shows, this market is very unpredictable. I would very much like to break $ 10,000 in the near future
It seems that the OP got his correction wrong but who hasn't got some of his predictions wrong? The only thing that we can do right now is to wait for the market to recover, we are once again below 9000 let us hope that the price does not go below 8000 or even lower, while I'm pretty sure that bitcoin will recover its previous all time high there are many people that are losing faith amd are selling not understanding this and I would prefer that more people keep themselves invested in bitcoin.
1067  Economy / Economics / Re: A wise strategy for your bitcoin on: May 12, 2018, 09:50:16 PM
Hello everyone, I want to share about my strategy with bitcoin and I need your advice.
So the example is, I've buy bitcoin in price $2000/btc with amount $750 so I have 0.375 btc. When the price climb to $4100/btc, I sell my 0.184 btc to get my first capital and get $754.4 and 0.191 btc left .then when the price dump again to around $3900, I buy it again with my $754.4, so I get 0.193xxx btc and  my total btc is 0.384xx. With my $750 I can keep increase my bitcoin with this strategy. So what do you think. Am I doing right with my bitcoin? Or you have any advice. Please explain.
You have a nice strategy but for me since I do not have money for investments, what I did was to join some bounty campaign and signature campaign in order to earn bitcoins. Yes I did earn but my earnings are for the support of my children, I hope I can earn more so that I can have capital for bitcoin trading.
If you can find other ways to make money, depending only in bounty and signature campaigns for something as important as supporting your children is something that is incredibly risky especially if we take into consideration that cryptocurrencies can change the value very fast and while but but it sometimes that is going to benefit you we must recognize that sometimes the market goes down and that goes against your best interests.
1068  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to become a trader? on: May 12, 2018, 09:34:19 PM
Im a begginer for the trading but my friends that teach me how to join and how to work in trading sites. They said that you need to remove your emotions because emotion is the best enemy of a trader. And second is study the basic candle sticks it is need for the begginer.

For me, just feed yourself with reliable resources and advises coming from experts or accredited training course. Surround yourself with people who have so much experience in trading digital currency or even stock or bonds. Most specially, just have the habit to practice and discipline yourself in any ways.
While that is what you should do it is not as easy as it sounds, for example in other markets like forex or stocks you can find people with 30 or 40 years of experience and it's obvious is impossible to find someone like that in cryptocurrencies because cryptocurrencies are a lot younger than that, so finding reliable sources and experts is a great challenge.
1069  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Learnings from crash on: May 11, 2018, 11:01:02 PM
What do you feel you have learned from the crash (if anything)? I think the market has gained a little bit more stability now, and therefore it is nice to look back on your own thoughts and the decisions you made when experiencing such a crash.
Personally, I learned that I need to continuously, as markets grow, 'take off some risk' and allocate some profits from alt into ethereum and bitcoin.
In the same regards, I will also begin to allocate small percentages into $ so that I can gain more on crashes like this one.
Lastly, I once again got confirmed, that in crypto we see huge volatility and that is just something we have to live with - for now at least. Never panic sell in corrections!!!
What I learned from this crash was that I was strong enough to resist it, until the crash came I was very sure that I wanted to be a long term holder but I have not encountered a crash big enough that will make me doubt of my position, and even after we saw such a crash I was still convinced to be a long term holder and not even for a second I thought about selling my bitcoin, so I know that no matter what the market throws at me I will resist and keep my bitcoin.
1070  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Patience is a virtue in Cryptocurrency Trading. on: May 11, 2018, 10:54:09 PM
Not only patience but good strategies as well are needed to become successful here in crypto trading because when you only have patience you will not know when is the right time to buy or sell a coin because you just wait for the luck to come to you. For me patience is needed if you do long term holding because long term holding needs more time for the coin to maximize its potential to become a profitable coin in the future. While on the short term holding or what many called day trading, strategies and good monitoring skills are needed to fully know what's the best coin in the market.
It is obvious that we need a strategy, but at least what I have seen in the forum is that there are hundreds of strategies what many people are lacking is the patience to follow through their own strategies, there are many that plan to hold for the long term but as soon as the price crashes they sell their coins as fast as they can, so they are not really committed to their words and to their strategies.
1071  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is the world economy is sliding down? And how bitcoin may help it? on: May 11, 2018, 10:49:49 PM
Warren Buffass is actually going to destroy his legacy. He is old now and when he dies, people would have remembered him as a legend. However, since he started talking complete crap about Crypto, he is now going to die and then when Crypto is wide adopted and used by billions, everyone will remember Warren as a complete dumb as*, that tried, and failed, to stop the inevitable revolution. Moreover, they will look back at his reckless and uneducated comments, and remember him as an old senile man.
You're being too harsh to Warren Buffett, I like many people in the forum disagree with some of his comments about cryptocurrencies, but you need to understand that no investor no matter how good he is, it is going to be able to predict with 100% accuracy every single winning stock, that simply does not happen, and if what you say is true and he is remembered as a failure, which I doubt it, I think that he failed even more at predicting that businesses like Google will get as big as they got.
1072  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you rather see steady growth in Bitcoin or strong upward spikes instead? on: May 11, 2018, 10:45:11 PM
I wanted to see what the general thoughts of the community here are. With bitcoin being in a pretty steady state for the past few weeks, it seems like there's going to be a set up for some kind of growth. With that, there can be many paths, but after seeing today's price (which was up around 5% when I checked), I was wondering if the volatility is what people actually like about bitcoin.

So, do you guys like the volatility and the strong spikes upwards or would you rather like steady growth, around 5% gains over time?
I would prefer to see a steady growth instead of the huge spikes in the price, but I cannot really make bitcoin do what I want so I have adapted to the difficult market conditions by adopting a very simple strategy which is to hold no matter what, some people do not like this strategy because they think it is not the best in this kind of market, but I prefer to protect myself and my small investments over trying to earn more.
1073  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what you should do crisis time in trading ? on: May 11, 2018, 10:40:34 PM
stop watching my ballance is one of my way to survive from crisis
coz whenever i saw my ballance i feel frustated
we can't do anything except watch and wait
Keep HODL
This may seem to go against logic but this is the right call, there are many people that got bitcoin when it was very cheap and then they forgot about it and then one day many years later they remember that they had some bitcoin and became millionaires, if you are very worried about what's happening in the market the best thing is to forget about it especially if you invested in a coin like bitcoin.
1074  Economy / Speculation / Re: Just sold all my BTC because on: May 10, 2018, 11:08:11 PM
I'll do you one better. Your poor ass never had any bitcoin.

You are here to spread lies and try to confuse newbies into thinking abojt Ethereum and BCash.
Ethereum serves completely different use cases and it should never be a choice between BTC and ETH. You should own both depending on your interest while BTC is a must.

BCash on the other hand is just another alt-coin being propped on Roger Ver's sly marketing and media's ignorance. Only a fool would trade their BTC for Bcash at this point.
I will admit that I loled, you really called him out I know that there is a space for criticizing bitcoin since we all know that is not perfect and that it has some flaws that could be improved, but to think that the OP could go as far as suggesting that people are adopting bitcoin cash instead of bitcoin is ridiculous, most of the forum members recognize that bitcoin cash is nothing more than an attempt to get money.
1075  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin may continue to move higher on: May 10, 2018, 11:02:05 PM
Bitcoin had dream run for 9 years. There is no logic for Bitcoin to be more than $2,000.

100 cruise missiles fired into Syria cannot be ignored for world situation. Look at other investments..
And exactly what that has to do with bitcoin? Bitcoin is a coin that is not tied to any country unlike national currencies bitcoin does not have to be affected by the occurrences in a particular country or region of the world, with bitcoin there is not really a middle ground, bitcoin is either going to be very valuable or will have no value, the scenario you state cannot happen, either bitcoin reaches a value higher than the previous all time high or it gets to zero.
1076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you buy or sell crypto for cash? on: May 10, 2018, 10:57:10 PM
There are not a lot of trades like that in my country, most people prefer to sell their bitcoin or to buy bitcoin with a credit card, older people have a tendency to use cash instead of digital money, but most people that are getting into bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are younger and they prefer to use electronic means of payments instead of cash.
1077  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Australian Government having blockchain as part of the agenda on: May 10, 2018, 10:47:02 PM
This is what I expect to see from governments, I feel like moving to Australia now lol

https://www.ccn.com/australian-government-budget-injects-700000-for-blockchain-research/

I see blockchain as a good solution for government transparency and efficiency, unfortunately in countries like mine (Brazil) such investments won't be part of the agenda, I feel like I won't live to see that :/
When we take into account the huge budgets that governments have at their disposal that amount of money is really small, so I really do not know what they can come up with with such a low budget, but I suppose that a small budget is better than no budget at all, let's see how they use that money and what kind of innovations if any they come up with.
1078  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How I handle crypto regret on: May 09, 2018, 10:35:18 PM
People regret today for not buying BTC when it was 100 dollars. I regret of not buying BTC last year when it was 1000 USD and if things continued that way I bet people in coming years will regret of not buying BTC when it was 10,000 USD. We should look forward rather than regretting what we haven't done, as life is full of opportunities.
Exactly everyone regrets the chances that they miss out due to their own mistakes, for example I cannot regret not buying bitcoin at one dollar because at that point I didn't even knew that bitcoin existed, but like many here I regret not getting into the market sooner, the first time that I heard about bitcoin it was trading at a price close to 250 and I will always wonder what would have happen if I actually took the opportunity to buy bitcoin at that cheap price.
1079  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin business success on: May 09, 2018, 10:29:35 PM
Yes I see many people who succeed because of bitcoin, I myself also feel a change in terms of my economy. And make bitcoin as the main job.
You need to be very careful to make bitcoin your main occupation it is true that the profits can be incredible but at the same time there are some advantages that a job can give to you that bitcoin cannot, for example you get medical insurance, anyone that has been seriously sick knows that it can get very expensive and paying with cash can really drain and put a lot of strain in your economy.
1080  Economy / Speculation / Re: What happens to bitcoin? up or down? on: May 09, 2018, 10:25:27 PM
The value of bitcoin has seen significant gains over the last week, following a period of relative stability hovering above $9,000. If it continues its good form, it could break above $10,000 in the coming days. . my opinion is bullish market is coming.
I don't know if we're going to see that price in the next days but I think there is a high chance that we will see that price in the next weeks, the reason for that is that I think there are many people that are waiting that we reach that price to begin to sell, so there will be a struggle to reach that price between the bulls and the bears in the market but I think that the bulls are going to win this round.
