201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Bitcoin and Crypto Really Like the Early Internet? on: July 19, 2021, 03:15:45 PM
If you’ve been following Bitcoin and crypto for more than a few months, you will have almost certainly heard someone comparing cryptocurrency — and blockchain — to the early internet. Well, there are many parallels between cryptocurrency today and the internet at the turn of millennium, not least in terms of both resulting in bullish market activity that skeptics regard(ed) as a bubble. However, it’s still far too early to say just how impactful cryptocurrency will be, and it’s arguable that the data comparing crypto to the internet has been misinterpreted and exaggerated. What are the similarities and differences between the two.
Some tweets comparing cryptocurrency and the Internet:
https://twitter.com/CoinCornerDanny/status/1408342142657892355
https://twitter.com/BTC_Archive/status/1408134902130917378
Well, at some point we can really compare the two based on what they went through before they become regulated all over the world. The early internet has been seen as a threat at first and many people are against it, likewise with crypto wherein there are countries that considers it as an economical threat and the government is against it cause if not, then it would have been legalized already and there are no countries that are banning the mining and the services of it. It's natural to people to fear something new that could make a huge impact someday since they are not yet certain if it would be in positive way or the other.
202  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ranking up is possible! 2900 Merits earned in less than 12 months! My 11 Hints! on: July 19, 2021, 02:52:02 PM
As we can all see, this is what perseverance can do to a certain individual. Regardless of how hard it is to gain merit these days, as long as you are making an effort or finding a way to earn it, you will make it to a higher rank. Lucky are those who were able to reach a high rank before the merit system took place, all they need to do was to increase their activity count and they will soon rank up right away. Those who entered whilst the merit system was already implemented needs to exert more effort and more legitimate and related posts just so they can earn merit, if you are gaining such still, just keep on going, you will soon rank up also.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BNB to $1k? on: July 19, 2021, 02:25:10 PM
BNB is one of the coins out there that has the potential of having its price increasing more as time passes by. With regards to the burning, as they have their very own burning feature and limit what can be mined, they expect that the price will rise afterwards hence that is not what's happening. Nevertheless, as soon as huge coins like bitcoin starts recovering once again, there's a high probability that BNB will also be included. We just need to wait and hold on to our faith in BNB, considering the growth of NFT's they have listed, a sudden change on its price will surely take place anytime soon.
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins are good for investing? on: July 19, 2021, 01:57:52 PM
Considering the fact that there are a lot of coins out there right now that has the potential of becoming more successful in the future, it can be a hassle to pick which on you're going to invest with. In such instances, it would be best to monitor and analyze the price movement of the top coin in the market before making an action, afterwards you can start investing on the ones you find interesting and has potential. BNB, ETH, BTC and many more, there are a lot of good coins to invest with in the market right now, just have the time to check if it is a good time to invest or not for the top coins.
205  Economy / Economics / Re: Does studying Economics in School make one to be economical or what on: July 19, 2021, 01:34:20 PM
Usually, what we learn from school doesn't really last long and there are also instances wherein we cannot apply it in real life situation. One can be economical or financially literate with or without going to school hence, the individual should put on the work and effort to make himself knowledgeable enough to call himself literate. What we learn in school acts as a foundation or just a warm up on the million of things we can still learn after that. As long as one doesn't settle on what he has learned before, he can be an expert or atleast literate whatever field it is.
206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We need a movie about Bitcoin on: July 19, 2021, 01:02:28 PM
Considering the growing interest of the public about crypto and the growing number of investors of it, a movie would be a great help to publicize facts about bitcoin. It would answer and clear many people's concern about it and it can also encourage them to start investing. As long as the movie shows some legitimate information about bitcoin and does not mislead the public, it would be for the betterment of crypto and even for those who doesn't know about crypto yet. If one is made, we'll surely see its impact as more and more people will talk about crypto and will start up an investment on it.
207  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I can't reply to some topics on: July 18, 2021, 10:35:41 PM
I don't see a "reply" button in some threads. The most obvious reason is that they are closed to new members but I can find any information about it. Is it for certain levels or for those levels that the starter of the topic chooses? How can I know when I can start to reply?
Well, there are actually instances wherein you cannot reply to a certain topic as the moderators or the original poster locks it. On the other hand, it can also be caused by being banned or receiving negative feedback from moderators as you post stuffs that are unrelated or does not meet the requirements. You should always pay attention to the things you are saying in the forum so that you can avoid making mistakes or suddenly getting banned or receiving negative trust. You'll easily know when you can reply already as the reply button appears on a certain post.
208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is cryptocurrency bad for the environment? on: July 18, 2021, 10:20:04 PM
Bitcoin alone cannot be considered bad for the environment hence the way it is being earned or mined is the one thatv causes damage to the environment. The massive use of fossil fuel so that people can mine bitcoin is very damaging to the environment that's why many are already finding a new source of renewable energy. It has become one of Elon Musk's alibi on why he suddenly chose to remove bitcoin as a mode of payment in Tesla and came back after he said he find a new way of mining bitcoin. Let us not be selfish about this matter, let us protect still nature or else it will pay us back in the future.
209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bank of America Approves Bitcoin Futures on: July 18, 2021, 07:55:19 PM
The second largest bank in the United States, has approved bitcoin futures trading for some clients, using CME contracts. Meanwhile, in 2018, Bank of America banned financial advisers from trading Bitcoin and related contracts.
In my opinion, I have the belief that in the future many banks will accept similar transactions of this valuable cryptocurrency.

When it comes to predictions, we cannot deny the fact that it is very hard to make one. Nevertheless, when it comes to crypto, we can somehow be sure of one thing, that progress of it will keep on going each day or each year so we can expect the best if ever things goes well for it yet we can also expect the worse as different governments in the world starts going against it. Hearing such news like having the second largest bank in the US opening up the possibilities of regulating bitcoin could be a huge step forward for bitcoin so that it would become more well known and influential.
210  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some important bitcointalk [GUIDE] for beginners. on: July 18, 2021, 07:29:09 PM
After joining the Bitcointalk forum, a Beginner faces many problems. In order to solve those problems, forum members have created different types of [GUIDE] at different times. And those [GUIDE] are slowly getting lost due to not updating or bumping regularly. So I tried to collect some important [GUIDE] on the same page. I was inspired to create this thread after viewing.

Op you tried for researching related topics that guides beginners in forum I really applaud your hardworking, i find out that some of the topics we see as a topic for beginners is not really beginners topics,it guide's everyone who are ready to study, because some members in forum  don't really know thing we fell is the normal step to follow in forum.
I will courage members and full members to revisits those guide topics meant for beginners.

It is indeed a great act of kindness towards the new ones here to compile links or topics that help them become more responsible and effective posters in the forum. It will help a lot so that we wouldn't have to deal with newbies asking too much ignorant questions or nonsense ideas coming up from their posts. Surely, there will always be newbies like that but we can atleast help in lessening the number of such individuals. Let us help each other and help the newbies build up a good impression as well as good reputation. Not everyone gets to have such opportunities so it would be best if we keep on making ourselves knowleable about complicated stuffs in the forum.
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: am i the only one expecting the market to be worse than this? on: July 18, 2021, 06:56:53 PM
I know in the future there will be another bull run. I also know bitcoin, ethereum, bnb and all the top ranking altcoins will create new ATH. that's why now i hope the market gets worse than this so i can buy cheaper. and the current situation supports my expectations.

i will buy when bitcoin is under 20k. I will also buy when ethereum has fallen below 1k. when bnb goes back to $100 i will buy it too. before that happens I will not buy.

and I will continue to pray for the crypto market to collapse. when that happens I will come to the market and spend my savings to buy
It deals more with predictions. Most of your plans would rely on some speculations that may of may not happen in the future. Nevertheless, as you ented crypto investment, you would soon come to realize how much risk as well as how much reward you can from just a short span of time. There are many people hoping for a much more worse dip than what we currently have so that they can start investing once again and buying coins for a cheaper price then holding it afterwards. There's more to come from crypto, it can either be something good or not hence you should prepare for whatever circumstances it may face now and even in the future.
212  Economy / Economics / Re: A message from my bank saying they will not allow me to purchase from Binance on: July 18, 2021, 06:36:05 PM
I got a message from my UK bank saying they will no longer allow payments from debit/ credit cards to Binance.  This is all to do with the UK FCA ban but I thought it was not going to affect us being able to use the Binance.com site, seems I was wrong  Binance will loose a lot of UK revenue if they do not become FCA regulated like Coinbase has done Sad
It is quite unfortunate yet we need to accept the fact that there will be instances wherein national banks of government regulated banks will not allow the transaction of crypto. Crypto has a long way to go still before getting regulated in many countries, all we need to do is be patient and keep on believing that it will happen in no time. It is something new for the old ones and considering the fact that most of the people in the government are too used to the fiat system, they will more likely stick to it instead of opening up to a new system. We're getting close to it, we just need to keep on believing regardless.
213  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Buy bitcoin season on: July 18, 2021, 05:23:22 PM
What is the best time to buy bitcoin?

bitcoin deposit recommend wallet?

What are your thoughts on Bitcoin minig?

What are your thoughts on these matters?

If you'll take a peak at the market right now, you will see how much of a good time it is to buy right now considering the dip. In terms of wallet, choose the one that is much commendable by many people right now and find the one that is trustworthy. For bitcoin mining, you can see that it is still striving a lot right now, even though the recent news about China banning crypto mining right now, there are still a lot of other countries that mines continuously. Bitcoin and other crypto are still on trend specially NFT's, it is making much noise right now so take the chance of investing on some.
214  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Security risk on: July 18, 2021, 05:06:09 PM
Can we compare the rate at which fiat banks go bankrupt and the rate exchangers do?

It's very rare you hear that a bank became insolvent due to robbery attack or hackers.
But often you will hear that one exchange is hacked or so.
Does is really mean that the security risk of Cryptocurrencies is higher than that of fiat banks?

When it comes to security risks, it will more likely rely on their choices in wallet with regards on how trustworthy and how much reputation it has so far. Comparing the security of risk in fiat and in crypto because the regulations are different as well as the security system. Crypto, being considered as a digital currency deals with online security while in fiat, documents and other files physically and it also deals with digital system now that it we're in the digital age already. You should make sure that you always ensure the proper security of your current holding so that it wouldn't get hacked or end up getting wasted for nothing.
215  Economy / Economics / Re: The Big Rip theory of Bitcoin on: July 18, 2021, 04:46:43 PM
The scientists are arguing whether the Universe will ultimately implode into one big black hole (so-called Big Crunch) or explode into nothingness (so-called Big Rip). The Big Rip essentially means that all the matter of the Universe including stars, atoms and elementary particles as well as spacetime itself will be torn apart by the expanding Universe in the future. As I see it, the Big Crunch in respect to Bitcoin would mean accumulating all bitcoins in a few or just one pair of hands, but this is not very likely to happen, so the Big Rip seems to be more possible as we see with the price sky-rocketing right now. Given the Bitcoin infinite divisibility, the Big Rip of Bitcoin would mean the price per 1 BTC shooting through the moon and farther into the depths of the Universe, thereby making Bitcoin and its 21 million coins dissolve completely in the financial spacetime...

So how likely is this, and what is your understanding of how things might unfold in this regard?
It is quite an interesting theory and it kinda make sense though it is quite far from happening. Considering how diverse the distribution of bitcoin is all throughout the world so seeing bitcoin ending up at a single person's hands is too far from happening. That can somehow be beneficial at some point but it would surely be temporary as all of the bitcoin in the system would dissolve in the financial space time. As time passes by, there would be more bitcoin mined so it can be expected that the supply will be infinite and it will continue on going on as long as it is not being sabotaged by huge countries and many are still supporting the use of it.
216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's causing the decline this time? on: July 18, 2021, 04:10:59 PM
Can't see anything particular in the news, or is there? EM? China? Anything I'm missing?
There are a lot of things that affects the bitcoin price now but what's been making too much noise lately. Their decision of banning crypto mining will surely make a huge impact on bitcoin's value. On the other hand, what makes the price changes confusing is the good news about El Salvador about making bitcoin a legal tender. There are good things yet there are bad things also happening in the market right now, so if you are currently investing on a certain coin, make sure you analyze the price changes in the market.
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will axie infinity dominate blockchain games? on: July 18, 2021, 03:31:09 PM
right now the play2earn axie infinity is one of the most play games, and day by day the community and axie is getting bigger, anyone here plays this game? what do you think about the future of this game, I'm not trying to advertise the game just want to know your views regarding one of nft games that are in the market, how about the SLP and axs is there a chance to go down?
I've heard a lot of new about axie infinity lately and I've seen my friends receiving high amount of profits that exceeded my expectation to the game. With regards to SLP and AXS, its price pump will surely last for a while considering the growth of the players in the game yet time will come wherein its price will once again go down, just like how a usual crypto goes. The community is growing more and more each day, as long as they keep on patronizing and supporting the game, surely it will become a sustainable source of profit so if you are currently investing on it right now, make the most of it and make sure you will not waste it.
218  Economy / Economics / Re: What's going on in China lately on: July 18, 2021, 02:51:31 PM
Anyone shopping from China lately? I think CoV19 is slowly showing up in China again, I ordered for some GPU from China and I got message that I might not get my orders fully delivered to me because of ongoing covid shit in China again, here is a screenshot

Even there are news concerning this on Google too

Considering how the pandemic started a year ago and how quickly they were able to recover, it is quite surprising to see them going on with the same crisis again. We are all aware how powerful and how advance the technology in China is yet they are suffering the severity of the virus. Just imagine how bad it is going on for other countries right now. On the past month, India experienced a second wave that led to the death of millions and there are even mass cremation held. The pandemic has worsen the world's state and it will show up more in the next few years in terms of economy.
219  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beginners, Build Your Best Reputation From Now on: July 18, 2021, 02:30:04 PM
Yes, Reputation. I'm trying to understand the basics of reputation on bitcoin forum. At first glance this is nothing more than an acknowledgment from other users on the forum for you as one of the trusted users because of your experience, your portfolio and your contributions while active on the forum. But did you know that reputation goes beyond being recognized as a trusted user?

1. A role model from many other users.

A user who has a good reputation on this forum (not because of his success in trading) is a user who can be a role model for other users, especially us as beginners. Check out their contributions on the forum, many of their posts and opinions are recognized as part of the problem solving thus allowing us to better understand a lot of what they write.

Some usernames I got during monitoring to serve as examples:
- DdmrDdmr
- LoyceV
- Suchmoon
- The Pharmacist
- fillippone

The names above are some of the many other users that you can make an example of during your stay on the bitcoin forum. They have an A+ reputation, excellent as users who can contribute to forum of the highest quality every time. If they are able to do everything in an orderly and disciplined manner, we can do it too. I just want to invite you to start thinking about reputation on this forum instead of having to think about how to make money too fast. The assumption is, if we have succeeded in building a good reputation then we can also have the opportunity to make money because basically money will be easy to get if we have sufficient knowledge.

2. Find more point during as you struggle.

Good Luck, _BlackStar

It is your sole responsibility as you enter the forum, to be a good role model to other users as you continue your journey and learn more in here. Make sure you are well knowledgeable about the regulations and how the system works out in the forum so that you can give out information accordingly. There are many people out here that ended up getting banned or never received any merit because they are too lazy to learn about how things works out and what are the things that should be avoided. Let us be one of those who helps the community grow more and help other members to further understand stuffs about crypto.
220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is reconstructing the current law system of human society on: July 18, 2021, 01:43:04 PM
We cannot deny how powerful bitcoin became over the years yet its capability to make differences in the world is still far from improving or be declared. The current law system will only be bent by those who are in authority and if democratic, the citizens has the power to protest about that. Nevertheless, bitcoin would still make a huge impact in the future as it enters and introduces us to a new monetary system. We should be hopeful hence reasonable and logical with our declaration if we don't bitcoin to be misinterpreted by other people.
