2001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Top 10 casino sites on: May 15, 2021, 03:44:41 PM
More like top 10 casinos where you will play on games that are rigged, face shitty support, slow withdrawals and eventually get scammed and lose everything. Never heard of any of those casino that you have listed. Where did you get the list from? Or are you getting paid for promoting them or something? Just googled 888casino  and trust pilot shows that they have 1.6 rating (out of 5) and 915 reviews! I am sure they are the owners of 777casino too. Avoid all casinos listed over here.
2002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: buying monero with bitcoin on: May 15, 2021, 03:32:14 PM
This is all from the point of view of a decentralized, p2p, no kyc exchange. If you pay for bitcoin with an interac e-transfer, I have heard the bank has no idea where the money went, or at least does not know you bought bitcoin. Is this true?

Once you have bought the bitcoin, do the banks and the government know you own bitcoin? Do they tax you on that?

When you buy monero with bitcoin, do they know you now own monero, or are they just guessing that you do, in other words do they have proof that you bought monero? Do they even know you bought monero? I am eagerly awaiting an answer as I think these are fundamental questions.

Also, what is the advantage of using Bisq over other decentralized, p2p, no kyc exchanges.
I am assuming interac e-transfer is the same as EFT (electronic fund trunsfer). Am I right? In that case the bank should know where the money went. In fact they can track it even better. But they won't know what you did with this money. And yeah, banks won't know you bought bitcoin. Honestly they don't give a fuck what you do with the money. It's the government that gives all the fuck. Make a huge bank transaction (>$10k), your bank will report. You won't even know. Keep making transactions like this, you will be on the radar. They will eventually know what you are doing with those bitcoin. Even if you buy Monero, they will get you as long as you use a centralized exchange.
2003  Economy / Speculation / Re: new tax rumor on crypto on: May 15, 2021, 03:07:06 PM
Which country are you talking about? You do know that each country has their own laws right? Most of the countries already tax any gains on crypto. Few countries like Portugal (I am not sure though) has no tax on crypto gains. And those few countries are also catching up with all regulations. They will eventually impose taxes on crypto gains. By the way, any link to support your claims? Probably those articles you are reading are just trying to spread FUDs.  As for how the market will react, nothing is going to happen. We won't see a huge change. Maybe a slight drop in the price if major countries add some new regulation, but in the long run, won't be affected much.
2004  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is NFT still hot??? on: May 15, 2021, 02:49:06 PM
I have been following NFT for a while and have noticed that the emergence of some animal coins has disrupted the market. Will the market be more stable in June?
What the hell is an Animal  coin? Lol it's the second time I am hearing about this on this forum. Are you guys talking about meme coins like Doge coin and the newer Shiba Inu coin? Stop calling them animal coins. And I don't think they have anything to do with NFTs (but memes do sell real good in NFT market. I have seen people selling meme for hundred thousands of dollars. Insane!).
It's no longer hot like it used to be. The trend/hype seems to be dying eventually. Don't hear about them much anymore.
2005  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Elon Interested in Dogecoin? on: May 15, 2021, 02:41:51 PM
Not sure what he is up to. But people are saying that he bought doge coins for himself. He realized that he can control the doge market. Hence, he is now trying to make as much profit as he can. I doubt that. Maybe he is serious? Who knows... His recent tweet was about him working with doge developers to improve the overall system. Now if this is true, it means he really is into doge and wants to turn this meme coin into something very useful. Or he is just  manipulating the market and trying to get all the profit which I once again seriously doubt. Lets just wait and see what happens next.
2006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto-Casinos and KYC on: May 15, 2021, 02:12:12 PM
I have 2 questions which I would like everyone to please answer and based on the answers can we can have a clear picture.

1- Would you gamble at a crypto-casino knowing it would ask you for KYC documents before withdrawal?

My opinion: No, because fiat casinos offer much better services, odds, and games so I would never want to do KYC at a crypto casino and if I was going to do it, I would rather play at a fiat casino like bet365. There are countless options of exchanging your Bitcoins to skrill/neteller and deposit to play. I don't think that's a problem for anyone so unless crypto casinos offer better services, I won't play there if KYC is required. On top of everything else, the main reason why crypto was made was to keep ourselves anonymous and if crypto casinos should follow the same path.
-snip-
Fiat casinos offer better services like what? I have heard people complaining about bet365 confiscating their funds. And I am sure "skrill" and "neteller" (never used them so don't know much about them) has KYC requirements since they deal with fiat currency. So you have to go through KYC either way if you wish to play with your bitcoin (by converting it to fiat). And not all crypto currencies were made to keep us anonymous. Bitcoin won't keep you anonymous.

2-  Do you feel safe giving out your KYC to online crypto-casinos?
My opinion: After the documents are sent, they go through a number of people and online casinos keep changing their staff from time to time and in some case, if a staff member knows my address and in case I am a high-roller I would be in some serious trouble because the staff member can track me and even blackmail me to some extent. I am ok with giving my identity to known sites like bet365 or williamhill but I am still not comfortable verifying myself at a lesser-known crypto casino.
So "staffs" at bet365 or willamhill never changes? They won't blackmail you? Lol.
2007  Economy / Economics / Re: Enjoy comunism: Venezuela raises monthly minimum wage to $2.40 on: May 14, 2021, 10:58:51 PM
Oh wow. At first I thought it was raised to $2.40 per hour and I was a little surprised. But then I noticed it was $2.40 per month. Now that is messed up. And really? They can only buy a cheese and a litter of milk? How are they surviving? Their government really fucked up. They were supposed to be rich. They were once one of the crucial oil producing nation in Latin America. See how corruption can destroy a nation? I have heard now goons and warlords are taking over everything. This is really sad.
2008  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traders Don't easily lend out money. on: May 14, 2021, 10:44:55 PM
Why would they? Like you said, they need those money. They can invest it on trading and make more profit instead of lending it to you. If they lend it to you, there is a chance that you will lose it and you are going to take time to repay him. Hence waste of resource for the lender. And yeah, just because someone made profit, you shouldn't be asking money for them. I have actually seen people like this. They have no shame.
Work for your own money, nobody owes you anything.
This is true. Preach more.
2009  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ways to earn in crypto in 2021 on: May 14, 2021, 10:28:23 PM
Is this a list of ways to lose all your money in 2021? Okay, regular trading and staking makes sense, but suggesting someone to invest in shitcoins? No, you shouldn't do that. You are just encouraging more shitcoins to appear in the market. We don't want that. Meme coins are the same as shitcoins. Even coins that are airdropped are usually shit coins. You don't want to waste your time hunting those shitcoins, do you? All "ways" that you have pointed out will end up in a disaster in the long run.  Too risky. Better to hold a currency and forget about it until its time to take your profit.
2010  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin decline is not related ONLY to Elon Musk! Binance is also related to it! on: May 14, 2021, 09:58:10 PM
Yeah, its not Elon Musk only. Various factors caused the price to fall. Starting from US regulators probably going to be more strict, with some countries imposing restrictions, the price was bound to crash. But, Musk did play a greater role over here. As soon as he tweeted about how "bad" bitcoin is to the environment, the price started to tank. When he said Tesla won't accept bitcoin, people started to panic thinking that eventually the whole world will stop using bitcoin based on how "bad" it is to the environment. And remember, there were many people that entered the market just because Tesla invested in bitcoin. Those people left as soon as teslas announced that they won't accept BTC. So yeah, Musks tweet did have a high impact on the current crash. Look at how Doge went up again as soon as he said he will be working with the doge dev team.
2011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Man lost £20,000 in one night after becoming addicted to online gambling! on: May 14, 2021, 06:12:06 PM
Quote
After becoming addicted to online casino games in March last year, he lost £40,000 in the space of a month, losing half of that in just one night.

After losing that money too, he found himself in massive debt, and contemplated taking his own life.
https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/man-lost-20000-one-night-24067466

I don't know why they are caught up in this moment but I think people know the risks yet they still try. Was it appropriate for him to call the gambling firm wrong or he was right? (See the last part of the article or better read the 3 mins. article instead)
That's nothing. I bet there are more people that have lost even more overnight. They can either afford the loss or they are just addicted. Nothing else. They wanted to get rich over night. Tried their luck. Lost. And now they either move on or mourn and regret forever.
The guy made a stupid mistake. Why would he borrow money to gamble? What's worse is that he trying to take his own life. He is going to escape, but what about his loved ones? The people who are close to him?
2012  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk caused BTC crashed today. Buy the dip on: May 13, 2021, 11:45:42 PM
Animal coins are extremely popular lately even many outsiders came to buy it. But most of them crashed. BTC crashed for nearly 15% today. With this craze, I sense that bull market has come to its last phase. There are still chance to earn money but I would suggest you to be more cautious. Go and seek for long-term solid project and hodl. There are a few solid projects I have followed:

1. Shield Protocol:http://shieldex.io/#/home (The First Decentralized Risk-free Perpetual Contract)  Excellent idea  (risk-free) and solid technology
2. Parami Protocol: https://parami.io/  (AD3.0 for Web3.0!)   Famous founder and good team background

I assume these two projects will start IDO soon. Do you think they are solid enough to hodl?
What the hell is an "Animal' coin. Are you talking about Doge and SHIB? Lol.

Anyway, the bull run isn't over. It is just that the market is overreacting to Teslas and Elon Musks decision. Give it a few weeks and then you will see everything is back to normal like it used to be. And are you just shilling for those projects? Sounds very suspicious when you keep on using the word "risk-free".
2013  Economy / Economics / Re: A Sudden Price Drop in The Crypto Markets on: May 13, 2021, 11:16:32 PM
A sudden price drop in the crypto markets along with the deepening points loss in the dow jones point to a a slow and steady downward trend as of late. Is the bull run of 2021 over? Are these the marks of the beginning of something much worse to come? A major recession, a new crypto winter? What could possibly be next? Any comments and thoughts are more than welcome.
The bull run already ended before the crash. The price of bitcoin was somewhat stable. The sudden drop is because of the recent announcement by tesla. That was a shit move by Tesla and Musk, but you can't blame them for the crash. They are party responsible, but then people are more responsible for the crash. When tesla announced that they won't be accepting bitcoin, probably everyone started to panic. Some people maybe thought that Tesla will sell the bitcoins that they were holding and cause the market to collapse. And then there is this fear of the regulators.
2014  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying and selling bitcoins in Iran on: May 13, 2021, 02:59:23 PM
As you know, most countries in the Persian Gulf have accepted bitcoin and the world of digital currencies, and in addition to oil, which is their most important asset, they can make a large share for themselves by mining bitcoin.

-snip-

But in a strange move, Iran has closed the payment gateways of all exchange offices that operated in Iran and treated them like swindlers.
also the owners of digital currency mining machines are guilty and will be dealt with severely.

What could be the reason for all this government pressure on people not to mining bitcoins?
Probably they aren't ready for crypto currencies. I mean they don't know much about it. They have no clue how to track it and regulate it. Probably they think bitcoin is "evil" and will be used only for "evil" purposes such as money laundering. Did they put a total ban in your country? I have heard only few countries did that and most of them are poorly developed. Has no advanced technologies and only little education about blockchain.
Sad, your government think the only way to fix it is through putting a ban instead of trying to learn more about it.
2015  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla will accept $ because they're environment friendly on: May 13, 2021, 02:51:23 PM
Honestly guys, this guy Elon is a bad joke. He acted like a 10 years old kid, buying BTC and then realizing these are not good for the environment, he is making fun of all planet and treats us like...

I've lost my last grams of respect for this guy, he will never be for me anything more than a bad joke, a manipulating narcissist.

There it is, enough, the news is Tesla will accept $ because they're environment friendly. I'd never buy a Tesla car in my life even if they will accept carrots as a form of payment (which are environment friendly of course).
Lol you think he didn't know about proof of work and all those negative "environmental" effects bitcoin and mining was having? You think he didn't do any research or learn about it? Obviously he did. He knew this, but Tesla (and him) still bought bitcoins when the price was low. When the price went up, as far as I know they sold some and made huge profit. And now they are claiming bitcoin is bad for environment? Either Musk is trying to drop the price, or he was forced to make this statement. Who knows..

So everyone is blaming Elon now. My question is what would you do if you were filthy rich like him and you knew that it's easy for you to manipulate the market? What would you do if you knew that one positive tweet from you will skyrocket the market and one negative tweet will crash the market? I think you would do the same.
-snip-
Just because you might do something like this, doesn't mean everyone is going to be doing the same.
2016  Economy / Speculation / Re: What make people panic sell? on: May 12, 2021, 11:05:27 PM
We saw the past from $10 to 60k is going up and up. So it sure it will reach $500k next destination.
But why the hell people panic sell now after it reach this high amount?
Do people really still think it goes to 0?

There soulnd't be any sale presure given the history that we see Bitcoin only going up in value
Lets say you invested all of your savings. Thousands of dollar. These are the money that you can't afford to lose. How would you react when you see the market move against your expectation? You are going to panic. You will fear that you will lose all your money and you can't let that happen. Hence you sell it and get out of the risk. You see what's wrong over here? You couldn't afford the loss. Hence you panicked. If you invested spare money and losing those wouldn't affect you, you wouldn't panic. You would hold it even if the price dropped. Now you understand why people sell in panic?
2017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin will drop 90% more, better cash out to BTC now on: May 12, 2021, 10:41:14 PM
Here you have it folks, Max Keiser is rarely wrong, this guy know his stuff so you better cash out to BTC now while you still can and earn some valuable bitcoins, don't be greedy... any amount of BTC is better than Dogecoin

https://twitter.com/maxkeiser/status/1392552322220318728
He probably is never wrong because he always states the obvious? I mean we all know that the price of doge coin is going to crash anytime soon, right? Wait few more days/weeks, and if Musk (or anyone) doesn't tweet about doge or creates a hype, the price is going to crash. People will eventually start selling their coins and start taking profit.
Doge has skyrocket more than enough. Better to sell, take your profit and reinvest on coins that are more reliable like bitcoin or ethereum.
2018  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins or Tokens with a good potential like SHIBA INU. on: May 12, 2021, 09:09:36 PM
Hello,
Can anyone introduce some coins or tokens with a good potential like SHIBA INU?
In the last 24h, that token increased about 468.20%.

Thank you.
You do know what SHIBA INU is just a shit coin taking advantage of the current doge hype? Once the hype is over, its going to die and leave your dry. Or maybe if Musk starts tweeting about it, may survive.
Anyway, the price has already gone up. You are too late. But those are shit coins. They can get pumped up even higher. So you may get lucky if you are willing to risk. But don't. Remember, most of those shitcoins are held by the developers. So they will dump it as soon as they see the price going up.
2019  Economy / Speculation / Re: Would it be foolish to take out a crypto loan at this stage of the bull market? on: May 12, 2021, 09:02:55 PM
I am looking to increase my bitcoin holdings and i am looking at taking a crypto backed loan with one of the leading platforms? i would be fine to take this loan out a few months ago but at this stage of the bull run how risky would it be ,i know a loan can be risky to begin with, but am i just playing with fire or is there a good chance it will pay off? it would be a 15000 dollar loan a 50% ltv for more information, thanks
Yes, that would be really foolish. Don't take loans to make risky investment. Remember the golden rule? Invest only what you can afford to lose. Can you afford to lose the loans you have taken? How will you be able to repay it?
And the price has already gone up. It's currently stable between $54,000 to $58,000. Even if it goes higher, I doubt its going to jump much. So, the risk is not worth taking. But if you really want to risk it, then go ahead. But make sure you have a backup plan.
2020  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sumo betting seems rigged - can you make profit with it? on: May 12, 2021, 08:23:58 PM
Nothing to be surprise about to be honest. Every sports and games are sometimes rigged. Money can buy anything. Even professional players can fall into the hands of greed.
After all they all are human and to err is human, right?
-snip-
Do you feel that knowing that a sport may be rigged you could actually turn it in your favour?
-snip-
You can make profit from it if you are involved with one of those people that are rigging the games or have some kind of information from the inside (which is very unlikely for ordinary people like us). Or you may just get really lucky and win it.
