Thank you for your kind words! This pic is great, I've saved it for future use. If you like my logo, it was made by anonymousxxx, who has since taken to slamming me for reasons unknown...

Wow. People in this thread have really been giving it to Tao of late +1 I have to say I have sympathy for Tao - one of the hardest working community members with bag loads of passion and yet he gets quite a few knocks for promoting the "wrong stuff". Live & let live Love me or hate me, I'm getting people talking, and Darkcoin benefits because of it. Who's to say what's wrong or right? Everyone's got an opinion. Like Renegade Man so eloquently put it, this is an open source project, and I create open source PR. Some people are very conservative, and want to do things the classic way. That gets results. I choose to do it the TMZ way, and I've proven that that also gets results, by the amount of people I get into this awesome coin! BTW, @stonehedge, I would love to see you on Twitter, just make sure I'm the first one you follow! (I can tell) So, in summary, HATE ME: I respect your opinion, but you should know, I'm relentless, and I'm never going to stop being me. LOVE ME: Thank you so much for your support, and know our efforts are making a difference. Keep slamming me or RTing me, the passion around this coin is a good thing! Tao

PSA Otoh walls
A little test after this good news to see how well the price stays regardless of the walls, so they have moved back to the guaranteed 0.01111 spot for now and the Cryptsy one will be removed in five or so hours time, though I'll add to the 20,000 DRK one on BFX.
I don't think it will make any difference TBH.
That's a nice experiment. Let's see how DRK does when the walls take a step back! I think you're right, BTW. Most people are daytraders and when they see a buy wall moved down, they will dump.I cant wait to see what happens when the the buy wall at .011 is moved from cryptsy to bitfinex. Well, that was quick! Day traderz gonna daytrade... I guess the walls do make a difference, to draw a conclusion to the experiment.

Yes, Tungfa runs the PR department, we often do press releases and already have relationships with most publications. A formal press release will go out soon to the whole press contacts list, keep in mind Evan only concluded this work about an hour ago. A nice release will need to be written first with Evan's explanations about how it works. Twitter PR department here! This will be officially and unofficially tweeted in about 5 minutes, and sent to everyone on my influencers list. Congrats, Evan! Huge news!

Thanks Tao. Pity your guide doesn't consider dip sh*ts like myself...
I did send. Though I could try again? Would I have to generate new masternode key/addy or could I simply resend to MN addy?
Just send it to another address you control, and make sure to send EXACTLY 1000DRK back to your MN address. Wow! Senior member! I feel so old...

Hey people. Setting up my masternode however on starting MN in wallet I'm getting "not capable masternode: Could not connect to <ipaddyofmvps>"
Checked settings and looks ok - defo right IP addy VPS is up and running and redone darkcoin conf setup on both vps and local pc.
Is this more likely to be a payment issue? Any ideas before I start again?
Your masternode might have banned your local wallet. Try this: 1) keep local wallet open 2) stop remote darkcoind (the one that is on vps) 3) remove peers.dat on vps 4) start remote darkcond and wait until it's live (gives you valid responses on getinfo or any other rpc command) 5) issue "masternode start" (or "masternode start-many" - depends on what guide you are following) from local wallet again Thanks for that. Unfortunately no joy. Getting same error on masternode start. It is though a wallet I had a masternode previously on (before I f*cked up and moved coins). Any other suggestions people? Most times when people have asked me about this particular error, it is due to the fact that there is no 1k vin. Did you send EXACTLY 1000DRK to the Masternode address? Any more, any less, it will not work.

I guess it must "scare city" for them. Some really interesting responses so far...We need to make that tweet go viral! Will definitely raise some eyebrows... Lol you used your real name account (@CJCarruthers) to talk in the third person about the Tao account to support your argument as if you were two separate people. MFW LOL if true that's great. It wouldn't surprise me after the "bitcoin rush video is so good it went viral, you just cant tell from the number of youtube views" argument he made a few days ago. Yup. I was looking through the discussion and thinking the guy defending BTC fungibility is indeed an idiot when I saw Tao's face as the profile pic (recognizable from... the Bitcoin Rush video!) LOL! Just having fun with him guys, why should my Tao account have all the fun? P.S. He really is a moron...

Who ever is running the PR...just a suggestion but I feel like their should be much more heavier PR campaigns and more efforts geared towards http://www.reddit.com/r/DarkNetMarkets/ .......The dark markets are eying Darkcoin after all this BTC and ROSS drama. Now, its time to take action. Explain how its been stable (which is a huge selling point for vendors who get crushed buy volatility) How easy it is to anonymize, with much smaller fees then the Darknet alternatives like helix and many others....Right now DARK has the tools that these markets, vendors and merchants need....its time to show them the light, and get them into the dark very good thinking tx BUT maintaining Blogs and Chat Rooms should really be a Community Effort !!! it is not about 1 person (the PR guy) being on there and posting it is about the community engaging , commenting, discusting points, helping other to understand and solve problems. Reddit (Dark or not) is exactly the same as BCT so I would appriciate if we can all make that "PR" effort !! Amen, brother. Come on guys, jump in, the water's warm! Don't be shy, be action makers! We are way stronger as a community than as just one or two people...

They are discussing DRK on BTCe trollbox... LOL at satoshinakamario....Dark on all weak exchanges?? Were on bitfinex with crazy volume and a USD pairing If BTC-E Litecoin whales start moving into Dark, we are gonna see fireworks, although I think its a dead coin walking there is still a lot of BTC tied up in it and a hell of a lot of volume.... Maybe we need to get active in the BTC-E troll box Someone needs to make a Zombie Litecoin meme! I'd love to tweet that. Maybe with a tie-in to Darkcoin somehow?

http://www.ecb.europa.eu/pub/pdf/other/virtualcurrencyschemesen.pdf"Different algorithms, i.e. the mathematical procedure for calculating and processing data (it determines the speed at which the next “block” – set of transactions – is generated, how coins are released, etc.).13 Despite being a very changeable attribute, two major algorithms can currently be identified: SHA-256 (e.g. Bitcoin, Peercoin, Namecoin, Mastercoin) and Scrypt (e.g. Litecoin, Dogecoin, Auroracoin), which could be described as an extension of the SHA-256 algorithm but requiring more physical memory. In contrast to the former, for which specialised equipment for “mining” was developed, deployed and therefore also needed to still be successful as “miner”, the latter allowed “miners” to perform their activities with regular hardware. Currently, efforts are put into using the X11 algorithm for reasons of higher cryptographic security and lower processing costs, so it is quite possible that the algorithms mentioned above will be replaced shortly. " Apparently X11 is going to replace SHA-256 and Scrypt https://twitter.com/taoofsatoshi/status/572487445163450369

nice write, ...although when he says "Darkcoin was launched as a fork of Litecoin - which is a fork of Bitcoin " maybe before he has to mention that now is exclusively bitcoin-based. (Sure someone can say this much better than me) PS, action in progress Yeah, it may not be the most accurate, I'll let him know to mention it's now a fork of Bitcoin... EDIT: Blog corrected!
