1121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Secret Coin List which will surpass Ethereum on: January 29, 2021, 10:04:02 PM
It doesn't seem to be a secret coin list now, does it?
When you say surpass Ethereum, what do you mean? In terms of what?
Adoption? Price? Market cap?

All I see are a bunch of shitcoins that will be pumped then later on get dumped just like Ripple, Verge, EOS etc

My thoughts also. Maybe the OP has stash of those mentioned coins. We are way beyond this kind of propaganda already. A lot of those mentioned coins are really not that great. Will still go for eth rather than on his secret list. Right now, popularity of eth is above those coins. They need to work hard to at least achieve half the popularity of eth. Though there are few promising projects on his list but will not think that they will surpass eth any time soon.
1122  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin remain the biggest cryptocurrency at the end of 2021? on: January 29, 2021, 09:23:50 PM
No coins can overtake Bitcoin as the biggest coin in crypto history. Even if there are coins that have bigger prices than Bitcoin, but they cannot beat the popularity and survive well as Bitcoin. For example YFI, its price ever passed Bitcoin price, but now the price already dropped significantly and the popularity cannot grow well as Bitcoin. It is the same as Ethereum, it also never overtakes Bitcoin as the main crypto coin and has the most power to influence the market. So, Bitcoin surely will remain the biggest crypto coins at the end of this year or even in the next more years.

If we are talking this year only, bitcoin will still be the top among these thousands of cryptocurrencies. More than a decade in the making and yes, popularity will not be achieved by other alts for just short period of time. Even noncrypto users already recognize the term bitcoin. But if you try to mention ethereum or doge, they don't know what to say. A lot of people are still not familiar with eth, even it is already in the top 2 position. So for me, definitely bitcoin will still be the biggest this year.
1123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DOGE To The Moon on: January 29, 2021, 08:42:37 PM
Today I saw the price of DOGE very high on the Binance exchange, I immediately sold all the DOGE that I have. After I found out why the DOGE price hike was due to tweets from WSB Chairman and Elon Musk. I wonder. Why do famous people's tweets have such an effect on the price of an asset?
It was because of this simple post of Elon that it drives to $0.07 you may check it here https://mobile.twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1354924057825837060. Too regrettable that it was $0.002 from past year on the month of December. Smart money are flowing now into altcoins and even Grayscale did with their recent announcement of assets they held onto their trust. Search for coins that are still cheap and has good usecase guys, not financial advice.
I would like to see most of the potential altcoins rise in value as much as Doge. Can I ask Elon Musk to speak positively about cryptocurrency in general? Maybe then we will see the altcoin season that we have been looking forward to for a long time?
Bitcoin has already shown what it can do, it's time to do it for other cryptocurrencies.

Now, I am wondering if Elon Musk has big stash of doge also?  Wink But I think doge deserves to have a raise on its price. It has been used for years and years by traders because of its cheap transaction fees. Actually, doge is better than most crap projects that have been created and abandoned.
1124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin with over 200% increased, what happen? on: January 28, 2021, 11:56:22 PM
Don't ride with it, too much increase in just a short period of time, probably a bigger dump is incoming.

That's what I like about Doge, it always survive and sometimes it's easy to manipulate this coin, but of course not us, those who have the capacity can do it but it will not be worthless if it will dump unlike other altcoins.

Enjoy, but don't FOMO.  Grin

Wow, look at this one-week chart of doge - https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/dogecoin

For those who want to ride this pump, be careful as you might be buying the peak now. Who knows? But just be careful. We are seeing the ATH of doge now, so at anytime, it may really drop.
1125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THE CRYPTO MARKET IS SO RICH AND SATURATED on: January 28, 2021, 11:25:35 PM
The huge support that already received by bitcoin from the some institutional investors have been giving very big liquidity to the market.
This is also giving very big impact to the altcoins at the same time as the liquidity on bitcoin increased so hard and more people join in altcoin too.
There were so many newcomers came to the crypto since the pump for bitcoin has started.
It's good to see crypto already brought into the another level and it's not getting stuck.

I am just hoping to see more blockchain projects that can actually implement their use case in the market. To see the impact they may bring to the industry if blockchain tech is integrated in the system. Up until now, most alts are merely for speculative purposes. Very few have active use case in the market. We need to show that blockchain tech can really make a difference in our way of life by seeing its applications in our daily living.
1126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I accept Bitcoin for payments on my online store? on: January 28, 2021, 10:23:13 PM
As long as you know that the price can change anytime, so I'd suggest putting the products on fiat currency and make a signage or poster that you accept crypto as payment and that prices may vary because of the volatility, with that being said, I think adding another method of payment is good and as long as you have a good trusty wallet that you use, and that you can easily convert, then I think there's no problem to that, good luck!

Yes, should be clear with clients how you are going to accept crypto so they know that you will be basing in the current market. But wondering if the OP pushed thru his crypto payment in his shop since he created this thread? Because when he posted this topic, the btc price was $14k at that time. And if he managed to implement what he was planning, and had few customers that paid btc, guess, the value right now of that btc is more than double. OP has not posted recently here.
1127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CAN RIPPLE SURVIVE? on: January 28, 2021, 09:41:22 PM
I think ripple will Survive because 90% of xrp trading is done outside US.
WHATEVER the SEC says only effects xrp for US users.
But if u think about Investing in this coin better u don't do that and find another stable coin.

Reading the forecasts of analysts, I am more and more convinced that Ripple will face a long litigation. I would not waste my time on a notoriously losing project. Moreover, there are many really promising alternative coins on the market now. Therefore, it is better to switch to more reliable options.

I also believe that this situation will not be a good time to invest on XRP. As we don't know what may happen on their SEC's lawsuit, it is like your funds are in hostage position if you will invest now on this coin. Though there may be possibility that they can get out of this mess, but I think it is better to invest in XRP once you see some light at the end of the tunnel. But right now, it is very risky, as SEC can totally shutdown their operations if they can't manage to come up with terms mandated by SEC.
1128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoins for Investment on: January 28, 2021, 08:47:44 PM
I research about this all Altcoin and i think the all altcoin will good profitable coin for future.
Not all altcoins are profitable in the future
And from the list you gave, I am only familiar with KSM and DOT, but among these 2 projects that I think have very good development and have more opportunities in the future is DOT

I am only familiar with DOT. But checking this KSM, it says Polkadot's wild cousin. Don't know what that means.  Grin The same founder with Polkadot, Gavin Wood. And from the website, it states that they are nearly similar with the codebase of Polkadot. So I can assume, KSM and DOT have the same owners. But don't know what factor deviates from one another. But in terms of popularity, I believe DOT has advantage over KSM for the moment. Regarding profitability? We don't know how much.
1129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bank with their crypto project on: January 28, 2021, 07:57:20 PM
People are choosing crypto over fiat transactions because they don't want regulators and governement to meddle in their asset and funds, if bankers or government starts creating their own crypto it is destined to be a failure because they will not get any support from crypto enthusiasts and other folks who don't use crypto will carry on with fiat instead of government or banker's backed crypto.

Because once a noncrypto user discovers the benefits of dealing with crypto vs a centralized coin, I guess, he will move to crypto. Once you become a crypto user, you tend to avoid those centralized coins that will tied up with your financial activities. So right now, not many people are patronizing digital currencies developed by banks.
1130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DeFi] Exeedme - New Revenue Streams for Gamers. Powered by NFTs and DeFi on: January 27, 2021, 11:57:07 PM
This platform is forging partnerships with other platforms, which is actually good signal that they are serious in expanding their business. Because to stay alive in crypto, you need to explore opportunities as much as you can. Without collaborations with other companies, it is hard to reach out large audience. The more customers you have, the better for the platform.
1131  Economy / Economics / Re: Food prices doubled this year on: January 27, 2021, 11:21:10 PM
I believe every nation have had its own share of the state of the hard times that we are going through as a whole. I could remember vividly that some of the things that you can easily purchased then, you dare not try it now, why because of the increment in price. The cost of transportation has double. Even of not by 150%, food too is part of it. What used to sustain a whole family for three months before can no long sustain them for a month. This period is really a hard one for the whole world. People are loosing their jobs and this is still going to continue, that's the part that sadden my heart. But I believe we are coming out of this hard time soon. We shall smile again.

Humanity is suffering owed to this pandemic. But don't forget that because of this crisis, we also realized a lot of things in our lives. How we communicate or interact with our closed family members, how we take care of our environment, and things that we can do in order to survive a pandemic. Not all bad things happened during this period. We are a survivor of this life. So facing the increase of prices in goods and services is just only one thing of the many. We will surpass this stage and we will emerge a better or stronger person after this crisis.
1132  Economy / Exchanges / Re: May i get in a trouble in the future? on: January 27, 2021, 09:43:18 PM
You may or may not get in trouble for now, but I suggest you stop using your coinbase account to receive Bitcoins from gambling sites. Their terms and conditions are quite clear on gambling.
What I suspect could happen is if they detect that you received money from a gambling site, they can easily block your account and freeze your funds,

Quote
PROHIBITED USE, PROHIBITED BUSINESSES AND CONDITIONAL USE

1. Prohibited Use. You may not use your Coinbase Account to engage in the following categories of activity ("Prohibited Uses"). The specific types of use listed below are representative, but not exhaustive. If you are uncertain as to whether or not your use of Coinbase Services or the Coinbase Platform involves a Prohibited Use or have questions about how these requirements apply to you, please submit a support request at: https://help.coinbase.com.

By opening a Coinbase Account, you represent and warrant that you will not use your Coinbase Account, any Coinbase Services and/or the Coinbase Platform to do any of the following:
....
(E) Gambling: Lotteries; bidding fee auctions; sports forecasting or odds making; fantasy sports leagues with cash prizes; internet gaming; contests; sweepstakes; games of chance.
...
More details: https://www.coinbase.com/legal/user_agreement

And that means, he needs to get out his money from coinbase as soon as he can. Just like what others have suggested, move it while the exchange is not realizing yet where those bitcoin comes from. Since it was transferred Jan 27 or maybe few hours as of this writing, better convert it to other coins and transfer to your wallet or another exchange or just directly send your bitcoin to other wallet. It is very clear from their terms and conditions about their take on gambling activities. Hope the OP will read the replies and make a move soon, before it is too late.
1133  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC drop an opportunity to buy on: January 27, 2021, 08:33:46 PM
This recent drop was unexpected eventhough we thought there would be fluctuations but from past few days we have seen more drops and less pump, it's a worrying factor because this might be the end of bull run or else one more correction phase and if it's correction phase then it would act as slingshot for investors but investing right now is high risk factor which many won't bother to do apart from institutions.

We can't tell yet this early. January is not even over. But if you are a holder or trader, just keep your eyes open in the trading market. Whatever you are doing with your btc right now depends on your goals, whether short term or for long term. We can't tell if the bull run is already over or not. But for those users waiting for btc to hit this level, then it is good time to buy, right? Unless, you are still waiting for it to go down a lil bit more.
1134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: High possibility major governments will BAN Bitcoin in the near future on: January 27, 2021, 02:37:51 PM
It will matter for the price. AND it will turn Bitcoin into an underground and little used tool. You can also say goodbye to 100% of any institutional and large buyers, killing the price in the process.

Sure, and I'm pretty certain that has always been a possibility since forever; heck, anyone who tried to think about Bitcoin's potential downsides as an investment could easily think of that. The question is, to what extent can a certain government "ban" it? Knowing that some institutional investors(that has a crap ton of lawyers, even from Blackrock alone), are already in, and are continuing to get in.

Yes, such a scenario has been always existing. Of course there's such a tendency in the world that lots of governments make different steps towards the tryings to regulate people's assets, especially crypto assets, to make them be in some rules and frames. And may be some day they will fulfill their ideas on some percentage, but ban Bitcoin totally it would be not so easy or not forever. As for BlackRock not so long ago they gave the go-ahead for two of its funds to invest in Bitcoin futures.

Would be hard to implement the total ban of bitcoin. Let us put it this way, even if the government will create their own crypto, once their constituents learn more about the advantages of dealing with bitcoin over their centralized coin, I believe, some of them will move on to bitcoin. Now, the government will just pave the way for these previously noncrypto users appreciate the benefits of bitcoin over centralized ones. So nope, not gonna see that bitcoin will be banned by the governments. They can't have the full control of its usage.
1135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: UNI coin is the next BNB. ? on: January 27, 2021, 08:05:16 AM
I don't think UNI will surpass BNB at the moment, but UNI has pretty good potential to compete with BNB.
If in the future the uniswap exchange is widely used and its reputation is getting better, it may surpass BNB.

That is, if Uniswap will sustain the interest of traders. This early, one major problem that traders is facing with is the high trading fees. This is the reason why I am hearing other dex platforms to be better over Uni. Now, if UNI will not resolve their fee problems, in time, traders will go to other DEXs with competitive fees. And comparing the number of users in centralized exchanges like BNB, I think it is hard to beat centralized ones because there are a lot of centralized coins to cater with, that you can't find in DEX platforms.
1136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins for data storage who knows what projects? on: January 26, 2021, 11:55:26 PM
Only project I know about is Siacoin which has already been suggested by another user. It's a good project per se but the project has not received many attention ms lately. I've known the project for like 3 years and haven't heard anything go wrong with the project yet except that no hype around the project. If you want to use it for development purposes, you can try out the project and see.

I've heard that as well and if it is still alive today, then, I guess, they are doing something right. Just head to their site - https://sia.tech/ and look if it will fit with OP's needs. They are top 107 right now, so better than most alts out there. They are also present in Binance, which translates that sia surpassed the strict requirements of binance.
1137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: EmiSwap ☄️we will distribute 5,500 USDT among the soft launch participants on: January 26, 2021, 11:17:36 PM
emiswap is part of emirex, as we know emirex in the past they did not treat bounty participants well. However, I wish them success with their new project.
Emirex distributes enough tokens to the bounty hunter but the time is too long. This campaign will run for about two weeks but don't know how long they will pay?

What is the status of the emirex platform now? If you see their markets, the trading pairs for AED with USDT, BTC, ETH are really not that huge number. So that means they are not doing good in the middle eastern countries? Now, that they have their own DEX, do you think they will do good on this venture? If they have bad history paying their participants before, don't think a lot will come to their new bounty program, unless, those users don't know their past history.
1138  Economy / Exchanges / Re: DEPOSITING times on exchnages... on: January 26, 2021, 10:05:22 PM
Who had the fastest deposit times on coin exchanges?

I deposited on one and it takes up to 3 days... This is far from reactive.
If trading on 212 for example deposits are instant, allowing you to take opportunities when they arise... 3 days tho is just a no!

Are they all generally the same?

The exchange in question is Kraken.

3days? Is it too long, I am just waiting for a minute only before I will get my coin in exchange whether it is bitcoin or eth or any coin. Even when you are free referring with bitcoin? and you choose the low or the cheapest amount of fee still it will not take 3days, I wonder if what you are saying is correct. I have no experience using kraken but I had use so many exchanges so I think it will be my reference. Anyway if you are transferring xrp it will take less than 5mins.

I don't think the problem here is about the exchange. It is the coin and the transfer fee used by the OP. It is not the exchange's fault if the user used a very small fee to deposit on them. Haven't used kraken before. But more than llikely, it is not the exchange at fault here. For example, if you send btc in binance at 1-2 sats/byte, of course, it will take time to hit in the exchange. So the OP should be clear about his prob and not blaming the exchange for nothing.
1139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bithumb Global open Amepay deposit. on: January 26, 2021, 12:12:00 PM
Yesterday there was a listing on mxc and unfortunately the price of AMEPAY fell even more, I don’t know what to expect from AMEPAY, but I hope in February there will be a listing on the top cryptocurrency exchange and let's hope that the price of AMEPAY will start to grow in February, otherwise I can only see that the price AMEPAY is only dropping every day, I hope everything will change soon, since I am also an AMEPAY holder and I hope that the AMEPAY team will do something...
More listings are still coming? Lol I think listing ain't what this project needs right now, the team should work more on its use case and also get better partnerships, this is what will drive real demand not listing, amepay has good use case but still lacks awareness

I agree with you here. Those exchanges right now are more than enough. They need to focus more on reaching out as many users as they can. This is usually where the project goes wrong. Chasing exchange after exchange, forgetting their main objective for the platform. I promoted Amepay before so I am just wishing all the best for this project. If they will not fast track their developments, guess, their fate will be the same with all the other failed projects, decreasing their price continuously in the market. Hope this will not be the case here.
1140  Economy / Economics / Re: Trading Bitcoin in Africa Is a Way for Some to Escape Poverty on: January 25, 2021, 11:04:17 PM
You're right, this is just a crypto fluff piece.

I think the main thing you're missing.

Is the average wage for some african countries being something like $4 to $8 a day.

If you can do better than $4 to $8 a day from faucets, airdrops, trading, ICOs. You're doing better than the many african working 8+ hour job days.

Trading crypto for a living may not be an option for residents in nations with higher average cost of living. But for some regions like africa, it is an achievable goal.

 Smiley

You actually have a point on this. For people residing especially in third world countries, earning at least 5 bucks a day is already a big deal for them. They can already have more than a decent meal on that amount. Now, if you are lucky to know crypto and know how to strategize in trading, and living in those countries, such amount will already give you a decent life even if you are not subjecting yourself to the tedious 9-5 job. I guess some people will not appreciate earning 4-8 dollars a day, because they have been living within their comfort zone and not looking at other scenarios around the world.
