641  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin go down below $20,000. on: July 20, 2021, 11:22:27 PM
$20,000 is very possible. Take note that we are still -51% from all-time-high. Correct me if I am wrong, the last peak around 2017-2018, after we touched around $19,000 we manage to drop below $4,000 before reaching the recent all-time-high which is around $60,000.
And the last dropped was around -70% I think? So, for me, $20,000 is still possible for if we are basing the previous bear market.

That is, if we are referencing from previous market movement. However, we need to account also about the exposure of bitcoin or crypto in today's market. More institutions, organizations or individuals are into bitcoin today, even some countries are making a good move towards bitcoin like El Salvador. But of course, $20k level is always possible to happen. We should not be too lenient in this market and everyone should be alert especially if you are heavily invested in this market.
642  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Top 10 casino sites on: July 20, 2021, 10:44:05 PM

Could there be any objections to this or is there any site you fell isn't fit enough to belong to this listing?

How can there be anything but exceptions to this list? You have not quantified why they are the "top 10" but it's impossible to recognize even half of these. What are you judging it on - player count? most games available? most money spent per year? The fact that Bet365 - the biggest online gambling operation in the world is missing tells us that you have not put a serious list together. Only 888 and Betvictor are really worth being on that list, Virgin Games might just make the cut but is a comparatively small operation compared to some other gambling sites out there. Maybe specify the country as well, because site popularity can vary wildly around the world.

Most casinos in the list are not really familiar in the forum. Are they mostly fiat-based? The OP also didn't elaborate why they made the top 10. We can't object his listing because it is his list, and he is free to make his own top 10 list. But for other users here, definitely, most of those sites will not make it in their top 10. Some of them are never-heard in the forum, they don't even have their thread here.
643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]LEPIFANY-new generation passive income & BNB redistribution project on BSC on: July 20, 2021, 03:01:52 PM
Are you going to publish the actual photos of the team members? Because right now, only placeholders are posted. Passive income is only possible if the platform has strong use case in the market. And upon looking at the services that wanted to explore this project, it seems they will create various services to the community. However, they need to attract those users to actually utilize their platform.
644  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betkeen Betting Exchange on: July 19, 2021, 11:28:43 PM

First, the OP should improve his ANN thread here and maybe if he can purchase copper membership - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote, so he can publish snapshots of his website.

And most bonuses come with certain requirements. So maybe, we can also check their terms on availing such bonus. From the site, where can we read the conditions attached to availing such bonus every week?
645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔴[ANN] 🔴 Edgecoin — 🔐Secure 🌎Global 💲Payment 🖥System 🔴 on: July 19, 2021, 10:10:46 PM
The price right now is about $0.61, so how can make sure that this will go back to $1, which as marketed as the first educational stable coin? As stable coin, do you have assets to back this value? Because most stable coins are backed with assets and audited by third party companies.
And aiming for global payment system, this coin should be present in a lot more exchanges. Right now, the trading volume is quite low.
646  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you aren't reading you shouldn't be trading on: July 19, 2021, 08:32:37 PM
I used to go to a psychologist 10 years ago, it was for about 2 years. The best advice I got from her was to reflect on myself and how I feel at least once a week, just sit down, doesn't matter how long it takes but simply just talk to yourself, talk about how you are feeling talk about the first thing that comes to your mind, just imagine you are sitting in front of you and chat with yourself, you will realize how great it will feel eventually and ever since then I do that.

This is same level of advice, spend 8 hours every week to improve yourself, this could be about trading but if you do not want to do it for trading, then study history, or read a book, or do whatever that will improve you, it is really good advice. So far I have unintentionally done this since I can remember, not because I knew this advice but because I love to learn new things, so I spend sundays on learning new things, each week is a new topic and I really love it.
Once motivated, being able to explore and learn something new every week is relaxing. Many recommend reading a book to gasps new challenge and some discover something in themselves while reading. We all have different activities that can help to improve ourselves but reading is a must since researching and studying is needed in trading.
You're right, studying and improving is much needed in any specialty type role, including trading, and I find that reading is not the only way to get yourself up to speed with new methods and techniques audio books, tutorials and videos are equally important and relevant material.

Though, for sure keeping up with your day to day investments and trading does require the you to learn from time to time but I always see this as personal development and growth, and when you get to it you may even find it enjoyable Wink

You will pick up a thing or two while reading. Though we say, experience is the best teacher but sometimes reading will help us understand the situation that we are in. Most of what we are experiencing in trading is not the first, probably a lot more traders already had the same experience, and so they can give you options on what you can possibly do to get ahead of the game. It is not bad if we are following some techniques, in that way, we will know if it is effective on our side or not. You can always change your strategy if it doesn't suit you. At least you know which ones will work to your advantage.
647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to buy some low cap coins on: July 18, 2021, 11:53:23 PM
I still can't buy a low cap coins based on the presentation, eth and btc was just my priority asset because I couldn't afford to trust with others. You had a good idea to share that thoughts of yours mate, hopefully you'll get what you deserve to acquire soon. Many times low cap coins took so deep during bear months, I guess today isn't a good time to add them on our lists.

It really depends on your priorities here. A lot are really confident if they have the btc or eth in their portfolio as you can never go wrong with these 2. However, if you are into alts, you better evaluate their potential or else, you may end up losing once you decided to sell them.

Those are the best and low cap coins? I don't see that most of them having low cap coins as I'm familiar with most of them. If your basis of buying a new coin is on its low market cap, that's quite good but those that you've mentioned, they're not really low market cap coins.
They're even known by majority of the altcoins holder and if you want to buy some low cap coins, you should choose better because they don't fall on that category. Maybe those coins that you've mentioned are what's currently in your portfolio?

Some are really giving their suggestions because it is in their portfolio and they wanted to promote in a subtle way. I do agree that most of the alts he mentioned are really not low cap coins. It is up to the user if he will follow such suggestion or not. It is your own money, so you have all the freedom to choose which project you want to invest with.
648  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC is helping out Cubans and Venezuelans on: July 18, 2021, 10:37:20 PM
I have known this has been happening in Venezuela for a very long time but right now with the difficult and critical times that those living in Cuba are going through this is even more critical there, this is one of the great use cases of bitcoin, if a person sends money to Cuba to a family member and especially if they are sending dollars not only they lose a percentage to the government they do not even receive the dollars and receive the local and worthless currency, with bitcoin you can send the coins directly to the one you want, however the government of Cuba is also blocking the Internet so access to those coins will be intermittent.

I believe this latest news from Cuba is good news for some crypto users in that country.

https://www.reuters.com/world/americas/censorship-circumvention-tool-helps-14-million-cubans-get-internet-access-2021-07-16/

Psiphon network is offering their service to "maximize your chances of bypassing censorship". So maybe, for those who want to send crypto to their family in Cuba, they can use the app to bypass their government's tight security protocol.
649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your betting budget on: July 18, 2021, 09:59:04 PM
Definitely, you should be more careful if you are a small gambler, you don't have a lot of money so always be discipline to stay at the limit. Actually not setting your limit on your losses only, make sure you also limit your winning so you can end up with a profit if ever you are lucky, not because we are lucky we will not think of stopping anymore, it doesn't work that way as probability will always hit us in the end and we will lose.

Lastly, be realistic, don't think your $100 bankroll will turn into $10,000 in just a short period of time.

I think that the chance to immediately turn 100 dollars into ten thousand in one bet with a large coefficient is much higher than a gradual increase from this amount. Another thing is that such a single bet is unlikely to satisfy a gambler's need for a game, most players like to enjoy the process itself.

Using 100 bucks in a single bet is a very risky one. Unless, you are very sure about the results of the game. I still prefer the gradual increase, at least I know, I can't lose $100 in one bet. Anyway, gamblers have different preferences when it comes to their game. Some want to enjoy their game so they will use those $100 in various matches or games. And you will be very lucky if you can get your $100 to even a thousand dollars.
650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Charlo vs Castano - July 17 on: July 18, 2021, 04:19:57 AM
The heated argument I thought looked very suspect and I think it is mainly for promoting the fight instead of there actually being beef there.
I'm looking at Charlo's inactivity though, almost 300 days of non boxing? Hmm, it might affect him here early, as he might experience what we call ring rust. We have seen fighters this year experiencing this and they have to adjust in order to win specially if they are the champions. So it could be some boring early part of the round and Castano's might steal some couple of rounds in the process. But in the end, Charlo might find his rhythm back in time to claim a UD win.
Not enough of an effect imo. Charlo should be winning this match comfortably. Castano's has shown a good chin though and I can this fight going the distance regardless of the result. I have a small bet on Charlo via decision.

Unfortunately, the match ended as a draw. A lot of us are hoping that Charlo will win on this fight, and am guessing a lot also betted on him. So maybe, we will see part 2 of this match very soon.

For those who can't watch the video, you can also read the round per round analysis from espn

651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: July 17, 2021, 11:38:38 PM
I do not know if Manny can still focus on this match. There's a lot that's been happening to his politics life.

The stress that his political career brings him at the same time while preparing for the fight, I just can't think how he can handle them calmly.

Just look at the recent YT videos of ESNews - https://www.youtube.com/user/ESNEWS and fighthype - https://www.youtube.com/user/fighthype. They are uploading the preparations of Pacquiao. And I can say, Pacquiao seemed to be pretty serious in his training here. This match is getting interesting and less than a month of waiting. A lot of fans for sure are waiting for Pacquiao to be in the ring again.
652  Economy / Economics / Re: Will the popularity of cryptocurrency continue? on: July 17, 2021, 10:23:29 PM
The popularity of cryptocurrency will continue basically among millennials than in those who are aged 65 and above. For example, a poll conducted by Harris Poll in 2017 showed that; there was a 23% to 11% drop in the people who are unaware of Bitcoin. Secondly, there was a 40% to 60% increase among millennials who said they are "somewhat familiar" with Bitcoin. Thirdly, among respondents who agreed that the most people would be using Bitcoin rose from 28% to 33%.

In addition, a look at the news and other online media will tell you that the popularity of cryptocurrency is not about to wane anytime soon, as a matter of fact, it is just beginning.

See mention of the poll here;
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.forbes.com/sites/ktorpey/2019/04/30/survey-finds-27-of-those-aged-18-34-prefer-bitcoin-over-stocks/amp/

Millennials are easy to adopt things that are new in technology. With smartphones today, they can easily learn about crypto and understand how it is being transacted. They are more eager to know these kind of things. I can understand that most of the age group of 65 and above are not interested anymore as they will just stick to traditional means like fiat.
Also, a lot of gaming sites now are integrating their own crypto coin, so that's additional way on how to to attract these younger generation to crypto. If it is already available to what they are using like in gaming sites, they can easily get acquainted to crypto. So yes, I think the popularity of crypto will continue as we are already in the digital age.
653  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐️ BETLLER.IO | 🤜 🤛 PvP Betting | Contests | Bet on BTC/USDT price movement! on: July 16, 2021, 11:40:46 PM
So your BTLLR will remain but once you deploy the WBTLLR, what will happen to them? Do they have the same supply? You said, there will be a cross-chain bridge, so does it mean, you can exchange your original BTLLR with WBTLLR, is that one-to-one conversion?
654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Vegas Casinos to allow Cannabis Lounges. on: July 16, 2021, 10:43:41 PM
Here is a novel idea if you can't handle the 2 together don't partake or second don't go.  There are plenty of things that are legal (alcohol being one of them).  I've seen people smashed at the casinos that had no business gambling, I actually think this is better than drinking in a gambling environment.

As long as you can handle yourself and you're not harming anyone, that's fine with me. Use it responsibly so to speak. Marijuana has medical usage itself, but of course abusing the use of it may have unfavorable consequences. So it is up to the person how he will use this privilege. The casinos just give the opportunity for people to easily avail cannabis and that it is up to them how they use it.
655  Economy / Speculation / Re: The market is full of opportunities to come on: July 15, 2021, 11:39:07 PM
I don't see a quick recovery in the near future to be honest.
No one actually can see what to happen in the next few days, few weeks, or even few months. So, we cannot judge if no fast recovery in the near future. Especially about the recovery of BTC price to go above $35k or go below $30k again. But if we consider the increase of most crypto coins today, probably in the next few days there will be a bit decrease in crypto prices.

I admit the movement of cryptocurrencies is very difficult to predict, so no one is able to know what will happen to crypto. But everyone is free to predict
what they think is right based on the results of the analysis they do. So there is no certainty whether there will be a recovery in the near future or not.
what is certain is that if we have extra money, buying potential coins is a good opportunity in market conditions like this. Because in the long term
some potential coins will definitely increase in price, much higher than the current price.

Sometimes one good news and the market will be in green. We don't know when a very positive news will come, but you need to prepare in this market. If you strongly believe that it will go up in the next coming days or months, better buy while it is still cheaper. And don't regret when the price goes up and you failed to get your own stash. It is your own strategic moves how you can gain profit from this market. You don't need to rely on these experts before you make your own move.

@BetJa, I read conversation here about Spence-Pacquiao match, are you accepting the bets for this match already? Because you have posted your odds already but seems that they can't place the bet.

657  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC Go for Another All Time High This Year? on: July 14, 2021, 10:46:55 AM
The sentiment around here seems kinda mixed.  WO thread seems slightly bearish but I see people in other threads that are slightly bullish.  So..  for the bulls out there, do you guys think BTC will break out of its recent high of 65k USD this year?  If yes, please explain why.
as we can observed from the votes conducted it is still people believes that there is a chance of having another ATH this year.

But looking at the market movements since last month?

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> https://coinmarketcap.com/

I think let us be contented on what we are having now, and besides we are still in hype these days valuing 30,000 above? this is far high from what we achieved in 2017 hype.

I do agree that the value of $30k above is actually much better than previous years as the truth is, we have just seen this value only this year. But if there will be another bull run for this year, why not? We are just halfway this year and the possibility of reaching another ATH may happen again. As we have seen that more and more countries are now formulating some sort of legislation towards crypto. After El Salvador, we have Paraguay -  https://www.coindesk.com/paraguay-bitcoin-law-crypto-mining-registration. If this will continue, this may affect btc price in the market on a positive level.
658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: MMA Info and Predictions - Bellator, KSW, PFL, ONE... on: July 14, 2021, 06:57:37 AM
I also saw that Dustin Poirier was wearing the crypto.com t-shirt on the fight so there are definitely moves towards individual sponsorships, but this seems to take it to another level and will probably solidify how sports view crypto in regards to doing business with it.
I have seen that t-shirt and I think that millions of people have seen it too because it was big on his chest plus the interview by Rogan was really made it more focused on him so the website got more exposure, pretty sure that it's going to be big for the crypto community for obvious reasons.

yeah, this kind of promotion can only benefit crypto in general. We might see more sports adoption of crypto in the next cycle. It will definitely be interesting to see how it all pans out, but these small steps are adding up and sports and crypto are getting closer together.

And don't forget that it has been a while that stake.com is the UFC Official Betting Partner - https://stake.com/ufc. And now with the sponsorship of crypto.com. I believe, in the next days to come, there will be more crypto sponsorships not only in UFC but other sports as well, which is already happening. But UFC is gaining a lot of audience these days so crypto sponsorships is just on the right track.
659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon tweet again that he is supporting Crypto against Fiat on: July 14, 2021, 01:18:15 AM
We will get to a point where by Elon Musk will lose his respect and no one will trust him anymore just like what happened with McAfee, He his good at inventions but he has no power over crypto, he can only manipulates but that's it
Yes, it will probably be like that, but Elon Musk has a lot of friends and most of them are also rich people, so the same thing as McAfee will not easily happen to Elon Musk at this time, because everyone has their environment a different life and also a different way of dealing with obstacles in the crypto space.
Elon is entitled on his own opinion and it is undeniable that he advocate modern technology and crypto currency is part of world's edge of technology, if he say he will be supporting crypto then that is awesome as we know how rich he is and he can bring big impact to crypto market.

I think, Elon just need to lessen comments that he is not very knowledgeable of. Because his influence is already there, it is already given. But hopefully, he will use it in a very useful way and not tweet subjects that he is not really familiar of. Because he will just be a laughing stock of these crypto experts that know the ins and outs of this technology. But him supporting crypto, has really good impact in the crypto market.
