EWBF miner 300 h/s 1080 61 C.... total power 73 %

So what...? With the price a 1080 cost I could get 3-4 rx470 so 600 to 800 sols/s  Roll Eyes

1070 can do 300 sol with 100watt, or 370 sol with 150watt, that is better than any amd out there, i'm still laughing thinking that there are poeple that believe amd is better...

AMD is better in terms of $/hash, that's all they have right now until Vega comes out. I don't consider nVidia to be a better option, just too expensive for nothing. They will be easier to resell, though.
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Size of your mining farm? on: December 12, 2016, 07:22:14 PM
I'm using about 30,000 watts of an available 96,000 watts with GPUs mining at home.

96K watt at home for residential? where? never heard of that, usually residential can go to 6K here in europe, maybe it can be extended to 12k but not 96k for sure

I really doubt residential homes in Europe only have 6Kw of available power. That's only 26A.

96 kw is VERY high for a residential setup - 400 Amp service is actually pretty high for a small BUSINESS and I've seen some multi-story business buildings that only had 600.

Might be uncommon in warmer states, but here in Quebec it's getting more and more common. Older homes usually have at least 200A, While anything pre 1970 is usually 100-150A. A lot of new homes with 2+ floors are set up with 400A here. Hell, some really high end houses have 600-800A services. Some people actually have heated driveways for winter, ridiculous right? That's 200A right there.

As for businesses, well it really depends on what type of business it is doesn't it. Offices don't need big electrical supplies. Also, a lot of businesses will have a 600v service, so 600A goes a long way. A typical McDonald's location that doesn't use natural gas for the fryers and grills will have a 500A 600v 3 phase service, for example.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: My new ZEC + XMR+ ETH thread builds info links thoughts and photos. on: December 11, 2016, 08:19:07 PM
i am using the same build as phills. however I am having some trouble

I am having trouble having all 4 cards to mine at full speed, when all 4 of them are plugged in one gpu always mines at 4mhs instead of 24mhs, i have tested all cards individually and all work, i have testeded all slots individually and they work,
please please help me kind souls

that bug has occurred with a few of us.

what cards do you use.

I have exactly the same bug.

MB - Z97 GAMING 5. All cards are RX 480 Nitro+ (on powered risers)

Tried everything - always one card  is 4MH/s

Make sure crossfire and ULPS are disabled. Regedit is the best way to go.

i wonder if its possible to do a clean driver  install post windows vista of is that totally dead Grin Grin Grin Grin

Don't know why you'd want to use Vista? But download DDU to clean your system, run it in safe mode.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The World’s 1st GPU Integrated Miner Is Lauching PRE-SALE! on: December 09, 2016, 06:40:32 PM
This system pretty much defeats the point of GPU mining, because the have taken a generic GPU that can be used for anything, and pretty much turned it into an "ASIC" type design. I am actually working on a very similar system, but instead of using proprietary GPU cards that can be resold or used in any other system, it will just use off the shelf consumer GPUs.

Yes, it's completely retarded. GPU mining takes the power away from Chinese ASIC shovel providers and gives it back to everyday home miners. Why anyone would want this instead of building their own systems is beyond my comprehension.
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore 9 freeze on: December 08, 2016, 10:24:26 PM
V9.0 has no stability issues! Your rigs do! Increase GPU voltage or lower clocks!
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v9.0 on: December 08, 2016, 06:41:24 PM
Starting from v9 my system hangs and reboot automatically even if I reduce intensity.
VGA: VTX3D R9 390.
No problem with v8 even at max intensity.
Waiting for v. 9.1 to fix this...

9.1 won't fix it. V9 is harder on GPUs, they need more voltage to be stable vs V8.
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore 9 freeze on: December 08, 2016, 04:14:53 AM
V9 is simply a little bit harder on GPUs. You need to find which GPU(s) is crashing and increase it's voltage slightly, or decrease it's clock speed. I had to adjust about 10 card's voltages across my 100+ GPU farm to get V9 stable. V8 had been stable as a rock since it's release. Now V9 is too with slightly increased voltages.

interesting project  ... is this starmining board custom build ? Full x86 pc onboard with the drivers ?

Someone already start mining for test ,but not in large scale. YES, Full x86 pc onboard with the drivers!

Like I said I am happy to promo This for you.

I have done multiple reviews of many products.  I am well respected on this site.

I am willing to pay you full price or ship it back to you.

My one caveat is you allow me to pay it once it arrives to my home.

MY trust shows  I have handled 10's of thousands of dollars.  So sending a working demo for me to show should be easy to justify.

I know you are such a trusty man, even you friend made a promise. But we got rules that we can not send you with no payment.really sorry for that.

Of course you can't.  Roll Eyes
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The World’s 1st Graphics Card Integrated Miner Is Shipping in November, 2016 on: December 01, 2016, 10:01:32 PM
these panda clowns really dont even reply to email, so buying something like this from them..., that might require warrantly or service in the future.... is a REALLY REALLY BAD IDEA... i mean just utterly STUPID... even worse is promoting the product in anyway what-so-ever...

nevermind the fact that its difficult to upgrade this product and difficult to sell it off when you don't want it anymore

just build your own rig and you will be better off.

I can't wait for people to start complaining that they lost money with these guys so I can laugh. If you have anything to do with this you're a moron.
212  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon A7 announced on: November 25, 2016, 02:10:59 AM
I'm pleased to say that both Kano and I have received an A7 each from Canaan for continued support of these devices in the official cgminer, and the code has already been merged into the master cgminer.

Great news. Glad to see they didn't follow shitmain's lead.
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v7.0 on: November 19, 2016, 03:51:21 AM
i want back to time when claymore didnt release optimized old card, this is ruined zec mining, all those new card stuck like hell
except the nano's hash rate is pretty amazing with low power cunsumption 205 h/s / 80 watt
RX series 90 watt at 0.9v core doing 160hs

He didnt optimize old GPUs, the old GPUs were better for GPU compute than the RX series.

For many algos the Tahiti is KING due to its architecture design.

Tahiti => Mercedes V12
RX Polaris => Toyota Prius
tahiti vs polaris = 140 watt vs 90 watt and polaris better hashrate,
true KING is FIJI
lol i sold the MALTA

Yeah, Fiji > Hawaii > Tahiti in terms of raw power.

stop mining zcash it's a virus

Guys, he's a doktor. It must be true!
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v4.0 on: November 13, 2016, 12:20:27 AM
For everyone who is complaining about electricity watch this. This is how power consumption was back during the Litecoin days with Scrypt.

350Watts per 280X at the wall. And you guys are complaing about 100Watts or so. So spoiled kids these days.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUvUmo8dBmU

Yeah, my 7x 7970 rigs were brutal when mining scrypt. Don't miss those days at all.

All of those GPUs survived thanks to heavy undervolting, and are still mining to this day.
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v4.0 on: November 13, 2016, 12:09:38 AM
It seems I must be here all the time, as soon as I decide to take a break, something interesting happens Smiley
Ok, I did not check this new Linux miner, but it seems it's faster than current version of my miner, at least in Linux.
So in a day I will release faster version.

Frontrunning: November 13
- Why you release faster miner? ? ? ? ? Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes  Now we all must pay more for electricity and we will all mine same coins anyway, so much less profit!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Angry Angry Angry
- Why so high fee? ? ? ? ? ? ?  I think 2.5% is greedy. You already made millions!!! Why you not work for free so I can make millions too?!?!?! You are a thief!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Why no Linux version? ? ? ? ? ? You could make millions with big farms which all use Linux!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!

New invasion in 3... 2... 1...

Go be a retard elsewhere, mmmmmk?
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v4.0 on: November 12, 2016, 08:42:47 AM
@Claymore: There seems to be a bug with the -li parameter.

If I keep Teamviewer open, the speed won't drop and it remains at 75 H/s per card.

I had a very weird problem with Claymore and teamviewer, but since no one else ever mentioned it, I thought it was some random Kraken thing. I can have a look using teamviewer(TV) and the miner will simply stop. Hit "s" to see stats and it will either start going again or activate watchdog and restart. Then it will run until the sun explodes...........until I click on the TV window again  Huh

Assuming you're running W10:

Right click top of miner's windows, properties, Options tab, disable Quickedit Mode and Insert Mode.

Should solve the "freezing" when you click on the miner.
218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Did you guys get instant ROI during the Paycoin scandal of 2014? on: November 12, 2016, 02:21:59 AM
Indeed. I consider myself lucky to have been able to sell ~0.2 at ~30BTC/ZEC.
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Did you guys get instant ROI during the Paycoin scandal of 2014? on: November 11, 2016, 05:46:42 PM
As soon as I noticed nicehash was paying 1000%+ more than regular BTC mining I switched about 50TH over. Made some nice coin.

Was it really 1000%, crazy.

Its also 100% right now for some reason on Nicehash. I guess its good to be a Bitcoin ASIC miner during these times, reduces ROI days.

Yeah, the BTC was flowing in. Crazy times.

Wonder why people are paying so much on nicehash right now?
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Custom RIG Frames on: November 10, 2016, 08:04:49 PM
Great job! Be sure to post pics of the 7 GPU rig when you're done!

Ordering myself a chassis to play with as well, might end up converting everything to this type of enclosure.
