201  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN - ROAD TO 8,000$ - speculation on: January 28, 2022, 12:02:35 AM
since it was first created by SATOSHI NAKAMOTO bitcoin has very strong fundamentals, so its price goes up from time to time, and BTC is a very popular investment today, even though bitcoin is currently experiencing a decline, it is very unlikely if the price falls too deep ie to under $10K.
that's right, currently bitcoin is the most popular investment...

Bitcoin to $8k is the same as all influential people who buy Bitcoin selling their assets, and I'm sure those who have bought Bitcoin in large quantities will not want to sell their Bitcoin at a low price so that Bitcoin price drops past $10k is no longer possible.

That's not possible as I don't think they will sell at a very big loss. If they can afford to hold, they won't sell any. So most of them will be holding and just observing the market. Some of them will continue to buy more because once btc is rising up again, they can easily gain good returns of their investments. Anything is possible in this market, but 8k? I guess, that's too much. We have surpassed this level a long time ago and I don't think we will go back to that price again.
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to list token on vindax if want to start with very low budget on: January 27, 2022, 11:10:57 PM
Garbage exchange site, The same tier with latoken, coinsbit and p2pb2b. Horrible UI and UX, Low liquidity, full with bots, Service was not always active when you have faced a problem with this exchange site and many more. The first impression matters a lot and that's why people will always call any tokens that listed into the garbage exchange site as scam token. It's caused by they can't get a better exchange site for that.
The garbage exchange site will give a very bad impression to your token as well. It's not to pay your money for the developer of this exchange site.

If the OP wants, better develop his coin to be a valuable one first. Don't rush into listing if the project has no significant achievements yet. Because listing in substandard exchange won't do any good on his coin. The trading volume will be low and traders will just ignore the coin if it has nothing to offer to the community. A lot of coins died because of no progress in development. If the project has very low budget, why not focus on actual use case of the project first? Listing would be easy if they have good application in the market. They can even list in binance if the project is really promising as they are not charging fee for listing, only some type of donation if they want.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: An advanced technology could kill crypto? on: January 26, 2022, 11:36:28 PM
I don't think that it can kill crypto because the news about the computers that can bypass all keys easily is also not necessarily true. I mean every technology must be designed as well and secure as possible like blockchain technology and it will be difficult to break into it. Even if many new technologies emerge with their respective sophistication in my opinion it will not kill crypto. But if the technology is more sophisticated and in the sense that it can also help eradicate crime in the crypto world then i think that will be very helpful.

For now, it is too early to tell. Before, the fud that quantum computers will kill crypto is already known to many. But up until now, no known impact so far. We already have quantum computers so don't know if they are already testing the vulnerability of blockchain tech. There are even projects that are introduced here saying they are quantum resistant projects. But we can't deny the possibility in the future that a sophisticated technology may wiped out crypto. But for now, it is far from happening.
204  Economy / Economics / Re: If you don't buy don't come here to complain on: January 26, 2022, 09:58:49 PM
Wait until Bitcoin climbs back to $50k and you'll surely hear or read frustrations and regret posts from the weak hands and greedy ones. Those who can't decide for themselve when to buy and take advantage of the price dip.
Btc was close to $30k level at some point this week, I hope a lot of you guys were able to bag a few fractions or even a huge fractions of Btc, because the price is now climbing up the ladder again. Well, this is the result of many people who are actually buying and took advantage of the dip.

For sure a lot will regret for not buying their btc stash when it is in this 30k+ range. Because once it surpasses the 40k, we may see the 50k level again. So before it happens, this is really good opportunity to increase your btc portfolio, but of course, it is still your prerogative how you will react on this market. No one is obliging you to buy as it is your money. But you need to think of the possible future scenarios on how to optimize your profits. Your choice...
205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Investment against inflation on: January 25, 2022, 11:49:42 PM
Bitcoin is good both as an investment and a means of payment, especially in the current financial situation.
Indeed. But only few people have realized this since they all believe in fiat which is now heavily affected with the rising inflation. But what the owner has did through putting bitcoin atm machine in all of his branches is definitely a good strategy that will open the minds of people that bitcoin is a good alternative to fiat that can hedge inflation and can save your own economy from collapsing. Because bitcoin itself is deflationary, so we can expect that it will surely beat the inflation that we are facing right now.

The restaurant owner got lucky as he invested on btc at a lower price. But if he bought at peak like for example in the 60k level, of course, the story will be different. But it is good that he saw the potential of btc and bought it. As many businesses are shutting down, his is about to expand. So this story is an inspirational one and we can attribute it to btc's price volatility. A lot of people are not comfortable investing in btc because of this aspect. But if you know how to get around, you can very well be compensated.
206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IMF urges El Salvador to remove Bitcoin as legal tender on: January 25, 2022, 10:53:49 PM
I think they're ready for it. Bukele has been buying every time the market drops and that signifies that they're pursuant to what they're doing for bitcoin and which they've adopted as a legal tender. AFAIK, IMF is a bitcoin supporter and that's from the articles that I've read years ago, maybe 2-4 years ago and now that they're questioning El Salvador to remove what they've decided to adopt bitcoin as a legal tender, isn't it that this is just a FUD and they want to give panic to the people so that everyone's going to sell and pull the prices down?

They may change their minds again once btc is going up. But can IMF dictate what El Salvador will do to their monetary system? This year, we will see how this country will stand on their ground towards their crypto journey. Maybe in the next months to come, they will disclose if they bought some BTC during this dip. Of course, they will be silent for now. But once the market is going bullish again, they may disclose what they have done during this period. El Salvador may be a living testament that btc can be a legal tender of a country if they play right.
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I Predict $20,000 for dogecoin in 5years time on: January 24, 2022, 11:41:01 PM
I will recommend to put only small parts in Doge. Don’t put your eggs in one basket. Diversify and research. Remember low market caps are still viable for a lot more speed. got a guaranteed way to share with y’all on how your portfolio grow with about 30% weekly. such a profitable opportunity without stress.
Actually there is no guaranteed way to grow by 30% at this time especially if the money is in Dogecoin, even though the way you say it can be very good for everyone to do, but guarantees it will never exist in market conditions like now.
Correction for DOGE will continue as the market remains bearish. I'm surprised it's still sitting at the top 10, but eventually, as the bearish market prolong, it will go down, and when investors panic, it will not be in the top 100 again. I'd rather buy a coin with some decent potential so if ever they'll dump, investors will still stay and they have a good chance of rising again. Taking note, Shib is going down as well in the ranking, these meme coins would never survive without hype.

You don't have to be an Einstein to know that the prices of coins that were created only to be pumped will drop the fastest when the bear market starts.
There is no doubt that if the drops in prices continue for several weeks, both DOGE and SHIBA will fall from the top100 for sure.

If we will not see any progress in terms of development for doge or shib, I don't think they can sustain their current price. But maybe, high probability that doge will still exist after 5 years, but the price, this one is hard to determine. And with regards to shib, its existence is questionable and more than likely, it will be abandoned in that time period. Once the team got tired of creating hype or spreading fud, they will slowly disappear in the limelight. They don't even bother to update their thread in the forum. So I don't know exactly their true intentions here, but in my opinion, shib can easily disappear in this market as compared to doge.
208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling In Crypto on: January 24, 2022, 10:49:49 PM
Online gambling is prohibited in many countries so it's easier for bettors to use crypto as a workaround hehe. Problems could still arise from converting crypto to fiat since some exchanges doesn't accept deposits from gambling platforms.

...

The con I believe exists is the high withdrawal fee imposed by some platforms to cover for changes in transaction fees on the bitcoin network.
Yes but good thing many of them now support other cryptos that has lower transaction fees.

@OP, better move this thread to gambling discussion board = https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=228.0

For sure, a lot of gamblers in the forum will pitch in their ideas or insights towards gambling. Also, in the gambling board itself, you will find reputable casinos to play with without submitting KYC requirements. Just look at their trust summary and browse their respective threads. There are so many casinos existing already so whatever you are looking for, for sure you can find it in one of them.
209  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed by Nasterxchange 26000 euro on: January 24, 2022, 10:31:14 PM
Sadly, the forum can't ban that user because you can create account anonymously here. So they won't know this person if he creates his account here. Unless, he will pull off the same scheme using his account so he can be red trusted by users here. Also, why use his services instead of reputable trading platforms like binance?
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do we call it bear market on: January 23, 2022, 11:24:11 PM
this deep correction can't also be interpreted as a bear market ,because we've been in that situation since December and seen falling without a parachute ! altcoin are experiencing a big drop as the wall of support has broken down instantly on the bitcoin market ,but you should continue to monitor this situation and hope to believe that in 2 week the market will recover above 40K again for btc

We will only determine what kind of market we are having after few months. Because if you compare the price of btc in the previous years, can we say that we are in a bear market? Definitely not. Because we are still in the 36k level and based from the previous years, we only experienced this level last year. So if you are comparing the price in 2020 and years before that, we can say we are still bullish. It depends on where you are comparing it with. But right now, it may be bearish if we compare it from ATH price of about 60k. But we are still doing good as the adoption is growing everyday.
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will cryptos go into Bull season? on: January 21, 2022, 11:36:32 PM
If they can't able to handle the crypto market during its bad times, I don't think they can't even handle the market during bullish and will always force themselves to buy at the peak.
That's very true. They're worried whenever the market shapes bad but when the bull market comes, they're rushing in. I guess that's normal behavior for everybody.
Only a few become encouraged when the market is at its low and they don't even think of buying because they've bought at the peak. That's the problem that they have to distinguish themselves.

In this market, we have seen that mostly who can stay in this market are those strong spirited users. If they are weak, they can easily lose their enthusiasm to stay because you will encounter a lot of up and down movement here. Not many people can handle such stress or pressure especially if they are using their hard-earned money or their savings.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Announcing Fyfy - Decentralized crypto payment ecosystem on: January 21, 2022, 01:16:02 AM
There are a lots pf projects who are offering the low cost and fast payment system and there are many projects coming based on solana network.
How Do you differentiate you from them and why should we choose you?
Fyfy ecosystem is built on the Solana blockchain, which is among the fastest blockchains available. The focus is to transfer stablecoins, for example, USDC over the network similarly to most known FIAT currencies, like EUR and USD. Fyfy aims to create a user-friendly environment in which the payment process is simple and convenient to use. And that's why you should choose us.

But as you aim to be a payment ecosystem, have you tried contacting at least couple of companies that may possibly interested to use a decentralized payment system? Also, this will only be used extensively if your token will be available in a lot of trading platforms. There are so many coins or tokens that are cheap already in terms of tx fees, let's say TRX.

So where do you think you will start here? In what exchange are you eyeing to list your SOL token? SOL network is getting their popularity in the market.
213  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who is the best crypto provider to give you advice on how to trade in crypto? on: January 20, 2022, 11:23:15 PM
Because there are so many crypto signal providers now, it's hard for me to pick the right one. Many of these crypto trading signal providers have a good record of giving out good signals, but some are only in it for the money. This is what you need to know about these people. So, which is the best source of crypto trading signals, and which one should you use to make money?
As with most things in life there are no shortcuts, you are trying to borrow the knowledge of someone else to make profits in the markets, saving yourself months or even years of study, do you really think that something that convenient really exists? Because it does not, if you want to become profitable in the markets then there is only one way to do so and that is by learning how to trade the markets by yourself, and if you cannot do it then you should accept to just hold your coins.
^ Definitely right, try to learn trading on your own and don't rely on others knowledge and the trading signal is not accurate on predicting the market, it could be possible that you are joining in the pump and dump group which is not good to join. However, making them as your reference is not a bad idea at all, but at least you are not relying on them. I agree that there is no shortcut to learning, it should be step by step, and if you lose then you have gained experience, still, you are on the good side.

Also, I don't agree with the OP that only some are in it for the money. The reality is, almost all of them are after for the money that they will get. Maybe not the subscription money but the money that they will rake if they give late or wrong signal. Because usually, these groups will give signal a lil bit delayed, so what the followers will do is to buy at high prices, where maybe, the signal group owners are selling. So do you what I mean here? For me, better learn on your own ways and not rely on these trading signal groups, whether paid or not, because it will be the reason why you will lose your funds.
214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will central bank digital currency (CBDC) make bitcoin worthless? on: January 20, 2022, 08:53:00 AM
it is still very much a fiat currency.
It really is. There's no different with the current setup in China using wechat and alipay for their digital payments. Adding CBDC is just like putting up another payment option for fiat. There's really nothing that much of a difference between those payment methods that I've said.

They're tying it up with cryptocurrencies but as you've said with their description, they're not using blockchain and more of, they're not really a cryptocurrency. There's no need for any argument with that since it's going to be backed up by the government as it's centralized.

We can really equate CBDC as digital fiat. So if you are concerned with privacy matters, you won't patronize the use of CBDCs. In this aspect alone, CBDCs won't make bitcoin worthless. Instead, once people understand the difference between CBDC and bitcoin, they may even switched to using bitcoin especially those who don't want to be tracked by their governments. So even with the initiatives from different governments today, creating their own CBDCs, it won't make bitcoin worthless or obsolete.

216  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A guide for beginners to learn trading on: January 19, 2022, 09:19:21 PM
~snip~

Now, what would happen if you failed to apply it correctly? the answer would be, it is either you quit and just wasted your time studying trading or continue and finish what you've started.
If they always learned I think failure will be minimized. Although it failed/mistakenly it could come at any time. If they decide to quit, it seems like a wrong decision. Everyone can because of learning, I firmly believe trading is something that can be learned. So in the end it's just the will that works. If you try once and lose it is natural. If they  move has failed then I think their perception is wrong. Beginner traders must be resilient please try without giving up by sticking to the risk management you have learned. I'm sure if you keep trying, it will work.

The article posted by the OP has a lot of info to digest with. But if you are starting in trading, just use small amount of funds that you can afford to lose. All of us here start from scratch. We don't know crypto when we entered here. So yeah, it is a matter of time before we learn things here. And still, everyday is a learning day for us as we embark different scenarios here. There's no defined formula in crypto trading. So the more experience you have, the better insights you get. And that will help you in your trading journey, that is, if you don't quit.
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it just me thinking about this NFT craze this way? on: January 17, 2022, 10:22:39 PM
I think today's NFT hype is so different from the usual.
at the start of the hype there was a lot of art in it and indeed it had artistic content which was very nice to look at.
but for now I see a lot of NFT which is just for fun and does display pictures that incidentally don't really care about the art where the important thing is that their pictures are for sale.
I guess to say manipulation is indeed very possible for now

We can't avoid this thing to happen as this new craze is now proliferated with scammers. So the likelihood that you will see crap NFT items that are up for sale will always be here.  It is up to the buyer how he will do his own due diligence to avoid being screwed. Or better yet, invest your funds to established alts or btc, rather than putting your money at this very high risk investment. I am certain a lot of these NFT collectibles will be worthless in the future.
218  Economy / Economics / Re: Thinking through how the blockchain and related tech might impact real estate. on: January 14, 2022, 11:45:49 PM
In a decade? I don't think that NFT craze with be there long time and also I am not really knowledgeable related to real estate investment, I just buy rental properties wnd make passive income so I am not going to get much excited about this. Also we should not be excited too much about announcements because they are doing it to sell their products for higher price so its kind of market strategy to make more money.

Would be hard to penetrate the real-estate market via blockchain technology because this one is quite complicated. There are documentation that needs actual signature of the owner or buyer, but it depends if the system will change. Documentation is the hard part here because most owners or soon-to-be-owners, I believe, will still prefer hard document of their property. A lot are not yet into this blockchain tech market but it may start. It depends on how the blockchain projects will revolutionize the real-estate market.
219  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Bulls Are Coming Back Soon, Are You Ready To Ride? on: January 13, 2022, 11:56:23 PM
Just go with the flow. Not because we have a good morning with those green, everything will go up from now. If it happened, then good, if it's not, then also good. It's just that, we should not close the book already and just watch BTC grow.

And the question, do you guys already fill your bag during the dip? Or still, waiting for more dip? Regardless, the trend will always come back to bullish. That's always the cycle since the beginning.

People have their own strategies on how to address the market. But mostly, it depends on their financial capability. But if you can afford to buy, it would really be nice if you will accumulate not only btc but valuable projects. Because once the bull season is here, you will reap your rewards. For those who are in doubt, just don't invest on hype tokens or seemingly pump and dump coins. better stick to top alts with valuable use case.
220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pakistani Central banks wants to ban crypto on: January 13, 2022, 10:54:43 PM
They are quite late on trying to impose such bans on crypto since their neighbor India is trying for the longest time.
My guess is that the court will issue an order to further study the matter and maybe propose it as an investment asset.

...
and government/banks have no rights to ban it.
They can issue a banking ban on any form of currency other than fiat and there's nothing you can do about it.

Some are not really well-informed why they are banning crypto. We don't know to what extent their government officials know about bitcoin or crypto. But I believe, it will take time before they will change their stance on crypto. Maybe, for now, they are against with crypto but only time will tell if they will change their minds towards crypto. If they are seeing neighboring countries to be more friendly with crypto, they may again reconsider this decision.
